There are now 10 or more people on all the portals into Sparkfly portalling in and out desperately trying to get in the main server. (Actually it doesn’t work).

What sort of rubbish is this, didn’t anybody at Anet think this problem with overflows might happen.

Actually this does work. I have reliably gotten into main servers this way. Of course, you MUST start doing this immediately after the last Tequatl fight ended.

If anything needs to be fixed, it’s the amount of people who AFK at eastern turrets after the battle. They prevent active players from entering map and are an autofail for the event. Please for world boss maps, shorten the afk kick timer to 30 minutes instead of an hour. Or, a check in the 5 minutes right before Teq spawn to see if a player as moved before kick – it’s possible to do this for PvP, so I see no reason why the system can’t be implemented for PvE.

We shouldn’t need to do all this to get into open world events, and how do people stay afk for hours, I’ve watched them do it, after 1 hour afk I get kicked.

“obedient” not a good choice of wording there, yes you must be “obedient” and obey, remind me this is a game that should be fun ?

I’m not sad, I’m annoyed that ArenaNet didn’t take this problem into consideration, I’m also annoyed that they have said absolutely nothing about it, when they were all over the SAB forum like a rash.

Probably they are there and doing content between Teqs. The AFK ppl are way bigger problems tbh than overflows.

It takes time organize an attack though. Just with getting into main most probably you wont beat Teq itslef. Still a huge % of the randomly organized fights are fails. You will beat him far sooner if you search a guild dedicated for him. Be there in time. And use Join In function on your own server. Or just go to overflow with the guild.

Yesterday i joined to main at 6PM and did every fight until we beated him at 10-11PM.

Why should I need to join a specific guild and go through all that rubbish just to complete an open world event, as I said before I’m a bit of a loner.

I think we have a valid complaint here, this problem should have been considered before it was released.

Many many people are having this problem.

People are camping in main all day, how are they doing that, I get kicked after one hour of inactivity on an empty overflow.

But only for some people, I have never got out of overflow on my home server, I have guested on several other servers and rarely get out of overflow, when I do there’s not enough people to kill the thing.

I have spent the whole time since this content was released trying to get out of overflow.

Invulnerable, invulnerable, invulnerable…. obstructed, obstructed, obstructed…. get it all the time, usually just as I use barrage, so I get a screenfull of invulnerable, if it’s not that it’s immune or something like that.

Did I mention the rubbish pet ?

That is actually not completely true, and we are talking about invulnerable not immune, two different things.

Having failed to get into a main server event (Bar once, that failed anyway) since Tequatl was released, and still not having killed Tequatl , it no longer feels like work it feels like torture.

Issue is that most of the organized groups are moving it all to overflows that they take over. The main servers are not being used much anymore either. Went to SoR main last night and harldy anyone around.

Yeah right, that must explain why I can’t get into main on my home server or in any server I guest on.

I’m sure there could be the odd main that’s nearly empty, however have only got into a main ONCE ( And that wasn’t on my HOME server) I have yet to experience empty mains.

The only reliable way to get in main is to get in a party with someone already there and join them. If your server has voice comms, get on there and ask for an invite. You seem to get priority over the overflow queue this way. I’m on a very high pop server and could wait all day queued without getting in, but with a pull from a party I regularly get in on the first try.

I guess I’m a bit of a loner, and the one time I did accidentally get into main we did have TS and a couple of well organised guilds and lots of other people, but still failed.

(But being a bit of a loner, shouldn’t exclude me from open world content).

I’ve had it, I’m sick of overflow, I’ve been doing Tequatl since it was released 2-3 or sometimes 4 times a day and not succeeded in killing him.

Now I’ve had enough, I did get into a main once, JUST the once and that failed, and now it doesn’t look like I’m going to get out of rubbishy overflow and kill Tequatl before you release the next patch.

I’ve tried guesting to other servers and I’m STILL stuck in overflow.

Could it be something to do with SAB having real money items in the trading post…………………

There’s loot, really, haven’t got out of overflow yet.

All I know is I can never get into my home server to play the battle. I get in overflow every time. Players are camped in the zone for hours and never leave. I don’t know if the problem is guesting or just too many players wanting to do the content.

Same here and still not managed to kill teq.

Always in overflow with afkers and leechers.

Been doing it 2-4 times a day with no success, good job ArenaNet.

It’s a bit like Rangers should get increased damage with a bow (As it was in GW1) if they had a height advantage.

Now Rangers get penalized by having a height advantage by mobs going invulnerable while the Ranger gets his face ripped off.

Great stuff not.

And yes light armour should offer more mobility and certain advantages, but not in Anets books.

Rangers are so-so, pets are dead and useless………….

(I’m a Ranger by the way, and haven’t managed to kill Teq yet, can’t get out of poxy overflow).

I don’t think a commander title should be bought, it should be earned.

Try “Greenshot” it’s like “Screenshot” but better and called “Greenshot”.

You will have a (Dead) pet because that’s Anet’s vision of their Ranger.

To be honest I think a lot of Rangers will walk away as soon as something better comes along.

And there’s some very promising looking stuff coming up in the not to distant future.

Personally I only ever play a Ranger (I have one character, a Ranger since beta), I have a hate hate relationship with my pet, I really hate it.

We had the choice in GW1 I don’t see why they wouldn’t give us the choice in GW2.

The pet will never be fixed, the AI is terrible, mainly my “pet” is hobbling about twisted and bent.

And with the new “harder” content Anet are adding the pet is just worse than useless and a burden.

It say’s “Error attempting to sell”, an error, which I would call a bug.

It’s a pain, I could have 150 or so items I want to sell, I get the “So called” error every 2-3-4 items and I have to close and open the TP.

Yup just the once would do for me, been trying 2-3 times a day since release.

I’ve been doing it 2-3 times a day from the start, NEVER got into main yet ALWAYS in overflow.

And after all these countless posts of the issues going on with this event with overflows, guesting, afk, and displeasure in what has come from this event, we still have silence from Anet.
It would be nice to even have just one developer come in and make a statement about this, if there is something they have learned from it, and a fix is on the way.

It may be 40% of your damage, but it’s only 40% for 5% of the time, the other 95% it’s hobbling about twisted and dead.

I think most people will be forced to give up………………. I can’t even get out of overflow.

It’s getting to be the least fun I’ve ever had, not only have I been trying since the release date to kill Teq, but I have been stuck in overflow on my home server all that time, now it seems I’m stuck in overflow with nobody that speaks English.

Fastest I’ve seen my pet die after a pet swop, about 1.5 seconds………………….

And I hate seeing my pet hobbling around twisted and broken.

That’ll be a great help, with a pet that’s now dead for 98% of the time………………………

I whole heartily hope that logic wins the day and we get a perma-stow option. Given the vast majority of the Ranger are in the pet, we should be given the perma-stow option.

I don’t think that’s going to happen.

One thing, JUST one thing will make me quit GW2, the rubbish Ranger pet.

I can’t get away from overflow even in my home server, whatever time I go to sparkfly I’m stuck in crummy overflow.

People are just camping in the non-overflow servers forever.
