I always make fun of them and get them to leave sometimes.
The trait system is simple and we have a limited amount of slot skills. I think Anet is doing a decent job. Every game has imbalances, complainers, and extremely bad ideas for balancing. Believe it or not but this game (and any mmo) is based around team play so your build will not work against everything.

I wonder what the math and reasoning is behind this.
Condi or zerker? PvP or PvE? These things are necessary to formulate an accurate response.
Give necros a greatsword. Problem solved.

1. Healing Power as a utility food. (The one with a wrench next to it)
2. Trait template saving option.
3. Improved commander and squad options. (Seriously why the kitten even join a squad)
4. New heavy class.
5. General get your kitten together and make GvG maps. Seriously, no one cares about slow tPvP which is boring as hell to watch, so stop trying to get it into eSports.

So why are my virtues not at the full 30% recharge reduction when 30 in virtue traitline?
Am I kittened or is this kind of a big deal for healway users? Did we intentionally get a nerf in the past that I do not know about?
I love mace/shield + hammer with maxed out healing power. Others may think you an idiot with such low vitality, but no, they are the fools. They do not know the maths: healing power = vitality after the fact it has taken effect. When you have maxed out healing power, superior sigil of stamina, and 2200 selfless daring, you will be a god. If only people knew the truth…
It would be nice if pet skills activated immediately. The next best thing would be if pet skills did not go on full kittening cooldown when I try to activate their skills immediately after I switch to them in combat.
Why this has not been implemented from the start makes no sense, and is a huge factor to why I avoid ranger in PvP. I’m sure others feel the same and demand to have this simple and core mechanic fixed. If only they would speak up in threads like this.
(edited by Stand The Wall.6987)
one more reason to avoid PvP completely.
I agree with some here, GvG style battles are way more entertaining to watch then PvP. There is a lot more going on, the pace is way faster, tactics are more engaging, more varied builds etc. I think its possible for GW2 to become an eSport through large GvG style combat, I’m thinking 20v20 and up. That is what will draw people to this game, and that is what Anet should focus on. Small scale stuff like 5v5 is incredibly boring compared to the chaos of a full scale battle to the average viewer.
For starters I would:
Put Dhuumfire on the staff auto, change the duration to 1 sec and CD at 5 sec.
Change the reanimator trait to a max of 3 minions with a CD of 5 sec.
Change Spectral Grasp to grab a max of 3 people in a line, shave off 1 sec of chill.
Halve the condition duration on Signet of Spite.
Halve the CD and siphon heal of Locust Signet.
Put 2 sec of vigor on Deathly Invigoration.
Have Vampiric Rituals affect allies instead of the caster.
with the upcoming HUGE buff to death shroud (-50% instead of 25% LS degen), i think DS is in a great place atm.
we basically get another health bar, more good control abilities, and awesome damage when specced for power.
i dont understand the dislike for ds. any more buffs for it and we will see other parts of necro get a nerf, which would be way worse.
not being able to receive healing in ds is fine, it would be op if we could. some of you want LF generation while in DS? what the hell? what a bad idea. that sounds unbalanced and again nerf-worthy. in wvw we would be better tanks then the heavies because we would be able to sit in DS most of the time.
i would run a build similar to yours when my team needs a full well spec. instead i am specced for ds cannon most of the time:
http://en.gw2skills.net/editor/?fQUQRAnd4YjMaZ6VambMcKEpCNDUh3LSxwcMUPcn15DB-j0zAYLBZ0FIxAmcASFCU2LiJwhsWBLiGriBTXma9JiyFQFD5BStPJZyAsMBA-w
if you want more toughness you could always switch up your food and get a momentum sigil for 225 toughs and rely on your staffheal for condi control. its a game changer for sure. it all depends on your playstyle and what your team needs.

Thanks for the good fights on reset night ZoD. Dont lose heart, just when the battle seems to be going downhill is when you strike at the heart of your opponent!
To the rest of Ebay: Please fight us, stop trying to run and abandoning half your force to our snipers. Even if you face overwhelming odds, you cant escape from combat so it doesnt make sense to die running away.
A hint: scouts when you PvD.
Guardian
[Empathic Bond>Savior or Martyr]
Active – 120 second recharge, duration 10 seconds, does not stack.
You take 10% of the damage of all party members. Damage received this way is converted into healing each second (up to 5% of healing power per boon on you).
Savior or Martyr – 4 second recharge, duration 2 seconds, does not stack, does not trigger cooldown.
You take 30% of the selected party members damage.
Necromancer
[Well of the Profane]
60 second recharge, duration 5 seconds, damage 6x 700. 360 radius. Smoke field.
Enemies in this well cannot receive any new boons or remove any conditions.
I really love this idea, and I hope it gets a lot of posts. In anticipation of this, I shall reserve the #1 spot.
most any condition class will have the +40% condition duration food as well as trait investment, so thats an easy 70% right there. i guess it evens out altho i still hate berserker stance from a condi perspective.

