Its an extremely bad idea.
Its an awesome trait, no nothing needed.
Staff is a horrible small scale battle weapon for powermancers.
You guys should think about getting 20k hp. Without a lot of hp regen low hp is not a good idea.
Good.

Oh well it wont get nerfed again this is the best we get. The active is actually getting a buff so, oh well.
Move on.
I agree with most of what you posted.
Hammer 4 – keep short range 3 targets good 400 launch
Scepter 3 – its fine, necro dagger 3 is 25 sec recharge
Mace 1 – the last attack needs to be faster and the heal smaller
Mace 3 – shouldnt proc on ranged. reduces range damage by a small amount for the duration of the channel
Shield – reduce recharge by a bit
Torch 5 – yea cure condis on self for sure
Staff – is fine
Symbols – yes. combine exaltation and persistence for a master trait
You absolutely need stand your ground. It isnt an option.

AH is good but its a crutch.
Logic is not comparing pve to wvw.
I and many roamers like me have and will continue to use critical damage in wvw. I’m not concerned at all.
They should change it to 10% on hit with staff or something like that.
Thanks for the post.
You need to rethink these buffs. Some of them are actually hindering which you stated you dont want.
The engi version also works with a dodge roll placing a mine. So I ran into one of these and it did 5k. Wtf. People still complain about dhuumfire?
Makes sense.

For ranged its called piercing. Just saying.
Word. The reason I bought gw2 was for the gw part. There isnt quite anything like seeing 60 red names all charge at you.
Its not like anyone actively thinks about cooldowns tho. Pretty much everything comes as a second nature with a lot of practice.
kitten people this isnt a memoir keep it short and sweet.
“Changes to crit damage”
Fine give us higher damage multipliers to compensate
I think its pretty lame but it wont be changed if it has not since release.
That said, stop trying to change the game and instead change the way you play. Its the only way to stay sane and have fun.

Alright first of all, sitting in DS for long amounts of time will not allow you to win against skilled players. Sure it does great damage at range, but it doesnt have the cc necessary to win. The opposite of staff is true. Sort of.
Dont use celestial anything, it sucks at stacking power. Every power based build needs to have a high power to be effective. Your main 3 gear choices should be zerk, knight, cavalier, and maybe 1 or 2 soldiers. Necros along with warriors have the highest hp pool so you dont need to stack vitality, plus vitality is to counter condis which necros should never fear.
Crit damage suffers from diminishing returns at a certain point when your power isnt high enough.
Dont use staff in 1v1 encounters. The cc seems like it would be good, but dagger/horn can cover cc while providing dps as a defense against professions that reset regularly. Aka thieves.
Axe/focus+dagger and dagger/horn should be your two weapon choices. Why? It doesnt matter how much soft cc you bring, at one point or another you will be in melee. At that point in time you want to be doing a truck load of dps, which dagger does.
Use offhand dagger. Its not just for condition builds, it has a condi transfer and blind that will save your life. Weakness, which is on dagger 5, along with protection, soft cc, and DS are your ways to survive in 1v1 fights that can last up to 10 minutes.
Dont sit in DS for the entirety of your life force. You need that to take hits so you dont die. Its great to throw a couple blasts at em, plus some cc, but you will realize as you play power necro more and more the various rotations. None of them require 11111111111.
If you are going to do a lot of 1v1s, gearing and traiting for dps will be your downfall. It simply cant be done on any profession. That said, there are some builds which will allow you to switch between dps and suvivability. At times its good to go full kitten, but you never go full kitten, nah mean?
Cheers. Hope this reached someone listening.
If someone cant sum up their build in less then 5 minutes on video then it doesnt need to be watched. Over the threshold the presenter starts filling in time with “how I felt about this” and “this is good but this can be good sometimes”. I hate that kind of kitten, I dont need someone thinking for me or wasting my kittening time with dribble. Sure I skip through a lot sometimes, but cmon.
There wont be either because that is how it is supposed to be.
Another thread that shouldnt be fed.
Most professions follow that same rule.
My first 80 was guardian, next was necro. I like necro better overall.
Basically the Class with the most awesome visual effects currently can’t be measured, because in the end, its all just a matter of personal taste.
However, I think many skills in GW2 could look much much better and more detailed.
Most Skills I find personally boring or unappealing by their design and or effects. There are many other games out there, which successfully are able to make their skills look much more impressive and that to an epic scale, that your jaws drop down just by looking at their effects.
Really hope that we get in future something like Skill Skins with that we can make the Skills look more impressive, otherwise I’ve to say that there exist even tons of offline rpgs with better Skill Effects, than GW2.
Wow youre hard to please.. GW2 is beautiful. Get over yourself.
I imagine it would be a nightmare for the programmers to add cleave based on what the axe and dagger animations look like.
I do agree that cleave would be a huge benefit to all while not really buffing the class to extremes.
Is GvG going to get an emphasis?
5)Power necro, place wells, lich form, spam 1.
nooo dont hate on power necro… :(
i would be suprised if any competent player died to the rotation you described.
I would put zerker ranger up there.
Oh and d/d ele but no one really sees them nowadays…
That is the only class I like getting rolled by.
All depends on how you want to play the game.
I suggest watching youtube vids, checking out different playstyles in pvp, or if you are more into pve then check out what is viable for that.
In general mesmer is more desirable for elite pve.
It may seem like a hassle to level up and gear two toons but it isnt when you get the hang of it. Always ask questions and check forums for info on builds/dungeons/farming what not.

