Heh, my last run of last night, someone yelled the Copper champ no aoe myth, and it still just amazes me that with all the guides out there, people still believe that.
Its no Myth! I have watched his health rise from 50% back to 75%. Worse when it just hangs at 50% and everyone start the debate of AoE or no. Check out Champion Mordrem Husk Copper under behavior.

While the price may have seemed high at first for 1 inventory slot. I was happy to have unlocked all 5. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we get 5 more? 10 shared item slots would be perfect!!!!!! I swear Mom and Dad, I won’t ask for more than 10! Promise!
It seems a high price but it is usable by all of your characters. Consider having 16 characters. Those 5 are always full and have added a huge convenience. No more back and forth to my bank to trade a Terrace pass or multiple passes need! It saves on coin since I no longer have to buy multiple sets of salvage gear for each character, just drop in shared item slot now all my characters have a salvage-o-matic
. And boosters!!! OMG add stacks of boosters, no more hunting for them “what character did I put those on?” not anymore.

So, other than what I have already noted as issues everything had been going great with the 64-bit client.
Now just about to the second, every 2 minutes there is about a 4-5 second hick up where everything pauses and then catches up in fast motion. Have the hardware requirements changed any for the 64-bit client?

I have set up an alliance guild called The Fellowship of the Halls. If anyone wants to take part in it send me a whisper and I will send an invite. All members will be able to invite so we can have hopefully a large alliance of guilds to help each other with the raids, dungeons, fractals, guild missions, pvp, or whatever member guilds wish to do but need more people for.
How is that going to work? I presume members of The Fellowship of the Halls are all guild leaders of other smaller guilds trying to accomplish what they cannot as they exist?
If that’s the case Challenge & Puzzle create instances that you must choose a guild to represent to complete. How can a Fellowship of guilds help the individual guilds with this being the case?
Mind you I am all for the Fellowship and have asked to be invited. I see there are multiple offers for websites, VOIP’s and we are willing to create a The Fellowship of the Halls website also.

I do not regret buying HoT multiple times for our family. With guild halls it really brings home the feeling of guild wars 1 only better. True, there are things to be worked out still. But it seems more like a complete game now than before HoT. I can say it has improved or guild with more on line regularly than the last 6 months before HoT. Not to happy about the guild missions losing some time for completion, and yes it is harder for smaller guilds to compete against larger ones. But they are still able to get everything the larger ones get only slightly slow. Then again as pointed out by a guild member “This other guild I belong to has 469 members and they are no where as far along as we are in the guild hall”

64-bit issues & Pro’s I’ve noticed so far:
- Party Chat some members where not receiving large blocks of chat
- Events in Event Assistant are more informative and show a better sub event
- Game runs smoother and less system intensive
- Some events shown as completed though no achievement or rewards given (could be HoT bug?). Also no active npc’s or foes for that event.
This was all during Prisoners of the Dragon Story instance.
Also, while I have not had any 65-bit crashes it does have some “odd” lag or pausing effect. For example a Mordrem would be 100% I would lay into it with all my skills. Mordrem health bar would move like 5% and on the second run of my skills on it mordrem would just disappear altogether! No body to search, no loot not anything. This is a frequent (as in at least every 3rd foe) occurrence. Some times they just vanish in small groups?!? I would be fighting 4 or 5 and off load a volley of skills and poof! nothing left but my flames? Not a single body.

Do I just report 64-bit bugs using the in game bug tool or on forums?

If we are a scribe and have unlocked Halloween decoration upgrades will we be able to craft the unlocked decoration upgrades after Mad King Thorn returns to his realm? Or are Halloween decorations (and future Wintersday decorations) only craft able during that Holiday period?
Provided you stocked up on the supplies needed. I get that the decorations vendor will only have the supplies during the holiday.

We had successfully completed the Lost precipices Guild Hall Claiming expedition and I was able to touch and accept the bond with the crystal. However The new build disabled our claim and now we have no guild hall. Do we seriously need to do this again? What happens now?

