I think the 1s nerf on Infused light glint heal rly hurt, theres not enough time to get any significant return of hit points. it just feels rly weak now compared to bwe3.
compared to warrior defiant stance which is also 3s and works mostly the same it seems like reducing 4s to 3s was fair. consider though warr has access to stance survival and alot more condi clear and you start to see that perhaps infused light should have a longer duration.
sad fact is anet will nvr reverse a nerf and instead find some other overly complex way to compensate that just causes more problems.
sos went from high, skipped over very high and went straight to full. this is very odd…

it works rly well, able to handle just about anything in the jungle with ease.

you have to admit that mesmers are rly hard to deal with even if you are giving them your full attention. most times youll be in a fight and you kinda see some clones appear on your peripheral and you wonder… are those for me? then you hear that awful annoying PEEEEEEW sound and youre in down state.
I think the actuality of the problem is mesmer are balanced around the post hot meta. they are OP now with out a doubt. I spent a lot of time fighting mesmers in bwe3 and they werent nearly as dangerous as they are currently.
most of my vs mesmer fights were chronomancers running shatter variants. real chronomancers are scary! I have spent these in between months learning mesmer and it was pretty fun being able to fight just about any class or build with confidence.
I didnt win every fight, I got in a couple duels with a necro who spanked me pretty hard. Mesmer was especially good vs ranger and theres just a kitten load of roaming rangers out there so I imagine most of the qq is from them.
what ever you think op or not, I believe hot will sort it out.

so one time in wvw I was caught in a 3v1 and mid fight a thief just appears in the down state next to me, so actually it was a 4v1. they tried to rez the thief so I hit the rest of my f buttons and they downed too. then I stealth stomped all of them.
My guild and I recently transferred to sos and we are very happy we moved.

I stopped going to OS during s1 and the forced mu rotations. 9 weeks is a long time and rivalries are forgotten.
When the tourny finally ended OS nvr returned to life and I got involved in others parts of wvw. Itll nvr come back either for a lot of reasons.
My suggestion is that we make the center oasis the new roaming turf. We could even pick a color to gather at for low pop servers.
And im not talking about those… I walk yaks so Im a roamer too, types. Pure stalking and murder. No bm, tea bagging, siege throwing wannabes either.

Like I told you, I do share your frustration. I know full well that the said server is being carried by a relatively small pop and that there is a lot of air in the bag of chips. That being said, it is still horrendously unfair to try to make the above data speak in ways it can’t, or say we deserve more or less the rank we have. Are the people below working harder or are they gifted with much more talent? If so than why aren’t they above? If anything, what is really frustrating of the said server is just how much potential lies stagnant considering a lot of things we both know.

Having played on or against many of these servers I can say there is a reason they are 3rds.
Mega servers makes the need to be on a single server for any pve content moot. RP is no different. You could split your guild between any servers in the region (NA/EU) and still get together to RP.
I dont think NA and EU can pve together.
if you dont RP in wvw then it doesnt matter. maybe they are trying to do wvw as a guild though sans RP and want to play together. If you do want to RP in wvw… I expect to see videos!

Are you sure that its Saturday that ppl are going after or the earlier reset time during Saturday?
So i think its a numbers game not every one can play Friday night but a lot more ppl can play Saturday. Changes is scary but every thing will change in time you cant think things will stay the same forever.
Yeah the earlier reset time is what is killing this change for me. I almost never miss a reset but I’ve got a kid and a life outside of the game, I can’t waste the bulk of my Saturday on this crap.
I posted that before seeing the new saturday morning time. I actually made that suggestion in the original red thread, do I win or blame me?!

If any has been following the why ppk is bad thread I think this shows it would benefit half the servers, more than I expected. This lends positive support to making such a change.
None the less, the WvW scoring week will have the same amount of days in it either way. it seems to me that way too many are over reacting, as well as putting to much artificial value on playing at reset.
you are right, it doesnt make any difference mechanically at all and it is indeed artificial value but friday reset has become our tradition. its more than just some arbitrary day just like a national anthem is more than just a song.
the problem with cele is how they changed condi scaling. general guideline is 1k for the condition damage stat or else dmg is sub par. yes I know whats his name said 800 on the stream but the math doesnt support.
the reason cele worked in the past was the stats on the trait lines boosted engis and eles just stacked lots of might to compensate. the other armor sets got a larger increase in the dmg stats so we end up with cele giving you about the same as pre 6-23.
I can kinda imagine a mallyx – glint build working with mace/shield and hammer. rumor has it they are scaling healing stat so we will just have to wait and see the hot changes.
The fix to the original problem should have been to allow all players on an AC to have full FoV when firing. That would mean to counter an AC, a siege team would build an AC. Instead we got a change that nerfs ACs so hard it makes defending only possible with superior numbers.
The fov caused the problem to begin with, not on the defensive side, but the exploiting on offense. If you alter the fov on ACs you need to consider how it will be used offensively, too.
thats not true, before the fov changes we could still do the same burning siege on the inside of walls with ACs you just needed to be a little more clever about it. the fov update just made it available to every kitten face carrying blue prints.

Well, this change in seemingly a number of people’s eyes seems to be out of the blue. I don’t think I’ve witnessed anyone complaining about Friday being reset night. Now, some people might have that don’t post on the forums, but I think even in that scenario it could use explanation.
Just because people want change doesn’t mean any change is good. Also, consider people that weren’t complaining before that might have preferred or tolerated the status quo and said nothing about it until now.

I wonder if this is more of a casusal vs hard core debate. Those who would rather go to the bar on Friday and want just play for a few hours in the evening vs those who go from bed right to the computer on saturday morning.

PPK in this scenario would benefit BG because while it wins most of the time
another fail attempt to defend the server you are in. bg is almost always in hibernation mode. they all will come out to play during seasons. either that or they’ll buy enough mercenaries to cover the gap. buying is no more due to lock/full status. but hibergating still exists. bg pro at ganking with bigger roaming groups. eom.

Bloodlust/points per stomp is on the Alpine map which is being removed in HoT.
As to why PPK should be around, PvP should be incentivized and encouraged. Not this boring kitten run around PvD, backcap, and avoid fights so “we can get it back for the tick” BS that goes on now. Even if situations do happen like you’re talking about, that will only amount to 1 insignificant point.

the kills and deaths totals are not equal, there are errors in the data. assuming its close to accurate like +-10% thats enough to see a trend. I checked the 3 MUs you mentioned and only NSP and Mag have +1.00 ratios
so to play this out, ppk would only help 2 servers out of 24. statistically ppk will not benefit the majority. further more, mid week variations dont mean anything, just the final score is counted. it will play to the statistical average again.

your criteria is sound but your idea is not original. I suggested an almost identical concept on similar thread, but like 4 – 6hr games instead.

what I mean is that we joined guilds and made friends based on the mechanics of wvw. for example anet takes away the arrow cart and our defense groups disband. now the defense groups are gone the scout network cant justify their time sitting around in towers.
take this a step further, now that structures auto upgrade those tireless souls who walked yaks will go away. I know on my server we had pairs of players who would do this. maybe they will find something else to do together, maybe their friendship was based on necessity.
wvw will still exist after but you might not recognize it.

another stat site I have been studying, particularly the worlds section where its giving a count of active wvw guilds. I thought to calculate how full a server is by number of guilds.
neither method will be exact ofc but it can give rough estimate of population size
