i think it silly that Mist form can trigger traps.(or ground trigger skills) and still be unaffected by them. i think this should be changed to where they can not trigger the trap well in that status.

it a mech flaw of guild war 2 all ranged attack suffer from same problem.
this idea is silly take 4 thief run around with shadow refuge aoeing them 12 seconds of invulnerability well they just shoot posion field on a hole zerg. there nothing you can do about it. atlest with a stealth in theif you can make a logical guess to where he going if you guess right the thief auto dead or has to run away both being a win for you.
What if unload didn’t have a fixed initiative cost, and instead was a channel you hold down, eating one INI every two shots and gaining damage the longer you hold it down?

i just feel like dual pistol lack a punch to the build need a bit more burst flexibly. when you com-pair it to any other thief play style just does not have a nice flow with it. maybe 1200 range would help make it more viable but i think in the end it just dual pistol does not have enough damage output to make it worth playing.
maybe we could look at this from a different view. we could have skill combo with unload. call it rapid unload. you could have x remaining shot cost 1/2 initiative each remaining shot raising attack speed by 50%.
so the formula work such as 4 shot fired 4 remaining trigger rapid unload costing extra 2 initiative. (if your meter drop to 0 stop rapid unload effect)
it would raise dual pistol burst with out changing anything really. using more initiative faster attack i do not think would be op thief can only regen initiative so fast.
just more thoughts on the subject
i would like to see more Dual Pistol build so this trait based around that idea. Grand master trait for Deadly arts raising Unload hits by 4 keeping same cast animation time so unload would feel like it has a bit more of a punch to it.

take 2 warrior 2 ele 1 thief or mesmer. k so what you do go 2 warrior go whirl then you have your 2 ele move forward summen 2 fiery gs ontop of warrior do 4x whirl well the mesmer stacking confusion stack or thief just staying in cloak finshing everyone off.
i think hide in the shadow is the best healing skill. it depend on your build of course and traits. i like to run hide in the shadow + roll for initiative stun break. that more or less a catch all combo.

the way you counter a thief is you wait for him to uncloak by either accepting a hit or waiting for him to uncloak have your party just cc lock him when he try to all cloak skills have a cast bar you can skill lock them with correctly timed CC.

i am not fully sure if this is related to guild war 2 but i never had this problem before in 8 months i played the game. for past 4 hours it been nonstop disconnecting me from the internet reconnecting a second later every time i try to sign on to guild war 2. and i am just not sure what i should do any help would be great
scorpion wire is not a useful utility always have running. however if your good player like some people they will flip to it when they need it such as pulling people off a wall in World vs World where your protected by your allies making that utility fine because your not likely to need a stun break. another good place is have it running when your at a stand still between 2 zerg because a thief should always be trying to find opening well he searching for that opening he can be pulling people who over extend.
over all scorpion wire is a game changing skill if used right
i noticed when you “detonate cluster” it no longer class as a blast finisher. is this a bug or ? is the skill meant to work this way?

Short bow = infiltrator arrow > weapon swap d/d > CnD >
Dagger Dagger = Heart seaker > CnD
Sword dagger = Infiltrator Strike > CnD > weapon swap d/d > bs
Dagger pistol = Black powder > Heart seaker > walk up to them engage
= Shdow Shot > weapon swap d/d > CnD
Pistol dagger = no engage skill
pistol pistol = no engage skill
Utility engage skills = Steal / Infiltrator Signet / shadow step / shadow trap
all 4 utility can channel a skill well triggering a utility to teleport on top of target.
Steal can fail if you are out of range as something to note.
What if there was a trait that gave .5 second chill each time you stack vulnerability on a foe.

