Imo stability is right now biggest engi weaknes. In PvE and SPvP its balanced by other abilites but in WvW we suffer a lot because of this.

A coordinated “retal bomb” as we call it, will do a lot of damage to AC users. If you claim you do not ever have anyone like an engineer using fumigate or FT through the door, I would believe you are simply unaware or not being fully honest. I could be wrong, as I have not played on every server, but in my Experience with JQ, BG, TC, Maguuma, SoS, and SoR, I know I have seen the occasional player do this on every one of those servers.
Hmm you must have really weak and dumb opponents there on US servers when things like this actualy work for you no offense. Personaly I play with FT while in zerg, hit a tons of doors with it and never ever die by retaliation ever. You clearly see when you getting hits by it you just stop push a button thats all. Ofc there are sometime some pathetic individuals who did it and die behind doors but honestly what is one kill in WvW:-)

In WvW its useless and you just made your commander angry. Fire fields, water fields and blasts thats what you need bring into WvW if you wanna be usefull:-)
It is? Why do the commanders on the tier one servers ask for light fields then ?? Don’t listen to this, it is bad advice.
As with any combo, they have different uses in different situation. Often when assaulting a gate, for example, you want a few light fields and stack retaliation to retal bomb those inside attacking your players on the gate. You often even get the players using conal attacks that work through the door. This can kill then on it’s own.
I dont know on what T1 server you play but on SFR commanders never ask for light fields its too short buff for open fights. Stack might from fire fields and empower and rush with mid fight waterfields healing is much more effective. Btw I dont met for long time ppl so dumb to stay on other side of door while whole zerg knocking. Every smart defender pick AC or start shooting on door from cata to knock off ppl from rams or with treb to stole supply.
Also you support ppl on rams only with might and healing and its only by field blasts and empowers. Light field there mess it up. I actualy saw few lost fights just because some dumb noob put light field under rams.

@Rozbuska noone in gw2 even had bodyblocking so I’m not quite sure if we can say “but have them is simply worse” – cause we cannot tell for sure how it would be if some feature have been implemented or not – cause we are lacking precedence.
Haven’t played WAR but I’ve played some games where bodyblocking existed and it was very important to position yourself right.
btw who said that our allies had to block our projectiles? they already doesn’t so I’m not quite sure why not letting an character passing through another character had to change that.
I personaly like tactical options what it can bring on table especialy on WvW but here is one thing and its trinity. In games like WAR you can make tank wall in doors because tanks was simply incredibly tanky and there was dedicated healers who kept them alive fo looong time. But in GW2 even most tanky spec dont survive on one place more than 10s under preassure.
It will end up on bunch of ppl who died stuck on place because someone acciedently bodyblock them and they cant run out and heal themselfs. It will need to change whole game mechanic to make it work. Bodyblock in GW2 is simply bad idea.

It sounds good on paper but in real enviroment its pain. Who played WAR knows. Also it will incredibly increase server and network usage so only thing what you actualy get will be lags. Absence of bodyblocking isnt perfect solution but have them is simply worse.

The only setback I see for using anything other than elixirs is the condition removal and cooldowns. Condition removal is all but essential for fighting some bosses even in the open world as well as some mobs, and the cooldowns on turrets are just plain stupid still imo, it’s like they don’t really want us using them. The pickup times are worse than any other device we have and they aren’t all the same pickup times either. I have no idea who thought that was a good idea but something should really be done about it. PVE should not suffer because they want to overcompensate in PVP balance.
Also, the benefits of having explosive heavy builds in no way enhances the rocket turret enough to be worth it. Seriously. The thing is way too slow for the damage it puts out.
These are the reasons why kits are so good, it’s not because of kit refinement they thought was the problem it’s because no one’s actually thought about how terrible they made the turrets in their cooldowns in their weakness and in their lack of useful F skills. They should sit down and revamp some of the things they did with the F skills to make them more useful, and they should definitely make a uniform cooldown system for all turrets to eliminate the slow timing most especially for pickup times.
You have issue with condi in PvE? You doing something wrong man.
I must agree on turret cooldown especialy cd after you pick them up shoud be reduced to max 10s. Another problem of turrets is they are split into too many traits and if you want use turrets for something more then free knockback you need sacrifice everything else.
Imo solution for turrets and gadgets will be merge them into kits like turret kit with all 5 turrets.

