Never take a screenshot while your character is laughing…
wow thats gotta be the funniest screenie ive seen so far on forums.
awesome. poor dolyak!
Why dont we just remove conditions completely, then the zerk only people will be happy. Then all the warriors, thieves and mesmers can kitten eachother off while Im happy playing another game.
Perplexity. No.
I think as part of the daily there should be a “teach a newb” task: worth 5 achieve points, 2 below level req people must start and finish with 3 above level reqs who receive a lil more crystalline dust. I mean cmon, who doesnt want more dust.
‘Dungeon ownership’ in the first place is nonsensical. The instance should persist until the last person leaves the dungeon.
Instances of hosts ragequitting, hosts who have to leave (sure, YOU wouldn’t do that, but SOMEONE might, and they might be the host), hosts who leave party after looting the chest at the end of a dungeon before others take the chest, etc etc etc.
The whole ‘ownership’ mechanic is broken.
+1
-remove sigil stacks
-make the lord a lot harder to kill
-balance unranked games based on an accumulated kill death ratio, damage absorbed/ mitigated, objective points captured
-improve the in match leader boards to actually show statistics
-limit how many stacks of conditions and their durations can be on one player at one time
-remake condition cleansing skills so that they remove stack(s) per tic or limit duration based on the condition
-rework the total amount of stunlocking that can affect one player over an amount of time (or give stability to the classes that need it)
-make extreme damage skills more costly
-replace worthless traits with useful traits
-remove death by falling damage so that the player respawns instantly with no penalty
-nerf the damage by trebs/ cannons/ skyhammer
-give pets and minions AI
-do not allow more than 2 professions per team
-maps made for 1v1, as well as for new game modes

Every time i play WvW:
I see my guilds elected chief power thief 3 shot people
I will throw down every necro condition skill I have accessible only to see it power cleansed by shouts
Get spiked by 15 earthshaker warriors
Now I know this isn’t the WvW forums and people will probably call me out on that, but if you change the way conditions work in PvP too much it will only create a larger gap in between the two. There are people that wouldn’t mind I’m sure, but that sounds like bad business to me.
The two things I would change with conditions is to have a maximum duration allowed per condition. I’m tired of getting 30+ seconds of burning and poison, not to mention the kittening immobilize stacking now. The second is to have cleansing skills that COMPLETELY remove a condition to be reworked so that they remove a couple stacks or durations per tic, depending on the condition. I think this would drastically level the playing field for all specs, because what some people stated for solutions makes me think that the rabid/carrion players would be completely useless.
1) One of your active symbols is teleported to your location every (x) seconds.
2) You may summon an active consecration to your location every (x) seconds.
3) You activate Sanctuary at 50% health. Sanctuary’s recharge is halved.
4) All virtues recharge 30% faster. Party members affected by a virtue gain a random boon.
5) Virtue of Courage activates every (x) seconds for all party members.
6) Attacks cannot pierce or cleave you. Every time such an attack hits you, a random boon on all party members is increased by (x).
Too overpowered? Have something to add? What say you.

So I am always trying to check the timers on my food, and its kinda hard when I have 78342374 guild fortification buffs and 623523263 banner buffs all in my face. When this happens, my minimap gets in the way. It would be really, appreciated, if there was a small pop up from which I could see the guild buffs and another for banner buffs.
Please, thank you, cherry on top.
Cheers.
all i hear are kids crying and saying “wehhh there are these new things called condition builds now that are starting to overcome my power builds weehhhhh”
dont get boon duration gear, ever. the loss of that extra stat will put you at a huge disadvantage in every situation.
2 superior runes of the monk/water/traveler(45%)+ 30 in virtues+ 20% food = 95% boon duration. you could use doubloons for that extra 5% but 95% is already overkill.
the only time i see a use for boon durations is in wvw to support the group.
(edited by Stand The Wall.6987)
it did get buffed. read the patch notes.
as for the cone effect, it sounds like you want a new skill altogether.
