Condis & Bunks Have Ruined Small Group Play

Condi builds need more toughness+vitality because it is damage over time, thus they actually do need to invest in more then two stats. If you are a zerker and are complaining about condi being op cuz you cant dps him down then thats your problem.

Another problem is that condi cleanses dont work over time like condi application does.

I would want something along the lines of war onlines marauder, whom had various auras which could harm enemies or benefit allies. So it is a mix of a necros debuffs, guards buffs, and d/d eles pbaoe.

I think they should require an even time frame into all of the game modes. It would promote diverse play which cuts down on burnout, farming, and elitism. This way no one group of players feels left out (pve, wvw, pvp).

Necromancer vs Berserker Stance

Typically a warrior will use zerk stance before they go into their burst. I throw on as much soft cc as I can beforehand, transfer any of their soft cc, dodge an earthshaker or whatever, and pop spectral walk.
Also like Lopez said spectral armor+locust swarm if you use warhorn and/or deathshroud is pretty much an invuln.

Ive been using axe in lieu of staff and always will. Sucks that the aa is bad but I substitute lifeblast for that point in time when ranged pressure is all thats left to do.

Its not even the cele amulet, rabid condi engis are extremely hard to kill and can in a lot of cases easily 2 or 3v1. Its always been the case. I guess you could say this of any well played class, but it seems to be more so with engi.

Everybody says it’s not the amulet it’s the might stacking blabla.
Well what can you do? Change the way classes stack might? Change skill functions? It’s crazy!
Just fix the kitten celestial already! Yes might stacking allows it to function as good as it does but the real issue is the sustain it allows.

All that has to be done is to nerf sigil of battle and strength. That is the main reason why cele is so good. The sustain is not the real issue, without it there would be no reason to use the amulet.
Well why should might stacking be nerfed for all of us? Getting to 25 might stacks in pvp should be hard and require coordination. If anyone can get that much might easily then that should be seen as the problem that it is.
If the cele amulet is nerfed again then all the classes that benefit the most from it will suffer, causing disenfranchisement which isnt good for the game.

Maybe some vanity items like tonics for minor rewards that can be used while sitting around in the heart of the mists. Maybe some other random things in pve like those quaggan color changer tonics that no one that pvp-only has ever heard about.

I remember with the old system that along with bags, there were a lot of mystic forge things for all the pvp skins. Maybe some useful mystic forge stuffs, like some crystals, mystic coins, elonian wine, with maybe an eldritch scroll at the end?

So with this new sigil, I’m wondering which is better? I’m changing my wvw powermancer build and I would love some input. Its the classic deathshroud pewpew111 setup.
Are the two sigils better in different cases? What would have to be my total power in order to fully make use of the cruelty sigil? Say my power is 2700, what would be optimal ferocity?

If we get nerfed, I could see our dagger skills taking a hit in damage more than anything else given the “cleaving” buff and the fact it’s a Blood Magic weapon (as in dagger traits are BM traits).

Nightmare runes for us may get nerfed by tying its proc cooldown with that of Reaper’s Protection.

As for buffing Blood Magic properly, I could see siphons going party-wide with Bloodthirst reworked to be a vampiric “Spotter” with a trait tier change:

Bloodthirst
Nearby allies siphon health when they hit a foe. In addition, your siphon effects are 20% more effective.
Range: 360
Targets: 5

Could also stand to see Renewing Blast moved to Blood Magic and Unholy Martyr moved to Soul Reaping with the added effect of turning Life Blast into Plague Blast.

Who knows, with all I’m “seeing”, I may just be looking through rose-tinted glasses

withering precision – add 33% chance on crit
unholy sanctuary – 3sec of prot. sounds amazing
necromantic corruption – not 25 might to 25 torment i hope
full of life – im really glad you suggested this, because it reminded me that necros need reasons for going into blood magic (any at all). i would suggest this being a 10% vitality to power sorta thing.
quickening thirst – 33% chance on crit to gain 1sec of superspeed (cd 3 sec)
near to death – switch places with strength of undeath (SoU now gives you + toughness while under 50% life force and hp)

disclaimer – i appreciate you taking the time to post all this, these are my ideas that were possible due to yours, im not trying to ruin your parade or anything like that.

one thing i dont want leaps to do is connect on me when i teleport behind the target. kitten thats annoying. warrior hits eviscerate, i use my spectral recall and he does a complete 180 and lands it. thats kittened.

im all for having rangers stronger and their spot in the light and all that, but its really lame right now. in pvp some random can run up and gun you down with 2 skills, massing around 10k damage in a couple seconds. the real culprit is #4, it needs either a longer cooldown or a more obvious telegraph. at 1500 range against an asura its impossible to see it coming.

most of the time it will hit for 2-3k on a heavy at the beginning of the fight, he must have had might and vuln.
if youve ever played a zerk necro then you would realize that they will die almost immediately when skilfully focused because they have no mobility or sustain. take away life blast damage and theres no point. a lot of necros would quit.

lorndarken brings up a good point. Condition duration will be a lot more beneficial for a condi based spec, but power can make some use of it through control conditions.

Bhawb I believe the amulet you are looking for is called Settlers.

Power: Prioritize power and toughness, then vitality and healing power, then crit damage+chance

Condi: Prioritize condi damage and toughess, then condi duration and healing power, then vitality and precision

This wouldn’t work, they need to rethink the on enter and on exit DS skills to not be balanced around you spamming them for maximum uptime. They should simply give this trait an internal cooldown and then give a much longer duration. If you could get 8 seconds of stability every 45 seconds, or give 4 seconds of aoe stability every 30 seconds, suddenly this becomes a really good trait. At the same time it would balance the class and allow us to actually use our class mechanic while also getting stability.

Why cant people get the picture?
Of course condition builds only need 1 stat to improve on. Why would anyone play them if they required 3, so they are glassy and take a lot longer (cleanses not included) to deal sufficient damage? They would be useless.
