I tend to run PVT gear in WvW and Zerk in PvE. You can get a full set of cheap gear from the vendor in wvw that can be bought with badges if you have enough. The TP is also a good place to look for cheap gear. That said, you’re play style is going to dictate what gear you want to be in. I like the PVT for added survivability and it helps for flipping camps while I’m roaming. For weapons in WvW I’m currently running GS + s/t (sword has a handy dandy teleport on it) and I’ll swap GS to Staff while I run from objective to objective for the swiftness. My build is focused around burning.

If I’m not mistaken you have to be in a match before you trip he mission. That’s the only way I’ve been able to get credit. So queue → load into map → trip mission → carry on like normal.

Don’t think the Foundation Stones are part of the explorer achiv (they weren’t when I did it, just had to find Sector Zuhl, Tail of the Serpent, & Lair of the Coil) but you can find them South of Foundation 86 Waypoint — [&BE4CAAA=] in the NE corner of the map (there’s an order of whispers camp)

Make sure you are repping the guild that you want to run the mission in. Then head to the guild mission panel and see if you have a guild puzzle available in your mission selections.

If you have it you will only be able to do that mission. Click the activate button and head to where you need to go. Once there you should be able to talk to the flag and get a box with a drop down menu. Select your guild from that list and then enter the instance.

Not sure what you need them for but they are commonly known as the “fish heads” and they are easy to find by [Splintered Coast] Waypoint on a failed Tequatl map as others have said.

They can also be found in Orr (cursed shore) and as part of your personal story (a grisly shipment). You can kill them by dodging through them.

Ya the 2 major achivo’s that players are always looking for at my runs are Whirlpools and Tail Flail

To really profit from Silverwastes you need to be smart about what you do with all the loot you gain. Anything that’s yellow, I sell on the TP. Blues & greens I will salvage and then sell the mats. With everyone needing the base mats for guild hall upgrades, ascended armor etc you can turn a pretty quick profit and get a fair amount of gold, especially if it is a mat that is needed for scribing.

A few other ways I gain gold are:

• Laurels → sell to the vendor to buy crafting bags and then turn around and sell the mats on the TP. You can also buy dyes and sell them. Anyone one working on scribing needs them to progress.
• Guild Missions – Running everything your guild has available is a nice way to get some extra cash & mats.
• Guild Commendations – Buy up Sentinels Inscriptions or Gossamer and keep an eye on the TP, usually these go for a decent price.
• PvP – The reward tracks are stupid good for making money. Not only do you get coin for playing matches you get tonnes of stuff for salvage out of the reward tracks.
• World boss trains – again by selling yellows/oranges on the TP and salvaging blues/greens for mats plus the coin you get from the big reward chest.

And does ‘right’ mean ‘right as you look at him from the front’ or’ his right’? Anyone know which foot he was referring to?

I’ve watched a couple of YouTube videos but they both were obviously made before the zerg DPS rate was as high as it is now.

It’s his foot (left foot if you are facing him) on the south/east side of the map — the one the zerg always pummels at the start of the fight. Generally you get them spawning at his feet or just behind the zerg on the island where the fingers pop up.

The issue is that the zerg generally puts out so much dps that they push the phase so Teq never gets a chance to spawn them. The only time I ever seem them is if I’m leading an event and specifically tell people we are gunning for whirlpools for the achivo. As we near the 75% mark on his heath I’ll get my zerg to back off and let the pools pawn.

Generally you will only get this 1 chance to get the achivo cause once the battery phases are done the dps happens so fast we just chain the phases together.

Far as I know there is no way outside of asking your friends if they have the item or not.

There has to be an issue with the launcher, I’m only able to pull 2 kb/sec. Tested on ps4 and it’s not an issue on my end.

For those interested, I’ll be attempting to get an organized map going at 10pm PST for anyone interested. Watch the LFG for GSCH/SORC Taxi. Anyone who is experience in leading a lane will get extra hugs and cookies for their efforts

It’s an RNG drop so you ’ll just have to keep killing the golem until you get the leggings. I think it took me 5 tries before mine dropped.

I have it and I do get motion sick on occasion from games. Things I use to help mitigate it are:
- Turn off camera shake <- this is the main trigger for any motion sickness I get in game
- Lower mouse sensitivity
- Max out the FoV/VO sliders
-Sit as far back from the monitor as is reasonable

You must complete the Torn from Sky story instance and enter Verdant Brink before you are able to use masteries in either HoT or Core Tyria. Once that’s done you will get access to the mastery system.

As Red Queen has said use LFG. try and join on one that has a % in it’s name or one that specifically says ‘Events’. If there isn’t one try and get on e a semi empty map and put up an LFG stating ‘SW Events’. Anytime I’ve done that I’ve had people taxi in faster than I can get the taxis up.

Keep in mind things might be a little slow until Halloween is over. Lots of reg SW runners are farming Ascent and Lab right now.

Give MediaCafe Popeye a try. They have 4-5 little cafes spread out around Umeda (right by the train station) and Namba and was my go to when I was traveling in Japan for 2 months. Usually if GW2 isn’t on the pc you can install it without issue.