Prepare yourselves for the rainbow golem rush!
this build looks really interesting, ive been wanting to try a rampager setup for quite a while. although ive played my necro for a long time now i havent used warhorn. first time for everything i guess. thanks for sharing, looks like some fun to be had.
conditions are not liked in dungeons, because is doesnt make any sense to take 3min instead of 1min to kill a boss. all lfg groups you get will want you to be zerk, unless you join a guild that likes to do dungeons with no exploits. its not too hard to get 2 sets of armor plus it will make your necro experience alot more enjoyable. check the top of this forum for builds.
5 pt: shrouded removal
15 pt: gain 400 toughness in DS. helps non mm builds, mm builds get some help when minions are down.
necros do not need more access to protection. with +30% prot duration and spectral mastery one can gain 31.5 seconds of prot. add weakness on top of that, plus awesome cc, its a wonder why you guys are asking for this.
I use superior runes of hoelbrak on my power necro, it has all the might bonuses but the 6th bonus has a -20 condi duration which is awesome to stack with food.
i think blood is power isnt really a good choice, its nice to have extra damage, but in my opinion its nothing compared to corrosive poison cloud. even though youre not using a condi build, if you throw this where your team is taking the most damage they will most likely survive. weakness is by far the best condition in wvw, and to have it be reapplied with every pulse, well i couldnt ask for more. best used on the backline where the heavy hitting eles are, and you can always tell when an ele stops to cast meteor shower.
We can already do naval combat. You know that little boat in Bay? :P
We’re ready for you. Let’s do this!
best post of the day.
its all because the toxics kill supply yaks and anet wont do anything to fix it. another sign that pvp is favored over wvw.
I find it hard to believe that you can protect your yaks against people, if you can’t even protect them against toxics.
i personally dont protect yaks, but thats not the point either, now is it.
its all because the toxics kill supply yaks and anet wont do anything to fix it. another sign that pvp is favored over wvw.
some desire a GvG type format, others dont realize how awesome GvG is. those are the only 2 sides in my opinion.
when anet realizes that their hopes for esport recognition lies in GvG, then maybe. just maybe.
i have 81% crit damage and 2580 armor with food.
you need more armor if you want to run with the big groups.
if these can be “evaded”, then sure why not….
people still use range in this game?
we need another warrior, honestly. one with even more zerk hb condi cleansing earthshaker stunlock cc roflstomps.
I WISH PPL WOULD GET OVER WOW ITS A kitten GAME
Mounts are already in Guild Wars 2 example of these are brooms. I would say airships in Guild Wars 2 are flying mounts.
@Stand The Wall.6987 Player Housing and Guild Halls are somethings that we look forward to. They will definitely come to Guild Wars 2 as Colin Johanson said on PAX, they are being developed.
I welcome guild halls but housing is the ultimate no lifing experience. Its so kittening pointless.
Its a minor thing that goes a long way.
No.
This isnt WoW, this is GW.
Use your kittening feet.
You will probably ask for housing next right?
Why would you want to eliminate one of the only good gold making schemes?
So you’re saying I should just stick to farming dungeons instead?
You think this has a negative impact of the ingame market?
To be honest, this post shares something with gay haters or racists simply because you think its ruining the gameplay for you when in reality it has nothing to do with you and you can actually turn map chat OFF.
The fact of the matter is that the PvE is really easy, some like this some dont.
not enough people would have the gold to buy t4 and t5 to make the effort worth it for anet imo.
I had high hopes for WvW, and that has been pretty crushed. If its not player vs door, its getting run over by a 50 man zerg, or when youre running to catch up with your teammates some 5 man vulture team will pick you off, immobilize stacking, orbs/ sigil stacks, siege monkeys, no real way to tank or heal (missing the holy trinity)…
The PvE content is an absolute joke. Everything is super easy because the AI is non existant.
PvP I dont really have an interest in anymore. It was fun for a while but it lost its appeal when I started to get into WvW. Anet wants the game to be an eSport so badly I feel other aspects of the game arent getting much attention.
