Certainly does make the unlimited gathering tools alluring, but the cost to convenience is just kind of of silly. And this particular one just seems…skeevy.
What would be fantastic, is if you slot an unlimited gathering tool, all your alts could use it. None of this place in bank, swap, place in bank, swap.
THEN, it would be totally worth 1000g.

I don’t know what others are saying but so far I had 2 Tequatl hoardes dropped when I buffed my MF to around 250%. I also got 2 other ascended chest at tequatl when I was buffed.
And no, I don’t kill Tequatl every day.
I get better loot from teq the less I fight him.
Could it be that, more than mf?
I generally get exotic loot from him, and have got teq’s hoard. (highest mf would’ve been 150%…don’t think it was higher than that, as woithout boosters I’m at 124%atm. )
Hey thanks for that and another few questions if I can about crafting, is there some sort of quest that will introduce you to it and show you how to craft or do you have to figure that out and I started with I think 15 salvage kits are they expensive and should I buy more/where do I buy more if I should?

no quest introduces crafting, just go up to the crafting vendors and register a craft.
You can hold 2 at any time, if you want to change to others that you’re not holding, that will cost a few silver, relative to the crafting level.
The basic salvage kit is all you really need, master kits for salvaging rares(at lv68 + for ecto’s ….don’t need to worry about that right now though.)
You don’t have to do pvp at all, if you don’t want them.
There’s is a little mapping for 100% map completion, to be done WvW, but alot of people lag there as it’s large scale group content, so you’re dine xP.
You can get gear from drops, probably enough while you’re leveling, but you can buy it as you level if you want, it isn’t expensive. It’s up to yourself.

Generally every class will carry the few viable weapons they have, either on them or in inventory.
You can get just about anything with gold, so feel free to sell everything on the tp, until you decide what gear you want to craft.
Alternatively you can work on crafts as you’re leveling.
Salvage all gear, only sell junk to vendors.

I do key, because I like key running. Yes, I actually like it.
A run takes me anywhere between 27-40min depending on start scene(if the boss is up already ) or whether I’m chatting to people.
But I do it, because I like the luck factor. I’m not chasing gold, though it’s great to get something nice/cool/useful every once in awhile.

I’ve used the sylvari hound quite a bit.
Sylvari healing turret has it’s uses as well.
I think it’d be a great idea to take them off races, ..and I’m not againt a hunt option for them. Just allow both a WvW way and pve way.

well for one, you can’t leve lfrom 2-80 anymore.
but people still power level via eotm, I don’t see whats so wrong with wanting to skip the leveling process. It’s dull, especially the 4th or 5th time. (and anyone who does enjoy it, well you can still level normally, just like you can at the moment.)
Others who don’t use eotm, save tombs from pvp, have a friend who’s planning to level his next alt via tombs he has saved. (think he has enough for one, maybe even 2 alts to 80.. ).
That’s an alt he has no idea to play, and won’t learn til level80… but he’s perfectly able to do it. should the people against leveling, want to stop this? you’re only allowed use a tomb every second level? lolz.
Just let people skip leveling if they want to.

I like the idea of a guild mission vanquish, but maybe a special instance (it could be a re-used map).
It spawns a bunch of bosses/minions and they have to be killed in a certain time frame.
I don’t know why you would have to use the /join in, seems unhandy.
Just give all the guild members who are in the area a pop-up (like with all instances)I would also love to see a sort of arena where you and your party(5 people) have to defeat a certain amount of foes before the timer runs out, every round more mobs spawn and the rewards scale higher as well. the game ends when the party is defeated.

Actually those gems they refunded have already been paid, regardless of with you bought it with gold or not. The only way you could have obtained those is for someone to sell their gems for gold in the exchange.
You buying them with gold does not change the fact that someone else already paid for them.

Often in large scale events people will try to rez downed players, but once you’re defeayed, you take too long to rez, which is 2 less (at least) people doing damage while waiting for your health to fill. This is not counting the dodges and stuff you have to manage in between rezzing a defeated player.
Its quicker if you just wp.
And I hope people continue to not rez defeated players during large events.

I’ve been on turrets at teq where a champs spawns and takes me out. Not much I can do about that but wp and ask whoever took charge of my turret, if they’d mind me having it back.
Its better for everyone involved.
I just hope anet creates some kind of auto wp after 90seconds defeated. and if you don’t have the silver, it logs you out instead.
dungeon paths is the safest method.
don;t bother much with world bosses, but do teq (you get 1g) and karka, they also tend to be decent loot wise.

