Many people saw on reddit a player based post that you’ll need 175 hero points to unlock elite specs, and skills. And 250 for the special weapon.

The 175 hero points thing HAS to be a joke. Anet knows a strong amount of the playerbase does pvp and wvw only. You pretty much would need map completion to unlock an elite specizalation. A requirement for map completion to unlock one of the biggest things in the expansion would cause a massive drop in the playerbase, to much complaints, to many demands for refunds.

Whoever came up with the 175 does not work for anet, so they have 0 idea how to even unlock the elite specizalation classes. It could even be a special quest you need to do to unlock it. I wouldn’t worry about the 175 points personally. A lot of people do not have map completion and a lot of people never will. They wouldn’t introduce a major selling point for something most people won’t get. So relax. Gw2 is a great game, they wouldn’t kill it on purpose. The elite specizalations will be able to be unlocked by everyone I would imagine fairly easily.

The price tag on hot IS the price of the expansion. Core game has nothing to do with it. When the next expansion comes out it will also include hot and core game in it.

The price is extremely fair for a game that requires no monthly fee.

You just need to accept that Anet doesn’t give a kitten about Forge and Druid, we will be lucky if they are actually available at hot launch let alone in a viable state.

That’s really not fair to say as there has to no matter what be 2 last reveals.

Revenant was tested the most for obvious reasons being new. It’s very possible anet is more prepared with them and feels they needed the least testing as they were pretty much ready before other classes even. No need to be a negative Nancy

Keep in mind 6 stacks of might is 180 power which a lot of classes have as a permanent utility skill. Considering we need constant upkeep of energy on ours it’s very fair still. I’ll most likely not use it personally as I’d rather keep up fury with some regen in my energy.

I hope the hardcore players don’t take it to serious and annoy all the casual players

The weapon skills have low cost and can do great damage. If they removed cooldown they would increase cost of energy which would be worse

How exactly is this going to work? As legends are only allowed to use certain utility skills does that basically mean we will be forced into having to spend points we don’t really want to?

I want to use the bare minimum so I can get to herald much quicker as that’s where my intrest is in.

Well as odd as this sounds I wish they didn’t release all 4 at once. Will make the maps seem a lot more empty for events and chains in each area. Imagine if they released orr, SW, and drytop at same time.

They do not need map chat. They can still use say and talk to people in the area

I think the Halloween event unlike other major events is kinda just hitting a button to turn it on. I think would just need bug updates. Gw knows we love Halloween and would turn it off for HoT.

I just fear it might delay hot launch from bugs

100% yes that’s what I fear. It took hours of kicking people and refining parties for one 8 minute fight for titan extreme. Gw2 was not supposed to be like that.

Right now I main guardian. I always wanted my heavy armor sword shield class.

With the traits and permanent fury I think the damage can match it. So I think I will main it

I think next beta revenant will be in a pretty good spot. Plus one more after that. I think revenant will be ready for sure.

Am I fan of raids? Actually yes. I did them a lot in Wow and did them in ff14.

The main reason I came back to gw2 full time now as my only game is because as an adult the game is beyond perfect for an hour at a time play which is the most I can do.

Seeing from any mmo in the past, and how this one is structured I see it taking well over an hour at a time for casual players to complete these raids. I fear it’s going to involve way to many people trying to be hardcore, talking down to players, kicking players who are trying to get this done.

This just isn’t what gw2 was made for I thought…..

No, the core game is free to play. The expansion is buy to play.

But should not have access to laurels, legendary, or ascended gear. The game still has a price for a reason

The 3 years you gave me of great entertainment, the 3 years of map chats I had, all the time I invested into this game over 3 years is not enough! Refund or riot!

In all seriousness good job anet. The restrictions on the tp to just the basic gear and no daily log in rewards or map chat should keep things flowing good. Luckily I don’t think this will break the game

Flashy armor is something I hope it’s not. Just very unique look would be nice. We have enough things in this game making to many effects

The tp items should be white gear only I hope.

And pm a new person every 30 seconds still is not good with gold sellers, maybe one pm to a new person every 10 minutes

I have in my bank unused skins, dreamthistle ones. If I use it on my beta character will they still remain in my bank as unused and sellable or no?

Also if I buy items from a merchant will I lose the gold as well? Or is everything on beta character not accounted for. Wanted to buy cultural armor in beta weekend and don’t want to lose the gold plus the skin

What time does the actual show start eastern time? Not the preshow. I thought it was 2 30 but on twitter they said less then an hour.

I’m not sure why you are so focused on the “it’s designed for the elite specs”

That will never be true. It’s just another way to approach it. The exact same skilled players using elite specs or not I highly highly doubt would make an impact

My armor will be valkyrie everything else zerker. With permanent fury and the trait to double it should still hot a nice 60% ctit chance with great health

I hope not. Will mess up with my vacation week in taking off work. Coming out on a Tuesday or Wednesday would kinda stink

I really wish glint was a base legend. In the future if we want to pick a new elite specizalation one day we will lose our shield, permanent fury, permanent swiftness, might stacks, and the great traits that go with it all at once. Glint really feels like a legend that needs to be part of revenants in my opinion and removing it would really hurt the class a lot.

Well keep in mind it’s beta. I don’t think in the last beta we had access to 100% for gw2 launch. Or did we? I won’t be in the new maps for a while anyways

Well just requested a week off from work. Got in nice and early so I’ll be all set.

Am I the only one who thinks it’s just fine? Besides needing a faster projectile speed on auto attack I had 0 issues or complaints with the beta testing. I really enjoyed using longbow over a scepter torch. I liked the traits I had a well and it really didn’t impact my sword/focus really at all.

1. Free to play typically means the game is over. When games go free to play they don’t last as long. And the amount of spam we will get from gold sellers will be awful.

2. We don’t need raids. I understand people like them and have been asking for them but seriously go play wow and ff14. A large amount of people in this game got it to get away from garbage that destroys the community in other mmo games.

I’m fine with all of them. Most of the people complaining sound like they wanted new classes.

They are just adding onto the current classes which they did 100% correct. Each class has new skills, and new weapons, and new traits. That was the goal of this, and that they did. If someone doesn’t like it owell honestly. They still added to the class.

Yes we are weak to conditions for sure. But remember with glints heal those conditions will heal us.

Once they stack up as well jails heal will remove all conditions and heal us. Legend swap if traited to breaks stun, shield 5 can make you immune to conditions to 4 seconds as well. We do have options, not as many as some other classes but it’s still something. We can also taunt as well which can be very helpful