I’m crashing every 1 hour or so. And upon crashing, I have to do a data archive repair……. every… single…. time…..
Considering I’ve been playing since 7am, and it’s 6pm where I am now, you can say it’s been quite annoying.
Is anyone else experiencing this?
That happened twice in the early hours of 3-5 am PST. It has not happened all day from 7:30 am until 3:15 pm PST since then. It seems to only happen with major / large patches or upgrades and usually resolves or stops after the second database repair. For me at least

I can turn 350k into 1000g. That’s not the point of this thread.
Proof? There is reason to question it since you’re using it in your argument.
Apparently some have be building guild catapults with influence. When its done you get a blueprint that they do something with and sell on the TP for approximately 2g each. So basically 500 influence turns into 2g or 350k Influence into 1400g.
Though we have know we were losing influence a long time ago. As mentioned it is there to spend on Favor, Aetherium, & Resonance after HoT.

The Guild Missions selector / re-roller / gear as I understand it is a check box that allows you to check the type of missions you want to play for the following week. So, yes you could check the boxes for the combinations you want. You can change them and it will take affect at the next reset. Or use the default (all checked) to add a +10% bonus Favor reward.

Guild Wars 2 went live at Midnight. Most special events went live at 9a.m. or later then averaged going live at noon. In gw1 special events go live at noon.
My predictions are:
- HoT & Shadow of the Mad King go live at Noon on Oct 23rd. (Take the plunge!)
- Shadow of the Mad King goes live at Noon Oct 23rd and HoT at Midnight. (toss in some entertainment for those last few hours of development)
- HoT & Shadow of the Mad King go live at midnight Oct 23rd. (LOL lets see who’s dedicated!)

Once HoT is out Map Rewards will let you target materials you need for your crafting or other needs. Included are T6 mats, loadstones, and ectos. Every 2 events you complete on a map (other than levels 1-15, Dry Top or Silverwastes) will drop one of the map bonus rewards.
Until then, Silverwastes Event maps + Mystic forge is best. Though I do the boss runs also and that yields between 10-15 ectos for a full set of bosses.

The good news is that many veterans have been waiting for Shadow of the Mad King to return since the Ascent to Madness dungeon was so much fun! Blood & Madness was / is fun also. It just never felt like a true guild wars 2 Halloween with out Mad King Thorn not only joking us to death, but beating us to a pulp or tossing us off cliffs. So yeah, R E A L L Y excited about Shadow of Mad King and Ascent to Madness making a return.

To clarify any confusion. Once your guild has a decoration it has it. You can place it, erase it, and place it again as many times as you want.
Placing a decoration does NOT destroy the decoration.Edit: What this means is that buying another decoration will increase the total number of that decoration you can have placed in your Guild Hall at once.
The only way to loose a decoration is to use it in a scribing recipe (you will loose the old one and gain the improved one).

Unfortunately this still is not as awesome as I had hoped. For just 250 different decorations, it will cost 125 gold. Another 100 gold for the expedition and another 100 gold for a merchant, repair station and vault. 300 gold just to have a decently decorated and basic functions of a guild hall? And we have yet to see the prices for tiers 2-6 of the upgrades.
Absolutely awesome concept for the design of the guild halls. Cost of guild halls it becoming quite high sadly. True, numbers are still being “balanced”

Edit: I watched the stream, and at 40:43, Seth stated you never lose any decorations placed. If you remove it, it goes back into inventory. So….maybe I am interpreting what he said in another way.
Well, yeah. If you placed them they are not lost or removed and therefore the UI shows the “difference between the two”. Notice that the 5 buckets are no tin his inventory anymore? They are talking about Placements not after you “remove” an item.

I would prefer to see reusable Guild Hall decorations rather than having to buy 10’s or 100’s of the same thing in order to decorate our halls. More like how skins are used or as an unlock.

3) Anet should start finally redesigning all the World Bosses, like for start the other Dragon Champions to let them beciome of same quality and difficulty like Tequatl with adding own Achievements and unique rewards to them like Tequatl has.
That has been done. World Bosses became “a waste of time” to many players and were no longer being challenged by players. I literally sat and watched as Shadow Behemoth spawned no one arrived and he left. So difficulty level is adequate.
I agree, they should have special rewards tide to them. But then that’s probably why all world bosses have a chance at dropping a guild hall decoration of them self’s. Maybe not enough but something.

