wow looks like you never touched a scepter there
I also usually put on my weapons when leveling a minor sigil of bloodlust and a minor sigil of force and at lvl 39 put major ones, just keep salvaging and putting new ones every time I get a stronger powerbased weapon as a drop, and put the first trait point available in Radiance for the blind on F1
With 50% Experience Booster, Killstreak Experience Booster, 30% Laureate Experience Booster, Birthday Booster, Guild Exp Banner, Guild +5% bonus, +15% Food consumable and +10% Utility consumable I was able to get 16 levels in 1 hour in the Labyrinth.
Really wanted to powerlevel that toon so it was totally worth the gold and even few laurels
Makes sense now. Such cases
I assume he didn’t buy immediately with 300$ at once, I’m guessing he started with 20$ or so, then kept playing, throwing the same amount of money hoping there would be a prec-drop to make up for the money already lost and kept going until he was around 300$ down and quit. That’s the typical way how people gamble and lose money
Wait why would they be toxic, they farming those ToT-bags there or what’s going on here lol?
Yeah that’s one of their strengths while other classes that lack “easy” access to boons have their own strengths. Btw try using boons around a Mesmer or Necro and you’ll see them gone in a second and replaced with some nasty red stuff instead
Guardian Searing Flames btw prioritizes Might when choosing which boon to remove. A bigger problem than boons in this game is the ability to spam conditions, not boons
But hey that’s just my biased opinon and so on
It seems you are discussing a subject you lack both information and experience of.
It’s okay, most people who create threads on this board are like that. But don’t expect anyone to take this seriously.
Of course if you’re only traveling around in PvE, slotting in utilities Judges Intervention, Save Yourselves and Retreat combined with the leap from Greatsword #3 and blink from Sword #2 will keep you the most mobile on any build
Don’t feel bad, it’s just that Meditations are really selfish and offensive and don’t bring anything to the party, I am sure Kek there didn’t try to sound rude on purpose
What you want to do is focus on bringing Consecrations to your party in PvE, while mitigating the damage through blinds, Aegis and blocks while giving out stability and timing them right while staying alive yourself. Check out Nike!s video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hRgZYr-yIxs he explains well what being a Guard is about
The basic thing is that PvE and WvW are completely different gamemodes and both prioritize different things, so instead of trying to create 1 build that is good, or should I say mediocre, at both you should go for making separate builds for both gamemodes
Obal has a good guide among the stickies for a PvE build, don’t be afraid of going full berserker there!
We had actually a thread about it really recently, here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/professions/guardian/PVE-Might-Stacking-Build-Zerker/first#post4497002
Basically the build(s) lose its usefulness in any group that is able to stack might properly, but it’s fun for pug-groups where might is not guaranteed
I mostly roam with GS/Hammer and it works if you know how to properly play it. You might lose against the occasional condi engi or condi mes but thats the typical rock paper scissor…
The few times I have been trying the Hammer out I simply must land the Ring of Warding successfully or everything will be downhill from there – most of the animations seem so predictable and clunky it felt like most experienced players knew how to dodge them easily. But I still like the Hammer and want to try give it a closer look
Intelligence/Battle, Intelligence/Hydromancy, Intelligence/Energy, Battle/Energy
Energy/LeechingPick one.
I’d prefer to pick four of them to be honest
The main benefit of making buying/selling against the rules for Anet, is that you won’t have to deal with all the reports and drama from people being griefed/scammed, or any other situation that deals with these situations.
This way of thinking just makes my head hurt
Posts in this thread further prove that the human female body is simply too confusing for the playerbase, it would probably be best to remove it from the game
The LS1 achievement were time consuming? Surely didn’t feel like that when I was doing them
Can I rephrase this?
“Is extortion breaking any rules?”
