I’m not playing my ele in Fractal, but when i do fractal with my friend, we usually have 1 ele with us.

She use Staff and she have a impact big enough that we modify our strategy to use the strength of the Staff Ele, which is Frozen Ground. A frozen ground under the Shaman when he’s in his bubble will make him so slow that we never need more than 1 person that destroy the bubble. Or course as a team we make sure that the Shaman is always in the middle of the map so he’s never near any particular NPC. The ele is also great for the AoE. In our stategy we use a guardian to put a shield of avenger and Binding blades the most grubs possible inside the shield. The Elementalist powerful AoE in fire help a good deal in bursting down these grubs.

Where to farm ancient wood / orichalc ?

Step 1 – Hit all three Orr areas, Frostgorge Sound, and Southsun Cove
Step 2 – Guest to second server and repeat Step 1
Step 3 – Guest to third server and repeat Step 1
Step 4 – Profit

This don’t work. If you gather all Ancient Wood and Orichalchum on a map, and then guest on another server, you won’t have access to these nodes. You will still have access to normal nodes, but not Tier 6.

Gathering ancient wood and ori is really easy. Of course the more character you have and the better it is, but you don’t need 8 character. I used to do 2 Orr’s map and Frostgorges sound on 3 characters for 108 Ore per day plus the wood. When you use website like gw2nodes, you can find really easy run so it take about 1,5 to 2h to get those ores and wood that you would had cost you about 8-9 Gold. It was less profitable than dungeon, but i needed a lot of Orichalcum back then. Later with 7 character (they are easy to level up and it’s nice to have different profession) i only did the 2 Ori and 2 Woods in Frostgorges sound. Even with 5 characters you can make 30 Ori and 30 Woods and if you can find a server with good position, you can make that in 15min. That’s about 2.7 Gold in 15min, and with 8 Character you can make 4.3 Gold in 20min which is really good.

Dragonite Ore can be really hard to get if you don’t do a little bit of efforts. The best is when several guild with commanders start World Events train. If you have a commander that know well enough the event and how to use gw2stuff at the maximum, you can drag along a lot of people in the different maps. You really only need 5 people to do several of these event, with ten only some exception will be out of reach. So if you have a commander tag, know well the events and have a couple friend/guild mate that will follow you, you can start World Event Train wihtout much problem. Worst case scenario, noboby else follow you, but you can still get a couple of dragonite each time. And when people follow you, you can make 100-200 dragonite quickly.

Skill recharge rate traits.

Well some of these trait only reduces the CD of an weapons that they can only use offhand or main hand. Like Focused Mastery for the Guardian. Some of these trait are better, some are worst, i think that for Ele its in the middle. Of course better trait are always welcome, but i don’t think its a huge problem.

And for Conjure weapons, it’s not like the need increased viability. Except the shield, they are all very very viable in a lot of situation. The Bow have one of the best AoE Burst, the Hammer have one of the best auto-attack and the Fiery Greatsword, well its a freaking good weapon.

I like the Shout Heal Hammer S/W build. You can use several variants like :

- 0/0/25/30/15 if like to switch weapons a lot
- 0/0/30/30/10 for maximum Adrenaline regen
- 10/0/25/30/0 (With a remaining 5pts that you can put where you want) if you want Death from Above

It only boring if you play it boring. When our group leap and hammer stun in the middle of the enemy zerg, out manned by twice or more, where you need to burst down a chunk of the enemy zerg and get the hell out of them before you get overrun. Then its freaking awesome.

Celestial Gear, Build & Stats Question.

Personally i hate Celestial stats. Why? Because power is so much important. People are always asking about your Crit Dmg and Crit Chance which is good for PvE, sPvP and WvW Roaming, but not that much for WvW Zerging. Celestial have such a small amount of Power and rely more on crit dmg, which will decrease your damage. But also stats are so all over the place, that you won’t really use most of them (Healing Power have really bad scaling, condi dmg in small amount won’t do any good, etc). When you check your stats, you will see that you are behind on pretty much everything.

On my zerging guardian I have 3100 attack, 19k hp and 2900 Armor without any buff. And there is many better build than mine.

We have right here a nice example of etymology guys and why sometimes we just have a hard time understand how languages and word change over times.

