Depending how you build very high. Downside though is going with one of the full out dps builds you have to at all times maintain fury, and if it drops you’ll see a huge decrease. I liked sword damage and hammer damage a lot overall though. Plus I can finally use a shield with sword on heavy armor class!

Aa another person mentioned I didn’t think about.

Did the blade actually do damage on the way back? So does this mean we will have a dps loss?

From my understanding other classes have done perma chill builds but they do not work as nice as they sound

Not as tough as engineer or elementalist. I think a skilled thief is harder to play as well. Then maybe revenant.

UA in no way needs a nerf. It’s really the only damage skill we have with a sword shield build. How about what ever class you play let’s nerf your damage skill

Keep canceling my 2 skill though from force of habit moving. But I love this so much more then my scepter! Great job with the class.

Omg I couldn’t see a thing in new map during events.

For over 3 years we have been asking for the ability to turn off other players effects and we got nothing. It’s too difficult to see what’s going on half the time. I have no idea why anet has yet to fix this.

I’m afraid of seeing legendary armor to. We have to much flashy stuff going on as is

Firstly, not every player will be happy no matter what. That’s a simple fact.

Secondly every player has another meaning of the word difficult.

Player A says this content is way to easy while player B might be struggling with it. That makes player A and B both unhappy. While if open world pve stays on the easier side just player A is unhappy. Player A is allowed to be unhappy however because open world pve shouldn’t be a difficult challenge. Player A now has raids, and higher level fractals.

Me personally, I don’t get to play much video games. I’m the first to admit I’m not as skilled as others players. So I feel I should not be punished by making the easier parts of the game harder. Player A above has other things to do now so they can go do those, and think about player B who may be having a hard time with what you call easy. Open world pve should be left as it’s always been. This is my opinion on the matter. Thank you.

To be completely honest, i don’t believe for a second that ascended will be REQUIRED for raids. It’s 5% superior to exotics. I’d take a decent player in exos over a scrub in full pink any day.

Keep in mind 5% extra damage is ALOT if 10 people all are in ascended gear. That’s 50% more damage which will make a big change.

But to op the games been out for 3 years, and SW over a year. Getting the money to buy a full ascended set of weapons and armor should not be an issue for anyone in this game.

Glint with sword and shield and hammer. All we will see in pve really. I just hope it doesn’t get boring fast.

Roy has been very helpful so far. I REALLY hope he looks into this. It’s very difficult to land to inside bases in SW because the little hills. The auto attack really suffers from this big time

I personally like it. Open world pve is supposed to be like this outside of events. Just trying to get to point A to point B shouldn’t involve snipers randomly coming out killing me and stopping every 5 seconds for a fight.

You now have higher level fractals and raids for what you are looking for.

I like the dodge effect as well

You have to be doing anything in a HoT map. Normal xp goes towards it. Outside of HoT in core game you just get the mastery points

You have to actually have gliding selected and leveled. Once you level the mastery you can use the points.

Nobody knows yet. Might be possible to even unlock before 80 if you have the correct amount of hero points

Generally……if people themselves can not solo it, and are not skilled enough to do it solo they don’t like it because someone’s making money off something they can’t do.

People here who are super against it, I would bet money 90% of them would be selling it if they were able to solo it. It’s a service people use to make money, and it’s something players obviously do not mind buying as it’s a service they want.

I wouldn’t mind but I really hope I can use my transmutions again as I couldn’t before. Don’t want to look silly in beta!

But yes I plan to main it, I may go back to guardian down the road though as I actually do enjoy dragonhunter a lot besides the traps. I do mostly open world pve and I find herald will do a better job with that.

If raids truly need a tank or support will it be us? Full set of clerics everything, mace, and shield or focus?

I could see this being fun for a guardian as the full clerics guardian has never really worked or been needed before. Plus with our utility skills this would help as well.

You just wasted more time logging into forums, and making this topic then you ever would of spent just clicking not at this time when it pops up. Just ignore it.

Right this is something I really had hoped they discuss.

Is a prequest needed? How many hero points to unlock? How many hero points per skill?

For all we know as you progress story instead of a race story there will be parts of a class story related to unlocking it. We really need some info on this with release under a month away now.

Scenario 1 – raids are truly difficult, a dedicated healer is needed. That would be a druid. So if that’s the case every one will need a druid, raids will be sitting in lfg needing a druid. Thus creating the issue anet stated this game would never have of needing a dedicated healer or tank to do things thus no queues.

