I think it looks great. I love the details. Sadly, I couldn’t ever pay that much for a figure myself, but I think that’s definitely a great one. Thanks for sharing your pics of it, OP!
Lies! This is truly a mesmer conspiracy!
How else can you explain his incredible ability to be in two different sections of Lion’s Arch at the same time?
You’re only guaranteed a chest drop the first time you kill the boss. Every other time only gives you a chance at a chest drop. You also have to participate in killing the boss (either by going in to fight one of the three champions or by defending the siege carriers in the three lanes) and have all three champions die in order to get the achievement.
They took three years to figure out the problem with the staff at SB, how long will it take to gather enough insight to know that there is even a problem in the general database or with certain parameters that affect the data selections that create the reward tables.
They fixed the Final Rest drops in the first couple of months of 2013. So, yeah, didn’t take three years for them to fix it, but it still took them some time to figure it out.
I’m not talking about the ones that want to gamble for the ghost mini, I’m talking about the ones that legitimately want it because they like it – not for its rarity, not for brag rights, not for gambling addictions etc. etc.
Also… 14th vine kill and surprise surprise, no coat box yet again.
I must either have horrible luck, or I’m doing something wrong. 90% of the time I run the south lane, though my luck didn’t change when I did top or middle either so…
A guildie got one her first one, one her second run, and then none for the next 10+ runs. I think it was around run #15 she finally got coat #3. I was luckier; one the first time, one the second time, none the third time, and then one the fourth time.
Your location won’t have anything to do with it. Like you said, it’s just RNG. :\
Funny. When I hear about someone devoting that much resources and effort to something so inconsequential, I start to question their sanity….
Of course, it’s also players with these kinds of resources that have periodically jacked tp prices to ridiculous levels for personal profit.
So, uh, you may find me lacking in empathy.
Ditto. When it comes to RNG bags (ToT, wintersday gifts, and other similar things), people are making the conscious choice to gamble, often thousands upon thousands of times. They choose to waste that much gold (and, often, waste real life money in order to get gold to waste) for a mini that can’t be sold and is only wanted because of the fact that it’s so rare (and for the completionists out there who like to get every mini in the game).
So yeah, I can’t really feel much in the way of empathy for chronic gamblers.
You probably missed over newly added ones. The best way to see what you may have missed is to look at the full world map. Hover your cursor over each map title (ie. over “Queensdale 1-15”) to see if you actually have 100% for each map.
And yes, always double check to verify you got the Chantry of Secrets one.
Thank you for making my favorite weapon even more fabulous, Anet!
A few days ago i was doing teq with lots of people, I died and teleported to the WP. After swimming back to teq I only saw a few people running around not doing teq cause they knew they were not enough people. SO ANNOYING.
That’s not how it works. You don’t get moved to a new map just for dying and waypointing within the same zone. You have to leave the zone (either by choice or by a disconnection) to lose your spot in it during a high traffic time.
It’s shorter, and yeah, once everyone knows what to do, I think it’ll be pretty quickly done. The hardest part is making sure people defend the siege carriers.
I’ve been in two today that beat it. Most groups tend to get caught up on the Mangler.
1. Yes.
2. You’re allowed to, but there is usually a period of time where you’re not allowed to send gold to/from a new account. The length of this period is unknown and is there to prevent hacked accounts from draining gold by sending it to other accounts. And you do need to be careful as to how you send your gold, as it can look suspicious. You could set up a private guild with a bank as a way to move gold between accounts.
3. No, he’s technically not allowed to do that. But, honestly, I don’t think it’s something that would be stopped, as long as no illegal activity is going on.
4. He’s allowed to give things to people as much as he wants; he just needs to be careful about how he sends it, as large sums of gold sent through the mail CAN look suspicious. Again, he could consider the private guild bank option and have the people he trusts have access to it.
5. You’d only get banned for being a gold seller if you’re actively spamming gold selling website info or are caught buying/selling.
6. Doubt it.
Ayrilana.1396Either people are using it more often nowadays because it’s the new catchword to grab attention or they have absolutely no idea what it means.
so i should have said “home instances unfair for some races” do you know whats equal to saying that?