In the past PUG = Acronym for Pick Up Group or a group of random players.
At the beginning of GW2 PUG = Pick Up Group or a member of a Pick Up Group.
Now Pug = A bad players
Future Pug = the new Noobs

If you don’t see you getting the end game gear for a long time (It can be costly, especially for a Light Armor) and its just not a appealing to you, then you have other options.

Cooking is always practical. A lot of food cost less if you craft them yourselves and its one of cheapest profession to get to 400.

Artificer is also really cheap to get to 400. But also at about level 100 (not sure if i’m wrong on the exact level), you have some really useful crafting option. You can combine essence of luck to high tier. This won’t give you more essence of luck, it will only make it easier to consume them. If you accumulate 1000 Essence of Luck of ’’10’’ you can combine them with artificer to get 50 Essence of Luck of ’’200’’. They will give you the same amount of Luck, but its a lot easier to click 50 times and not 1 000 times on these essence. The other little nice thing with Artificer is the crafting of Infusion. If you do fractal you will receive some +1 Infusion. These infusion can be combine with artificer to get higher tier of infusion. But that’s only useful if you want to get as high as possible in Fractal. If you don’t care about fractal or if you just want to do some low level, then you better sell those infusion and not try to craft them (you won’t have any use for them).

If none of these thing appeal to you, but you want a legendary. Then see which one you would like and see what crafting profession this legendary need. They all need 2 professions.

There is a lot going to be implemented in the March 18th patch. How much however is unknown.

People will be a lot disappointed when they see that they will not be anything on the 18th March. They already said that after the end of the Living Story on 4th March, they will take a break like during Christmas. On 18th March they may of may not remove the content on the last path but they probably won’t update much if nothing at all.

The Christmas break was a month long so i bet the Big Feature update will be on 1st April, but its only my opinion. It could be in May or June.

In PvE the game is limited in term of roles. You still have dps, tanky (surviability), and support but there is a problem with 2 of them.
- Surviability is useless since you have enough basic defense (dodge, healing, etc) to survive even in full dps build. Any surviability you take in PvE is only to help you survive because you are not good enough. There is several legitimate reason to get some surviability : You are new and are learning the game or the profession, or you are casual and don’t want to be stress about your survivability especially in new content that you don’t know very well yet. But you need to keep in mind that this is only a crutch.
- Support is partially like survivability since you don’t need healing if you know what you are doing. There is plenty of support that are powerful, but most of them don’t need trait or stats to be effective, meaning that even a support character will be better in full dps setup.

The role of the guardian here is like most profession. Kill stuff before they kill you. But where Warrior bring huge DPS and offensive support, guardian bring good DPS with defensive support that can help you a lot in a dungeon. Reflect and boons (especially aegis) come first to mind as they allow you team to DPS something while being protected from their attack (increasing the total DPS of the team).

For WvW this is completely different. Tanky, Support and DPS are three really important role in a group makeup. Usually most build will have different balance between Tanky and DPS ranging from the Commander (the most tanky since he need to be the last alive to lead the group) to the Ele/Necro backliner that hide behind tanky teammate while bashing damage into the enemy group from a distance. Support is more spread across the group, with everybody having his own support role that he bring to the group.

For guardian you usually are more tanky to survive in the middle of the battle, while bringing support in the form of boons (especially stability), condition removal, reflect (in some situation), tome of courage, blast, cc, etc.

For WvW roaming its similar to sPvP roaming. Guardian can be good, but its not the best and he won’t use the same build as Zerging Guardian.

These are two terrible build for PvE. Defensive Trait and Defensive Gear will make you hit like a wet noodles. I have less defense on my WvW Zerging Guardian that these two lol.

The warrior already have plenty of defensive stats so there is no reason to invest a single points into defense unless you are still learning how to play or just want to play relax, which is just fine.

If you absolutely want to have a bit of defense boost on your Warrior then try the Meta DPS build (because Offensive trait are better that offensive gear) 30/25/0/0/15. Get yourself some berserker Trinkets and use a mix of knight/Zerker for you armor. Full zerker if you feel comfortable with it, Full knight if you feel you need a lot of defense or mix of both to find the best balance for you.

