BG and FA, i sincerely hope you guys pulverize TC into tiny bits of RP’r dust. I’ve never played against a server that constantly complains so much about everything. Needless to say it was a great joy spawn camping them to the extreme ( trebs, ballistas, shame ram trains and barricades). I can trully understand why FA detests TC so much now that i’ve played against them.

Oddly, the first time SOR faced them, i dont recall them being this way.

Oh, so thats where your guild was. PiNK ran into most of the real guilds like CHOO, FEAR and TW but I guess we didn’t spend enough time around the spawn area to see if you guys we’re any good. Hopefully we’ll notice you next time.

BG is coming in ‘true’ second place in t1 this week, in terms of wvw coverage and skill, so I’d hold onto your hats. Expect to be smacked around.

We don’t hold any illusions that we are going to beat BG. We are just so tired of seeing Sanctum of Rall Invader over people’s heads that we’d even welcome a beat down from JQ.

Little early isnt it. The real question is, will anet fix the queues so TC can have more than 30 people on at once! Stay tuned to find out!

Maybe transfers are still counting to their old worlds population in wvw instead of their new one.

Maybe thier culling fix really just reduced max players on the field. Pretty kittens if you ask me. The thing I don’t understand is why some servers seem unaffected by it. Why hasn’t JQ commented? SoR is also a packed server and seems to be able to field well more than this as well. I think with this post it’s pretty clear it is real and not a figment of tc’s imagination.

Right now TC has a queue on all 4 maps…We are losing by 200k and supposedly we are filling full queues while holding 120 points. I’m telling you, something is wrong with TC’s queue’s…

I do have to say that I definitely /dance on enemies’ bodies often. But I think people are a bit too quick to judge. I never dance on a body to show superiority or anything like that.

My philosophy is that anyone who is killed and doesn’t respawn is waiting for an ally to come catch up or come out of hiding to res them. If it is at a camp I want to keep, or somewhere I don’t want enemies, I will stand right on them and /dance. It is nothing personal. I just want you to know that I am content to stay right there, so you can either WP back, or have your friend try to kill me. Most often, the people leave. Even when I know they have some ally hiding out there. I think it is a valid way to prevent the party you just killed defending your camp from just getting ressed and taking the camp you just left.

People aren’t ressing because you danced though…I think 90pct of the time people are just going afk, waiting on a certain waypoint to turn, or like you said, waiting on their friends, but none of those are in anyways related to whether or not you dance. I have emotes turned off so I hardly understand the hub bub, but I do wonder why you purposely do something that hurts feelings if those are your reasons.

The WM thing is my point and was what spread the plague. I honestly think SBI could have survived, even thrived without WM but instead people just bread animosity against WM all the while saying that the sky was falling. Some folks stepped up and some folks didn’t like that. We ended up fighting ourselves then it led to apathy followed by escape pods firing.

Dunno, I guess everyone has their view of what happened. If you stuck with SBI, you have more resolve than I; even when I tried to help herd the kittens. Good luck to you.

I still don’t really understand why your guild, as well as others chose to leave SBI. You guys had a guaranteed spot in T2 as far as I was concerned and probably could have rebuilt and beat SoR at some point. WM left, and you guys lost T1, but it was the second exodus that killed SBI and your guild stands primarily at the forefront of that. Everyone has to pursue their own fun, I won’t fault you there, but reality is that SbI was absolutely fine when you jumped ship.

I secretly suspect that SoR appears to be more plentiful because they often run as 2 seperate guild groups, a broader militia group, and a couple smaller havoc squads on each map. As a member of TC, we do this too, on reset night, and sometimes on other BL’s, but we really lack the coordination to do this on TCBL and EB because they are already near full or full most of the time. This is just one of those things that the Tier 1 servers have figured out, and we need some more time.

The Tarnished Coast is a great server and I’m proud to be apart of it. I think many of the top tier servers consider their community to be the wvw guilds that frequent wvw everyday all day long, but on TC, our community really is our community…its everyone. Its a family and in as much we disagree and have strong opinions, we always come back and log in the next day or night and rally against what are pretty overwhelming odds at the moment. Better yet, anyone that didn’t feel that way had plenty of chance to jump island. Its easy to feel pride when everyone else does too.