According to Oxford racism is: The belief that all members of each race possess characteristics, abilities, or qualities specific to that race, especially so as to distinguish it as inferior or superior to another race or races.
I’m sorry, but that’s not even close to being the same/equal meaning.
Euhm, you guys say of turning laurels into gold? But how? They seem useless to me. Only for ascended items but I have saved like 350 atm withering?
As others said, you can get a bag of t6 materials for 1 laurel. Each bag contains three randomly selected t6 mats. So, yeah. You’re sitting on a lot of gold.
I’ve always found it odd that the fancy wintersday, hexed, witch, and ancestral outfits DO maintain the female model style on both asura and charr females, but all the other outfits do not. It’s very inconsistent and frustrating.
Here’s Dulfy’s guide for ascended crafting (specifically for heavy chest and legs).

You’ll need 1200 silk scraps for the chest alone, if you craft the bolts of damask yourself (which I’d recommend rather than buying, if you’re short on gold). That there will probably be your biggest gold sink. You’ll also need a fair bit of the other cloth used for making the bolts, which can also be a bit pricey. But if you take your time, salvage every bit of cloth items you get, and put in buy orders rather than buying the lowest seller with things needed from the TP, I think you’ll have enough gold.

I’m not that big on the RP front in Guild Wars 2, but how likely is it to actually find people doing ERP in major cities? The emotes system is almost like, map wide.
People would surely always do it in their personal home instance.
The only times I’ve “seen” it outside of instances were while wandering around The Grove. Obviously, it’s nothing I see daily, but it’s happened quite a few times. that being said, I doubt we’d ever see something that could possibly result in legal action in the very public areas of the game.
Might be neat…
But frankly, I don’t wanna walk into a city a see a ton rule34 RPing with a crowd of level 1’s.
Lol rule34 has nothing to do with children.
Technically, rule 34 has everything to do with everything.
I know you say you unlocked the achievements, but are you sure you unlocked them on the character you’re attempting this on? You have to play through the story for the chapter for each character you may want to take through the achievements. If you have done that, then I’m afraid I don’t know what else to do. :\
You have to have completed the story on a character before you can attempt the achievements.
Do you mean the full Personal Story, all the way through to completing Arah?
No, no. I mean you have to complete the Living Story chapter connected to the achievements you’re trying to do. Each character has to have done that in order for that character to attempt achievements.
You have to have completed the story on a character before you can attempt the achievements.
Hobby Dungeon Explorer has a cap on how many times you can get AP for it.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dungeons_%28achievements%29
“This achievement is capped at 200.”
People who don’t want to play kids must be those types of adults who think they are smarter than kids. No, you just got more knowledge.
I’m so tired of stupid boring adults who think being boring is fun. I hate them. Most adults have some serious problems. I don’t understand why they want to be boring, bully, mean and self-centered all the time.
All adults suck hard. And you enforce your corruption on kids, alot.
Stop making more monsters, please.
Wow, it’s like reading a LiveJournal entry of mine from when I was 14 and upset that my parents grounded me.
As for the OP, I don’t see how it could work. Sylvari, for example, are never children. Would there just be no Sylvari in this situation? Plus, the story would have to be reworked to make sure any deaths were not those of children (due to the typical restrictions based around child characters in certain media). And, as a personal note, I have no interest in making GW2 more like The Sims. I love GW2. I love The Sims. I would not love more of a hybrid between the two.
The paragraph in question is most likely referring to selling your account/items on your account for real-life money or (for example) currency in another game.
In-game player to player trades and sales are allowed, but you do it at your own risk; support can’t and won’t help you if something goes wrong.
Hm, that is odd then. I’m still 8 days off from my monthly reward, so I obviously haven’t tried it out myself yet.
I’m pretty sure the 2% gold find boost is automatically added to your account when you open the reward chest (that’s how it is for account bonuses when you get AP cards). If there’s a corresponding item, it’s probably just meant to be deleted.