Actualy due to notes there was bug underwater where every grenade explode twice instead of once. Why it was noticed by devs after almost 2 years is myth for me:-)

Nope. Grenades are weak compare to Bombs and half damage are from condis so its waste in zerk gear. Rampager is better for them but you lose that crit dmg. Bombs has bigger damage multiplier and are full power based so maximaly contribute from zerk gear. Its not about BoB or knockbacks its about Bomb AA damage. Force on melee is bad point of view:-) I hate when I must go on range. In zerg runs all in party come to melee. If not boss chase you or use unwanted behavior. Pretty much all mobs are safe on melee range if you know their combat mechanics imo much more mobs are more dangerous on range than melee.

Basically Vox’s build with bombs. I dislike the lack of vigor, keep in mind that you already have a 20% damage reduction while disabled, so protection on disable is redundant. One of two has to go.
It’s interesting your choice of bombs, though, but healing from bombs forces you to use THAT kit instead of elixir/tool/Pistol-shield. I prefer to have a reliable “out of jail” utility like elixir S, which is also a team utility (stealth for interrupting stomps).

Those two reduction stacks afaik. I use FT before but bombs has much more utility better damage and heal as bonus. I sure dont use only bombs you pretty much still swap all 3 depends on situation:-)

Its sounds good but its master trait and for me are infused bombs and medical response much more usefull. But yes those last 10 poins are very moderate, maybe Kit Refinement – it will provide much more defensive utility

You’re sitting on a point, so you don’t need swiftness.
Trade it for Forceful Explosives in Explosives for larger bomb AoE.
I thinking about that but swiftness is better and not only for runing far but also running on point. You often just run out of damage like eles aoe just because swiftness so you dont need waste block or dodge. Larger bomb aoe is pretty much pointless because you use bobms primary as self heal and to counter close range classes.

Some ppl here (especialy those one what call self ’’hardcore’’ PvPers) are totaly egocentric morons with brain flushed in toilet.
- Its my game my fun its only on me how I enjoy playing. Dont tell me how play my game. I also dont tell you how pathetic you are when you never leave Mists.
- You are not so hardcore as you probably think. GW2 pvp skill is joke. Show me how you played top pvp in gw1 and then we can talk about hardcore and skill.

This skill is sux end of story. Design idea is great but implementation cant be worse.
- Too long cd compare to other engi heals
- very short window to proper use. And no utility. It needs work differently. More like passive. After activation it will be sit there and wait till HP drops. Not 5s. Hours.
- 180 range of toolbelt is too low to use in SD builds. For rest its useless.

Hi guys its time to post another build of mine SPvP this time:-) Recently here was lots of talking about bunker builds so I think its right time for that:-)
I play this in TPvP for last 2 months and number of enemies what you can outheal and tank on point is just OP.

- Basic idea of this bunker (well of all bunkers) is survive and outheal as much damage as you can and hold point.
- Due to maximum toughness, traits and runes is incoming damage heavily reduced.
- You have tons of dodges, blocks, blinds, condi clearers and nice jump off on Elixir Gun.
- Healing is just ridiculous. Heal turret with blast on short CD provides tons of healing, you have passive regeneration and you have Super Elixir. Heal bombs are great source of heal and also damage especialy if you meet some brainless builds like illusion spam Mesmer or spirit Ranger.
- Damage isnt that bad. You have pretty good condi damage. It takes time but in 1v1 situations you are still able to kill ppl:-)
There is no way how to beat this build 1v1. Usualy you are able to survive 1v3 for very long time.

I like this daily. This is one thing in the game that AP farmers can’t abuse, yet. It also makes all TA and SA games a lot more interesting. Queues are shorter and teams are more diverse.
Man you are wrong. Only result of this are tons of noobs and pve players in team arenas. Diverse is today word for killing noobs?

I’ve got a question for all you die hard achievement hunters. What happens if your power cuts out, Internet goes down, you end up in the hospital, vacation, etc. Do you call one of your friends to play your account to finish dailies?
I have 3 slaves for that. First as engine for home-made manual generator, second use smoke signals when wi-fi comes out (he has actualy pretty good ping) and last one plays. I havent friends to call. I dont need them I have achievments!

This is pretty much stab into back for all achievment hunters. I play TPvP every day but I refuse to be forced into wins. I havent stable team and waiting for win in solo Q is super frustrating. Achievment hunting was last thing what keep me playing and I was proud I never miss anything since headstart.
What do you Anet even thinking?