Scenario 2 – druid isn’t needed. A full dps team or team with minimal valkyrie or knights armor can still beat the raids making druid 100% useless and simply not needed.

Is there a scenario 3 I’m missing? I just see this game slowly trying to turn into an mmo that’s been dying over the years and using the old mechanics of old mmos. I feel like guild wars 2 doesn’t want to be guild wars 2 anymore.

I agree with number 2. Melee attacks on a sword such as guardians 3rd auto attack don’t work well often in certain situations and cause misses which can be rather annoying. Also starting with a stab feels rather odd.

Guardian needed a new weapon for range. The longbow fits perfectly. Everything about DH is what was needed. The traps aren’t great yes as they are not ground targeted but I’d rather use guardian abilities anyways.

People just wanted to much. The class is perfectly fine. Yes I main guardian to and have 0 complaints. The bwe3 changes with faster projectiles for auto attack was all it really needed in my opinion from the first event.

I see no reason why a class should be released early. As it’s a part of HoT it should be released with HoT. First day will be spent crafting and making tomes and getting all gear set

With the perma fury best off with valkyrie armor, weapons and accessories zerker.

I prefer higher power then ferocity as you have 2 traits for 150 extra ferocity.

I think it’s a fantastic idea because it makes sense.

Do you really think the plant dragon that has 0 control over any other should be called to it to be it’s minion? It’s a great idea what they are doing. Luckily my revenant will be a sylvari and I’ll get to experience it. In the future in sure each dragon will be connected with the other races as well. I give anet an A+ for it.

The issue though is say I make a guardian full tankish. All vitality toughness and healing power. I will fail every single event because not enough damage was done. That makes an issue if we try using other roles as nothing but dps

Maybe this has always been an issue and I’m just now realizing it?

But sometimes I’ll be standing right in front of an enemy, have them targeted, and my character is often kind of looking to the side of them and my sword auto attack 3 keeps missing.

Never had this issue with any other class or weapon so not sure if this is a personal bug, or an auto attack bug but my guardian lately has really been kinda dumb out with sword with enimies right in front of me.

I hope 100 points max. 175 is a lot to have to unlock for each class or people with a lot of ults. That’s nearly needing current world completion at the moment to unlock all core stuff plus elite specizalation which is just insane. Considering it’s a major selling point on the game I hope they don’t lock it behind a crazy number.

I see no issues with it at all. People are selling a service to people who want to buy it. It’s a rather selfish thing to want it to stop because your hurting then both buyers and sellers. Just yesterday I made a lfg to buy wicked rodeo achievement as I could not manage it myself using caithe even with a group of 4 others. Should I get in trouble because I needed assistance?

Now maybe if in the LFG system they had a spot to buy and sell services that would make you happy without effecting others.

Finishing up luminescent armor sets for title.

Recently finished getting full set of ascended stuff ready for revenant.

Farming more gold to level weaponsmith and armorsmith to 500 on revenant when it releases.

Because i’m planning on maining my rev i was planning using a name change contract on my warrior and taking it’s name Hoctar for my rev. That way i’d be like Rytlock changing from a war to rev. Just have to decide on a new name for my warrior now lol

Ouch I ran into that once, need to buy 3 name change contracts for that. Ended up deleting my character, changing name of other, and just redid the first character with tomes.

Remember $60 is a lot, your better off buying one, and spending $20 on gems convert to gold and buy the gear you lost. Bank anything ascended first. Unless you have $60 to toss away lol. Just what I did hopefully help for you.

Oddly after making this post I finally finally found a group yay!!!!

Why would you make an achievement so extremely impossible? It’s All About Timing is an achievement in arcana obscura where you need to do something that takes with 100% ctit chance, 5000 power, and 50k hp Mehr 10 minutes if played perfect. Yet we need to do it under 8 minutes?

Try with other people you say? Oh ok I’ll make a lfg in party search and wait and wait and wait for no one to join. After 45 minutes one person joined and left because the wait was to long because no one does this. This achievement needs not fixed, but just removed.

I am trying to complete my story quest and I am supposed to speak with Ogden. Every time I do the exact same options appear. I have gone through every single option and it never changes. I logged out and back in, same issue still? I do not recall having any issues my first time going through this.

People need to really stop comparing classes to new elite specizalations already.

Daredevils a better guardian then guardian because staff does more damage

Reapers a better mesmer then mesmer because you can do more damage up close.

Glints a better ele then ele because fury is easier to grant to allies.

Enough already. It’s a different class doing a different role then other classes!

What…..druid? How to unlock elite specs? The other masteries? We still have more to see
