balance comes in pvp first, then WvW..and then pve, and because of this..alot of sklls/traits/stats are useless in pve. Without a major AI/mob overall, this won’t be changing any time soon.

Don’t pick based on population. They’re both well populated, pick the one close to you, because of ping/lag.

It’s not too late, very easy to catch up in this game, in terms of gear/leveling.

Choosing server, is only for WvW.
megaserver, basically means everybody shares the same maps, regardless of server. (this means there are few empty zones..as with all the servers combined, there’s bound to be someone there.)
[It does not combine EU/NA ]

Are you actually meant to be able to stack like that ooc, is it sort of a bug they haven’t got round to fixing?

I’m just curious, it seems ‘wrong’ somehow to stack ooc and then enter combat. (I do it on my ele..it just doesn’t seem entirely intended.)

I’ve never bothered stacking between water though, as water is something I generally avoid xD

My main classes are necro & ele.

Necro is my favourite class to play and currently the only class i take in to fractals. I can play it well, I also pvp with necro, as again it’s the class I play best.
It’s the first class I picked and I had no intention of leveling other classes at the time.

I chose it because on some magazine that described class difficulty it was considered an inbetweener, easier than thief harder than guardian. (I had thought of choosing thief, but being new to mmo I wanted something considered “easy”….but heavies look boring to me xD…..)

I levelled an ele because it’s much easier/quicker to pug with. So my ele is my dungeon runner.

I’ve levelled a mesmer just for jp’s.

well, if you did buy them with gems, try contacting support, though you’re probably a bit late and should have contacted when the patch came in.

Agree. Another solution would be to introduce a proper gear bag.

It would be a bag where only accountbound/soulbound gear gets placed in it. Or only gear can be placed in the gear bag if you unequip it or place it directly in the bag yourself (prevents acc bound exotic drops etc from cluttering the gear bag). Previously i used exotic fractal bags to try and do this but with ascended gear it no longer works. :/

I think I can honestly say, probably not. That would mean I would have to start farming and doing The Ruined City of Arah Dungeon (still have not done ANY dungeons) so I don’t see that happening.

Don’t have to dungeons anymore with the pvp reward tracks.

I’m not even a fan of pvp, but am doing it for the arah reward track, because my guild doesn’t do arah frequently and setting an lfg with other n00bs for it, probably not a good idea XD.

I have a mesmer called “Dust mesmer” because it lives at the end of a jp, collecting dust.

If they did this, and limited it to ascended armour.

It would give ascended armour a real use/advantage other than just needing it for fractals.
ascended would be worth crafting for the majority of people. I don’t think anet should do it for every armour type, but ascended is a good idea.

Also don’t limit this to legendary weapons, again, ascended weapons.

What I enjoy most in game?
fractals, jp’s, cool armour for my characters(something I’m not working on atm, because I’m working on ascended T_T. ..for the infusion slots.. ). I also chat to friends in game and do LS stuff and just idk..
playing the game, for the game. (oh and I do chase mini;s now XD..)

This would also help out the players that originally had 2 of the same legendary when the wardrobe patch came out. On the bad side, people could buy a leg, equip, then resell and keep the skin. Boom, legendaries are less legendary than they currently are.

The turrets then didnt have a target, this led to a resulting bonewall, ..but eventually he’d be beaten in his vanished state all the same..

Today teq was beaten with over 7min on the clock.
I hate to suggest hp buffs..but teq probably should have one now.
We hardly needed turrets after first defence phase. he didn’t leave his vulnerable phase once!

also noticed I didn’t read your post correctly. (I’m tired XD.) Yeah, it was fairly frequent it would happen. And it was more, teq got stealth ability. He must’ve eaten a harpy(feather) before the fight :P

The one thing I think is absolutely ridiculous is this whole unlocking traits thing. Some of the things you have to do are outrageous… and make no sense at all. Autotool Installation, for example, has to be unlocked with a level 70 quest. You get the level for that trait at level 48….
This update ruins the character training experience. You literally have no traits because almost none of them can be locked anywhere near easily. You have to kill the Karka Queen for some traits… how is a new player or someone who doesn’t have a huge group going to ever do that?
The buying prices are also outrageous. All that gold for a single trait?? And what is with the skill point cost? I want to spend my skill points on SKILLS. That’s why they’re called skill points. Not traits.
I feel bad for any new player that has to go through this… they probably won’t get any traits long after they’re level 80.

Please reconsider this change. At least make the unlocking system more logical and possible for newer players. And without a doubt lower that rip off cost of these traits -_-

You’ll get loads of skill scrolls as you play, they drop from champs and other places.
A level 80 can keep gaining skill points too.

For example I went zerk for my necro, than changed my mind..would’ve been nice to pass that exotic gear to my ele and not have to buy it again. (dungeon tokens so it’s not like it was expensive..but it’d be a nice qol feature, particularly useful for those who level alts )

How is this bad? Levelling is so fast in this game that you can easily get to 80 and not have a clue.

