5min for killing a champ solo which not only hit like a truck, also CC and heals up or stealth.
100% Hero Point in World Completion pre-hot made it like ~50% of Elite spec, and now it’s gonna take few days till finish it up for solo players, because they need to group up for those stuff.
Hero Points where NPC standing to it says “You’re not worthy” and implies that you should come later when you prolly get better masteries – rofl.
Anet, you were told many times – don’t use NCSoft cards.
Yet just like always you never listen to customers.
People are choking with this system and you believe people have fun – so you’ll state it in the end as well.
Instead of locking us out this way from Elite Specialization, you should rather focus on making more masteries for wider content.
Why not making Masteries for PvP players who are ranked 80?
Such that give access to various NPCs with various good etc?
Why not making a special Masteries for WvW?
Like buffing surrounding ally NPCs – like Dolly Event etc.

It’s quite disturbing that for over 6 months you’re unable to fix this and it’s kinda gamebreaking as well.

Holding points involves fighting off players that come to capture those points, as well as defeating players currently occupying a point.
Both of those situations require battle.

Thief can run from one point to another in circles(even lord if needed), caping points and so on.
Guardians for example can sit on point and tank for as long as they can.
I already had such matches, where enemy team was rekting my team pvp wise, but because my teammates were sitting on point for however long they could, we still won 500/350.
Same things happen in ESL tournaments.
Arenas are about capping and holding points for however long you can and that’s the key to win, not fighting, chasing and stomping.
In WvW on the other hand, thieves shine if played well.
Really? I guess in GvGs. In pugs you are one of the most useless classes and while roaming, you’ve got one option: d/p and stealth long enough to run away from any other roamer with a similar skill lvl…oh I forgot about perma stealth condi trapper! xD
You would be surprised.
In organized raids, a good thief is a very strong card, because disabling enemy’s Necro or Ele even for 3 sec gives a window for your Raid to push hard, because there is less damage to mitigate.
If it comes to roaming, another surprise.
There are a lot of Thieves running builds which have no place in Arena.
D/P, D/D, P/D, S/P, S/D, Venom.
Even Thief Trapper can be found in WvW.
Same thing is about every single other class.
What’s more, due to greater and better stat distribution, people aren’t as squishy as in Arena.
I wrote couple of times already, that Anet rekt PvP Arena mode, and it’s their fault the state it is by now.
Because even year ago, we had greater population, more experienced population and more enjoyable time in PvP than it is now.
I’m not against changes, but I’m against changes that cripple and show middle finger to players.

Everyone thinks thieves ask to be Op in 1v1. All thieves ask for is to actually have some chance vs some classes. Right now as thief gameplay: there is enemy? Run away.
People don’t do pvp to spend entire match running away. Players pvp to experience play vs player COMBAT which developers decided to deny to thieves.
Once HoT comes out, revs will completely shuit down thieves and no sb5 in the world will keep them in pvp. Best part, according to votes on reddit, this class was rated worst in EVERY area of this game.
Yes, thief is playable if you are REALLLLLYYYY good at it and you have REALLLY good team that you can rely on. They don’t have you as thief to help them, they have you as a pet that can help to increase the score difference. That is all. As thief you actually have close to no influence on match outcome if your team is not destroying enemy team already. You think this is fun? Do you really think it is fun to be a worthless pet?
There is one wrong thing in your post which kinda breaks your post whole.
PvP Arenas aren’t about pvping – they’re about holding points for as long as possible.
You don’t have to kill or engage in battle even once, as long as you’ll cap points.
In WvW on the other hand, thieves shine if played well.

And what kind of counterplay for example Necromancer has against Thief, stealthing every 3 seconds with ability to teleport god knows where?
There is no indicator for hitting stealthed player = 0 counterplay for almost all classes.
Or perhaps mindlessly with crossed fingers dropping aoes everywhere around is a kind of counterplay to it?
Even blind spam on D/P is less cheesy than stealth spamming and Backstabing all the time.