The biggest problem I have is the trait system and number of skills. Anyone who has played GW1 knows what I’m talking about. The trait system is one dimensional and shallow, being able to go deep into skill trees and creating new builds is the main appeal I have for mmos. The number of skills available to each profession is a joke.
As various other people have said the cap on crit chance is 100% (because higher than that would be impossible) but in practice that still doesn’t mean every single attack you do will crit because there are other things that come into play, like Weakness and attacking objects where you can’t crit.
I’m not sure about crit damage though.
A warrior caps crit damage at 147% with food, banner, axe trait, and all ascended.
I hope this game gets accepted into eSports already so the WvW community will not keep getting cover up content and start getting meaningful and game altering updates. The main reason I bought this game was for the WvW, now I’m looking at other games that have their kitten together.

I have been using this build for a while, it works well and is enjoyable. I build up life force with axe 2 focus 4, use my 2 utilities then go into DS for autoattack. Switch over to dagger for spam then build up life force again with axe+focus. Rinse repeat.
a while back when i was standing around in la someone pinged a polearm.
I enjoyed fighting icU in Global Agenda, even though I am NA. I was in The Pod then joined the System32 hack force.
#completelyunrelatedgtfo
Due to the extreme skill needed to play Global Agenda, and the fact that icU is a part of it, I would recommend this guild. Multi gaming communities have a lot of wisdom to draw from, so for anyone who is hesitant or turned off to WvW, give them a chance.
Good luck icU, and tell sinatik to keep the GA vids coming!

So I found this short video when I was looking around on my home worlds forums. Pretty straightforward concept, I think it is worth the time to watch.
http://youtu.be/qHcO6Xo8eJ8
Well I guess I will throw in my 2 cents here and see where it lands.
>>>Idea: outnumbered objective defenders buff.
The idea came to me when I thought about what the core of the problem is. To me that is the server with the biggest zerg per map actively engaged in taking objectives. As of now, taking objectives is a piece of cake when you have 50 people behind you and little to no resistance. This could change.
What is an objective and how can we change it?
Example: supply camp outlined by border, x number of guards at level x with x number of abilities. So here comes the 50 person zerg, guards are burned in seconds, now the timer counts down and soon the zerg is on its way.
So what is the solution?
After the timer tics to zero, the supply camp goes into phase 2 using its border as reference. The total number of enemy players vs friendly players is continually tallied, as is the siege of both sides. This tally will determine the power of the defenders buff. The defenders buff will spawn new guards, as well as give the overwhelmed player defenders increased survivability. These guards have vastly increased toughness, power, AI (one can hope), and even new skills. For supply camps, I think it would be great to see the guards have priority on resurrecting players, and give them abilities to accomplish this task. Guards are invulnerable to sources of damage outside of the supply camp border, and these guards lose aggro when going outside of the supply camp border. Friendly players inside the objective also have increased toughness, but not power, and are vulnerable to outside sources of damage. It might be considered that these players gain x number of stacks of defiant, to prevent enemies from simply using a pulling type skill to get them outside of the objective. Perhaps when (5-10) stacks of defiant runs out, it is refreshed after a set amount of time. This phase 2 is reset after a set amount of time.
What does this mean for towers and keeps?
The basic principle would remain the same. When (80%) of the opposing force is inside the lords room border, the objective resets into phase 2. Now, the opposing force must recapture key points inside the objective. For towers, this would be the courtyard area where the supplies are, walls, (2nd supply depot like Cragtop) and finally the lords room again. For keeps, 50% of the gates, walls, courtyards, inner walls, inner courtyards, and then the grand prize of the lords room. I believe the 50% will encourage cooperation between players while making it a challenging and rewarding experience. Instead of guards having increased resurrection capabilities, it might make more sense for the defending players to simply waypoint to the lords room when dead. This would give the opposing side momentum, and the chance for the defenders to regroup and restrategize. I believe it would be wise to leave the guards with the outside source damage immunity buff, as it would punish large groups and at the same time drive them forward.