Dungeon exotics are just fine. If it’s runes/sigils you want, you can look at some cheaper alternatives that have similar effects, until you’ve built up enough gold for the ones you want. (and it doesn’t take too long, just keep doing the few dungeon paths a day.)
I would contact anet and report as bug all ascended gear is meant to be account bound. ALL ascended gear.

I have alt Ele, power leveled to 80 before the Trait patch, used skill scrolls and unlocked all utilities, elite and weapon skills playing WvW in less than a hour.
I want to play Staff, but I personally find most of the skills boring, so what are my options to make running staff more enjoyable? None.

each class also has more than one weapon, you sure you have all skills for all weapons unlocked? including underwater?
more importantly, this game is about making your own goals.
Admittedly I found this game very hard to get into, as I had no feeling of “where do I go now”, kind of thing.
But this game is very much about “in the moment”, and enjoying that moment, and less about “getting stronger”/unlocking stuff.
Goals can include winning in pvp, completing maps, having a set of gear you think looks good. Having some cool dyes, fight all the world bosses…etc
you’re very early in the game… and with the new system lv2-30 is truly slow… so I’d give it a bit more time.
However if it’s really not something you’re enjoying, that’s ok. Nobody likes every game out there
There is no way you have every skill at level 16. All those skills on the right hand side, you will change them according to each encounter.
Also, what class are you playing?
Then there’s traits, that you don’t get full access to til lv80. They make or break a build.
Maybe you’ll want to play ele or engie, they have more weapon skills to handle than other classes.
Mesmer and thief have a very unique playstyle as well.

This game isn’t about getting more powerful as you level, but more skilled. There’s a little gear progression but nothing game changing…the point is to have as little as possible necessary grind.
(basically no grind for needed gear..lots of grind for looks….if that bothers you then this isn’t the game for you. )
But also, if you don’t feel like you’re getting stronger, go to take your level 16 into a level30 area, then go there again when you’re level30.
putting your items at 9g, doesn’t gurantuee they’ll sell, in fact huge chance they won’t…alot of people want to sell their item first… so they place it at a lower price,
than someone else places it lower and so own.
Its very difficult to make money with crafting, however with research, it’s also very possible.
I can’t believe people actually waste laurels on this stuff, but whatever floats your boat I guess.
Tonic duration, while it’s sounds like something easy to implement, is not going to be something that Anet cares about. Using items like kites while transformed as a kitten is also not something they are going to care about.
Lastly, before you blindly spend 100 laurels on something, you should try doing some basic research beforehand. Or are you the type of person who would buy a new car or drop $1500 on a new TV without looking at reviews?

It clearly states transformations last 5 minutes. Do your homework before save up a bunch of currency and buy something.
If you don’t want ascended, there isn’t much else to spend laurals on.
Also, nobody here is complaining about lack of info about the tonic.
They are asking(and rightly so), for the limit to be lifted. Why are you so annoyed about people asking for this? (also anet has changed tonic durations before… so, they do care to an extent.)

In some cases I’ve had that happen yes, in others not so much. I don’t know if it was a bug or something, but I participated in the battle, died, WP out, came back, boss was dead, no reward…
it’s possible that you didn’t do enough damage..or yes a bug. I’ve always gotten reward.
Look, you’re playing with a lot of other actual people, who have actual lives. Stuff happens. I will never just lie dead for the reason of not wanting to spend 2s to waypoint, but for one instance, I was playing along yesterday and came across the Fire Shaman world boss event completely by chance. I started the event, then I had an unexpected knock at the door. I had no time to exit the game. Luckily, I was in a spot where I was ok, but I fully expected I’d be dead on return.
All I’m saying is that we have ANet punishing us enough for every little tiny thing. Surely this is not game breaking. I am quite sure, actually, that this relates specifically to GRENTH, where it’s a long hike back if you WP. Maybe ANet should put a WP closer to the thing. If they did, I guarantee that would take care of 80% of the problem. The other 20% will just be kittens no matter what you do.