You have Breakdown system already to list skills and damage inflicted by them.
But replay? Use some application, record your matches and afterwards analyze them.
Since there are hundreds of such apps out there, then I see no reason to even implement something like that in game.
2k Armor is like double layer paper.
Player who can withstand the fight against 3 other barely taking damage?
Can be done for example by Cleric Guardian, but whatever.
You lack knowledge and experience regarding Class mechanics and builds.
Thief already has a high sustain and has a lot of defensive abilities.
Just ‘cause it requires skilled player for it, doesn’t mean there is a need to buff it further to fit within bads cap.

Both maxed at the same time yes because vuln gets cleansed but reaper, when built right ,is one of if not the fastest class at generating might on self in the game. Also I wouldn’t day it’s the weakest class in a 1v1 on unter at all.
You forgot to add – without blasts and fields.
Plus, 90% of people neglect cleansing Vulnerability and leave it, because you know gotta save it for – bleed, torment or burn.

Thanks for the kind words friend but I’m mediocre at best. The d/d ele outsustained the reaper. I must note that it fought a gs reaper so I guess he’s a power build and d/d eles beat every power build necros. If they pop Lich, we just run away and come back when it’s over.

I for the other hand, don’t use DS skills to kill celeddele at all, and they hardly bring me down to half.
You know why?
Because celeddele is the most predictable build and class from all.
What I mostly do – bait condi cleanse → grab all burn stacks, send to Ele and watch him getting downed.
Of course it doesn’t work in wvw, because they often disengage and use necro’s mobility problem, but still, it’s not like killing them needs some kewl skills as necro.
Also, I dunno why you’re saying that you fought GS Necro and outsustained it.
GS in 1v1 is a terrible weapon for necromancer.
Perhaps it would work as replacement for Staff, depending how one does handle Necro, what he want to achieve and thingie with sending conditions.
But GS as primary dps weapon?

Gw2 is a funny game.

EoTM does nothing to affect WvW scores.
Devs have already said, over and over and OVER again, that bodies in EoTM do NOT count toward the active WvW population.
It’s written in War window under EotM join button.
Progress made in the Edge of the Mists does not count toward the Mist War score.
So there is no need to even ask search/ask for dev statement.
Its ridiculous to defend burning guardians at the moment imo.

Ofc and i bring cond removal but dont you find the irony into suggesting a player keeping any active cond removal for the moment they face a burning guardian. Or picking a bunch of cond removal skills, traits, sigils and runes just to be prepared to fight a guardian that will apply you 14 stack of burning the moment he takes a glimpse at you..

As Necromancer with double Plague Signet – I see nothing wrong with Burn Guardians, Elementalists. Torchtrap Rangers or Burnbow Warriors.
Hence, I request increase in damage output for Burn.
So those silly beings can die faster.
Nerco is the worst 1v1 class any class can counter it..hell even reaper sucks for 1v1 but weird enough nerco/reaper shine in 1vX.
Reaper will be a free kill and will have barely any damage.
Not like perma 25 Might and 25 Vulnerability on enemy will be significant for damage enough to kill anyone.

necro doesnt have range weapon – staff
so thief with SB and burst at the right moment with blind spamming can counter it
ranger LB etc..the main idea for the necro is they are good point holder with DS second health pool. so if help comes in time it will be hard for you to take them
if you going melee than go warrior with lots of cc. but other than that dont or spam blind

power well—— this build is extremely strong when fighting on point
power well bunker——this is the bunker version of power well build
standard powe nerco——low sustain but high burst in dsall the build have common weakeness
1. Range….just cc and range by the time they reach you half hp gone
2. 0 disengage ability—— the only class tht have 0 disengage skill
3. Spike damage———nerco is bad against spike damage cause they don’t have block, etc
4. Stability——-class that have near to 0 stability
Stun break and Stability every 7 sec is niche on Necro.
I’m sure Hammerbads love it.

I don’t play trapper build and not many people in wvw do either in T1/2 anyway.
Met Trapper thief 2 days ago and that’s what I noticed.
Sound isn’t 3D so it’s bothersome, but spotted little dust popup when thief in stealth was setting traps.
So either I could avoid them or grab them all and Plague Signet thief after :DDDDD
Anyway, there are lot of sound bugs…………would be nice if Anet would fix them on HoT release.

