Yes, mounts.
Flying mounts.
Flying mounts…with frickin’ laser beams attached to their heads!
Oh, and thanks for the spoiler – was it really necessary?
Given that the Maguuma Jungle (now wastes) of GW were quite expansive…
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Maguuma_Jungle/Map
…i think it’s fair to assume that LS2 would occupy a majority (if not all) of it and not just a couple of zones.
You can whine and moan and say it is a waste of time
It’s funny, but the forums aren’t exactly brimming over with threads from players whining about things they don’t want, are they?
It wouldn’t be much of an achievement if you only had to kill, say, 5…would it?
Players call for in-game housing.
Designers spend six months working on the project, diverting resources that could better be used elsewhere.
Housing is introduced.
Players spend the best part of an hour rearranging furniture, inviting other players to look at their creations…but nobody really gives a kitten as everyone has the same house, same furniture, same everything.
24 hours later, the novelty wears off.
Designers think ‘Well that was a kittening waste of time…’
Players then whine for some other useless addition to the game…mounts probably.
Did i miss anything out?
+1 for 1.
Living Story could quite easily become a ‘slow release’ springboard for #’s 2 & 3.
You get geodes from reward chests just by playing through (and replaying) the story.
Never had a problem with this either.
Ignored the tendrils, ran up the ramp and killed him at range.
Got knocked off the platform a couple of times but when Aerin was on the centre platform, i simply shot at him from ground level.
It has nothing to do with clipping.
It’s simply Tyrian fashion – capes are so yesteryear.
This season we’re going to see floral ruffs and tartan codpieces.
Bard: light armor , playing musical instruments to give boons and conditions
‘Come hither, oh ravenous beastie, that i may assail you with my lute – fear my polka!’
Yep, we need this class NOW.
When GW2 was first announced as a Micro game I was all for it….even willing to shell out 100 dollars in gems to get me started…though that was until I saw what was for sale mostly junk..
I want to share how much I have spent on the game so far compared to Gw1…
I bought Gw2 with the early release so I forget how much I paid but I think it was like
54.99 again I forget and I bought like 20 dollars in gems.so that is roughly 74.99 and how many months has the game been out???
I don’t know how financially Guild Wars 2 is doing but if this is all they got from me since the game came out I don’t think that is very good business considering that I can easily spend way more than that.
BY now in Guild wars 1 lifespan I had already bought the game plus Factions that was like 110.00 and by now I was getting ready to buy Elona….You are probably going to say that I am just one player but there are thousands like me who did not return…..all these piecemeal content updates arent cutting it and until they change that I may never return……
Receipts or it didn’t happen.
(Actually thought you were going to ask for a refund…and then /ragequit lol)
pretend it doesn’t exist
No need, it doesn’t…and (hopefully) will stay that way.
My characters have enough on their plates already without having to faff about with scatter cushions and chintzy curtains.
Guild halls? maybe, but player housing? – please no.
In the time it’ll take waiting for suggestions, and with 7 professions left to choose from, it would be easier if you just rolled a new character (or 3) and see which one ‘fits’.
Everyone is going to have a different opinion as to which profession is best at [x], or is more fun to play than [y], but you should really take the plunge and pick your own character – you’re the one who’s going to be playing it after all.
Blah blah…race change…waffle waffle…personal story…yawn.
Sorry but race change threads rank highly on the sleep inducing scale…as A-net has given the idea a resounding ‘NO’ on more than one occasion.
Face it, thanks to the total absence of any vertical progression, GW2 is only ever going to be foundation – it’s the MMO equivalent of a bungalow.
You wonder why people complain but if you had, say, a builder spend 2 years on foundations alone, you’d be well within your rights to complain about the lack of progress and demand more, wouldn’t you?
That’s just what players are doing, exercising their rights as customers, to complain.
Try reading the profession forums – all the answers to all of the questions…in one spot.
Keeps the boards tidy too
GW2 has been laying ground floor
Huh?
Surely you meant groundwork…or foundation?
TBH, I don’t understand threads like these, even those that actually make sense, because aren’t you just shaking your fists at people…who are shaking theirs?
It’s the only pointless pattern I ever see.
So he fights by choosing the best way to bring down an opponent as quick as he can, being the lazy kitten he is, he doesn’t want to waste energy on a fight.
Ranger would also fit here.
With a plethora of pets at your disposal, you’d basically have a weapon for every situation, ready to fight on your behalf.
You’d also have a bloodhound (of sorts) if you went with a Krytan Drakehound as your main pet.
Edited because apparently you can’t get ‘ar – sen – al’ past the sensor without resorting to this /sigh

…hope it helps.
Roll dice, flip a coin…or simply type /age (whatever your eldest alt is…then that’s your main).
You chose to buy the game…seems daft to ask people how you should play it.
No Warriors, magic users or direct combat dealers…but primarily military -Turret Engineer.
So I lended this guildie few gold
Surely the ‘breadcrumb trail’ should start there?
Just ask your guild mates – if they’re worth their salt, they’ll let you know.
there should be some type of lockout in place if the game recognizes you logging in from a different location.
There already is…via email – I’ve used it several times when logging in whilst travelling.
Why is it that it’s okay to be bombarded with whispers from hopscotch merchants in-game…yet to merely mention hopscotch, on the forums, and the thread get auto-locked almost immediately?
Why isn’t the same level of policing, that we have here, being applied to the game?
If it were the same then hopscotch merchants would become a thing of the past.
’I’ve had my say…close the thread’ – smooth, real smooth.
Why do people continue to use gold sellers?
The answer’s pretty obvious…to buy items that they should be easily able to attain for themselves but can’t.
A-net could easily reduce gold seller spam by increasing crafting material drop rates, giving sought after items – like precursors – a dedicated recipe (no more wasting crafted goods in the mystic toilet in the vain hope of actually getting the things you want) and finally abandoning, once and for all, their stupid over-reliance on RNG.
3 simple solutions they will never do!