Most aren’t suggestion a punishment, but an auto wp’ing feature. Which lets be honest now, is fair, even if you have afk suddenly
What about having an /afk tag that you can pop on? going /afk would function the similar to being dead, you can’t move, chat, do anything while /afk. Going /afk also prevents you form upscaling the event. And maybe if going /afk during a boss fight/world event only grants you the EXP/karma and bonus chest, but not the main boss chest. However, you’d have to participate in at least 80-85% of the entire battle to be eligable to recieve the boss chest to prevent people from tagging, then going /afk.
I understand that RL stuff happens. I have a family myself, and sometimes I need to go in the middle of a battle and more often then not, die. I would hate to be automatically wayported out, and miss the battle because my wife needs help with something or the kid knocked over the dog bowl and is eating the dog food. Generally these situations only take a couple of minutes max to take care of, but being punished by lost time during the event, and end up missing it because I was wayported out seems a bit harsh to me. I’d rather just stay dead, and get rezzed at the end and still be able to get the reward for my participation.
you get your reward, even when you waypoint out. Even if you’re outside the event range when it ends.
So yout point about being rezzed at the end not to miss loots, makes no sense.
Great, more ways to suck out the little in game cash I have. Sometimes, you gotta take a phone call or get unexpected company or your dog is puking on the carpet. What we do not need is more reasons for people to get upset about this game. ANet is doing a good job of kittening people off for too many other reasons.
So what about the option that if you’re dead for 90 seconds, it logs you out? ..you can log back in and ask someone to rez you when you’re back at the pc. (where it’ll then however, recount the 90seconds to log out )

I refuse to buy this tonic, unless they increase the duration, it’s too annoying, and it makes no sense.
One of the negative impacts of the new “megaserver” you are not guaranteed to come back on your server when you use a way point.

I have no problem rez’in downed or dead players as long as they’re not in the middle of a massive AOE field, in WvW it’s a necessary evil to try to keep as many players upright and fighting as possible and I carry it over to PvE if I can, to me if I was downed I’d like to be rezed so it’s a do unto others kinda’ thing to me.
Not everyone as the ability to stay alive in battle be it lag, poor skillsets, or just being a squishy build, I can’t count the number of times in WvW playing my ranger I’ve been downed/killed and watch the bags pile up at my feet just hoping someone will be kind enough to rez me when they get time so I can grab my loot!
Very different game mode to pve.
I think the op wants something done about dead people in pve not pvp/wvw.
Dead people don’t upscale a wvw zerg.

MF only affects mob drops.
I think dungeons are still the hardest PvE content (together with Fractals). To actually finish 17 Paths in 3 Hours you need to be REALLY fast, most players dont achieve that speed (no one in my former Guild for example).
But I agree that the rewards for Dungeons should be changed, not nerfed though, as Dungeons, especially if finished that fast, require a higher skill level than farming cp or World bosses, and* im still one of those naive people* that believe that higher skills should lead to higher rewards.My suggestion would be to nerf the amount of money, one gets from Dungeons but buff the drops from Dungeons.

This. I don’t really understand, it’s just a couple gold to buy a trait. Just buy the ones you want, is that so freaking hard?
If one decides to ‘instantly’ unlock the traits , the problem isn’t the gold. Hell my 9 year old nephew can farm the 45g in a single day. The problem is the absolute ridiculous cost in skill points (360 per character).
It’s both hilarious and a slap in the face to players that Anet actually was proud to offer this as an alternative that didn’t ‘force’ us to do it through the events, etc. way
If they made skillpints acc.bound, it’d be ok for alts.
New players should explore more, as you learn alot from exploring, and we’re alsways reminding new people in our guild, to take their time, enjoy the leveling process. endgame starts at level2,. So traits encouraging that…is great I think… though they need to be less on “100%” map completion and more doing “x dynamic event or y event” …maybe even “do 5 dynamic events in mount malestrom” or “5 hearts”..rather than full map…cause that just sucks.

up-scaling players so they can do higher level maps. The upscaling will also give people a reason to change their gear frequently.
When leveling I used to change my gear like every15-20levels..and really only if something dropped that I could use.
This would give more of a use to low level gear.(since upscaling requires you to have the top gear for your level to upscale decently. )

I believe this may be a troll thread (no offense) but what evidence is there that Dungeon gold is “killing the economy?” Because someone thinks so it is so? Seems like a post to stir up Dungeon lovers for its own sake, OR someone begrudging others the way they have chosen to enjoy the game.
I actually have not seen huge shifts in the economy for a while, though perhaps I am not buying as much as of late. Mats seem to be stable-“rare” mats still priced as expensive as they used to be, and more common mats according to the “Ascended demand”. Globs of ectoplasm have been priced similarly for many months by now, for instance.

Heavy bags are all up by about a silver from their usual prices,
(but I think this is due to more people crafting at the moment. )
I accidentally sold a rare today… accidents can happen. Luckily I was able to quickly buy the rare back.
all they need to do is add a type warnng, not click, but typing. even if it’s simply “ascended” (because transmuting could change it’s name. )
Not so easy to accidentally sell or salvage something if you have to type it.
