More like make the profanity filter unable to be disabled. If the head honcho of a cutthroat band of aerial pirates is using “crud” and “noggin” for potty language, then obviously GW2 is rated 4+ and any unfiltered cuss must be met with permaban.

I say occasionally because I don’t like wasting hours of my life as a mindless drone amassing fantasy currency in a multiplayer game.

toxic’s the most reliably valuable with what the samples are going for

the watchwork/aetherblade salvageables give charged cores/lodes (and onyx from watchwork), but not as reliably worthwhile as the samples

scarlet’s personal may well have the better/only chance at zealot/keeper’s/moamech, since you can’t pile spare keys into them like the rest

Only Vets and higher will drop Code Fragments, I’ve noticed, but it’s not guaranteed. The Champions will always drop a Code Fragment matching its type.

I did get a Zealot recipe from the chest after beating the Marionette, but I was curious to know if it dropped from the Lair chests too. Seems the answer is yes!

I know for fact that the regular menders and reavers drop scarlet/watchwork codes, as well as the toxic, molten and aetherblade normal mobs all dropping their respective ones. It’s just a lot less common because of their tier.

Seems that the typing for the codes matches up to all of the mobs, except that non-champions (including small watchworks upscaled to champ level) will also drop the personal scarlet codes, likely due to their numbers being so high (you already end up with much more watchwork because of this and the guaranteed champs).

it’d mean a ton less work for them to keep a bunch of functions/scenes that take place in it intact, which i suspect will end up meaning LA is only ruined where it wouldn’t hurt it to be

Might be more to do with not being able to get hits in fast enough. Between the rush to do damage and the rarity of the drops, it’s tough. Sometimes I more than tag an entire spawn of vet nightmares are still get nothing; sometimes I get four code pieces.

Several people have linked recipes in map after failed events and I’ve gotten recipes from the big chest/lair chests, so I’d assume you can get all exotic and ascended recipes from there (though the big chest has a vastly higher chance to drop them).

Guaranteed rare + rare materials and some lucky greens with a chance of being better, plus a shot at the limited recipes (and maybe even mechamoa) isn’t worthwhile? Alrighty, more for me.

I afk for two hours then spend 20 minutes playing to get 2-4 boxes worth of codes, and that’s nothing to scoff at. Even without how much I enjoy pummeling hordes of keyholding mobs with an Omega and my weakness for container-opening, it’s not a bad haul by any means.

Gave in and traded in about half of my codes (maybe 22 total) earlier; got my guaranteed rares/rare alliance items/greens and an extra four rares, two exotics and a recipe. Definitely isn’t a bad feeling when you’re running out of inventory space because there’s a hoard of rare lv80 gear in the way.

But regardless of loot, it’s all made exponentially sweeter than any standard mob/event farming because it involves watching keys pile up in my bags and kicking open a kittenton of chests. Dat booty.

Only reason I stopped doing Liadri for that final hit-her-with-orbs achievement was that Quagkitten walk back up. kitten, that was horrible. Otherwise, loved it.

Definitely could use more solo/controlled group content that isn’t interact-with-object-on-ground achievement. I have serious nostalgia for the days of farming the Molten Alliance facility.

I don’t completely hate open world stuff, mind (on the contrary, I love excuses for tons of loot-bearing mobs), but updates have been lopsided in favor of it. I never played GW1, but I know people could complete pretty much any content solo with NPCs, so it’s understandable that they’d be kittened about having the focus shifted to chaotic public brawls in the supposed sequel.

The hype will die down for Teq, especially if other world bosses are made into open world raid bosses.

In fact, if all the world bosses turn into daily raid boss spawns like Teq is scheduled to, it’ll leave one time slot each day for people to organize on the map (or in an overflow, if need be) to kill the boss.

Given that hype will fizzle and there’ll be many bosses to spread out over, it’ll likely end up being 98% organized players who show up for a scheduled attempt in the hopes of getting unique account bound skins and other rare drops.

In other words, finally a bit of non-faceroll content to give interested parties a bit of challenge (and a reward for that challenge).

Personal story and home instances aren’t of much importance to many players. With an obvious warning that personal story and home instances would be reset/wiped/whatever, I’m sure many, many people would still buy gems for character race change.

They wouldn’t allow them to be wiped cause the of the rewards that would be reopened do to it. Personal stories would have to be transferred over and corresponding spots would have to match with the other, and that would be a lot of work to make that work. As well culture armor wouldn’t work, and there would be hundreds of bugs introduced with many other issues. It’s not as simple as you think due to the nature of how coding works.

I said reset and wiped for a reason. By wiped, I mean removed or locked. Plenty of people wouldn’t care, and it’s cash for anet.

And kitten , that mini is going to be gloriously expensive.

Basically every enemy you kill has a “chance of precursors as well as ascended.”

Only high level fractals and WvW reward chests have the slightest (and I mean slightest) chance of giving you ascended weapons.

These ascended weapons are unique skins found nowhere else in the game.

On top of that, there are unique exotic accessories – not just ascended – that are selling for 40-50g.

The mini has yet to be put on the TP, but kitten , it will be the most valuable mini in GW2 history.

Precursors are mentioned in particular because they have a higher chance of dropping. Or was the first karka event just a ‘chance’ of precursors, eh?

Doesn’t matter if you aren’t guaranteed drops; that raises the specialness of the unique drops. Teq isn’t temporary. The rewards aren’t temporary. You can keep working at it trying to get your goal.
