I don’t think this is correct. Its not 7x small. Its still 6x Small 1x minor just the minor is now smaller because its a 10% nerf. But that 10% nerf effects all critical minor stats the same. They are making all critical stats small in comparison to what they were.

So now Cavaliers with be 1 major/ 1 minor / 1 small.

No its not. Cavaliers is 1 major and 2 minor like any other set of gear. They changed celestial because it was 6x small +1xminor and to make that 7x small was a big nerf so they make that 7x small (but each small is a little bit bigger).

ppl put too much important on drops.

I have 2000 hours in the game. I dropped 1 precusors (that i sold for 30 Gold is was the speargun, sigh). I dropped 1 ascended weapons chest (it was kittenty stats and the green color, the ugliest one).

3 of my friend that did a lot less fractal than me got 2 and 3 weapons chest each. One of my friend dropped the Warhorn in WvW and Dawn in TA.

And even if i’m not really lucky in my drops i’m the only one with 2 legendary and a full ascended geared toons. There is ways of getting gold without relying on RNG.

Nerfing Zerker will do nothing at all. Zerker is king because there is no reason to use anything else.

- Support? The best support don’t need any stats, they come from your utilities.
- Defensive stats? With reflect, aegis, dodge, evade, block, invulnerable a good player don’t need any defensive stats. So these stats are only useful for ppl that are learning or casual.
- Condition Damage? They are great, but they are freaking bad the moment you have other ppl playing with you in the dungeon.

Until they change that, Zerker will be the only king of PvE.

New dungeon would be nice, but i think that they need to fix and balance the current dungeon.

Rigth now AC path 2 bug on a regular basic since the launch (its less frequent, but still unacceptable).

TA up up was a fine path that only need to change at the final boss.

CM path 2, SE path 2, HotW path 2 and 3 and CoF path 3 are almost never done by anybody. They either are way too long for nothing (like waiting for a npc to walk the entire maps twice, sigh) or full underwater fighting that nobody like. If they could fix these path so that we have 21 full path to do, and not only 14 (that most ppl do).

With 30pts in Critical Strike you will have 300 Ferocity not 150.

I not sure with the food so i’ll forget about it for now. Your base ferocity will be at 1139 or 75% crit damage. Compare to the 113% you have right now.

Its a 33% nerf. Which is quite a lot. But crit damage is only part of your damage. Its not a 33% nerf of your damage.

I’ll still continue with basic number from gear and trait alone. You should be around 2400-2500 power and 60% crit chance. Lets say you are doing a heartseeker when the target is at 100% hp.

1100 × 2400 × 1/2600 = 1015 dmg. (i took 1100 for weapon dmg and 2400 as power)

If you add up your crits. In average you gonna do 1015 × 0.60 × 2.53 = 1541 damage
With the new stats, in average you gonna do 1015 × 0.60 × 2.25 = 1370 damage

That’s a nerf of 9.18% of your damage. That is pretty much what they said there were doing. A 10% nerf for a full DPS build.

Right now i have 109% Crit Damage.

With the change i will drop to 76%. Don’t know how you can only have 775 ferocity if you have 107% crit dmg right now. With with full berserk alone you will have 745 ferocity, add to that 100 ferocity from Rune of Scholar and the ferocity from your trait and you should be around 1100-1200 ferocity.

I think this trait is good. You don’t want it to be OP neither guys. You just want it to fill a need in some situation. Here where i think this could be good.

For Bunker in sPvP. You are usually alone for long time against several opponent, so battle presence won’t be of much help. Also if you don’t use shout in your build or maybe only 1 shout. Then you are better with 3k hp.

For a WvW commanders. You want to be the tankiest in your group to be the last to die. A additional 3K (other guardian in you group can take battle presence or pure of voice) will help survive longer.

Its not suppose to be the best grandmaster trait. Its only suppose to give another option and if you think a bit about it, you will se that in some situation (not all of them) this trait can be useful.

Warrior is in a really good place right now. Its not OP, but it’s far from being in a hard place neither. Healing Signet needed that little nerf, since some build could take advantage of that to make annoying full regen warrior.

A tread in the warrior subforum already talk about how much they should nerf the healing signet. And the general consensus what about 7-8% so Anet seem to be right on that.