You make it sound bad
I haven’t heard anyone getting banned for it. So I was just gonna maximize my efficiency since the whole “actually joining groups and type stuff there” is such a hassle and time consuming. This way both me and those pesky dungeon sellers save time by keeping it simple, everyone would win
and you sound like a jelous person who begrudges people well deserved rewards. These rewards are already really tiny considering it takes many thousands of hours to get there. A year has 8760 hours. Thats not enough to get 30k+ points.
So you begrudge people who dedicated insane amounts of times to get a tiny selection of rewards. Because lets face it, adding these achievement rewards took anet way way less man hours than it will take a single person to even reach 20k AP.
what you fail to understand is that you have an unfair advantage towards getting that AP simply because you started earlier when AP farming was easier
you are unable to see it from the eyes of a beginning player who simply can not get any of that AP you got from LS1 and other historical content, it has been removed from the game and while new content is coming out it has less AP with it
and by the means, drop that “you being jealous”-repeating, what i am being is fair. remove the AP from LS1 and other historical content from your account only you have access to, to place you on the same line as everyone else and i am fine with keeping the required AP at 40k or whatever it is now
If I add all known dungeon sellers names to my friends list and then send them whispers threatening to join their instances and kick them if they don’t send me gold, am I breaking any rules?
You shouldnt be jelous at people who are in Top 25 of achievement points. They spent huge opportunity costs and thousands of hours to get there. I would easily have 1 million gold if I spent all that time playing the trading post instead of trying to go for these achievements.
I feel anyone who dedicates these 1000s of hours on achievements deserves any reward Anet wants to offer us.
top kek sounds like someone is a bit full of himself
lol, people who farmed easy AP from LS1 are all like “the requirements are OK”
The way I see it is, it is just a magic find potion, the revive buff isn’t so useful.
There is a lot of food consumables with a magic find buff, however the revive consumables take the place of utility buffs and are the first utility boosts that are able to give a magic find bonus. So, if you want to be maximizing your magic find, the revive consumables become very useful, giving an unique +30% mf
4
come at me RNG
Meditation Mastery seems to be a bit out of place there considering it will only affect your Renewed Focus, I’d pick Retributive Armour or even Purity instead.
Think of giving Melandru Runes a try, conditions are spammed and these runes work well with the Lemongrass food
Also, really consider swapping the Bloodlust sigil on to your Hammer instead and slot Superior Sigil of Stamina on your staff. The sigil is enormously underrated, costs only a few silvers and it will keep refilling your endurance in any zergclashes and keep you dodging all the time. You can remove the sigil of Ice
Otherwise looking good imo
How Do You Know They Are Not Actually Carrying You?
Because I am the one soloing lupicus and they died to kicks in phase 1.
Well that’s probably because they were elitists and had zerker gear on them, they should’ve built more on Toughness
Do these Buffs replace/get replaced by normal boosters or can you have both?
How Do You Know They Are Not Actually Carrying You?
Looking good, will probably drop the whole idea of Glacial Heart and take fury instead, until they make it usable. What sigils would you be thinking of if I start dropping the whole idea of chills that work with the Hammer?
Make leadership optional and make a HUGE WARNINGSIGN and a symbol, like a skull or something in the LFG-tool that have a partyleader in it – there can even be a huge text when you join the dungeon that “WARNING YOU ARE NOW ENTERING AN INSTANCE WITH A PARTYLEADER WHO MIGHT TROLL YOU UNLIKE THE OTHER RANDOM PEOPLE YOU PLAY WITH”. With the help of these huge texts and warnings it can not be too confusing to new players either.
This way the people who don’t want a moderated instances can use the instances without a partyleader and people who want moderated instances can use theirs
EVERYONE WINS.
Like I said you guys don’t know anything. And at the people making personal attacks on me saying im bad, come 1v1 me in game ill show you how “bad” I am.
You have already shown that by creating this thread lol
Thank you, come again
So I leveled my 5th Guardian now. Love the Meditation Guard with gs & s/f but now I want to give the Hammer a try in roaming, I must admit the whole weapon has mostly been collecting dust in all my characters inventories. The game has gotten a bit boring and I wanted to give all those cool looking stuff I haven’t used before a try, like Bane Signet, Glacial Heart, Spirit Weapons or even simple Condition Damage builds and see if I can have a good time. I’m having fantasies of interrupting a D/D ele just about to withdraw to heal with Bane Signet and Chills and watch him mess up his rotation.