The colors don’t even factor into it on me. If you aren’t already doing this, make sure your camera is aimed down onto the area you’re facing. Then (using normal keyboard keybindings) place your left pinkie on 1, ring finger on 2, etc.; these will be the four notes/lines on the left side. Then have nothing on 5. Then right index finger on six, and place the rest of your fingers accordingly; these will be the four notes/lines on the right side. I find if I’m looking down onto the board with my fingers in place, it’s easy for me to see which button I need to press for each light.
Mesmer portals work. Have fun.
That’s an interesting thought. Lol. I might have to suggest it next time we have this and people start dropping out.
The problem with portals is that you’ll have to have multiple mesmers who can make sure their portals won’t cause the crabs to miss checkpoints. It takes a lot of organization.
What if the run is free? do you report then?
Yes, in my opinion. If they’ve obviously skipped past Lupi, then they did an exploit and should be reported.
It will be abyss that simply looks extra dark because of the armour piece. There is nothing darker so it cannot be anything else. It is possible that the original screenshot has low brightness settings as well.
That’s not necessarily true. Abyss looks like a dark grey on many light armor pieces while Midnight Ice will look almost pitch black, for example. Many things will factor into how it looks, including (as you already mentioned) graphics settings, the armor type, the armor piece, etc.
I think “racism” is definitely the wrong word to use here.
As it is, I rarely go to my home instance on any character, so the lack of merchants doesn’t bother me. As a side note, though, there is a Belcher’s Bluff npc in each home instance.
I deleted my first ranger. Norn, level 80. Full t3 cultural skins, 100% world completion, all pets unlocked, ascended trinkets (didn’t bother with weapons/armor for her), and all story done on her up until I deleted her. I deleted her because I already had one other fatty norn (my thief), and I made a sylvari ranger whom I liked a lot more than the norn one. Plus, I wanted an extra free slot in case I got bored and wanted to make something new (without having to buy yet another character slot).
Hopefully this will stop the “It lets you activate the consumable” nonsense.
Have you tried making it so you are able to Activate Built Upgrades? I’m not sure if that’d affect it or not, but those of us who are able to use the mission consumables also are allowed to Activate Built Upgrades.
Story
That. You have to do the STORY. So, make sure you’ve done that.
Mission Control DOES mean you can activate the consumable; those in my guild whose ranks allow for Mission Control are able to use them. Are you the leader of your guild, or are you of a rank specifically designated by a leader that allows Mission Control?
It’s not RNG at all; it’s the loot all characters get for completing the level 20 story.
You get a piece of chest armor, I believe, that has the same skin as the T1 piece for your armor weight class. It doesn’t unlock the skin in the wardrobe, or so I’ve been told. And while I’d like to get more pieces unlocked later in the story, I don’t really care too much.
I’m pretty sure they won’t be able to help you here. That does suck a lot.
Everyone gets the same list of dailies.
It means you can activate the consumable.
In response to the suggestion of Anet sending out an in-game mail:
Not meaning any offense here, but the people who are posting about the mail (and the many people who haven’t posted but who are also unsure as to its validity) didn’t pay much heed to the red notice at the bottom that says “This was sent from another player, etc., etc.” Thus, I highly doubt an official message would do much good to many people, either because of a language barrier or because of a tendency to not really pay attention to what Official Mails say.
I believe I got Entropy and some wintersday tonics. I think I sent mine 70 heavy loot bags and a Quaggan Killer Whale backpack cover.
No. There won’t be mounts. Where’s the dead horse gif?
If the ranger was able to hit you, it’s because you stealthed after they started to channel Rapid Fire. Channeled attacks that are started before the other player activates stealth will still hit their target, until the channeled attack/spell has ended.
It is if you want ascended gear. Also, each legendary requires Gifts that are made by specific professions (level 400 gifts). If you don’t plan to make either of those, it’s not too worth it.
I just made it up to the rare back piece (intricate weaponsmith’s backpack), and I was able to choose Valkyrie stats.
Edit: After promoting it to the highest level back item, the valykrie stat option disappeared. It was only available for Intricate and Ornate; once you get to Elegant, it’s gone. Kind of weird.

I’ve never played a game with that kind of feature, so nope, I don’t miss it. And it doesn’t sound like anything I’d want in a game.