For the Necromancer, they are nerfing Dhumfire but boosting their surviability to the roof. So you can’t really complain there. I hope more change, because if that balance a bit the necromancer in pvp and wvw, the necromance still seem a bit weak in PvE.

I don’t really care about the nerf. It won’t change much. Yes i’m a little sad that i won’t do as high dmg as i used to, but its not a big deal.

But the key here is ‘’It won’t change anything’’. Everything will be the same. They didn’t fix the way condition work in party so Condition will remain kitten in PvE. They didn’t gave us any need for more healing or defensive stats. So the global situation will be the same.

Condition won’t be use in PvE.
Defensive and healing build will be view as suboptimal, only to learn, for casual and in end useless.
Direct Damage will still be the only way to go.

I’m fine with that. I don’t complain about it. Its just sad that their ’’fix’’ will change nothing.

Stacking Sigils Update

Its not a middle finger to engies and eles. Its call balance guys.

Ele and Engies have access to Attunement/Kits. So they need to give up something to balance, which is their secondary weapons with sigils.

If Ele and Engies would have access to their Attunements/kits AND to a secondary set of weapons with sigils. Then it would be unbalance.

People told me that you didn’t need to grind much in this game but when i played it, it feels like u have to kill hundreds of mobs just to even level once at low level.

Just wait until 80 when you’ll need to grind out ascended in order to be on an equal footing with other players. Or heaven forbid, grinding out a legendary.

It depend on how you play the game.

I never farmed or buy anything for my ascended gear. And now i have 1 complete armor and half way done with my second ascended armor. Same thing with my legendary and i’ll have my third one soon. Grind depend on the player.

1) I don’t see why. But I never use the compact in my bags. Maybe some ppl would like that.
2) Chef and Jeweler will be at 500, maybe even on the April 15th.
3) They already said that character won’t lose the trait that they already have. If you have a level 80, only the new grandmaster trait will need to be unlocked.
4) Totally agree with that.
5) I think we are just fine right now. I have no problem with my self healing.

That said, I wouldn’t kick or really even care, but I would think it was stupid if I saw it.

1 out of 3 ain’t bad.

Are you serious? An extra blind allow a fiery rush or an 100 Blades to be completed without a dodge, lose of dps or simply getting hits, with is nice when you want your Rune of Scholar to trigger.

The F2 heal is free. You don’t sacrifice DPS for it, you simply use it again to keep your party at 90% to trigger the rune of scholar.

Why kitten about 2 free skill? I don’t get it.

You can level from about 20 ways and you complain about the slowest and most boring way of all.

You can say that the PvE endgame is grindy and it need improvement, but leveling?? Ya i suppose some people would want to be level 80 after 1 hour, but….

How would this, what he said, prevent a mini update with SAB on April 1st ? It’s still definitely possible

Don’t get me wrong. I would be so happy if they give us SAB on April 1st. Tribulation mode with my friend was the best time i ever had in GW2. We laugh so hard that we had tears in our eyes for hours.

But i just don’t think there will be any update, except maybe some bugs fixes.

’’It’’ really meant for the Living World Season One. But the date of march 4th was from the interviewer and not from colin.

Again maybe they will gave us a update on April 1st. It’s alway nice to have more stuff. But i don’t think so. Maybe some bug fixes or maybe some joke for the April 1st. But i really don’t think there will be any content at all.

Yes axe 5 can do decent dmg, but its channeled over like 3 1/2 seconds so its actually worse DPS than just axe auto, even with 5 targets vs 3 targets

You are right and wrong.

1) The axe auto-attack do about 60% more DPS than the skill 5 against 1, 2 or 3 mobs.
2) If you can attack 4 mobs (the axe auto-attack is limited to 3 targets) then the axe auto-attack will still do in total about 20% more DPS than the skill 5.
3) If you can attack 5 mobs at the same time, then the skill 5 of the off hand axe will do 5% more DPS than the auto-attack.

So the off hand axe is only worth to use when you can attack 5 targets. Otherwise you are better with the auto-attack. But even if you can attack 5 targets the increase of DPS is mininal and there is pretty much no situation when you are better with the off Hand axe. The only place i use it is during the Magg protection phase in CoF path 2.

In the end, off hand axe is broken and you are way better with a mace or a warhorn. That said, you can still use it if you want, its not that big of a deal, but some ppl are Jerks. So some ppl may call you a noob for using that weapon.