Google – is it really THAT difficult?
The doctors asked me to stop any activity that aggravates the injury. When playing it’s like being stabbed in the wrist while barely being able to feel my hand. I am already at the stage that I can’t feel hot or cold in the left hand.
Seriously? – and you’re looking for a second opinion…from gamers?
My uncle has diabetes, he was told by his doctor that unless he changed his lifestyle there would be consequences – a simple fact that he chose to ignore.
Long story short and 2 amputations later, he’s now wheelchair bound and requires aid to do the most menial of tasks.
Now, ask yourself, do you take your advice from your doctor or complete strangers on a games forum.
It’s a no brainer mate – stop playing.
I feel like so many players measure AP as a skill base. While yes it can determine how long someone has played for, it doesn’t measure how skilled you are
I do agree if someone’s joining my group at high level fractals and has 500 ap I’m gonna kick them
Thanks for clearing that up – had me confused there for a sec…
I’m a casual player and hardly check the website or bother to read the updates
I’m a casual player…and even i know it’s usually best to ‘bother’ – saves on lots of QQing later.
You can talk this subject around-and-around until you’re blue in the face…but it still won’t change anything – you only have to do a quick search on google to see that once gold sellers dig their claws in, it’s practically impossible to get rid of them.
All of the ideas in this thread have been discussed countless times before, on countless other threads, in countless other forums – the outcome always being the same, although it’s fun to think that your idea is going to be the one that ‘seals the deal’ and gets rid of these parasites, once and for all, newsflash! – it’s never going to happen.
Guild Wars 2.
Even though I’d bought GW, and all it’s expansions, I got lost in other MMOs (WoW mainly) and even though I still dabble…GW2 is kinda my main atm.
Sweet Jesus – another one?
Can you honestly say that you never saw the multitude of other ‘megaserver’ related threads that you had to make another one?
/yawn
The expression is not " you can’t have your cake and eat it too."
it’s:
" You can’t Eat your cake, and have it too."
It’s the first one actually.

Is it just me or does that look like a particularly busty woman’s upper torso
That’s sexist – it could be some dude’s junk!
If they removed underwater combat, my pet shark would have to evolve into a land-based creature…and that’s just daft!
Not to mention all those diving goggles left lying around the map…
Not an NPC , the priory mentor that keeps saying everything’s ‘cherry’ – I don’t know why it annoys me…it just does.
If players can manage to RP in a game that was never specifically designed for it, surely it can’t be too much of a stretch of the imagination to think that they can’t RP that they have their own servers and tags too…it is just make believe after all (and before all the ‘wailing and gnashing of teeth’ starts that I’m in some way besmirching the community, I used to RP so I know just how tightly you guys are wound).
The RP community has already successfully ‘commandeered’ two servers ‘unofficially’ – isn’t that good enough without demanding more?
If A-net were to kowtow to one niche group then they’d have to do the same for all others – which is probably the reason why no-one’s getting a response on the subject.
Am i the only one who would love to have a Ritualist class in the game?
Unless you’ve somehow managed to miss the multitude of other ‘more classes’ threads that seem to pop up every couple days…then yes, you are the only one.
There’s actually one running this very moment a little further down the list called:
‘Gw2 need more races and professions’ – kinda surprised it was overlooked.
Congrats.
The God of RNG hates me with a passion :’(
That’s hardly a guide…unless there are people out there with tomes of knowledge and experience scrolls, scratching their heads wondering what to do with them?
Just waiting for the ‘earn ToK+60 ES in 5 minutes’ guide…
should i just unlock all the skills with the skill points i get or should i save them for later on?
I normally just unlock the skill I want at that particular time – there’s plenty of points available to get them all later anyway.
As for builds…
http://www.gw2db.com/skill-builds/ranger
…is as good a place as any to start
option 11 as I would like options 1, 2, 4 (if it’s enjoyable), 6, 7 and 10.
Options 3, 8 and 9 I could take or leave and I don’t really play PvP enough for 5 to affect me
This answer was mainly the reason why I asked that if you couldn’t have posted your poll in the forums instead as, from an observer’s perspective, the answers themselves don’t mean much unless you know what the original choices were.
Now, not everyone clicks random links and, bearing that in mind, should your poll ever be taken down, all that’s left are meaningless numbers and that doesn’t make for a good read, let alone something that anyone could take part in.
Hang on, you’ve posted this poll just to satisfy your ‘own curiosity’ but when a couple of people ask some valid questions…were ‘ironically’ whining?
I don’t get it…
…but, because you’ve taken the time to set all this up, I’ll bite:
11 – no reason
Happier?
Couldn’t you just have made the poll on the forums instead?
It seems a bit silly to start by asking a question, link to an external poll and then expect people to post back with the reasoning behind their choice – you could’ve had your results in one easy to follow thread minus all the meandering about.
what you trying to do is failed. except and move on.
A rant never made anyone sit up and take notice so I doubt they’ll be pulling the plug on megaservers any time soon based on that…but you could, however, take your own advice.
Isn’t that just asking to further dumb down an already dumbed down system?
I would unhappily bid farewell to a much used system if it were just that, ‘much used’ but tbh, I hadn’t really given it a second thought as I never knew what it was supposed to do in the first place.
