Lately I’ve been looking for reasons just to log on…but, sadly, an ability to buy chintzy curtains wouldn’t be very highly placed on the list.
Guildhalls i could probably go for but individual player housing, gardening etc. is too much of a nod towards cheesy FB games for me, sorry.
Why is there no subforum for individual servers?
One reason, i’m guessing, is community fragmentation.
On world bosses I get like 1-2 bleeds
Possibly because you’re not the only one doing the bleeding – there’s a cap even on bosses.
As a guild leader, surely you already know who your active members are (based solely of their player names not character)? – or are you not that active yourself?
probably work 60-80 hour work weeks
That’s pure speculation…and your post contains too many ’probably’s.
Half the problem on these forums is that complaints often go unanswered (or are even acknowledged).
Sure, we all ‘get’ that they’re busy people but if you ignore your customer base, and it’s grievances, you’ll end up with no customers at all.
Don’t worry guys. ANET will just ignore this post and nothing will happen.
/sarcasm off
Just like every other ‘questioning’ post in these forums – check for responses, they really don’t give a rat’s.
Seems like the company plan is to either ignore the problem until it goes away…or you do.
Yet another GW2 letdown – why are we so surprised?
I would’ve thought a m/h dagger, on a wilds roamer like a ranger, would’ve been a better conceived idea than that of a sword. It’s a wonder it’s never been implemented before.
I know your ideas on skills are only a personal view on what could be useful but daggers piercing or splintering? – that just doesn’t make sense.
With the amount of locked bl chests that everyone has, i don’t see why they can’t make an NPC bought lock pick.
Give it a high fail chance and A-net could still keep the keys for sale on the gemstore – for people who don’t want to risk the possibility of losing something good.
My engineer just died because auto-targeting ignored the TWO enemies attacking me and shot at an enemy idly standing around
Don’t engi bullets pierce?
Just maneuver yourself in front of the un-targeted mob and kill ’em both.
With forum search broken, google ‘gw2 forums race change’ – job done.
With those big shaggy coats it seems like they would be native to cold climates.
You don’t get much colder than dead.
Gering-ding-ding-ding-ringerdingering
3. no universal installer package type, you have RPM, DEB, DMG, TAR, exct(dozens), doesn’t matter what package type you use, not all linux distro’s are going to support it.
This alone is probably one of the biggest reasons you’ll never see a linux client.
Nah – nice painting though.
Are we still banging on with this ol’ chestnut?
Really wish they’d fix forum search.
Take a picture of Bob Marley or anyone with actual dreads and please pay attention to detail.
Somehow i very much doubt even Bob’s still sporting dreads…what with being dead and all.
Afros and dreads aren’t supposed to be photo realistic in-game – just the same as any other hairstyle isn’t.
It’d be like someone saying ‘the world of GW has 6 gods…but there’s only 1 in real life!’ and then asking them to change it accordingly.
Laughable.
Erm…say what now???
If they really want players to spend more time in certain areas…they should fill those areas with content not gimmicks.
Ingame:
Very rarely socialize with anyone outside of my guild.
Forum:
Don’t so much consider the community to be full of whiners as more of people voicing general concerns about the game (and where it’s heading).
It’s not theory at all…and this isn’t the real world.
What makes your ‘look’ special isn’t the amount of armor choices available but how you customize that armor within the boundaries of the game.
There are enough armor pieces, of your own class, to mix and match, change color etc. without the need to borrow from another class.
One of the ideas about having WvW as a 3 way competition is that, in the event of an unbalanced match-up (a common occurrence in WvW), the two weaker servers can ally to counter the strongest one.
When does that ever happen?
As they’re the enemy, you have no contact with them, unless you class ‘sticking them with the pointy end of something sharp’ as contact, so how do you ally with them?
They’re the enemy, albeit the weaker of two, kill ’em all i say.
Engineers in GW2 shouldn’t be called engineers – we don’t devise, construct or tinker with anything.
If they were to make any changes then they should really combine the effects of Blunderbuss with those of Overcharged Shot, freeing up a slot in the process and then give us something we can actually use.
I hardly play my engi anymore as i was getting fed up with the fact my primary weapon, the rifle, was being used as utility only in favor of kits.
Where are they?
800 gems for 8.50GBP – 8000 gems for 85.00GBP
Honestly, where’s the incentive to spend at all?
I’ve used the store before, mainly to buy armor skins, and would probably use it more if there were more incentives to do so like, say, reusable armor skins that could be applied to characters of the same armor class – think GW1 costumes and your on the right track.
I currently have 6 characters – 4 @ 80 & 2 fast approaching – if i were to buy phoenix armor for the 3 light armor wearers…that’s 25.50GBP !
Not to mention the amount spent on transmutation stones as one of those characters is still below 80.
TBH, id rather spend the money on a subscription based MMO rather than slap it in the hands of ‘fagin-esque’ A-net.