Ah, I remember back in the days when MMOs got updates once every third month or something like that at most. And that was when people paid monthly for them. And yet people didn’t really complain about the lack of updates.

The downscaling is freaking nice in the game. Its not an issue at all. The problem come from 3 problems.

1) Rewards : You get some good reward if you do the champion run in Queensdale on your level 80. I thinks its boring and there is plenty of place with better reward in the game so i don’t go there. But some ppl like it or don’t know better or just want an easy time. If the reward were not that scale up there, level 80 would not go there. Ppl should go in Queensdale to do daily or level up their low level character not bring their level 80 to make gold. At the same time, even is Orr don’t give that much more reward for harder content. In the beginning of the game the event train was in Orr for gold, material and karma.
2) Lack of content in some maps. By that i mean content that ppl do. That mean that the content must be fun with a good effort/rewards. It easy to see what ppl do and what nobody does. The only things that Orr bring is some events like Temple or Arah’s gate. And the Tier 6 gathering nodes. Except that, not that many ppl will go to Orr. The same thing go for some maps like Brisband Wildlands (who go there except for map completion and 1 guild missions).
3) Orr is just freaking annoying. No wonder why Frostgorges Sound is way more popular. You get in combat and cc each two second in Orr. Its not difficult, its just annoying. The less time I have to stay in Orr the better i feel.

Dungeons too daunting to newbies?

Well to be fair guys. Dungeon running is being refine for almost 1 year and a half. People that been running them from that long, know them by heart and push the limits of what they can do farther and farther since then. Its normal that the level of discussion you get in some forum tread or in some guide may be way over your head. But its not a big deal. The first time i did AC path 1, we were a full guild group at the beginning of the game without any information. It took us 3 hours before we gave up on the second room (with the burrows). But now we can do the whole path in 15min without thinking about it.

It’s a shame that your guild won’t bring new player to explain to them, but i can see 1 reason. Explaining a dungeon over the map chat is not fun at all. If they have a VOIP you should take the effort to get on it and make their life easier to teach you.

Otherwise the Dungeon Mentor tread is a good place to get some ppl to teach you dungeon. After you know the basic of the dungeon then its only practice and slowly incorporate all the higher end stuff.
1) Know the basic of the path so you can follow a group in the dungeon
2) Gear up in exotic
3) Practice to know the path well enough to lead a group in the dungeon
4) Master enough the game to stack might, use more active defense and use more DPS build.

This can take you from a couple weeks to a couple months (or even never) depending on you level of skill, how much time you play the game and simply what you want to do in the end.

If you don’t like the game just stop playing it man.

Some of it was temporary, some of it was permanent. Some of it was freaking awesome, other were just ordinary and a part was just strait bad. Guess what, its the same thing with EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD. If you find that everything Anet did in the past year is crap, then no hard feeling. Maybe the game is not good for you. Pls complain against something specific, don’t just say : everything is crap period.

Instances trait switching would make speed records with certain classes so much better though! Then I can switch armor, major traits, weapons AND trait points

When you come to think about it, it’s really sad we have come to this. Where the most engaging/challenging part of the game is actually managing and swapping stuff around while rushing between encounters and not the actual encounters themselves.

This has opened my eyes once again.

Wait What? Slow down speedy Gonzales. A preview is speeking about being able to switch trait around and right away its : Oh kitten game, its only trait switching and nothing else in the game. WTF.

Its the 15th April btw. Don’t know where you saw the 18th.

And what a useless complain. It was 1 update per month at the beginning of the game. They switched to 1 update each 2 weeks, but people complained that it was too little content so they will get back to 1 per month.

Well, these are the major topic they want to discust. That doesn’t mean that they will only add 12 new things to the game and that’s all.

Also, this could fit nicely into the post ‘’Removing Restrictions’’.

But back on the topic. Everybody seem to miss the biggest use of Artificer right now. To craft dungeon recipes which can yield a LOT OF MONEY. Just not everybody can use that if you don’t get any recipe drop.

A perspective on legendary crafting

Feel bad for you. It suck if that happen.