Yup condition is good for roaming and small encounter for fight of attrition. But for zerging, you are better with direct damage. Because you want to concentration of firepower to burst down a part of the enemy zerg and thin out their numbers, which is really not the best situation for conditions. Conditions are nice to overload enemy condition removal. Basically giving the most conditions possible (most type, no need to have long duration or stack) so the enemy can’t quickly remove mobility restraint condition like cripple, chills and immobilize. But that a specialize build for specific use in organized group.

Usually in Video, its for speed clear so people are maxing their dps. I’m talking about PvE here.

Most warrior have 30/25/0/0/15 trait to max dps so there 50 more Power.
With Master Sharpening Stone you add about 90 power in a full dps build.
Some food will add 100 more power.
If you max stack bloodlust you gonna have 250 more power.
Signet of Might will give you 180 power
Banner of strength give you 170 power

There you have 840 more power. That will bring your Attack to almost 4300.

This is all ‘imo’ but i’m sure many would agree.

I agree with most. But WvW Zerg is more of a balance between different profession. If i had to pick one, i would say Guardian. At least in my guild. Warrior come close second to form the back bone of the raid.

I’m still glad i bought it, it looks really nice on my PvE Guardian. Its a char so it look big and the position is just perfect for me so you can see it clearly. I wouldn’t mind if it was more sparkly and a more pure gold color, but it still really nice right now. At least for me. 10 Gold is nothing, you can have that in 1-2 hours of dungeons.

I’m looking forward to buy the Horn for my Necromancer.

All ascended back item are costly.

You need to be doing a lot of fractal for a capacitor and if you want it to shine, its really costly in term of fractal relic and gold.

Most Ascended back item in the mystic forge cost 250 fine crafting material and couple of other stuff.

So the cost of the new back item, with the ability to choice the stat you want and the skin is just right.

I’m no expert with Necromancer, but i run Guardian with my WvW guild for a while now and i just don’t understand your stats choice.

As a Guardian in the middle of the melee train, i some defense to stay alive. I have 2900 Armor and 19k hp and i have far enough defense. The tankiest heavies in my guild have 3200 and 20k HP. This build give to a necro, pretty much the same amount of defense as a tanky melee. That mean, that you don’t really have anything to bring to the table, since as a necro your suppose to bring more DPS in the backline.

Also, this build give so little power. Power will give you way more damage that precision or critical damage. So not only you don’t have that much DPS, you also place your small amount of dps in the wrong place.

Like i said i’m not the expect of Necromancer. But i have a similar build (wells, staff, axe, warhorn, runes of melandru, etc) so you Effective Power and Effective HP are useful to compare to build in that case.

This build give you 2785 EP, mine give me 3344 EP, that’s a 20% increase.
This build give you 35 992 EHP, mine give me 34 959 EP, that’s a 2% decrease.

Basically, i give up 2% Survivability for 20% Damage. I would get lower in survivability but since i still make some mistake on my necro and the profession don’t have that much access on stability, I prefer to stay that way for now. I repeat that i’m not the expect in necro and my build is probably not the best around. But i question your stats choice, that really don’t seem to be that effective.

Damask are not time gated, its the bolt of silk that is time gated at 24h, each day at reset.

They did that in order for some people that don’t want ascended gear, to just sell their damask and make money out of it.

You can get 45% Boons duration from Runes (Monk, Water and Traveler), you add the 30% from Trait and the 20% from food and you get 95% Boons Duration, which is pretty high. That’s the main reason why giver’s don’t give that much Boons Duration, because if they did, that would give a super high boons duration, which could be OP.

But Anet talk about nerfing the 3 Runes = 45% Boons duration, by pushing the boons duration higher in the Runes. If they bring down the max boons duration that you can get from the runes and boost the boons duration that you can get from Gear, that would be a better system. But keep in mind that in PvE you need no support at all in the current state of the game.

For the condition Removal, of course you can’t remove the condition as fast as someone or a mob can put it on you. You already have dodge, block, invulnerability, etc to evade most hits that could give you condition, if you could remove all conditions, condition would be even worst that it is right now. It would be like if you had a constant invulnerability.