1. We rarely karma train. If there was one, everyone would know about it, and it would probably be in our awesome forums. 99% of the time when you join our free public TS you will here commanders saying that this isnt a karma train and to bring one of several meta builds. We have stayed mid-rankings in WvW for a while now. We get one or two good sized guild zergs (40-60 which usually thins out as the night progresses) during primetime (5-9pm pst) with solid, helpful and often times funny commanders. Most of the guilds are 15-25 strong. The pugtrain is usually at a minimum, except for eternal and homeworld instance pug commanders. There are a few core guilds that have always been here, some transfers that have been here for a while. Its awesome to jump around in the public TS and get a feel for how each guild operates. Most of our larger guilds are committed to zerg busting, and the smaller roamer types we have seem skilled enough (havent run with them yet). Dont expect running with a guild here easy by any means (there are exceptions), the enemy usually outnumbers us greatly, but when we pull through (which is often enough) the sense of pride and glory is great.
2. The PvE side is decent, but not great. There are Queensdale and Frostgorge karma trains most of the time. Guild hosted Orr temple runs (yes we do them all in one run) every Sunday and sometime midweek another guild does it I think. Um, cant think of anything else in PvE. Oh yea, meta bosses. Always a good sized group for those, most times someone goes to LA to warn people. The LA chat is, well, chat. Not much going on there.
So there you have it. Check out borlis.org if any of this interests you.
server time is pacific standard time.
gw2state.com for all your temple and boss needs.
the best thing for bosses like tequatl is to hop on their public TS and ask people. usually if you ask in map chat someone will reply.
karka farming is pretty good right now in sanctum of rall.

Why did I make a sylvari necro… we always get picked on! This must stop! Band together followers of undeath!
funniest picture yet. well OBVIOUSLY the bed was too comfortable, so he had to find something harder for his spine. too used to sleeping on unforgiving mountains i bet. also looks like there is a weapon strapped to his back. well people, you never know when some lurking monster is going to come scrounging for food so its best to be prepared, even in your dreams.
Awesome fight in SM last night. Even though Yaks and Ebay seemed content to sandwich BP for the better part of an hour, I still had a lot of fun. Died once in the beginning then lived through the rest as a zerk-ish necro. For some reason groups from both servers would completely ignore me. Pity? Maybe. Any who, it was really amusing watching both Yaks and Ebay trying to avoid eachother. Finally the pugs incited a war then there was no going back. I deeply regret not recording it.
I TS server hopped a lot last night, each time landing in awesome channels with people dedicated to zerg busting. Some times the enemy would break and try to run, but when they didnt, it was a blast. Thanks for putting up good fights.
~
Last two things I would like to say. One, I think its amusing that the Yaks and Ebay forum warriors are using PPT and WvW map pictures to assert their dominance. Two, LMFAO at all those Yaks pugs trying to kill me (the evading guardian) at Lion King Rock in front of Greenbriar (was it EBBL?).

Good idea for balancing PPT score, cant say I have seen anyone mention something close to this. That said, suggestions for balancing PPT score will be ignored and should be ignored because:
Its not fair to the winning team to be penalized for winning.
Its not the winning servers fault for having strong numbers.
The smaller servers have to adapt to deal with blobs by their own means. There are already plenty of ways to do this.
PPT score should not be the end-all way to determine which server is better. Plenty of roamers are happy to have a 10 min re spawn time, plenty of siege monkeys are happy to throw poop from up high, plenty of 20-30 groups are happy to be loot bags.
I used to think there was a problem, then I decided to ignore the score at the top and everything became a lot more enjoyable.
pressure pressure evade. pressure pressure pressure interrupt. burst.
more necros! corrosive poison cloud on their water fields.
more eles! the aoe dps they dish out is absurd.
awesome mesmers! use defensive portals.
it can be hard to find skilled squishies, so good luck to you.
If your server doesnt have a public TS (any 3rd party comms), set one up or transfer. If it does and you dont have to transfer, congratulations. Hop around the open guild channels until you find the right fit. Get comfy, have fun, try different specs and professions. The most fun I have is being in a very organized smallish group of 20-30 and taking on A. server queues B. other organized groups. Roaming is fun but PvP has a 1v1 queue with out the 10 minute re spawn. Doing anything for PPT is boring unless you are with a group doing it every now and then.