Here is just one of the videos I concluded we would have “Guild Hall Attacks” or need to “reclaim”. There is another video with Link where he makes very similar statements about the “stability / safety” of our guild halls. Then there is this:

There is no ‘reclaiming’ of Guild Halls once you have claimed it. There will be no attacks that you must defend once you have claimed your Guild Hall. I still don’t understand the ‘restoration’ part of the post.
True, reclaiming is a term I use for when the mordrem attack the guild halls after we have claimed it. The restoration process is also what you do to craft from Tent to Building. They have already said there would be attacks after we have claimed the halls, hence the restoration process. Don’t just look at the videos, listen to them. Where did you find they said there would not be?

while small guilds will actually have to talk about guild taxes and try to force their members into doing guild missions out side their comfort zone (e.g. PvP or WvW) to get at least drops of favor to progress and upgrade.
Guild Members should already be contributing to the guild hall. There is no need for a “tax” simply add a line to the MotD asking for donation for Guild Hall Restorations. They should and will donate. After all playing and donating together is what guild halls are about right?

What do we ‘restore’? How is that different than upgrading?
As I understand it, upgrades are bought using coin and add additional features to your hall such as a Tavern Tent. Restorations are what it takes to craft the actual guild hall building. Recall from the linked video above for example if you buy the Tavern T1 upgrade from the Initiative you will get a basic tent like structure you can begin using tavern services from. The actual completed build will cost Favor + Materials + Resonance to create. I presume that a restoration is also what we will pay after the hinted mordrem retaliate and trash our hall.
I do not see this as a “death of small guilds / guild halls” as some in map chat have suggested. Rather it will take a little longer to restore is all. Guild claiming scales and you can LFG for help (just no recruiting in lfg!) if your a solo guild claiming your hall or reclaiming. Think of Guild Halls as a dungeon, how would you succeed in doing a dungeon? Then do the same for Guild Claiming. No Shame in a PUG Hall
I suppose they added the Map Reward System to help off set the material costs of a guild hall. I could be wrong. Though as a PvEr I am excited about those map rewards!!

2) Yes, in the respective “zones” Personal Story for Tyria and LWS3 for HoT. Mastery’s will automatically swap between the zones and level your selected mastery for that zone. In other words you can have two masterys selected at one time but are able to level only one at a time.
3) Dry Top and Silverwastes earn XP as part of Tyria in BWE’s and are their own region of Maguuma Wastes. See Region
4) No, Living World Seasons are essentially their own items and can be earned (or have been) for free by logging in during each episodes two week release. After that they are purchased from Gems.
5) Items will be delivered at next login except for the additional veteran character slot if you qualify. That might take more time.

All guild boons | Missions are crafted using materials. Decorations are bought using coin + Karma + (mystery items) and upgraded using materials (I think, could be wrong).

In my opinion FANTABULOUSLY AWESOME squad UI improvements!!! 10/10 for me
Only two things I would recommend If possible.
1) first character in a sub-squad to have a green commander icon? It would help with organization and serve to decrease some confusion.
2) There was an issues with the drag process where commanders had trouble with the squad ui window auto re-sizing when trying to drag members for forming sub-squads.
I’m guessing in the future other labels can be added to the Riad / Squad menu option?

eh, I used celestial ascended with my druid and appeared to be just fine! In fact some others in our 4 member RAID Squad did not fair as well. Though I did stay ranged 95% of the time.

So Finally was able to get new squad UI as a leader after recent patch. After creating a squad and some one joining it kicked me out. Squad disbanded and now I cannot log back in. I was not able to log in with either of my beta chars and was able to use a non beta char to disband squad and gain access to beta again.

As far as getting there, that’s another story. If I recall correctly one guild hall is reported to be on the north end of Verdant Brinks and another south west I think? I would think guild hall maps will be the ones with the most number of TAG’s up