Bagus Gran Cyber Cafe & Manboo Internet Comic Cafe are also decent places to try.

Look at your dat file. From the HoT faq we know that with the Expac it should be around 35GB. That should give you a solid idea of how much you will have left to download once expac goes live

Would like to point out Mega Lazer was broken for ages before it got fixed. Teq was still very much on farm mode without lazer damage.

If I’m not mistaken one of the blog posts mentioned that they didn’t want to devalue cities so I highly doubt there will be any services like crafting/tp etc in the guild hall. You’ll still have to do all that in the open world.

From my understanding WvW armor can be salvaged to get you runes back as well as a few badges. I don’t think you can get mats from it.

For cool places to see:

• Garden of Dawn – North by the waterfall on the lower level of the Grove. Dive into the pool and swim under the wall
• Anya Fairmind’s Strawberry Patch – Southwest of the town of Nolan (Diessa Plateau) in with all the gears. Listen to the char cubs. You need to run through a broken pipe.
• Chaos Crystal Cavern – Iron Marches jumping puzzle
• Hidden Garden – Mount Maelstrom jumping puzzle
• Cat room – Borderlands jumping puzzle (wvw)
• Any of the mini dungeons

Afaik the only way to get them is by purchasing the Heroic Edition. Once upon a time ago they used to be in the gem store but since they’ve been bundled as a selling point of the heroic edition I think you are out of luck.

I will say it sort of doesn’t matter in any way. I cant tell what class someone is just by looking at them…at least purely visual. I mean my necro charr is running around in a heavy armor outfit right now.

Mordrem are launching invasions in Brisban, Kessex, & Desa and the idea is that players need to band together in these zones and stop as many of the invasions as they can. As you progress through each invasion mob you will notice that you start stacking a map specific buff (don’t leave the map till invasion is over or you will loose your buff). The higher the buff, the more blooms you get at the end of the invasion.

Invasions last for 30 min and then there is a 30min cool down before they start again. So half past the hour is when things kick off if I’m not mistaken. Watch you UI under the compass for a message that Mordrem are attacking and head to one of the maps.

Bloom rewards depend entirely on how high you can get the buff stacked and rewards (things from past events or past TP exclusives you can’t get anywhere else) are pretty nice imo, though be warned they do cost gold.

World boss runs are how I get all mine. I salvage everything except the rares (TP those for gold) and that will generally give me a lot of silk to work with. Not sure if it’s the best way but it’s one way.

Afaik you can only use your glider in the new maps, therefore gliding shouldn’t be possible in Silverwastes.

I love it and hop in quite often. Still lots of people playing, especially in pvp. Kamadan and LA have the most people milling about, same with embark beach.

Its just random. Lots have been playing almost 3 yrs now and haven’t got a precursor. It’s just luck of the draw. Heck I’ve been doing Teq 7 days a week for 2 yrs and still have not got a teq hoard =p Just the luck of the draw sadly

Try using the -repair tag on your bookmark.

It sounds like you might have a damaged file/s in the gw2.dat.

You may also be running out of RAM if it only ever happens in very large scale fights.

I ran the GW2 repair and it didn’t work, I reinstalled the whole game and that didn’t work either. I have 16GB ram on a 64bit OS system on a decent computer, but I get 5.6MB OOM (out of memory) error, which makes no sense. Only had this happen in Teq, but it is always on a full map (i.e. the mostly likely time Teq will succeed).

Usually if you get OOM error it means you ran out of virtual memory, or at least that has been my experience. Currently I run on high settings with character model limit & quality turned to low and I can get around 25-30 fps in the middle of the zerg.

Usually they come back in October for a set period of time so keep an eye out around Halloween

The option for getting it that I know of is by buying online and you’ll just have to accept that you are going to have to eat the $30ish dollars due to exchange rate. I checked a few EB’s in Sask and they had no idea what i was talking about.

First Off: TTS is in no way affiliated with GSCH/SORC and I’d appreciate if you leave them out of this convo. Not once have I ever run this event as part of TTS. It took over Wild Wed and Mon Madness which were never a double spawn.

Second: Teq isn’t broken, but when half the zerg is doing their own thing and the other half is doing what Kenage and I have asked of course we’re going to fail. Not to mention the lack of wpt and run back <<. If you want to criticize the way I lead knock yourself out or just don’t come to the 2 for 1 event. It’’s not hard. I have reasons why I don’t have my team stay on the crit spot after Teq comes out of stun phase and I’ve explained it in chat numerous times. Both runs (we’re 2/4 btw) we failed had 90% of the zerg dead on Teq’s first stomp after the stun phase. To mitigate it we pull people to the foot. That fail on Wed, if the zerg would have restacked on Kenage, would have finished with 3 minutes left…. A win is still a win even if it has 0:01 secs left on the clock. I’m not trying to set records with my event. If we get the same results but with a slower time who cares. Why is everyone getting so bent out of shape over this?

If you don’t like the way I lead that’s fine. But leave GSCH/SORC out of it. At the end of the day you have the choice to come to the event or not. But if you do all I ask is that you work with me rather than against me….