For me it was completely different. I approach my legendary with my guild. Most stuff i do for my legendary, i do it with my guild. From map exploration to dungeon for gold, etc. And we all worked together to get our legendary. When i got my sunrise i was freaking happy. I was the first in the guild and i had a hard time to go to sleep. About 10 ppl in my guild stayed a bit late that night to see my crafting my legendary and jump around like a crazy person. It was really a happy ending lol.

We did the same for our Guild Leader and on the 2 other guild member that crafted their legendary. We regrouped in Lion Arch and celebrated, checking out their legendary and taking screenshots. I still enjoy my legendary more than just for skin. A couple of small moments unique to my legendary. When my friend search me on the map and say ‘Hey I see the Sunrise over the horizon, we found Thad’’, or when total stranger in the game ask me some question, I even found new guildmates with my legendary.

For me it was a nice journey. The sad part is that one of the most enjoying part of my journey was to accumulate the 500 Badge of honors. It was crazy time to get 10 ppl of the guild to fight our way on top of the Obsidian sanctum jumping puzzle and protect the top while everybody portal uptop. Its was some crazy fight. Too bad they nerf that.

Yep. In general i’m loving the new trait system and its a huge step foward. But it was a great time to give us trait template. The update is in 3 weeks, so maybe they are working on it right now, but didn’t put it in the preview just in case they can’t give is on the 15th april.

Anyways. Even without trait template, it will be way more easy to play different build.

It could be less fun for some players. But tbh this is so small. People will be on their level 80 a lot more than on their underlevel and for me it was once i was my level 80 that i begin to really experiment.

Maybe something like that would be better. You have 14 pts to get. You start at level 15 and get 1 pts each 5 levels. That way, you don’t have to wait much time to get into trait and its way more easier to remember when you gonna have your next trait. Each 6 level can be confusion for new players.

Anyway, i don’t see it as a big deal, and the important stuff they get it right (except the lack of trait template).

Feature Patch News

I like what i see for now.

They got a excellent system to communicated information and get us exited. They give us a little more information every 2-3 days until the 4th april.

For now we only have information about the trait system. I see that they miss any Trait Template, which is sad. But the new system seem to make our life so much easier to change trait on the fly that trait template is not that big of a deal. I’ll be able finally be able to switch my Guardian build from WvW, to Fractal to Dungeon without much problem, which is awesome.

@Skullmount : I thik ‘’A Colorful Outlook’’ will be about the new Dye system. Some information from the Chinese version talk about account wide dye.

Possible to Change Servers?

Galoot. Do you have a lot of friend on this server? Maybe they could transfer to a free server with you. Free transfer to some server last until march 27th.

If they don’t want to transfer because they are already in a good server, or they are in a good guild, they you can still stay on your server.

You can do all the dungeon you want with them. You can also guest to their server to play with them on the open world. Guest is free, but you only have 2 guest per 24h. But for your situation you can simply guest each time on their server and you will never have any problem. Even if they do guild mission, you will be able to guest on their server and get the reward. It will also work in sPvP where you will be able to play with them.

The only problem will be that you can’t have access to their guild buff and services and you won’t be able to play with them in WvW.

Calm down people with the Dyes. The only different from right now, will be that they won’t drop anymore. But in exchange you will only need to unlock them once.

You will be able to get them from crafting or gem store, but people will still be able to exchange them on the Trading Post.

And WvW players hate that they need to complete dungeon to get token for a legendary.

Me i hate to get 250 of each Tier 6. Only 2 of each is enough HOW RUDE of Anet to push me into playing all the game to get the highest reward.

This game is stupid, i need to play the game to get reward, can you believe that. And sometime, i need to do things that i don’t like. I can’t believe it. Don’t anet know what i prefer and don’t you think they should make sure that you can do every item in the game the way I WANT.

Guess im trying again today, trying to do AC since january, not very lucky on pugs and my knowledge about dungeons is almost none, only did 2 or 3 dungeons since game release.

If you ask, they will invite you to the guild and you will be able to ask people to make the path with you and explain how to do it.

You can also try to get a good little guild that will help you.

You can also make a LFG with the description : First time in the dungeon, need help or something like that. If you post that in the prime time of your server (this will never fill when everybody is sleeping), it should fill up, or at least get 1 or 2 people to help you.

Ya the game is not dying, its just that some zone are deserted because there is nothing to do there that is worth it. People scream for more maps, i would prefer to fill up the map that already exist with more content. But that only me.