This skill need to be changed in WvW to having Line of Sight. It is currently Over power mech being able to take out siege or players with out any line of sight.
this is not about balancing or anything like that. just a broken mech that really need to be fixed. i am sure in Anet view. they do not class this as a bug so i am writing it in suggestion
d/p is easy to punish you just head shot(or any daze / stun skill) them when they go for the heart seeker and 9 meter is gone trying to cloak

What if there was a grand master trait that lower Pistol skills cost by 1 would that break the class ?
thief do not need hp they need faster dodge :P out play your target
let take a look at head shot yes it can daze your target stop 3-4 cast at most"if your not spec in to any meter regen" you done a total of roughly 1.5k-3k dmg. is that really useful use of your hole meter probably not….
if you added 1 second delay between cast. it probably would not even be that noticed because a lot of player do not cast with in 1 second of another in turn probably lead to more skill of the other player being intrupted just to the way it would time out.
when i run head shot as a support to deal with say “dd ele” i alway go 4 1 4 1 4 1 that a 1/2 second cast inbetween headshots.
i was not trying to suggest adding a coloring system would make you a better commander. i just thought it make it easier for viewing more commander on the map
. just have like a new color unlock every 10 levels then you just flip threw them.
that is one of the best trait in the game.

What’s the advantage of running D/P and D/D? As opposed to D/D and a ranged set.
d/p allow you heart seeker dealing dmg on top of blinding them well cloaking in to bs well d/d give you extra dodge skill.
Major different between the 2 is d/p cost 9 but give a blind to cloak well D/D cost 6 to cloak give no special bonus.
D/P is punish by it own attack heart seeker alway travel at you to your target. ( unless thief smart untarget them every time he cloak knowing he will be punished – punish is by stepping out of range of heart seeker not getting effected by the blind so you can hit him right in front of you)
second way to hard punish D/P is to daze or stun them right at heart seeker moment costing him 9 meter no cloak. then thief will not be able to redo that combo for atlest another 4 second.
D/D is punished by dodging when you see CnD animation going threw.
same thing apply to CnD since it has such a long cast time if you double punish the 2 try to CnD thief be stuck on a 3 seconds awkward moment where he cant do anything.
mostly come down to play style i hope that answer your question. i dont know if you care about how it punished but i thought that was more interesting telling you then just saying it give you a blind. : )

i would like an option to offset my non-targeting cross hair from my camera angle. well it really easy to aim with the way it is. i cant see anything i doing if i am force to switch to non-targeting for ranged attacks.
i mean i don’t mind having 5 – 10 commander on the map but when i view my mini map and if everything was color coded i could react a lot faster then trying open up my map well i am in combat trying to figure out where the commander i need to head to is.
because let face it a lot of commander use this line" BUILD ON ME !?" well that useful to them… it really useless to sever. but if they said "build on red " your like Oh alright he over there on my mini map i am on on it. with out being forced to open my map.
I think it would be cool if Commander tag color changed depending on your rank

i just had a quick question about ranger i only started playing it other day. i was looking at the auto attack and final attack “pounce – leap at your foe, striking them. your pet gains might.”
my question is why is this attack not a leap finisher ? i could see s/d being super viable build if it was?

i would like siege weapons to be changed from soul bound to anyone can pick it up. everyone knows you can weapon swap to trade siege i reported this over 4 months ago so i am guessing it was not a bug.(if i am wrong feel fine to close this topic anet)
but reason i would like siege weapon changed is because i plan on starting a guild the way i math out numbers i like start making up to 600 superior siege weapons a week it would be much easier to control that if i could see it all in the guild bank.

i do not mind the idea of ranking showing up but i rather it was something unlock in tittles not just another name add on to my tag.
currently Alpha Siege Golem has Shield Bubble – Engage the suit’s shield bubble to block projectiles. that skill really cool.
Omega Golam has exact same shield. i thought it would be cool if it was changed to a giant reflect wall. like the mesmer shield. And no it would not reflect siege weapons back. it would just block them. but player that used ranged attack would get reflected.

i fully support the idea of S/P being buff i don’t understand why it nerf to begin with it such a garbage attack. no offence to anyone that play S/P but attack that flashy spin my pistol someone well everyone else kitten your hp. just seem odd to me lol.

this patch was fine it change nothing that game breaking to a thief. extra second on reveal is not that big of a deal. i WvW almost 10 hour a day i never had a problem with cloaking honestly if your cloaking every 3 seconds your wasting to much meter.

1 extra second of reveal is a good change it help newer player learn how to punish thief. that choose to not have high meter regen. but really if we talking about pvp here you just be baiting out there dodge right at the end there a frame trap you can CnD on it it unavoidable hit.
best way to know who to target is to dagger storm for 3 seconds watch everyone hp bar. you can judge everyone gear in first few hits know who to target.
