Blah blah blah? Allow me to educate you as to why Evon will win.
1) BL Keys > Waypoint costs
2) Abbadon > than some silly nuclear plant
3) Evon’s business experience > Kiel’s taking credit for our hard work
The character is born as a hero who later becomes a member of an Order and gets promoted so that at the end he/she become a simple filler in a big army with some to no responsibilities at all who kills the huge dragon threat spamming skill No 1.
What do we do now? Living Story. So we dropped from The Hero of… to Mr. Nobody in 80 levels
This is a first in all my RPG games playing history.
Frodo went from Hero to Zero after the Ring of Power was destroyed. So what’s your point?
There was only one Dark Lord. There are bunches of Elder Dragons. And Frodo wouldn’t have a Ring of Power because in the Guild Wars universe Bilbo would have had to answer 100,000 riddles, collect 100,000 fish scales from Gollum’s garbage bin, complete the Balrog’s Bounce jumping puzzle in Moria, complete Sharky’s Shuffle in Isengard, learn the Misty Mountain Hop while blind-folded, dig 500,000 taters and 250,000 carrots and slaughter 100,000 rabbits for the Gift of Herbs and Stewed Rabbit, mine and refine 9,000,000 chunks of mithril silver, and then defeat the Risen Smaug to get the kitten thing and then it would be soulbound on use.
Or he could have just purchased it from the Gem Store, and then taken it to Mount Doom to destroy. Either way, after it was over, he’s left with nothing… that is until an expansion comes along, and a new Hero quest is made.
That is an automated message. Relax, and give them time to respond.
Turn your Laurels into Gold by converting Cores into Lodestones. Or buy lots of Dyes.
I will give half of my wealth to charity, if he just shows us his birth certificate to confirm his legality.
I’m sure he’ll show it, as soon as Kiel confirms the rumors around some naughty holographic videos found on the Arcane Council’s servers.
Evon’s gonna win, so it doesn’t matter.
We’ll see about that. >_>
My Gems and double votes shall meet you on the battlefield. May the best charr win!
Anet pays taxes on the transactions in Europe. The extra costs are, unfortunately, pass along to the European player base.
But the price differences shouldn’t be a surprise to you. There’s not a single thing that I know of where the price of goods changes with the value of the Euro, Pound, Yen, or any other non-US currency.

Europe has VAT. US doesn’t. Plus, the price for Gems is set, and doesn’t fluctuate with the value of the currency used.
FYI – the US dollar changes all the time too on the currency market
Why do total makeover kits not allow for a name change if you change from a male to a female?
I changed my ranger to be my first female character, and now she’s stuck with a pretty well known male name.
Name changes should be included when changing sexes.
Name Change Contracts are a separate item. You can purchase them from the Gem Store. Please be more careful when changing the gender of your character.
I wouldn’t consider it as bad if you got points over time. Like a point every 1-2 seconds or so for staying alive. It would encourage people to use more parts of the map that weren’t chock full of supplies, and you don’t get punished for not killing or camping a base.
This actually might be the first event achievement I’ll skip out on. I severely dislike the mini game, and grinding to 2,500 points is eye gouging. Even Aspect Arena achievements didn’t take as long.
So you want points for doing absolutely nothing? GG man. Points are rewarded to players who do stuff.
Skilled players already know how to use the entire map. I weaved my way through the Karka, and made it to the jumping stones JP in the north. I won simply because all the ghosts ganked the remaining survivors, while I just stood around eating my rations.
So exactly as the topic says. Got one as a drop, no idea what it does. Rare for some reason, and doesn’t say consumable.
Does Evon get one too?
Evon’s gonna win, so it doesn’t matter.

Don’t worry, you’ll be back in 2 weeks when they release more stuff you want.
Badges are easy to get. Just play more, and purchase the correct gear next time. Please be more careful in the future.
Anet normally doesn’t step in to assist players when they make errors like this. Only on certain circumstances will there be a refund or item switch, but that’s usually when it’s their fault (i.e. no confirmation button).

Wrong item type - Support cant do anything?