These aren’t average times for your average pugs. Hence when guildies/friends do these dungeons without their mates, they kick everyone till they get what’s necessary to meet or come close to their desired kill times. And then in the end, people who aren’t zerkers or have good mates to do these kind of runs have to pay for paths they aren’t “required” for, to do.

First of all, its a MMO not a single player RPG (just realize that i wrote that quite often recently), this game is base around you playing with other player and forming Guild. If your current guild don’t help you, maybe you need to find a guild that fit you better. And for those who are doing dungeon with friends/guildies and pugs for the fill up the group (i’m one of those btw). Not all of them kick until they get the right profession. And even if they do, its their right, they don’t HAVE to play with you if they don’t want. You can find that stupid, but they can do it. Some of them just don’t get the game so they want heavies and can’t understand that a ranger can do a decent job (even if it rare because of how limited the ranger is). Others just don’t want to have an hard time that day.

Zerkers kill this game along with heavies abilities to deal dmg and have high survive-ability still. Those videos were examples as to what a good party expects of their warriors and guardians, hence their top priority in parties over other zerker classes or randoms who aren’t zerker.

First of all. Heavies DON’T HAVE HIGHER SURVIABIILTY OR HIGHER DAMAGE. The Thief have higher single target Dmg and the Ele have higher AoE and Single target damage. Warrior have higher basic defensives stats and no active defense. Its easier to survive because you only have to dodge once in a while. The rest is taking care of by your stats, while on the other end an Ele, Thief and Necro and some of the highest survivability, but you need to be good to achieve that.

Warrior and Guardian are easy way to do decent job in the game. They are constant in their Damage and Surviability, compare to other profession that you need to master before being able to do high damage and stay alive. This is the kind of lie that only prove that you don’t know the game well enough.

Warrior and Guardian are top priorities because the average pugs can do a decent jobs on them, while other profession need more skills if you don’t want to be death on the ground half the time. In a PuG groups, you don’t know the skill of a random player so you want him to be heavies so you have higher chance of success.

And btw, Zerker full DPS making the majority of the player base is totally untrue. They make a minority of the players. I do full DPS run with my guildmates and its easy to see when 1, 2 or 3 people in the party have some defensives stats (on their armor or trait). And tbh, i saw 2 full DPS pug groups in the last 1 and a half year (except when i use to do CoF path 1 farm) .

well I mean, steam has the “steam workshop” implemented on certain games, which is a system that allows players to submit their creations for review to be implemented ingame.

Ya but these items are free and were always free. The cosmetic is secondary to the game and you simply choose what you want. In a MMO, cosmetic is a primary part of the game and each cosmetic item need to have a price tag. Here some example why a steamwork kind of tools wouldn’t work in GW2 or any other MMO.

1) Someone put a lot of effort to make a freaking cool item, even better that any other legendary currently in the game. This item would be free to download and anyone could put that skin on their weapons.
2) Someone could make a replicate of Volcanus or any weapons in the game and it would be free?

This kind of system would destroy not only all of the cosmetic work of Anet (since anyone with a minimum of intelligence will take a free skin), but also the economy since a lot of material would be useless or less in demand.

Now, we can change the steamwork concept to fit it better in the MMO in general. A system or tools created by Anet that allow people to submit their creation. With a good tools, ppl could be able to create a big part of the job Anet need to put to create new items. Of course Anet will still need to put work on these item, to polish them, make change little things or fix bugs. They would also need to add some codes, since they can allow ppl to have access to everything. They would also need to put a price and a way of to get that item (crafting, mystic forge, drops, gem store?). But still, this kind of system could allow the community to do half the job Anet need to do to create new items (cosmetics).

Since Anet would still need to put some work, not all item could be implemented in the game. Some selection would be needed. Maybe players could vote of some of their favorite skins each months. In the shot run, the creation of this system would cost a bit more to Anet, but in the long run, as more and more item come from the community and not only from them, they could save money and do some really great PR with their community.

