Anet should make a new server, since most are filling up. Let’s call it Kielbrand. The bandwagon can start heading there.
People of Tyria! We must join our hands together to face off against the greatest fraud to ever befall our great nation! The election victory of Ellen Kiel is our rallying call. While Evon lost due to the mindless sheep who voted only for a pretty face, do not lose heart! Rise up, and challenge the establishment!!! Join the revolution to take down Kiel!
Do you hear the people sing? Singing the songs of angry men. It is the music of a people who will not be slaves again!
It’s funny how many of the Gnashblade supports act like their opinion is the only one that matters in the world.
Our IS the only voice that matters, since Evon supporters voted for truth. Kiel won via scandal and fraud, so I do not recognize her position.
I vote Kiel because i wont have a black lion RNG box selling charr as a leader. Also, why do you want old lore when you can have new one? #Teamkiel!
Yeah, because a recycled Fire Ele fight, that happens every hour, is so desirable.
Evon supporters! We’re running out of time! Vote vote vote!!!
note – I’ll update the thread with the final count as soon as I can. If Evon loses, prepare for a revolution!
hmmmmm trbbing from Citedel spawn, bad Mag Bad(exploit “wat”)
Speaking of bad, why send 40+ guys to take on an Omega trying to solo Garri? Afraid to take me on 1 v 1?
The Shadow Behemoth uses chaos energy. There is a chaos rift in the Thaumanova reactor. We could be fighting anything.
That’s possible but then we are probably looking at Aatxes and Shadow Fiends. Still not new enemies.
Maybe it’ll be a Shadow Behemoth on fire? Still, no matter how you look at it, a Kiel win is a loss for us players game wide.
If you don’t like my undercutting, you can just buy my items, and then they’d be off the TP!
Just because someone is successful, doesn’t mean they’re evil. The root cause of this blame is jealousy.
A Thaumanova Fractal would just be another fight with a Fire Elemental. We already get that every hour, every single day. But we don’t see Abaddon ever in this game. So his Fractal would be new and original.
Vote Evon, for originality!

So it could be a rehash of SB or the Fire Ele fights? No thank you. Abaddon Fractal is the way to go!
Hmm well Gnash blade is losing by 4% of 9.5million votes. So all we have to do is gather up 38,000 gold and we can tie it up
Better go for 40,000 or 50,000 to get him to win though.
Don’t forget that you can double your votes for Evon! It’s money well spent!
I prefer aspect arena over stupid survival being forced to play upwards of 5 hours to get the achievements was not fun
Just because you aren’t good a Evon’s games, doesn’t mean it’s stupid. If you learn to play, Southsun Survival is quite fun.
because she is a girl, beautiful girl
need more reason ?
This sums up 99% of the Kiel voters. Mindless sheep who fell for a Siren’s song.

