I wouldn’t go sli again I don’t think, many games don’t support sli.

You can force sli using nividia inspector, and I have quite old cards now GTX580’s, and I can get 100/120fps in GW2 sometimes, but usually around the 50/60 mark.

Fallout 4 is really good as well, sorta in the 70’s.

But I will probably replace my 580’s with a single 980ti, or whatever the best card is when I get around to it.

No need right now as everything runs just fine.

Well put, I agree with this view 100%. Introducing challenging content does not need to segregate the haves and have nots as shown over the last 3 years with the rest of the game. It’s a shame Anet implemented raids the way they did.

Raids aren’t designed for people who’re satisfied with the normal standards. Raids are for those who want to face the challenges. And those are the people who actually work to improve themselves, and their gears.

I don’t mind the waiting for meta events, I don’t mind when meta events fail.

And I know I have some more mastery points to get, I will probably end up short by about the same amount as you, and end up at a loss of what to do, and might never get them.

These “Adventures”, I hate them, I can’t do them, I hate my skill bars being messed with.

I have one gold in the “Drone Race” thingy, a silver and about 3 bronzes in other ones, others I completely abandoned in anger.

I find them very frustrating and they make me angry, and I want to skip them.

I guessing if I don’t do them I won’t get enough mastery point to complete my masteries, I have spent 42 points, 25 unspent points and totalling up what I need is another 45 points.

Is it possible to get those but not do anymore “Adventures” ?

I have done all the Mastery Strongboxes.

Also wondered why my “Mastery Rank” shows as 43 when I’ve only spent 42 points ?

It wasn’t GW2 it was something you downloaded, and it may not be gone.

Difficulty levels for raids.

Well I must say the thread has become more toxic after moving it into the “Fractals, Dungeons and Raids” forum.

Nobodies asking for a nerf here, just difficulty levels so that everybody, including casuals, can experience the raid content.

Why would ArenaNet want to exclude maybe 90% of it’s player base, do they want to drive people away, doing that won’t pay their wages.

That’s asking for the authenticator code. Were you using the google app for it? It’s not asking for the SMS code to be sent to you, it’s asking for the code from an app on your phone.

Yeah maybe, however it just sorted itself out.

We had some disconnects this morning from our ISP, maybe we got routed through a different Ip address and that triggered asking for the code.

Now the connections stable again, it’s not requesting a code.

If you want to unlink your mobile authenticator it asks for 2 codes, so where would you get 2 from ? Edit………. Ah I see you just wait for the second code.

Not been asked to authenticate my account for a very long time now, and this morning when I go to log in facepunch I’m asked for an authentication code that should be sent to my mobile.

Check mobile, nothing, try to log in again, no code. (Yes I have a good signal, no I haven’t changed my phone, supplier or number, yes I’m on the same PC).

Go to my account security, try to remove device, asked to enter code from my mobile, no code.

So I’m sort of stuck with this.

I guess this is going to be a support ticket !

Looking at your screenshot, your Gw2.dat file is too small.
It should be about 24.5GB

I can only assume you mean the Aetherblade Not So Secret JP for those diving goggles. It’s the only goggles I don’t have. Whoever decided blind jumping with high % of death and complete restart if you do die should be fired…

When doing these types of dives, locate the pool you’re supposed to land in first and stand in it. At your current position, add a marker to your minimap. Now go do the dive and aim for the marker. Optionally watch a video to learn the fall beforehand.

The raid isn’t hard it is just time consuming. It takes about 10 hours to really learn each boss. Once you learn the basic mechanics the bosses are actually fairly simple and the raid will only take you less than an hour to complete. It seems the casuals want to skip the learning part however and just go straight to the loot earning part. Which is not how raids work, nor should they ever work like that.

I don’t think people are worried about the time it take’s to learn the “Basic Mechanics” of raiding, or the learning curve.

I’m a casual, I don’t expect to be able to skip that part.

However a a “Casual” I just can’t get into a raid party at all, because I don’t “Conform” to the way these elitists want you to be.

That’s what bugs me, content in a game (Remember I paid the same price as you did) that I will forever be barred from experiencing.

Raids were poorly thought out, there should be difficulty levels, with relevant rewards, so that everybody can experience the game content they paid good money for.

What’s the good of buying a game when you are excluded from a big part of it.

i did not buy raiding game and i do not play raiding games….after i put over 2000 hours into this game and spent 500 euro on it..all of sudden the game becomes a traditional raiding game with sweet legendary armor is locked behind raiding wall just like raiding games where high end gear and special reward comes from raiding only.

When I log in, I have to stretch my inventory window so that I see all my stuff, it stays like that until I log out.

I hate those mini games with a passion. Some, I can’t even get bronze on. Most, I can barely get silver, and that after hours of (VERY unhealthy and tense) trying. But if I EVER want to even TRY those new legendaries, I need more mastery points. And guess where a gazillion of those are tied up?

You can configure SLI for GW2 in Nvidiainspector, I really don’t know if it makes a difference.

I have never had any memory problems.

I wouldn’t say “Hardcore” many aspects of the game are still very casual friendly.

There are some tough area’s and event’s, and some area’s that the casual player will be excluded from for ever (Raids), which is not really fair as we all paid the same price for the game, and we should all be able to experience all aspects of the content we paid for, regardless of how good or bad player we are.

Personally, I don’t like jumping puzzles, but I can persevere with them and get there eventually.

What I don’t like at all is the stupid mini-games, I hate them with a vengeance, I’m rubbish at them, and you are forced to do them because they are tied into mastery points.

If I wanted that sort of rubbish I would have bought “Super Mario Brothers ©” or whatever.

How do I check to know my GPU is running GW64 and not my CPU? Dont know why my it feels like my CPU is chugging lately. i7 4790k and gtx980.

Memory leak has been a big issue, but due to it I reboot fairly often. I can leak 15.9gig (of 16gig total) in 1-3 days. Sometimes I’ll have issues around 9/16gig but I’ve heard leaked memory doesn’t always show on Task Manager>Performance.

Why would you even worry about that, your operating system will take care of all that.

I want challenging content involving my using my class specific skillbar. Not content where ANET denies me that choice and forces a build upon me.