- Terrible video, a bit lazy to use your camera video to make this guide. I didn’t see that in a long time.
- 1000 Gold for full Ascended? I hope you mean either buying everything for the armor during the first week when the prices were high, or buying everything for the armor and 3 weapons right now. Because right now if you buy everything a full armor will cost you about 700 Gold and the cost is FAR less if you use you crafting material and craft from scratch.
- Your build is not bad, you don’t give the good and bad sides of the build. Its a build with high dps, but a little bit of defense for people that need it. Its also not the highest DPS for a guardian. And also, this build don’t bring master of consecration which is a powerful but not obligatory trait.
- How can you say a Berserker build if you use Cavalier????

The thing is hannah. This is a forum, not a community website about the game. This is were people come to talk to each other, not to make a database of all information in the game. If someone make a topics and ask, ‘’hey i want to learn how to do dungeon, but i don’t know where to looks. Do you guy have any website or video that would help me?‘’ Then people will link gw2dungeon.net (which btw was left unattended for a long time, but the guys get back to upgrade it not that long ago) or they could link to the youtube channel of DnT which is not that well organized, but if you dig a bit you can find wonderful information and not only for ’’elitists speed clear’’. Or we could point them to the dungeon mentor guild when amazing ppl will take their own time to ‘’teach how they want’’ ; ).

Btw this kind of tread was on the forum on several occasion. It come, then when the guys have its answer the tread get lost in the thousand of topics until someone else can’t find it and ask the same question again. I repeat, this is a forum not a wikipedia page or a community project website on how to do dungeon. Some stuff were in place (by some nice people that took the time to put them there), but the forum is more about people asking question by creating a topics, and other people answering the post, which is already done.

They play the same to me.

My main’s a guardian.
I build defensively and auto attack with hammer to keep the symbol and protection up. Target falls over dead. Dodge when necessary.
I build glassy and use three more buttons (F1, 2, and 4) to keep the target blind while my sword autoattack kills it. Dodge when necessary.

I mean this completely without sarcasm… If I’m missing something please tell me. I honestly want to play again. But its just so stale to me.

Its the same as saying all the FPS and all guns all these FPS are the same. I press my left mouse to shoot bullet and i move my target and shoot another target. You can make anything feel stupid and repetitive if you want too.

I’m pretty sure i’m wasting my time but here what i feel different with my toons.

PvE
- On my ele i’m freaking squishy so i need to be extra carefull in almost all my movement. I stack might in the middle of every fight while making sure that i survive and i get frustrated at myself each time i can’t get the max might stacking. On my ele i have the best dps, but also the more difficult gameplay.

- On my warrior its easier. Of course i’m still full DPS (not only full Zerker), so i’m still easy to kill. Here i make sure to get my rotation right with my GS and Axe/mace. Its pretty strait foward as i pretty much use my FGJ and Signet as soon as they are available and make sure to get my banner at the right places. My fun with my warrior is to get everything perfect to get the max DPS of my Hundred blades. Its a bit of a competition between me and one of my friend and its a lot of fun.

- On my Guardian, i’m the tanky one (still full Zerker, but not full DPS build). I’m there for the support so i make sure to put my reflect at the right place, the aegis and stability at the right time. I’m a rezzing machine when things go bad, and i’m getting good at that, even in bad situation.

WvW
- My Guardian is tankier here with my soldier gear. I’m in the middle of the battle, staying close to my commander and leaping in the center of the enemy zerg to add some CC and dps to get a part of their zerg down.
- On my necro and i’m here for the choke point. I can lay down massive dps at one point to help the melee do their jobs, but they won’t help me to stay alive so i need to be smart about my position, the enemy and use the environment at my advantage.
- On my thief i’m an hunter. I’ll find these lone roamer or small group and use my stealth to down them one by one. I’m to be feared, but if you see me i’m dead ; )

For me these are all very different way of playing and even if DPS is a major part of the PVE, there a lot of different role to be filled in each group. That’s why i usually wait for the party to fill up and then switch to the more appropriate profession depending on what the group looks like.

I’m on CD too and we gonna about 10 ppl that will transfer to CD from NSP. The PvE is about the same for HoD, CD and NSP. And for WvW, NSP is a bit behing compare to HoD and CD.

If you really want to change server, HoD will be your bet best, but you will probably disappointed since you see much of an improvement and you will lose a lot in your guild during the transfer. Only transferring to TOP 6 NA server will make a difference in PvE to be honest, as they have a good amount of ppl.