You get a lot more DPS from your trait than you gear so if you want an hybrid build you better get a good Trait with a mix of Knight/Zerker Armor or full Knight if you really want. I recommend to use GS and Axe/Mace with the meta 30/25/0/0/15 and take Knight Armor with Zerker Trinkets. You already have good amount of HP and you’ll have good amount of toughness with knight armor. Use the healing signet, its the best healing the warrior have and by far. For you rune, the best would be rune of the scholar, but if you only want to run around in PVE, maybe this cost to much for you so maybe use ruby orbs. You could also use rune of the soldier to get extra condition removal if you think you need it.

Since the ability to stealth every 1-2 hits isn’t really a broken mechanic, but actual class design, they why exactly wouldn’t I use it?

But yes, I can say ele’s are an easy kill, you can say you can kill everything that exists, so eles are clearly in a great spot.

There are various thief players that don’t rely on abusing that well known broken mechanic to stand a chance against other players. Triggerless for example. They do stealth but not as constantly to abuse it. Yet they perform extremely well even on outnumbered encounters. In terms of wvw and pve, the ele is most certainty in a very good spot but that depends on the player. If you are on tier 2 lets duel and see if your “undefeated against ele” status remains.

Really?? Its not because YOU think that its an abuse and YOU think that its cheap to use that mechanic that its a abuse. Its part of the game then its legit. If Anet think that it unbalance the game, then they gonna change it ASAP. If they think that its not a big deal but need to be change, then they will change it eventually. And if they think that is part of the game then i will never change. For now its part of the thief and each profession need to be prepare to counter this kind of tactics. Some profession can counter this but other profession have a harder time like Ele. Its part of the game.

I don’t know why you assume it won’t take you 6 months to a year to grind the mats needed to craft a precursor. It isn’t like it’s going to take 20 gold in mats. I would just start farming gold now if I were you. You are going to need lots of it one way or another.

Like mtpelion said, there is several ways to get level 80 gear.

Keep in mind that since its your first character, so there is a huge chance that you gonna change your gear once of several time before getting it right. So try to keep to a currency that you won’t miss latter.
- Karma feel like a free currency at the beginning. Most stuff that you can buy with Karma is pretty bad, except exotic armor, so most people use their karma for their first exotic armor, which can be a good option. But Karma is also use to buy Obsidian Shard which is really important if you want to craft Ascended Gear (best gear of the game) and Legendary Weapons. If any of those two could be a future goal for you, then save your karma because you gonna need a lot of it.
- Gold is the basic currency. You gonna accumulate it faster that any other currency and there is a lot of ways to accumulate it. Of course you can do a lot more with Gold that with any other currency. It a good option, but not the best. Especially at the beginning when you don’t have that much gold and that most people want to use gold for their skin and looks.
- WvW and Achievement Chest will give you Badge of Honor that you can use to buy exotic gear. But its not a really good option. That cost a good amount of Badge that you won’t have unless you do WvW for some time already or have a good amount of achievement. They also only give a limited numbers of stats combination.
- Dungeon is probably the best option for exotic gear. Dungeon right now is one if not the best way to accumulate gold and dungeon Tokens will rapidly accumulate if you do some dungeon on a regular basis.

My advice would to find a guild to show you different dungeon or use the mentors on this very forum. You gonna quickly accumulate enough token for a complete rare or exotic gear.

For PvE hardcore : Mesmer, Warrior, Guardian and Ele are the best choice. These are what most people use for speed run. Thief and Engie can also be good, but not the best. But Thief can be really awesome for Fractals.

WvW : If you want to roam its Mesmer or Thief. These are the two best. Warrior, Engie, Necro and even Ranger can do a pretty decent job too. If you like to Zerg, then its Warrior and Guardian. If you have a WvW Guild, then Necromancer and Elementalist are really useless profession too.

sPvP : Necro, Warrior, Mesmer and Thief are some of the best right now.

Guild Mission and stuff: Anything really. Just have map completion or at least most Wap so you can quickly travel during missions. The only profession i woudn’t use for that is my full DPS ele, she’s too squishy for events like in Lion Arch right now.