Problems occured when I tried to create a build using Runes of Ice and I ended up lacking completely in either mobility, Critical Chance (needed for Glacial Heart to pop even once) or Power. It feels like Traveler Runes are the only way to go or I will just walk around getting kited.
So, anyone out there with a Chill/CC-build? Don’t mind if it was done just in trolling purposes, I just wanna have fun again
So “d\d ele is not impossible to kill, you just need to spec exclusively for fighting him! It’s not op at all!”
No, only people with l2p issues need to do that lol
This is like complaining when you needs to bring a huge amount of condition cleaning everywhere because SOME classes spam conditions all the time
But how will you then be able to know there is a PvP tournament going on you are surely interested in every time you log in? Or read about the new offers in the Gem Store?
I love the challenge of fighting a good D/D with my Guard, even if the odds are against me.
The only game breaking thing in this game is Stealth, I feel Thieves should all be removed from the game

“Fixed a bug that prevented players from changing utilities in dungeons while transformed.”
2018
“Fixed a bug that prevented players from using utilities at all in dungeons while transformed.”
I’ve seen the “guild banners” that people sometimes put down to gain buffs — is that the only source of guild buff/bonus?
No, there are some other buffs too, for example a buff of 10% Magic Find for 3 days.
Here is a list of different upgrades you can get in your guild: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Economy#Economy
Mace combined with Focus works well in any situation where you don’t end up getting kited a lot
You are talking about the Pumpkin Oils/the others that take the place of a Utility Boost?
Have you tried giving Searing Flames a shot?
Why isn’t the profession balance forum flooding with Guards demanding Ele nerfs?
Are people playing Guards just so cool?
The only necros I’ve seen do poorly in a dungeon are staff/minionmancers. The rest used wells and other utility types and managed to stay alive way longer than the rest of the group.
I picked the wrong word, ‘bad’ was a bit misleading. I’m too tired to find the right word now, but it was not meant be that negative against Necros in PvE
Only place Necro is bad is PvE dungeons, try playing against a Necro without l2p-issues 1v1 and see what happens
If my dps partner roaming with me is a read the wind ranger, would you still recommend they stay close to me?
Yes, nothing is easier than teleporting past a bunker and burst down the squishy longbow Ranger
Love it, was trying to get it earlier for my elementalist with a Druidlook, now I only need to start gathering the materials needed
Which do you think is better to go with my mace in a AH build?
Mace: #1 Melee cleave #2 Symbol on your location #3 Block/Damages. Melee weapon so you need a target to stay close
Shield: #4 Does absolutely nothing #5 Pushes enemy away from you
Focus: #4 Blind and Regen #5 Blocks attacks or damages enemy
The Mace and Focus has a good symbiosis while the shield at its current state does the opposite of what you want when you’re using a Mace.
I’d love if they Shield would get a whole rework, #4 could do something like “Block 1 attack, apply 2 second of Chill on attacker” like some NPCS already do. But now? Focus in 99% of all cases
(edited by Vikkela.7261)
Thanks for the info! Usually the only thing that matters is how fast you can spam Skill #4 when downed, so I wasn’t catching no to the fact that the other three are class-specific.
On every class it basically goes like:
- damage enemy
- avoid/interrupt enemy
- aid yourself
- heal yourself
lol i duel how i want : DD
then again the word duel? you mean a fair 1v1 where skills actually matter instead of outnumbering the enemy so u can get loot without even trying? some of us actually get bored of that and want fights that stimulate the brain
sure you are allowed to gank anyone you want but dont think you bring in the coolpoints when doing that, just accept your place as being a player who enjoys outnumbering and ganking the enemy =)
You want fair fights? Go top PVP.
this was sarcasm, right?