Doesn’t this mean that kain will sink in the ratings after the reset, only to slowly smash it’s way back up when their break is over? If you don’t want to play, go ahead and enjoy the tantrum, but don’t ask all those other people to fall on your sword with you.

As for money, well my main had lots so I can’t say if its realistic to make it monetarily, but the fun is well worth it.

He would be better off buying greens every 10 levels or so. The invader armor is overpriced IMHO even at low levels whereas greens are really cheap. Plus that way you save your karma to get an orr set at 80.

Fair enough. I did it this way because I have 2mil+karma on my main and it didn’t seem an issue.

Thanks for the input! From what I’m reading I guess its not going to be nearly as brutal as I thought it would be, which is good.

I chose at random (excluding engi of course) and ended up with a ranger, so I guess my journey begins.

Best advice I can give is try to stick with the zerg if possible and if you can find a good commander that turns objectives alot, he’s your new best friend. Always be in a group if possible and if you can be in a group with real lvl 80’s you will lvl faster and see more loot. Try to tag as much as you can ie AOES, and get some extra bag space quick, because you don’t want to have to leave a great zerg to sell crap every 3 minutes.

You can find them, rarely, but they are there. You can use badges to buy them, though it takes some time, I was able to get a piece a week at the very least myself. The easiest way though, and probably the best way atm, is to use the karma you are getting from dailies, monthlies, and wvw and buy God Temple Armor which is really pretty good if you do some research. The new added jewelry and back items are pretty awesome tbh.

I have map completion, I just thought it might be nice for the people on all 3 servers who need it. Nm getting to t1 is srs bsns.

Good or Bad, WvW starts again on Feb 1st. Its a brand new world, we’re all tier 1 till then! WAY TO GO GUYS!

I have a really amazing computer to the extent I scoffed a little bit at charges of culling because maybe my view distance is so far out I’m not affected? I dunno, but anyways, I can see much much more than I could before to the extent its a little funny watching the zerg trains moving around and around trying to cull and recull. I can even see them dropping fields and what not in the distance. Maybe the fixes only help the top end?

Our population will always keep us in a competitive tier, thats not what this is about. We never had any problem coming in third to you and BG. We eagerly awaited Sbi joining the fun. What we didn’t like were the rules changing on us and having to watch our hardwork just evaporate because other people can’t handle those things. We want 3 equal opponents playing at their best, and we want to be apart of that.

You do realize you lose more than anyone else? Blackgate and FA are going to eat up your rating. You will be in a lower tier than even us. I mean unless you guys want to go to T5/6.

At least if things stayed the same, you are fighting a T1 server(BG or SoS) and FA. You would have gained rating against BG. Now you’re just going to lose it completely and fall down to such a low tier.

Why do people who went to Kaineng act like they just graduated college and landed some new high paying job. You just changed servers, get over yourselves.

Even if you don’t like the answers people are giving, it doesn’t mean those aren’t answers to your question. There is alot for small guilds to do, but if absolutely none of that interests you then you are exactly right.

If nothing else just look around for a group of PiNK and kill with us, or ask us how you can help. We constantly have to split our numbers because noone outside of the guild volunteers to just watch a camp or help siege up a keep. We got used to this sort of small guild help in T3 and have really lacked it in T2.

Sadly, I think this forum hatred from TC has resulted in the transfers from the TC to SoR server the past 2 days. You guys have lost about 30-50 WvWers(that I know of) to us because of it and 2 of your larger WvW guilds came inquiring.

For your own good, just take it easy and let it go. All the anger, hatred, jealousy and general animosity isn’t helping your cause at all and it changes nothing about the situation. If anything, you guys are now bleeding players and creating dissension amongst yourselves.

You’re my opponent, but for your own good, get it together.

I appreciate the constant compliments, from all your guilds. Its nice to know we have made a mark even in an unbalanced matchup. That’s actually the kind of guild we want to be, and I think we’re getting there.