You won’t have any issue if you go in NA server. The only things is that you may have less people playing at the same hour as you do because of different time zone. Most player in the same time zones will be in EU server, not NA server. Anyways, some NA server have good EU population, especially for WvW Coverage, these server are usually higher in WvW ranking and have higher population : BG, TC, JQ, etc. Another good thing about NA is the TTS guild, i don’t think that EU server have something similar, but i could be wrong. Otherwise, keep in mind that if you have friend that play in EU server you won’t be able to play with them if you are in a NA server.

In WvW i use my mobility skills. You have too much heat? GS Skill 3 will evade while you get out of the crowd, then GS Skill 4 to get some distance. You also have a good leap with your sword. You can get out of range in a few second. Endure pain is also a good skill when you are in danger. The Healing signet is powerful so just run a couple of seconds to get back to a comfortable amount of HP. In PvE, dodge and GS Skill 3 is enough to evade all big attack and the healing signet take care of all the small damage that i can dodge. But i usually do speed run in PvE so enemies die fast. For longer fight you could have some problem depending on your group.

She could use the meta 30/25/0/0/15 build for boost her DPS. If you have to choose between trait and gear to boost dps always choose Trait. Usually this build is for GS and A/M. But you can change some trait for GS and Bow or A/M and Bow.

Once she have the trait. She can start working toward her gear. If she can get some ascended trinkets she should take Beserker. After that the beserkers weapons should be next so she can use some really good sigil like Bloodlust, of Night, or Force, etc. Up until this point she should still have Soldier Armor. If she find that she’s able to survive enough, she can either start using Beserker Armor to replace 1 by 1 her Soldier gear. She can also replace her soldier gear for some knight gear and then switch to berserk, but this will cost more if, especially if she already have her skins and want to keep them.

I suppose you are asking for the best damage while keeping a bit more defense then a full dps meta?

First go with the Meta build because this is were you get your rotation GS A/M and the damage modifier are the best DPS booster and you want them over some stats. After that you want to keep bloodlust sigil, sigil or night/force/slaying and the Superiors Runes of the Scholar, because like the build they give you huge boost. Then now its about Armor and Trinkets, where you can get the bit of defense you need.

Right now, some piece are better than other for critical damage. Trinket are in the top of the list so you want to have all berserker Trinkets and get like 1 to 3 Knight armor pieces (for dungeon SE) while the rest of your armor is berserker. But be aware, when the ferocity will be added in April/May, this will change and crit damage will be more equally distributed between each pieces so trinkets with crit damage won’t give you an advantage over armor.

Don’t confuse best profession/build with good profession/build or even viable profession/build.

Pretty much everything you can do in the game concerning profession/build is viable. You will be able to go through most PvE content with pretty much any build. You won’t be quick, it even may take a long long time, but you will be able to go through a lot.

All profession are good, but not all build are good. Most people use hybrid build that give them not so bad DPS, while keeping a bit of defense so they can survive. This cover casual player, player that don’t really trust their skill, player that are learning to play a character or people that just don’t know how the game work and go for a healer or a tank (while this just don’t exist in this game). With this you will be able to go through everything in the game. Its won’t be perfect, it will take more time and some people really hate this kind of build and will kick you (but they are few, don’t worry).

Best Profession/Build is where the kitten hit the fan. This is were you see people hate Rangers, say that Warrior and Guardian are OP, that thief rules in PvP, etc. This is legitimate since we are talking about the best here. But don’t worry, even its a dark place for a lot of people (because its harder, cost more and people have usually less patience when they reach that level), you really don’t need to worry about that when you start the game.

Right now, take whatever profession you want, experiment with any build you want and learn as you play. I started with a engineer for the same reason you thinking about it right now. More than a year later i don’t really use my engineer that much except in sPvP, but i don’t regret my choice, it was really fun to play while i was learning the game.

Being good in pve doesn’t make up whats so ever for being barely viable in any kind of pvp.

Like i said Ele are good in PvE and WvW Zerg, but not in sPvP or WvW roaming. Most profession have place where it shine and other where it don’t. But anyway, the guys was saying that he can’t survive except in PvT gear and that he can’t have a place in Arah because he’s a staff ele and not a warrior/guardian.

But It would be nice to have some change to help us in small PvP fight.