Sorry mate, Anet Support can’t hold your hand each time you make a mistake. It’s nice that they offered you a do-over with your first mistake, but those circumstances were different. As I recall, there wasn’t any confirmation option, thus a lot of people misclicked, and got the wrong gear.
Just as there’s a policy for account restorations limit of once, there’s no reason why they should make an exception for an incorrectly purchased in-game item. Please be more careful with your choices in game.
Streak Breaker Code would solve this problem… Just start mentioning it in any thread that Smith posts to… or any thread that Colin or Lindsey miiight read.
That basically means a guaranteed success at MFing a Precursor after X failed attempts. How is this a good idea?
You want the gear? Work for it..
This is a game, not work….
And thus you shouldn’t care that I get rewarded for enjoying my achievement quests. If this were work, I wouldn’t mind, since I enjoy every moment of it.
To sum up this thread: Stuff that I want should be cheaper, since I want it.
This is about the OP not being able to decide to play for fun, or play for money. But here’s something that many people already know: You can play for fun & money!
You want the gear? Work for it. You want to buy it faster? Purchase Gems, and convert to Gold. There are many ways to get what you want in this game. How do you think Legendary weapon holders got to where we are? We farmed monsters, and/or the market. It was our choice to make, so there’s no room for complaining.
Yes thanks for quoting yourself. I read the threads, and as I said it my email, I am not offering anything other than my experience with an infinitesimally small sample set which proves nothing except that the chance is not 100%. Heck, this is possible for one.
I also understand the technical reason why we tend to see good and bad “luck” in runs instead of a truly random distribution. Do you?
RNG can produce a 100% success rate with only 5 tries, or even 50 tries. I was just stating the odds of what we perceive to be a “common” drop, got lazy, and copy/pasta’d my post.
Spent actual money on these not even a scrap what a kittening money grab by Anet.
THE LEAST YOU COULD DO IS UPGRADE YOUR SERVERS
Stealing all of our money like this highway robbery practically.
It’s not stealing if you willingly offer it. Everyone knows full well that there’s no guarantees with the chests. So basically, you give up all rights to complain by clicking on the button.
The Royal Terrace will be a thing, but it’s not the thing you think it is.
A terrace fit for a particular Canthan emperor perhaps?
Evon!!!
I hear Kiel is responsible for all nerfs
@GW2WIKILEAKS
Colin should give you a week’s paid vacation for exposing this.
Trying to find out if there is some way I can get this issue resolved. I got a detailed email regarding my “ticket” demanding that I run tests and send in reports and I have spent hours waiting for emails that are not coming. This could have been handled in 20 minutes over the phone but arena net cannot be bothered by the people that pay their salaries?
Nothing worked the way you said it would, I am not sure that you even GOT the kitten reports, how will I know if anything is ever going to work again? No email no contact and two days later I am still hoping to get some kind of response? has no one ever gotten the error code 7:1000:7006:389 before? Do the people at Anet not know what their own error codes are?
I would suggest laying off the attitude. Tech Support can’t assist you with your problems without first understanding your computer’s specs (hardware, drivers, conflicting programs, etc.). Just as you don’t go to the doctor and say “I’m sick”, and expect him to instantly cure you without even knowing what the problem is.
Queen’s Journey.
Queen’s Journey… to CANTHA!!!
My furry charr approves of this thread. I’m still waiting for Faren Swimwear for charr and norn.
Because there are multiple posts about the same thing, I’ll just quote myself from the other threads:
RNG means Random Number Generator
The “Random” part of RNG does not mean Guaranteed.
And note – Black Lion Scraps are not the only things that the chest can spawn. So if you have 10 “common” items on the loot table, and say the chest may only give one or two “common” drops, you have a 10% or 20% chance of getting what you want. That’s not factoring in the “uncommon” and “rare” chances either.
It’s not worth it to do unless your character is lv 80. At that point, you open up the loot table for the best gear. And since it’s only once per account, do it on your main lv 80 first. Then you can go back and do it again for the basic chest drops.
Working as intended. I spend a lot more in Gems than what you put in, and I’ve failed a lot more than you. Yet I’m not complaining. Nothing is guaranteed, and I go in fully aware of that.
Do I get mad? Of course I do. But I’m mad that I didn’t get the item, not at the game or its mechanics.
5 keys to test it out.. Zero scraps. Common is definitely not 100%. It could be 90% of course, but just not in my case. I will leave my “test” at that
See below