I’m saddened by the need for people to put down fellow Coasters though, even if you think you are doing so in some sort of friendly way. The truth is, its hard to lose, and even harder to lose badly. Track your own threads coming in second week after week and you see exactly the same sort of posts you are seeing here. Then check out the other matchup threads and again, they are much the same or even worse.

I want/wanted us to be above that, but noone is above human nature and if you come to the internet expecting to find the best of humanity then you will always be dissapointed. But this street goes both ways. As few of us that try to keep above the negativity and bad sportsmanship on our side, it can be equaly said that there are few of you being above the chest thumping and back patting.

Tarnished Coast will be a great server regardless of what tier we are in, period. I don’t think alot of servers can say that. We could move down to Tier 8 tomorow and still have a full server at all hours because we are more than just WvW. Maybe you are too, I’ll never know. But I do know that I’m proud of the little rp server that moved up and over so many of the people and guilds that are now newly transferred to the top 4 servers. We win as a team, and we lose as a team. Let’s just finish this matchup, go our seperate ways for now, then we’ll see you again once this whole Anet caused disaster is over.

Really dissapointed in the whining, complaining and rampant baiting going on in this thread. TC has always made a point to bring our way of playing with us, and its sad that that only seems to apply when we are winning. If the score total is that important to you, please just take a couple weeks off while the system fixes itself.

As for spawn camping, its a valid tactic that has been in T1 for a long time. We were aware of it even in T3 when dominating FA and CD but I don’t think anyone had any real interest back then at sitting in a spawn with a balista when there were other maps to play in. Valid or not, its a shame that it really just hurts the little guy looking to have some fun. Guilds can come in and wipe that in seconds.

Still, in order for to SoR to get out of this tier as soon as possible, they really do need to dominate the score board. Its what most of you wanted last week, well, this is it.

So glad to have Ellehnia on Tarnished Coast! She is a super talented lady and the Dolyak parades really are one of the few opportunities to remember that its a game and not to take it all so seriously. I hope more people join us in DOLY!

Good fights on Sbi BL!

You see the problem arose when they didn’t have guesting ready for release. Without that promised feature they had no choice but to offer free transfers instead. Because wvw is such a low priority anyways, they figured they could live with unbalanced wvw until guesting came out and there is no way they were going to cut off free transfers without giving the much larger all pve crowd a heads up. There real hope now is that despite these 3 to 4 awful weeks of wvw, that the glicko system will catch up just in time for the February wvw patch and everyone will forget all about the crappy wvw. Of course this only works if the february patch is a winner.

You are t1, you are all stacked. Its like the kardashian sisters arguing who is dumber.

After reading a couple posts in this thread, I started wondering just how far down the rabbit hole went. SoR has been around for years at least… plotting, scheming having their way for this moment and a final push. How low will you people sink?

For all the animosity displayed here on the forums between the two servers, I must say TC and SoR seemed to work quite well together out in SBI BL. It was rough-going for a bit as we tried to defend the garrison from the SoR zerg while TC came through hitting our towers and camps. Reminds me of the “old” days in T1 when SoS and JQ would gang up on SBI.

Either way, fun fights. I’m quite proud of my fellow “Steelballs” Isle players who’ve stuck it out for better or worse!!

No offense, but having your server out of t2 will help us as much as getting rid of SoR. Don’t expect too much mercy till this boring matchup is done.

The People’s Liberation Front free’s another captured SBI Keep from Sanctum of Rall’s hands. Prepared to give it back to the people, we have decided first to outfit it with the latest accountrements before once again letting them through the gates. UPDATE:

I can’t speak for any other guilds, or any other Coasters, but I feel like PiNK has grown so much since we hit t2. Score aside, its great getting to play against so many t1 caliber guilds every night then learn to counter or copy them. Working with DiS was awesome and I hope the other guilds on TC realize the opportunity to improve everytime you take the field. I see WvW becoming GvG more and more over the coming months with the inadaquacies in server populations, and this is the boot camp.