Everyone should be voting for Evon Gnashblade. While he’ll be giving discounted Black Lion Keys, maybe he could reward his supporters with a special “Golden BL Key”, one which guarantees you a chance at what you want! This isn’t a part of his campaign promise, but very well could come to pass. Evon is a good charr, and rewards loyalty.
So vote Evon Gnashblade. He loves RNG, and he loves you!
Side note – Should Evon lose, maybe he can punish all of the Kiel supporters by selling them only broken BL Keys. Evon runs a fair business, but strange things can happen if you cross him. Just saying…
The sad part about all this is that a majority of Kiel voters don’t understand what they’re doing. It seems that only 48% of the votes come from rational people who fully understand what his election is about.
Usually the villain dies first. That’ll happen when we team up with Evon to take down Kiel!
Please spread the word. Heroes don’t give up, even when the going gets rough. While Evon is still at 48%, it’s still within striking distance! Vote with all your hearts! Vote Evon Gnashblade!
Ellen Kiel is your personal nemesis. Good job on voting for her. /sarcasm
The real hero is stuck at 48%. But heroes don’t quit! Vote Evon for truth!
I speak for me and what i’m always hearing about this.
As i read future changes i saw this getting loads of new things when it’s just not worth it.
Barely anyone likes this and only uses those skins because they are good looking( not on my opinion). Every place i see comments of this, through the net i only see: “We need real new content” and some more things that i care to say.
Please don’t waste your efforts on this, work on real content like community says. I agree with them.
Hope it reaches GW2 Crew
Seeing as how a majority of the posts in this thread at pro-SAB, I believe that we are the community, and that we feel new SAB content is appropriate. If you hate SAB so much, you aren’t being forced to play it.
You completely misinterpret the word “demand.” There is demand for instant transactions at the cost of some gold as evidenced by the sheer fact that sell orders sell and buy orders fill. This is separate from the demand for the actual item, which you refer to.
Can you reword this please? I’m not sure what your meaning is.
There is a demand for instant gratification (getting an item right away, thus willing to pay higher). Then there’s a demand for just having an item (set on a price, and is willing to wait for it).
My 500 votes are still going to be cast. Probably on Evon.
Good job! Fight the good fight!
Military leader my rear. We’re the ones who did all the work.
This election is turning into a fraud. There’s no way Evon could be losing this. Something’s fishy.
Those who vote for Kiel are conspiracy theorists who think RNG is the root of all evil. Don’t buy into their tin-foil hat theories. Vote Evon, for justice!
ZOMG! Magswag is Tier 2 now? So that means we’re ahead of DB!
Yes it’s Pawn Stars of Tyria and Chumlee is a Charr.
You, sir, just made my week. I wish there were a “like” button… so I could SMASH the thing!
Wait Kiel won’t even bring back her awful mini game if she wins ? Huh, can you believe how horrible that woman is ? She creates an awful mini game, realizes how much everyone hates it and then decides to steal Evon’s minigame…
She is indeed a glory stealer!
…snip….I honestly don’t think it was expected that the sort of TP activity we’re seeing would evolve from the way the TP was set up, but I also see why they may not feel compelled to act on it.
There is also zero regulation of the TP. A player who has acquired massive amounts of gold has free reign to wreck havoc in any given market through manipulation or monopolies without fear of punishment. Where is the real world simulation in this?
And why should they fear punishment…John Smith himself states every chance he gets that he has no plans or inclinations to interfere with players interactions with the TP.
When prices are not where they need to be…where Anet wants them to be would be better putting it…are players accumulation of any given item considered? Is breaking up a monopoly considered? That would take hard work and I suppose it would be much easier to….
…further restrict loot.
Was the wealth not more evenly distributed before all the massive nerfs to open world farming? As I recall TP players were still bloating about much they were making…the only difference was, so were farmers. Sadly, this is not the case anymore.
Wouldn’t limiting TP transactions and increasing drop rates of top end goods more evenly distribute wealth? Sincere question as I am not an economist.
Per John
A dozen players with 10k gold wouldn’t even scrape one of those markets.
What upsets me the most about this whole thing is that Kiel has no credentials and no skills in the area to which she is being elected.
There’s no logic behind electing Kiel, and then they pull the “but Evon is evil” card. Name one thing he has actually done that is “evil”.
If you want Thaumnova thats fine, if not, then why are you voting against good content and a better candidate? Its ridiculous.Once again, I will give A-net credit where its due. You really gave us a true election.
Your wisdom knows no bounds. Kiel’s only claim to the seat is “family ties”. Evon has experience!
Vote Evon!
Southsun Survival. We’ve been waiting since BETA for Hunger Royale to come back, no way we’re gonna miss out on it because of a bunch of Kiel carebears!
Since Southsun Survival (Hunger Royale) will also be put into the rotation if Ellen Kiel wins, I suppose (by your reasoning) it’s acceptable to vote for her as well! A great day for Ellen Kiel supporters!
Only Evon will bring it back. Nice try though!
http://i.imgur.com/dlq02an.jpg Tell me more about how full of crap you are. Nice try though!
Your linked picture says Evon is the only one capable of creating a rotation of these mini games. Thanks for your Evon support!

Evon Gnashblade has a new campaign promise!

Evon says – Kuroneko is best girl!
While the Luxon and Kurzicks were defeated, there are still pockets of resistance hidden throughout the world. The sooner Anet releases the GW2 expansion, the sooner we can take on the emperor!
So even the TP PvP has trolls, huh?
PvP is still PvP, no matter the arena. If someone wants to undercut me, I’ll make him pay by waiting longer to sell his goods. I do this by flooding my Sell Orders with consistent 1 less copper prices for the next 10 or 15 posts. By then, the undercutter’s item will be so far down, they’re forced to relist, or just wait an extra day or two. Another way I do it is to overbid on Buy Order items in the same way. With multiple +1 copper bids, people who want the item right away are forced to match or beat my bids.
Use it to make money on the Trading Post. Then use the extra money to make even more money. It’s an endless upwards cycle of happiness!
Item drops get parsed the same way the chat box gets parsed. I don’t think you understand this. It’s not that hard of a concept to grasp. Let me put it in other words for you.
Any item that gets shown through the chat box is shown in the same way when looting.
So what you’re saying is that one person messed around with the chat box, then me and my guildies, on a different servers, were affected? So the Clovers in your bank should show my guild’s name on them. I fully understand now.
No, if someone in your map pings it in map chat, it will affect you. You might not have noticed it, you might have ignored it. You might not have even seen it at all (it might have been flooded out or just not seen). Regardless, it was in your chatbox at some point.
Then when I get home, I’ll have this tested. I can hardly believe that the same chinese text can show up for that item on different servers, for different people, at different times.
We get Southsun Survival in the mini-game rotation regardless of which candidate wins.
Lies. Evon promised us this first. Vote Evon!
I feel it is more that he is simply doing his job. It is not his job to worry about the larger picture. It is not his job to worry about whether or not a maximized “efficient” economy is in all actuality the “best” thing for the main goal of the game. Economies are a numbers game which doesn’t always go hand in hand with human nature. Kinda like asking a Priest about life. Sure they can tell you all you want to know about religion, but their insight on science will most likely leave you wanting.
He does his job well, too. When there’s a problem, he gets the Devs on a fix. When there’s panic due to rumor and false attribution, he shuts them down.
I esp. love it when real discussion about the economy (not mindless conspiracies) happen, and he takes the time to join in.