Of course your should take 10 pts in Air and put in water. 10% dmg is way better that the stats Air give you. Take in mind that Damage modifier are multiplicative so this modifier don’t give you just 10%. You already have 93.3% damage modifier with Rune of Scholar and Sigil of Night. So if you add up another 10% from water, its gonna actually give you 19.3% more damage at this point. Of course this is in theory, not all damage modifier will be activate at the same time and for all the fight, for exemple Bolt to the heart will only be activated for 1/3 hp of the boss so most of the fight so the 10 in water will only give you 16.1% more damage, if you are in a day dungeon this will drop to 14.6%, etc.

30/10/10/10/10 is good for the inceased AoE size for staff attack. You gonna hit more often with Meteor Shower and a bigger Lava Front. You will hit more often with more skill, but you will hit less hard. This depend on you, i prefer not put point into arcana, but both build are good. For the sigil it depend on what you prefer to do. Night is the best, but don’t work everywhere. Force is also good (remember dmg modifier are multiplicative so its higher that 5% for you). I like having several weapons with several sigil. Otherwise Sigil of Bloodlust is great. I don’t recommend Fire since you only have 1 sigil emplacement.

Ele can be good in sPvP and WvW roaming but they are not the best profession for that. They shine in PvE and WvW Zerg. Its ok, the Thief is good in sPvP and WvW roaming but bad in PvE and WvW Zerg. Every profession have its strength and weakness, they can all participate in every aspect of the game, but they don’t need to be all equally good in each part.

For me PUGs are everybody that are not in my guild or I don’t know. They are random people that complete my dungeon group in PvE or follow us in WvW. They are random so they can be better than me or really bad. They can have a good build or a bad one. They can be full ascended or in full blues. They can have experience or be a newbie. They can use the same strategies as me so the run go nicely, they can have bad strategies and i need to explain them what they did wrong, or they can show me a new or better strategy for a specific part of a dungeon. They can be really nice people that i add into my friend list of even invite in my guild or they can be real pain in the *.

Did i miss somethings. I’m pretty sure Anet never talked about the price of a precursor crafting yet. Maybe some leak? Do you have a source for that?

Just play and forget about it. Ya some party will kick you because you don’t have high amount of AP, but these people are idiot or they search for something specific and AP is the only tools they got to see if you played the game for a long time or not. But most party don’t care about your AP points, especially if you have 2k+ already. If you think that you get kick too often because of that, try to find a guild to run dungeon with them. Nobody will kick you if you start a LFG with 1-2 guildmates.

Anyway its really rare that i need to do something specific to finish my daily. And when it happen, i usually just have to go to the laurel vendor, do some quick mystic forge or refine a couple of crafting material and it’s done. If its not the case for you, you can just check your daily list and use it to choose what you gonna do today. A daily Ascolonian Killers? Go do AC or CoF. A Shiverpeak killer? Go do HotW or SE. Just by playing you gonna get higher AP quickly anyway.

That is like only 16 vision crystals worth empyreal fragments so you don’t really have that many.

Lol he have enough for 2 full set of armor and 6 ascended weapons. And if he’s like me, he probably have a good number of Bloodstone Bricks ready in his collectibles. By the time you have enough dragonite to craft all of that, you gonna have plenty more Dust and Empyreal Star.

The elementalist have by FAR FAR FAR the most numerous damage modifier of the game. Even if you don’t take into account all the damage modifier specific to 1 attunement you can get 93% damage modifier.

LS content are not really rewarding btw. It give you access to unique item that you can only get from LS content true, but I think that a good idea, that give a purpose to the LS. For exemple, I tried the current LS content with my friend. I make sure i did all the events at least once i had a good time and now i want to get some of the reward : 1 back item and the selfless potion. But this won’t give me good reward exempt those 2. I will have more reward by doing fractal, dungeon, champion train or world event zerg.

Coming soon is maybe not the words. The big feature update won’t be there until april or may.

We already know that they gonna release the runes and sigil rework, the 10% nerf to full DPS build, the addition of ferocity and a profession balance.

We can also speculate that the WvW account wide update, new legendary weapons, new legendary items and precursor crafting. All those things were announce a while back and fit in the feature update.

It will be a feature ’’only’’ update. So forget already any new content like new PvE zones, or update to dungeon (content update, they could fix bug or things like that).