ah well there you go. nevermind then, and thanks.
I use this GM trait on my necro in pvp and the stability did not break stuns with fear + launch/blowout on several occasions. Please take the time to look at it, thanks.
female ele norn. they have awesome stars tattoos, eles have the best staff skills in the game, and female ele norn because you gotta have it.
It depends on what you want to do. If you’re PvE only, any server will be fine. If you roleplay, Tarnished Coast. If you WvW, I suggest Borlis Pass because we’re awesome.
omg a brolis from the pass! yes! BP if you check the wvw standings is sitting in the middle of all the servers. we have some stellar small roaming guilds as well as primetime zerg busters. the Q time for wvw isnt horrific compared to most others above us in the standings (they only win cuz of numbers, not heart). for pvp, def brolis pass. once you pass there is no going back. (shut up that is totally going to be a thing now)

+1 to more types of armors and weapons, as well as gw1 items. there is not alot of diversity in the fashion department which is strange considering how many people love cosmetics in mmos.
ive been playing rift for a couple of days now, and by god how it is so much better. if anyone leaves, the party gets a pop up saying if you want to re=enter the dungeon queue. when someone else joins (no the entire team isnt kicked) they just have to catch up (yay mounts).
RIFT-1 GW2-0
I’d say just close down one or more of the borderlands outside of NA/EU prime. Saying that OCX/SEA flat out don’t get to play wvw is a bad idea obviously. Individual OCX and SEA players contribute disproportionately to weekly scores. If NA servers could trade 50 NA prime players for 25 SEA players they would increase overall ppt. probably by a lot. This does not upset me personally; it’s just the way it works. But, if there are fewer objectives during these times we would see less score disparity.
This is just a way to keep scores closer- not sure if it makes the game more fun overall. Free transfers should be given out in a system change like this so players can spread out of relatively over stacked time zones to avoid the queues something like this would create.
I think in addition to keeping scores closer, this would reduce some of the no-that-fun parts of wvw: float teams, map-hopping, and lonely scouts on team speak watching Watergates on maps by themselves.
most people would use free transfers to go to higher populated servers to zerg. why face 40 with your 15 when it could be the other way around? im sure there would be some dedicated people but the number im sure would be comparatively smaller.
necros that dont bring well of corruption to wvw are failures. dont fail guys.
I don’t like bringing well of corruption.
I don’t think that I have ever stripped Stability with the well. It doesn’t work. Of AoEs, only null field seems to work,
Replacing Swiftness with cripple is the best possible likely outcome, but I’d rather bring something like spectral wall for zergplay.
even if you dont strip the stability necros are the only other class that can strip boons. no boons=no win. no 25 might stacks= no win. no protection= no win. there is a reason gvg leaders bait the enemy.
i went for full chill durations with runes on my necro early on not knowing whats what, and it was actually pretty fun. for a while.
chilling darkness+well of darkness+plague form+DS 2+ focus5+epidemic
+40% condi food 10 in spite = 50% on all condi duration
i wouldnt go further than that

So I tested this in PvP several times, you need a 10% condition duration rune (or 10 into spite) to get fears to the intended 50%.
Hoping this is not a stealth nerf.

trait for foot in the grave and stop being dhuumfire noobs. there now your survivability against idiot cc spammers has just increased tenfold.
all the power build only users will keep crying until the end of time because dhuumfire added that extra damage to put necros on par with zerk bursters. meanwhile condi warriors, engis, and mesmers have been enjoying way more survivability plus confusion stacking.
necros that dont bring well of corruption to wvw are failures. dont fail guys.
in pve this trait seems to work fine, but i noticed that in pvp the duration is reduced and that means 1 less damage tic.
sorry i should have put pvp in the title.
1. every mmo has grind
2. people hate pay 2 win
3. casual players = cash flow
Guardian has decent mobility
Sword 2
Greatsword 3
Judges Intervention
Retreat
Stand Your Ground if someone tries to stunlock you
Plenty of condition cleansing skills+traits
5 seconds of block+invuln with shelter and renewed focus
Target a monster for sword 2 and Judges Intervention and be careful not to be too close or you will be put into combat speed.
Good luck out there!

So by using both mouse buttons to move, you come to a complete stop every time you select a new target? Sounds like suicide.
I think the combo of holding down the right mouse button for turning and WASD or ESDF for movement is and always will be the most comfortable for me.