Jennah used confusion stacks on Logan. This was way before Anet nerfed it. It all makes sense now…
Catgirls? Evon already has my vote, so this is bonus for me!
T4 isn’t broken. It’s hard. If you can’t do it, then you’re one of the people who wasn’t meant to complete it.
I’m glad Anet made content that wasn’t supposed to be done by everyone. It shows that they care about all gamer types, not just the vocal minority who wants easy mode.
Its broken. Complete it (with video) of it by staying by the first mate (of either candidate) and then you can say its not broken. The people completing T3/4 are not even completing them the way they were/are supposed to.
There are different ways to complete this. If you just want it done, stay far back and prevent the Plunderers from stealing the treasure. If you want good loot drops, kill as many enemies as possible, while saving the treasure. One way is easier. The other is more challenging and rewarding.
Just because you can’t do it doesn’t mean it’s broken. It means it’s hard. I’m one of those who enjoy hard content, but will also get frustrated if I can’t win. It’s the OCD in me. Once I finished the Evon T4, I never attempted it on Kiel. I know my limits.
Unrelated:
At least part of the reason threads like this spawn and are so volatile is that many people seem to only want to prove they know a lot of jargon and very few things are explained at a level that someone who isn’t a graduate in economics could understand. Certainly this isn’t John Smith’s job – although he does seem to enjoy taking time out to belittle people in threads who counter his theories – but I’ve yet to see many people explain things this complex at a level that is accessible. And of course this isn’t going to stop everyone from countering or believing their own views, but it might help. (Of course, I’m assuming that anyone cares or wishes to help, which may itself be unrealistic.)When I originally wrote the explanation of what has happened before, I had intended it to be accessible (and at the time thought I accomplished that), but after re-reading it and your post I agree that I did not succeed.
I don’t see you as belittling people, so don’t worry about it. I love your snarky posts, as those whom you point them to deserve it. Each time you shut down a complainer or conspiracy theorist, it makes me want to buy Gems.
As the event ends next week, I’m just getting started on this event tonight. Any tips going in for the best way to get 2500 points and the headshots? I’m up for any method and have all weekend to play so hit me with some ideas.
The best way to get points is to attack as many players as possible, using arrows and traps, before the grace period is up. Then, once you can no longer respawn, get someone to kill you. As the first ghost, you’ll have access to a lot of Revenge Motes on the ground. Each one is worth 1 point. Make sure you trap players whenever you can, as each success racks up the points too. I’ve been first place in point totals a lot, and that’s mainly due to me being dead first.

If Evon is a good person, he will win. If Evon is evil, he still wins. So might as well vote Evon, because it guarantees Kiel lives!
Guild Wars 2 dragons = Logan and Jennah’s fault. I did my part in taking down Zhaitan. Logan just went along for the ride.
No, it’s a bug. Anet was preparing codes for the Chinese release, and some showed up in game for the votes. People can’t mess with the codes of items that you pick up (as shown on the right side of the screen).
Actually, they can. You know the codes to get color change text? Those are items.
Example, one of them is a Mystic Clover. If you link a real Mystic Clover, it will appear as
But that’s not the chat box in the picture. That’s the icons that appear when you pick up your loot. No player can alter that data, unless they hack into the game.
I r so mani haxxzzxzxzxxx. Clurli, I ken haxz in2 meinfrem detabess.
Note: Look at the name of the item in the popup dialog in all three pictures.
Do you know what side of the screen is RIGHT? Look closely at the OP’s picture, and try again.
You realize that once an item is changed clientside, it’s changed until the client refreshes the cache/that item, which involves logging out.
If I were to do the Mystic Clover recipe, it would show up as
Not chat box. Item drops. My server, esp. my guild, uses the colors of Legendary and Exotic items to spam guild recruit messages all the time. The icons with the chinese characters are from pickups from loot bags/chests.
I can also confirm that me and my guild has also gotten those item drops with the Chinese characters.. on different maps. So no, one single player cannot alter all item drops game wide. Otherwise, my Clovers (and yours) would all have my guild’s name constantly.