Other things that i think could be in the feature update (but its pure speculation):
- New Traits or skills
- New Weapons or use of current weapons by more professions.
- sPvP system change especially for reward like they said they were working on.
- LFG tools improvements (our current tools is still in beta)
- General Quality of Life and UI improvement (Guild Tab, Party tab, commander tag, etc.

When the ascended weapons were release the Iron price jumped or 30copper while you needed 540 to 810 Iron Ore to craft 1 weapons. The price stayed stable at 120-130 coppers.

Then the Ascended Armor was release. The Iron price jumped of 80 copper to reach 204 copper each. To create a heavy ascended armor you need 1 440 Iron Ore.

But after a couple of weeks, the price dropped down to 97 coppers.

Now the price jumped to 380 copper. But people only need 300 Iron Ore for the back item. People went crazy with that new back item. Even if a lot of people want to craft it, at some point the demand will drop since you don’t need that much Iron. And unlike weapons really few people will want to make several type of the back item. The price will drop, just wait a couple of weeks and then buy the Iron at a lower prices, that’s all. Btw you don’t need iron for daily recipe (i suppose you are talking about Lump of Mitrillium). Craft your lump with mitril and way a bit before refining it into deldrimor.

AC story is really not that hard for level 30. Of course its your first dungeon, you are new to the game and to your profession so its gonna be really hard.

AC explorable on the other hand is really not meant for level 35, especially if you compare that to all other dungeon that are just ok for the level they ask. But anyway, its not a big deal at all. After the AC story and a couple of fail with AC explorable, me and my friend went directly to CM, TA and SE before getting back to AC explorable.

In our group we usually take the standard 0/0/30/30/10 with Soldier Armor/Weapons, Divinity Runes, 3 Berserker Trinkets and 3 Cavalier trinkets. This give us about
3200 Armor,
18k Hp,
1900 Power,
20% Crit Chance,
86% Crits Dmg

At this point we usually use offensive sigil, oil and food.

At your level, put 10 pts in Arms to get Deep Strike and use as much signet as you can in your skills. At low level this is really op because of the scaling that will give a high amount of critical chance for your level of precision.

But don’t use this build after level 50-60, because the scaling at this level make this build really bad.

Depend on what weapons will you use. If you want to use the best weapons for DPS you need 15pts in Discipline for fast hands, allowing you to rotate GS with Axe/Mace. But overall, the Strength will give you more DPS.

I think you better stick with Axe/Mace and Strength Line. For Dual Wielding, Axe Mastery and Berserker’s Power.

Anyway if you have a tanky warrior, power will give you a better return for DPS that precision/crit chance.

But if you want to get a good dps with a tanky warrior. The best you can do is using the meta build of 30/25/0/0/15 and take your survivability out of your gear by using a mix of Zerker with knight or Cavalier. Only because trait with these damage modifier will give you a way better dps.

Practical use of conjures

Personally, I think staff is the only ele weapon which makes sense to use conjures because it’s the only weapon which doesn’t require you to cycle attunements quickly (so you can pause and drop a conjure). Every other weapon requires you to keep switching, so you end up slowing down your rotation and lowering your DPS.

The question if for PvE. In PvE its the other way around. Staff do plenty of DPS by its own and the staff build is usually not the best for Conjures weapons. On the other hand, S/X is only use for might stacking and you do your DPS because of the conjure weapons.

Guanlongwucaii give you the meta PvE build. If you want the most DPS that should be it. But use your head and pick what will work for you and your gameplay.

You want minimum of 25 in fire to get 10% dmg while in fire, 10% dmg to burning foe and less CD on fire skills. You also want 10 in Air for Bolt to the heart.

After that it depend on your playstyle since what work in PvE, don’t necessarily work in WvW. Spot all the damage modifier and ask yourself if you gonna be able to keep it up.

If you roam you will probably be in the 600 range (because they will run after you), so put 10 in earth for stone splinters. But if you run in the zerg, you will want to stay in the back and range pressure, making this trait useless. If you run alone or in small group that don’t give bleeding, then serrated stones is also useless, but it can be nice if you run with a condition friend or in a zerg. Do you think you will be at 90% hp for most of the first? You are really squishy so either you burst down a enemy before he can even hit you or you gonna lose that damage modifier really quick. This one depend on you, if you feel that you are enough time over 90%.