People consider any achievement that can’t be maxed in a single day as hard.
But… but… Cantha!
I will continue to hold onto hopes for a Cantha expansion.
Repairing mean you die a lot. Fix that problem, and there’s no repair bill.
Items are worth the amount you are willing to pay for them. You seem to be willing to pay nothing. Simply don’t buy it.
He wants the item, but just not at my prices. This is such the enigma.
The reality is that the price of goods has nothing to due with supply and demand, or what people are willing to pay, but rather has everything to do with received value, marketing, and “trends.”
And right there is proof that you have no idea how markets work.
We all know Evon is a master negotiator. He’ll definitely win approval of the popular vote, and get a trade agreement with the Zephyrites. With these facts in mind, who else would be better to negotiate with NCSoft to bring back Cantha?
Evon Gnashblade of course!
Let’s send a clear message to Anet. It’s not about the BL Keys anymore. It’s not about the Abbadon Fractal anymore. It’s about a whole continent. Vote for Evon Gnashblade, and then send him to NCSoft to get us our most desired Cantha back.
#Evon4Cantha
Just a final quick note, I’m certainly not denying that at one point a Canthan district was planned and partially implemented. But the actual lore of the district that the game shipped doesn’t support it very well right now.
I think it’s great that you guys are fans of Cantha and I would personally like to see it in the game as well. But what you’ll be finding under that tent (very soon) is not Canthan.
Sad penguin is sad
J’m just making assumptions here, but if we did return to Cantha I suspect it would be a really big deal, way too big to fit under the even largest of tents, or even in an existing city at all.
Hopeful penguin is hopeful
So, I’m not going to spoil anything but I’d like to take this opportunity to remind you guys that according to game lore, there was never a Canthan district. If you’ve done your research, you’ll know that the great collapse was formally an arts district.
According to Ree it was a Canthan district…
Unless she was stating the design history and the lore history in the same sentence. I forgot where the interview was (I think it was a TowerTalk interview about humanity’s lore), but Ree explicitly stated that the collapse happened because of a rush in establishing the foundations, and in the same answer explained it was the Canthan district.
I actually have done my research – the Great Collapse’s story and Thaumanova’s story are two of my favorite aspects of GW2 lore. And there is evidence to say it was an Arts AND a Canthan district.
Aside from Ree’s statement, in the Order of Whispers personal story step Suspicious Activity you are able to ask Valenze and the others about the person you’re going to investigate, and she says:
“He was born and raised in the Canthan areas of Divinity’s Reach. He worked in the gladitorial arena until he was injured. "
So tell me – where was/is this “Canthan areas of Divinity’s Reach?” The gladiatorial area could only be the training grounds looking spots next to the Plaza of Balthazar (no other place fits a “gladiatorial area” description), which is right on the edge of The Great Collapse!
This is just like how the US Government covered up the existence of unicorns. They changed the history books in an epic cover up. I can only hope the Canthans rise from the rubble to rebuild the Cantha District.

Your tin foil hats need tuning because I’m hoping for Kiel.
But I have a vested interest because my team will probably be working on the fractals. I had nothing to do with this content though.
The Cutthroat Politics team tried to make it as even as possible.
But Anthony. Colin says to vote for Evon. Shouldn’t that be enough for all the Devs to follow? And besides, if you don’t need to work on the Abbadon Fractal, that means extra time off. That would be a well deserved treat for a team that works so hard year round.
The fact is this whole election became a joke the moment they allowed players to farm support tickets.
Say I wanted evon to win (im not interested in either winning) and I farmed for an hour and got 2 support tickets, but someone supporting kiel farmed for same time and got 4 support tickets,
This is rng..
No. My 2 tickets are equal to 4 votes, so then it would be a tie.
Because we all know players with big real world wallets hording tickets and listing these skins at ridiculous mark-ups is much more fair than just having a set gem store price for them that, given time, we could also get through normal gameplay (gold to gem conversion).
With the size of the player base, a significant amount of these weapon skins will be produced, thus making it impossible to monopolize. Supply and demand will dictate the prices.
And you can get gold through normal gameplay too, which you can use to purchase them off the TP. Not sure what your point is?
Currently on the trading post a Aetherized Rifle skin cost 69 gold. On the currency exchange 69 gold would be approximately 3500 gems, or (adjusted for the nearest gem bundle) $50.
Would you prefer I sold it to you for 30 Gold instead? Yes? No?
Well sorry mate, if you want it so badly (demand), you need to pay the prices we ask for. Unless another player who has the skin (supply) who would sell for less, you are at our mercy.
Note – the best way to bypass the sellers is to get your own. That requires you to have BL Keys, and the willingness to open chests.
But my vote counts as 2. How is that RNG based?
Everyone! Go to the Cantha District, I mean The Great Collapse! Something new showed up!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!! They’re bringing back the Cantha district!!!
Time to buy Gems to thank and support Anet!
Sorry, but this isn’t WoW.
It was just payday for me, so I’ll be able to buy a lot of Evon Gnashblade Support Bundles.

Yes I know it is in the tooltip.
If it’s in the tooltip… ???
Gaile, I’d prefer not to have additional buttons to confirm something if it’s already stated. If a player chooses not to pay attention, Anet should not have to hold their hands while playing. It would be like punishing the players who do pay attention and read.
