Turret engis have been broken for a long time at the PUG level. In high end games, they are really not much of an issue.

The problem is that 95% of the game is PUG. Think about it. All hot join, and I’d bet at least 85% of unranked and ranked queue does not include a full premade team. Premades who can communicate well destroy a turret engi.

That’s why the spec is considered broken. It needs to be fixed.

That said, it isn’t the only engi spec that is OP. The other spec IS viable at top end play and still wrecks at the PUG level as well. That’s a bigger issue.

I hear all the people here says that be forced to get raid gear to compete yet these are the same people telling us that you don’t need ascended, the double standard and stupidity is real.

Because in this game, difference between full exotic set + weapons and ascended set + weapons is ~10% in stats overall.
Meanwhile you’re trying to compare it to other games where the gap between standard gear(exotic) and top gear(ascended) is enormous to the point, that getting top gear is a must and top priority, because without it, majority of end game content along with further progression is inaccessible.

Yep.
But I don’t call those stuff issues.
Of course, those builds are annoying if it comes to damage mobility or sustain.
But, to be frank.
Those builds in all aspects require player being skilled in handling that build and knowledge about other classes and builds mechanics.
I’ve seen countless people on those builds, and I’ve met only few per each class that were really good in handling those builds in 1v1 without even using the environment for it.

So, sorry to people who believe otherwise, but many many people proved that each build is good if played well. There is no build that makes you perma invincible and there is always a trick or two against every build.

I would rather deal with Turret spam than Condition Engineer’s, D/D ele’s and Shoutbow Warriors any day. It’s rather humorous to see people complain about a spec that can be beaten with relative ease compared to the three I just mentioned.

From my PoV.
Condi engi – gotta keep attention what he throws and calculate what you can facetank and what to dodge. Underestimated is annoying and can wipe a team.
D/D ele – damage isn’t that great unless will finish stacking might, but sustain, condition cleanse and heal spikes are very annoying. Vigor spam, so timing high damage skills is more difficult. Aaand annoying mobility, where they always can just flee away.
Shoutbow war – annoying sustain and health regen.

Turret Engi? – damage pressure and he’ll die, w/o even destroying turrets. 2OP2015.

Germany is possibly the worst country in whole EU when it comes to internet. Rather slow internet, technical disturbances, more than 60% of Youtube blocked etc. Another problem is that a single provider basically has a monopoly on the whole internet infrastructure, so that other providers are basically forced to rent their lines. The ones that do own their own, are too local, so they usually can’t compete on a country level. It’s getting better, but we just need ten times longer than any other country when it comes to internet.

Its common courtesy to not complain about seemingly little disturbances in here, therefore people usually just suck it up. Sueing companies is not an option because of our bureaucracy. We’re also not the US, where you can sue anybody for anything. Of course you could always change your provider, but chances are high that you’ll end up with the very same connection, just under a different company.

TLDR: Our internet freaking sucks.

Well, I’m from Poland.
Whole internet infrastructure is basically TP S.A.(atm Orange, since it bought TP).
The only provider who’s creating it’s own infrastructure and connect cables with other countries is UPC.
Fibers are dragged by both through bigger towns and cities.
Small towns have low speeds, and some villages, but many in my opinion, to connect to internet, can only use Satellite one, because neither UPC and Orange want to make infrastructure there, and what’s more funny, they sometimes have a problem to even drag a 50m cable to your house.
Lately some independent provider – MultiPlay – started making it’s own infrastructure, and began building it from small villages up to cities.
So it’s a reversal method than what majority does.
But it does work, due to way too high amount of providers in cities and bigger towns.

I worked myself as a Dispatcher for technical support for telecommunication infrastructures.
The idiocy level behind that monopoly business and procedures to make really small crap is waaaay too high.
For example.
There was a place between one town to another, where every single week, there were guys stealing ~100m of cable(copper).
Infrastructure owner refuse to set a fiber cable, because copper is cheaper and they don’t care that we have to send technicians with cables there sometimes even twice a week.
Well, even technicians were raging, and most of them quit the job, due to problems Orange give.
For example, technician know that client’s port is suspended. So it only needs a restart on it. He can’t do that, because before he does it, he needs to go through roughly for hundreds of stupid procedures which only consume precious time, and have nothing to do with security, safety or whatever else.
If those procedures wouldn’t be placed, 1 technician in the same time frame, would eliminate around 3 damaged places, including driving there.

Its probably the backbone in Frankfurt that is clogged during primetime, because of all the internet traffic (imagine it like a huge jam). Frankfurt has the biggest internet backbone in the world. Its also the most used routing point and therefore produces the highest traffic (roughly 480 Provider / 50 Nations use it). I live somewhat close to Frankfurt and have been experiencing these problems for about 3 years already. Some servers (mostly those located in/routing through Frankfurt) will just timeout randomly or give you ridiculous high latencys resulting in lags timeouts and dc’s. Theres not much you can do besides locating servers in less accessed areas/datacenters or ISP’s not routing through Frankfurt (which is unlikely). EU datacenters, specifically Frankfurt just can’t deal with all the traffic that is produced, therefore people are lagging.

It can deal with it, but it needs to be upgraded.
Problem through infrastructure owners in Germany, is that they give no kitten about it. If something get fried, then they will not fix it or replace it for next couple of months at least.
It’s a proof how greedy they are.
Stupid belief that something like internet infrastructure once built can operate for tens of years without any upgrades or maintenances.

Change the one trait to apply torment when you blind instead of chill. Introduce another trait to apply the chill when you vuln a target.

A well is useful to condi builds.

I’m more for Well of Torments.

And could add Torment on Staff Auto attack.
Doubt it’ll be overpowered, due to projectile being big, slow and in straight line.

I paid for a game and connectivity issue that became even more frequent with Megaserver update hasn’t been fixed even a bit.

I’m rather thinking what did make the last push.
So far from opening post, looks like, you have behaved like a kitten and people put you on your ignore list. Looks like, majority of the content you’d like to run, seems to be less accessible due to lack of people who would want to go with you, and finally complete randoms sometimes tend to fail and make it a wasted time.
Hence, I find it rather funny to the point that people are very sensitive to internet comments, either filled with sarcasm or pure joke or even a flame. So the outcome is, that they’ll block you, because your PoV, even if it’s harsh, doesn’t match theirs.
I have participated, and still do in many other forums with different communities, but Gw2 is kind of special case.
I am myself quite surprised that people on the forum and in game are very much sensitive to any kind of negative comment, either in polite or harsh way.
Demand for one to elaborate is high, otherwise it’s treated as insult which end with report and block list.
So, that’s why I have mixed feelings, since it’s hard for me to imagine the level of rants that happened. Having a little view on it, can also allow to grade those “victims?” if they were over sensitive or whatever else.

One thing is 10/10 valid.
Raging mindlessly with pressed Shift key, doesn’t do magic.
And that happen a lot.

It seems like us poor germans are being hit the hardest here. After a couple of mails with customer support I was asked to contact my ISP.
The PingPlotter on the other hand showed me that everything was fine until the signal reached the Frankfurt server.

Germans problem is that your ISPs give no kitten about problems.
And Telia is #1 I give no kitten about anything except dough.

Haven’t seen any hackers in Gw2.