http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Inspiring_Battle_Standard
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Healing_SignetYou were saying?
Think inspiring battle standard is garbage? In places like pvp, people do use it, and warriors along with their natural high armor and defensive skills have great condition damage. Its one of the worst things to go up against. If they have standard their damage will be low, not to mention you can easily kite them out of range of the standard, and they’re giving up a full utility just to get that regeneration.
Adrenal health is 1 tick per 3 seconds
Healing signet is balanced
Dogged march is dependent on other classes applying conditions.Warriors have 12% innate damage reduction (heavy armor vs light armor).
Try again. I know it’s hard to accept, but Warriors are balanced and you just need to learn to play.
you’re good. too good.

Ok its not their mechanic, but most thieves rely on it like it was.

Great, we are on the same page. Hard counters suck. Tell me more about your warrior hate, my shoulder is awaiting your tears.
buhzuhkuz stantss!!!!
In terms of fun, ele and engi takes the cake because of the vast amount of skills you have available.
You will get respect for being a good ele from the “elite” portion of players.
Pve dps ele fiery greatsword is the highest. Warrior has overall better dps tho.
Warrior is a lot easier then ele.
Warrior is an awesome melee-burst and zerg tanking machine.
Ele is the unrivaled boss of aoe damage.
When I reach an impasse, I will play each class equally in all parts of a game and eventually a decision will come.
what if mobs used cc so it was unlikely you’d all make it past them?
That moment when a mob takes the long way around a dungeon.
“Hey guys. Why are we still in combat?”
combat speed op
1. no guild wars in guild wars (gvg)
2. very limited trait/utility system
3. sea players dont have their own servers
4. pvp has one mode (no kdr scoreboard that every other game on this planet uses)
5. passive play (regen AND condis)
6. crystalline blade

hard content = qq
easy content = qq
WAI U NO LUV ME ANET
Until ncsoft says anet can give SEA players their own servers, dont worry about ppt. Join an organized guild group that does gvg or busts zergs. Its the only sane thing to do.

edit: wow i cant believe some people are taking the first paragraph from the OP seriously…. kitten learn to recognize humor.

Some one in our guild dropped a guild banquet and keg in an enemy garri a week ago. We proceeded to get “drunk” from interacting with the keg several times. The fact that it was knocking us down we thought was kinda funny.
Shortly afterwards we found our enemy. Charged straight at em. All of our skills were missing and everyone in ts was frothing at the mouth. Shortly afterwards we realized it was because of the “drunk” affect. Not so funny.
Its only a problem if you want to role play dungeons and youre constantly joining zerk only pug dungeon groups.
Thanks for sharing your build Tongku you gave me a bunch of good ideas.
If you want a power build, buff deathshroud because it will be your main source of damage. If zerging the best setup imo is axe/horn staff.

I havent had the chance to try this, I usually go 30 10 0 0 30, which seems to be geared more towards small scale combat.
For condi build, anything but dhuumfire is good. Dhuumfire is single target.

Good luck out there.
All I’m saying is that its possible.
You should use corrupt boon as often as possible in small engagements.
Well I think offhand dagger is awesome on a power build but thats just me I guess.
If people could see where the mark is about to be cast? kitten
Ok so lets make all other ground target skills behave the same way. NOPE
+1
Makes turrets harder to kill
Recharge starts when they are deployed not when destroyed
I dont even play engi but I would like to see this part of their skills buffed.