Alright, I think that about sums it up. I know there are several holes in this idea, as well as flat out opposition. If you have constructive criticism, great. Anything that will fine tune this idea is appreciated. Do not agree with anything I have posted? Thats fine, lets create and eliminate ways to fix this state which we find ourselves in.
(edited by Stand The Wall.6987)
As an idea about how to go about this hows this for an idea.
New ability: Hunker
Cost: 50% endurance (1 dodge)
Effects: Creates a 70 radius zone centered on the caster. While the caster remains in this zone enemies can not pass through the zone. Duration 5 seconds or untill caster leaves the area. Does not block projectiles. Can not be bypassed with stability.
Sanctuary sounds a lot like this, the guardians utility skill. Currently can be bypassed with stability, but maybe this will change in an update.
If conditionmancers had easy access to this, it would be kinda lame. Lots of kites, weakness, protection, now vigor. GG game.
Obviously Anet would have to make it so vigor is hard to get to for the condition people. Spite tree is all about Dhuumfire, obviously not Curses, Death Magic is crap, Bloodmagic is crap, so there is only Soul Reaping left.
I think the best way to implement this would be to rework Strength of Undeath. Keep the damage boost above 90% life force, and add vigor below 10% LF. Most every power user uses deathshroud for damage, so the damage boost isnt really used much. There are plenty of times, however, that one finds themselves in a low life force situation. Not that it isnt easy to get that back with axe 2, dagger 1, and focus 4, but it would be hard to stay at 10% Lf though for the sake of vigor.
Thoughts, ideas, criticisms? What say you.
+1 to scythe.
as long as the gs autoattack applies aoe confusion, ill be happy. oh and boon removal.
everyone keeps saying, oh just use scepter 3, or deathshroud them to below 90%. ok, now our only direct damage skills are on a 10sec cooldown, giving the ele a 10sec window to regen and spike us. oh, eles have such a low health pool obviously it wouldnt be hard. are you idiots aware of how much regen capacity an ele has? i know you do. thats because youre ele mains who want necro to go back to being an autokill class. eles already have the highest condition removal in the game after warrior, now they get flat out immunity, possibly trumping the warrior. this gm trait is kittening kittened.
every condition build is on trouble.
(edited by Stand The Wall.6987)
I heard this build is really strong and has some great potential.
Interestingly enough, that trait spread may or may not be similar to a wvw build I run sometimes…
the grind can be a bit much, but you could always join a guild that does dungeons without stacking. even ask people you meet in lfg if they would want to do dungeons the normal way sometime.
The fact of the matter is that Borlis Pass as a whole will only zerg up for a couple commanders, and when theyre not online, well go figure. We have too many small teams that prefer GvG style play to ZvZ. Thats how I like it anyways, and most on BP would agree. You have some killer guilds that field alot of people FA, and BP has killer guilds that field fewer people. Most of the time our militia will be large and not give a thought to joining our TS channel to organize, even when we have people constantly shouting it in /say and /map. When you guys outnumber us 2 or even 3 to one, yes of course people will sit in garrison and treb.
Anyways, have fun and use protection. The boon. Cmon now.
R.I.P necromancer.
Guess I’ll stick to my 140% crit damage warrior in dungeons and forget everything else about this game.
Oh and about warrior, isnt it funny how if you miss with a burst skill and swap weapons there is no cooldown?
Necro + ranger definitely drew the short sticks in this game.
This blows. Removing bleed stacks from anything severely cripples a necros ability to be a viable class in PvP. What should happen is to reduce the durations of poison, cripple, and weakness across the board and a slight nerf to Signet of Spite. The cooldown of Weakening Shroud shouldnt be messed with.
If only the higher-ups in Anet would stop having such a raging kitten for power builds.
Whats with all this whining about Dhuumfire? It finally gave necros the edge to stand up against the heavy hitting power builds. Why the hell should it be removed? Or are you not a necro main and some dagger spammer thief who wants an autokill class like ranger?