Want people to spend money?
1. Provide promotions, like bonus gems.
2. Don’t limit what players can buy – limited duration offers mean limited income.
3. Don’t limit items once they’re bought.
It’s pretty simple.
Samurai profession???
Shurely shum mishtake.
Obviously someone else who can’t tell the difference between ‘profession’ & ‘class’.
Skritt, while being hilarious and fun, are too stupid individually to make sense.
That’s just what they want you to believe…sneaky buggers.
im playing in High population server, im meeting 1 player every 10min
I play on a medium pop server…and i see more than 1 person every 10 minutes!
Both a question & suggestion:
Why is it that you cannot stack gathering tools or auto-equip them from your inventory?
Anet’s attitude is “shut up and give us your money”.
As you’ve already bought the game, don’t they have your money already?
it would be nice for you to offer these in all the races
Surely you mean ‘classes’? – or something akin to magitech but for heavy armor wearers?
If everyone got to wear the same armor designs, we’d all look like cookie-cutters of each other and any variety would take a back seat.
Unless its something super immature or an offensive name then no have at it .
Norma Snokkers perhaps…
Why you can’t have the option to just re-size weapons is beyond me.
Not everyone likes huge weapons and most staff weapons, greatswords & swords, especially on Asura, tend to stick in the ground (when stowed).
Skritt – I dont hate skritt, but they make no sense as a playable race, since their intelligence is based on the number of skritt.
With Skritt as the new playable race, possibly everyone (and their mum’s) would roll one making skritt intelligence based on numbers a bit of a moot point.
Skritt also already have a home city, Skrittsburgh.
They also appear to use a similar character model to that of the charr so incorporating them ingame shouldn’t be that much of an issue – most of the work being done already.
This all looks very familiar.
WoW! my thoughts exactly
Sorry but this just sounds like a ‘round the houses’ way of saying ‘all weapons for all classes’ and doesn’t really have much to do with dual anything.
Thanks Adine.
Just not sure what the reference means in relation to the OP’s idea though?
Forgive my ignorance…d20?
I’d quit without a single bit of hesitation if that idea would be carried out.
Bang on!
OP’s either just won a shed load on the lottery or is making a poor attempt at sarcasm.
Seriously bad suggestion.
Sadly, OP, the ‘terrible truth’ about threads like these is that no-one can really tell you if a game’s worth playing…or not – it’s all down to personal experience.
To players on low populated servers, the game’s dying – for players at the other end of the scale, it’s not.
Forums aren’t exactly the perfect starting point either, as you’ll get differing opinions, making your choice often more confusing to begin with – best advice is to jump in with both feet and see if GW2’s right for you – if it is then happy days…if not, what have you wasted?
Let’s be honest here, Tyria isn’t exactly what anyone would call ‘sprawling’, is it?
I could probably understand the need for terrestrial mounts, if it were necessary to cover extremely long distances, but as the world is split into smaller, enclosed, gated zones (liberally sprinkled with waypoints for ease of travel)…there’s really no need for mounts to be included ingame.
As for flying mounts (seriously?) – you really wouldn’t get a feeling of true aerial freedom as you’d still be restricted by those enclosed zones – making their inclusion even more pointless than that of their ground-based counterparts.
NOTE: Please do not respond here repeatedly. Use the other thread for discussions.
Charming.
You request people use another topic to reply…yet feel the need to repost the same idea featured in another thread yourself.
I dunno, it’s all ‘me, me, me’ these days /sigh
Player housing would
…initially only affect where players logged out not the amount of time spent in that city.
Simply remove the waypoint cost
Waypoint costs scale up with you and are hardly bankbreaking.
I only use LA because of the mystic toilet – Rata Sum is laid out better – Hoelbrak’s just too big for it’s own good…
If your friend really can’t see the Zenith staff skin on the back of an asura…he/she probably needs glasses – and i don’t think the devs can help with that.
Each to their own, i guess.
Have you not tried just equipping from your inventory?
A pain, yes, but in the absence of weapon swapping…a necessary evil.
Suggesting that jumping should be removed, on the basis that you can’t get to a vista, is a tad steep though.
I play on a low end machine with shadows turned off…JPs are no fun for me as you can’t see where you’re going to land but i wouldn’t ask for them to be removed just for that reason alone.
forcing a function breaks the profession
…unless the profession was designed that way.
Engineers gain versatility through kits and elixirs not through primary weapon choices.
Weapon swapping is ultimately pointless as we don’t have that many weapon combos – rifle, pistol/pistol, pistol/shield – to swap between.
Hello there,
I would really like being able to transmute between different weapons, like an axe into a sword
…or you could just buy a sword and equip it from your inventory – far less confusing.
you can build a house literally from scratch with building blocks, lay out a garden and fill it with plants.
Guildwarsville!
This game needs jumping made easier
Press designated key to jump…‘jump’.
It’s not rocket science.