Dunno about Rangers.
Thieves have little dust animation and trap setting sound even when stealthed.
In 1v1 it’s spottable and if you focus you’ll follow up.
But in Xv1 scenario – forget it xD
Ok, Trapper Rune will maybe not be a problem for higher PvP. But for SoloQ and even lower Tier PvP this Rune will destroy alot of fun. All the Condi Specs are annoying like hell allready. No need to make it more annoying.
To Keep Dire and Perplexity out of PvP is good. No need to buff Condi Mesmer.
All this started with the Idea of adding more Amuletts and now we get more Runes and other Crap.
Higher MMR PvP is not that much different. There is absolutely no way to know where the guy could be in stealth with superspeed, the vector of search is simply too wide. And in High MMR, we’ll surely have some “innovative cheesers” managing the traps to fit against High MMR.
High MMR are not gods, guessing where are the traps is tiresome and very annoying. Simply said, hitting 1 trap can result death.
Walk in invisible thing —->Knock-up —--> Aids —-> Binding roots —->RIP (What a nice play pattern.)
It’s not about guessing.
Traps have animation and release sound upon placement.
Thing is, you have to pay attention to floor more often.
If Burn was op as you say, then I’m sure Anet would nerf it.
Just like they did nerf Dhuumfire in past.
More and more engineers are taking the reveal trait in tools, also Heralds will get a reveal skill they can’t un-equip even if they want to, and it has ~20 sec cd.
No surprise, because PvP arenas are small anyway.
But WvW wise? Where revealed is 3 sec unlike in PvP?
And Mobility is needed even more than in PvP?
Well, it shows that Anet’s approach isn’t good anyway.
And knowing them, more Forced Reveal skills/traits will come with a choice where you have to give up on something good.
Like I said before – we need an indicator when we hit stealthed players/npcs.
also i think ppl forget about reveal trap/mechanism which will be add soon
guardian can reveal, engi can ranger can. so more stealth will bring more reveal tactics to the game
also p/p thieves may use the trapper runes and gain stealth abilities
and guardian with traps can be intresting to see

So far no reveal skill is being used neither in PvP nor WvW for a single reason – you have to sacrifice important skill for that – mostly survival one like stun break, condi removal etc.
If Anet won’t rework Revealed system and properly adjust it to current skills, then it’s a no go.
MMR is working.
Just play right class with right build.

If most of the players are custom arena players then they’re not contributing to rank/unranked. Therefore losing them doesn’t matter.
Filling the pvp lobby with people standing around not contributing to ranked play isn’t a reason to keep rewards for custom arenas.
So, first Anet makes them leave Ranked/Unranked, makes them move to Custom Arenas and now they should be removed entirely?
Cool logic.
But on the other hand, yes, it would be great if Anet did this.
I would watch with pleasure the downfall of PvP Arena and Gw2 eSport caused by ignorance from dev team.
Remove PvP dailies and rewards from Custom arenas.
So only ESL players will be present in HotM and that PvP thing.

Let’s not deny that ~80% of population in HotM is Custom arena Daily/Rank farm based.
Let’s also not deny the fact that Ranked and Unranked had much higher playerbase in the past because PvP was actually fun unlike now.

So only ESL players will be present in HotM and that PvP thing.

I play a lot of burning condi classes and a necro, and I still think burning is ridiculous. It is by far the most damaging condition in the game and it is way too accessible. They almost INSTANTANEOUSLY nerfed necro because dhumfire could apply 8-10 stacks of burning from various sources, and yet… burn guard, burn engi, and hell even a kittenty condi ele can apply 15-20 stacks with ease. Don’t defend the condition, there is literally NO REASON for it to be 3-4 times the damage of bleed… every other condition is based on bleed damage, torment bleed damage at rest 2x bleed while moving and it is much harder to stack. Confusion, 1x bleed, 2x while casting…. you don’t see a pastern here? Burning 4x bleed but, requires no attribute to do extra damage, it is literally just superior, and in the case of several classes easier to stack. Anyone that defends it does not care about the actual balance of the game and it just looking for cheese wins.
What if I told you, that bleed, torment and poison are fodder based on Burn and their purpose is to cover Burn from Condition Cleansing?

You know, trying to make it more fair instead of leaving out PvP players that have no desire to PvE?