The problem is that, with this trait system.. you’re going to get to lv80 and know even less about your class!

No – the problem was – before you could level your character to 80 and not understand how the trait system works. It was a crap shoot and people got stuck with using builds off of the interweb without understanding the synergies between traits. Now you can initially pick and choose what you want to use and unlock the rest at your leisure.

I’m not against the hunting of traits.

I just think it should be possible to actually experiment with these before 80. So that you can understand your class better when you hit level cap.

As it is, they’re still going to look up builds and go “guess I should hunt for those”… but to hit 80 and not have any way of knowing/using traits that are often crucial to a build.
People should know about their traits and be able to hunt./use ALL of them before they hit 80.

The 250 badges was never designed as an alternative method of getting the Gift of Heroes. It was an additional cost that was removed. This was mentioned in a livestream.

As already said, it’s for people who can’t afford a mistforge weapon but wish to get a hero’s weapon now and to upgrade it later for a small cost. Not necesarily only that though, what about those who wish to follow a different path (i.e. buy 4 hero weapons now to upgrade later).

This make absolutely no sense.

Is there an alternative way to get the hero weapons?
Because atm, its 100(hero) + 200(gift) =300,..if you can already afford that, you can afford a mistforged weapon o0.

I don’t understand how 9pm can be far too late, at least not for the majority of players. There is no way to accommodate everyone’s schedule. They changed the times after receiving a lot of feedback, especially from Europe. On top of that the hardcore World Bosses spawn six times instead of three. Personally, the developers couldn’t do any better without being under someone’s feet.

Maybe it’s not too late for you…..

This way it won’t be “excellent timing for some, and terrible for others.” It’ll give everyone a chance at it, at different weeks.

tbh, I’d be happier if anet rotated the world boss spawns every 2 weeks.
That way it’ll sort off be aff/on for everyone, some weeks better/some worse..rather than always worse for some, and always better for others.

As a person who does Tequatl almost daily I’d say that it’s going to be the same. In my observation, the map was usually getting filled up with people after Karka Queen – which means that people were already there, and yes, you usually get many people at Karka.

Is it convenient? Maybe, maybe not, depends on personal schedule. But then again, 2 months ago people were crying about the schedule, now other people would probably complain about this one. You can’t please everyone.

They could by making it rotate every 2 weeks.

I do teq by jumping into map 30-40min early. I almost always get into an organised map, and often get a turret(its what I like).

I often jump in and then go grab some food or clean the house a bit. So I’m camping, but I’m not doing nothing.
You could study while you wait.

It is important to get to the event early, quite a bit early. for 2 reasons.
1. So that people can be organised into the various groups.
2. because you’ll get into a map with other like minded people who really want to beat teq.

teq isn’t hard.
and it doesn’t require a large guild.

It does require being in the map early.

I’m talking about when you wait for the wind to stop and then when you jump, you and anyone close, only make it half way and fall to your death.
I only see this when I’m the leader or near to it.
Don’t you see those blasts of wind all through the event? They only seem to have effect when your doing the last three jumps.
If it’s something else, it doesn’t matter to me, because I make a point of starting it several minutes late now.

I think you’re having skill lag and it’s only more noticeable to you when you’re in first because. 1.It’s more frustrating, 2. there’s often alot of people around/just behind and that slows down frame rates.

Guess I was throwing a bunch of stuff in there, when I really and wanted to see if anyone else noticed how if you are in the lead, the elemental spirits just hound you till you fail. It doesn’t matter which skill is used when a spirit blows you sideways, they fail and you die.
So a race would imply everyone has an equal chance to win, but if you get good at it, your not treated equal.
A race would provide rewards based on how we place, however you can start when others have finished and still be rewarded the same.

Not saying it’s not fun, just that starting 2 minutes after everyone else makes it a lot easier without all those spirit effects.

What elemental spirit? Do you mean the wind that blows once you get to the lightning jumps? If so, all you have to do there is wait for the wind to stop blowing and then jump.

I’d love it if they remove everything from the collection tabs that can no longer be gained either in-game or via TP, or more accurately remove it from those of us who don’t have and probably never will have them. At the very least it would provide me a since of progress, empty spaces would be things to achieve and not reminders of what will never ever ever be.

The skills can and do sometimes lag,
particularly lighting pull, this can cause both and over or under reaching when activated.

This was very annoying at the beginning of the festival for me, but now not so much.

I generally don’t make alot. I can spend quite a bit of time potaling people to JP’s. Or just walking around maps. And chatting.

I make anywhere between 0g(well, I do make some copper from the jp’s XD..) &10g a day. depending on what I do.
Lately doing key farming and crafting so I’m making nothing, just spending >.<

I like teq as it is, it is one of the only bosses I really enjoy, but then…I love the turrets ^^. (also, I think teqs loot is pretty decent for the time involved, ..in general, I have been really unlucky at times T_T… )