Also keep in mind that population is really volatile. Check Emry Bay and Sanctum of Rall for exemple. They had a lot of transfer during the last months and they continue to fall in the ranking, losing WvW and PvE population at the same time.

Transfering just for the sake of transferring is not the best idea. Especially if you gonna go up by 1 rank only.

From what i know its only a proposition on the CDI topic that was acknowledge by the Devs. Nothing new about that and don’t expect something like that for the next 6 months even if Anet want to do that (which is not likely).

It was only on the CDI topic. People ask for that and Chris acknowledge that they want this, but he never said that this is what they will do. He simply said, ok that is the list of what we get from this CDI topic and the list had that in it. That’s all.

But one thing for sure, the price won’t go down because of Anet. They could make the price more even between Light, Medium and Heavy armor (because light cost a lot more and take twice as much time), but if the price go down, it will only because eventually less people will craft new armor and more people will sell their materials. But i don’t think this will affect enough the economy to get these material cost down.

Yes, it has been that way as far as i can remember.

It always been that way and its not a bug and a mistake. You can have all crafting profession on 1 character and switch around at the cost of a couple silver. I prefer to use 4 character to get all 8 professions, but some people prefer to put all on their main and other just don’t want to level up more than 1 character. So this allow these people to consume a recipe without having to pay to switch to another profession.

Keep in mind that a group of normal player will do a most dungeon path in 30min
A group of experienced players, with ok build will do it in 20min
A group fo experienced players, with good build will do it 15min
A speed clear group can do it in 10min.

You are new to the game so you don’t really know the mechanics well.
You don’t really know your profession well.
You don’t know at all the dungeon and the strategy
You are low level with bad gear
AND you 3 man it.

You really have nothing on your side, so of course you gonna get kitten . Dungeon are SUPER EASY right now, so its really not an issue about the dungeon, but how you played it.

Try to 5 man it, check if your gear is near your level, check for the Dungeon Mentor or a friendly guild so people can show you how to complete a dungeon. One things, AC is really hard for new people because there is some DPS check at some point. Its weird but you are better with the dungeon CM or TA first.

Its true for some item. That you buy them with money or in-game gold, some of these item just cost too much gem to be worth it.

- 1 armor piece should not cost between 300 and 600 gems. Its ok if they are not 1/6 of a full set but 200-300 Gems seem like a fair price.
- Transmutation Splitter should at least be on par with the Transmutation Crystal and the Upgrade Extractor should cost even less. How many upgrade cost more than the 21.4 Gold that item will cost you? Only 1 sigil and the infusion of +9 or more. Really, that item is useless if it cost less gold to buy a new upgrade right away.
- Infinite Gathering : That was bullkitten to increase the cost from 800 to 1000 when they made them account bound.

Legionnaire, roaming build are not suppose to be hard to kill. You are suppose to take opportunity to take down your target quick. Some profession can go almost full DPS (like a thief that can stealth if the first strike didn’t work), but most profession need some defense for harder fight that take longer. But unkillable don’t exist. If you want a tanky build you will be an easy target for other roamer.

Why? They will simply range, kite or hit and run you. Your goal here is to immobilize them and burst them down (since you are melee) and you won’t be able to do that with a tanky build. Roamer will simply ignore you while they kill the rest of your team and you will be an easy target after that.

I suggest you create a concept with your toons.

For exemple, first i wanted to create a fire warrior with Volcanus (GS), Titan Vengeances (axe) and Fused Mace (Mace). There is already a lot of flame looking armor so.

At the end I end up loving some piece of armor with silver and dark blue colors. So i changed my mind (before getting any of those weapons) and took Cobalt (GS) and a Corrupted Mace (mace) and will eventually craft Frostfang (axe).

All these GS are good looking (depending on your taste) so its hard to decide which one you prefer. But it make thing easier if you look which complete set you prefer. Like i said Volcanus, Titan Vengeance, Destroyer or Fused Weapons looks good together. Cobalt look good with the Corrupted Weapons and Frostfang. The Tormented Weapons look good with the ectoplasm weapons.

You could also like to make some contrast. You may prefer the fire GS Volcanus and switching to some Icy weapons as secondary.

Anyway, I always prefer to see the complete picture of my toon with which secondary weapons and armor look good together, not only 1 weapons and fit the rest of the character to that (except maybe with legendary)
