ANet themselves have said that the forum users are a ‘vocal minority’.

Which means the news of the change was only reaching a minority of the players. Announcement of the changes were not made in game any where so the ‘silent majority’ could be informed.

They said only a vocal minority is POSTING on the forums, far more people are reading them. The news was also documented as a blog post on the website, not only on the forums. A link to that blogpost was in the game launcher every time you logged in.

Wrong. If I want to sell something worth 30G, first i click: Buy more on Trading Post, to check how buy and sell listings look like. Then i decide, if i want to sell my item now, or wait.

You really shouldn’t convert laurels to gold. You can get gold at any rate but laurels are 1 per day and 10 per month.

Unless you spend most of your time in the Mists. Then that becomes the only way.

If you only play spvp, you dont need gold.

Dungeon vendors just have weapons and trinkets with dire stats, afaik.

Dire insignias are not available but exotic lvl 80 dire armor is available from random loot drops or the TP:

Jatoro – Light Armor
Errol – Medium Armor
Yakkington – Heavy Armor

Dire armor is available but not craftable, as dire insignias have not been introduced.
If you want dire stats for your exotic lvl 80 armor look for the following armor sets on the tp:

Jatoro – Light Armor
Errol – Medium Armor
Yakkington – Heavy Armor

The change to items with magic find on them was discussed extensively.
Also that all items on the tp with mf on them would be returned to the seller and be account bound.

This is why pretty much nobody sits in towers/keeps these days.

Mechanics that only reward server score, without rewarding the individual player simply don’t work. This is why the GvG meta game developed all on it’s own.

The GvG meta game doesnt reward the individual player. We get at least 10 times more loot from a regular 1 hour guild raid compared to a 1 hour GvG.

As far as i remember, it was account bound, you just had to put it in your bank and pick it up with your alt. Interface button would be nice, though.

Personally i dont care, if they introduce 2 week passes again or permanent ones, I would buy either one.
Lions Arch is way too crowded and laggy so I avoid it. If I just need a TP, guild bank and crafting stations, i used to go Rata Sum but that place also is crowded now due to the SAB.
I resorted to Ebonhawke now due to its small distances between tp and crafting stations. Unfortunately, Fields of Ruin gets invaded by Scarlets Minions from time to time. Thats fine for me, if Scarlet would not constantly spawn right next to me while i was crafting or next to the TP.

If I need the Mystic Forge, I prefer going to WvW, as I cant stand Lions Arch. I might keep someone in queue but i stopped caring about PPT long ago.

It would be nice to hear from Anet, why they decided to take the Royal Pass off the TP but i dont think they comment on such decisions.

naah, we’re going down a much more competitive route and signing up for major league viva pinata. On a serious note a few people are leaving for real life stuff like school, work, family. A few more are bored of GW2 and want to try new things, where as the rest will be staying and either finding new guilds in AG or transferring back to SFR where we started off.

Raising the crafts to 500 is going to eat into your t6 mats reserves quite significantly.

I used t6 snowflakes to craft givers inscriptions to level to 500.
You also dont need to craft more than 10 exotic weapons to reach 500.
50 t6 mats out of 2000 is 2.5%.

All Wvw Players going to SPVP now because its such a great eSport.

SFR has best PvE EU. They are also very good at WvW. To save transfer costs, i suggest to delete all your characters.

Just make new characters once you are there and level them in wvw, running after a commander, or even better, an organised guild group.

You get those from salvaging exotics…not ectos. Salvaging ectos results in luck for Magic Find.

I dont think the price will drop that much. Most people still dont have their 3 weapon professions maxed to 500, so there still is a high demand in ecto. With ascended armor and crafted pre cursors on the horizon in 2013, that demand wont be much lower than supply.

If they havent introduced those stats yet, check, if you can still obtain gear with magic find on them from those vendors.
IF so, get those and u will be able to chose your stats.

You have enough bricks for 25 ascended weapons. Why would you even consider paying listing fees to store them on the TP?

Just create your own guild, buy some influence with gold and research a guild stash.
Thats an extra 50 slots for you to store crafting mats (account bound items dont go into the guild bank). Even if you buy influence, its way more cost effective than buying an extra bank tab for your personal bank.

Strong insignias have Power/Precision though.

i made that one 3 days ago and you can indeed choose your stats. But if i remember correctly, you could just chose stats that arent available on other backpieces already.
So you could choose dire and apothecary for example and also a combination of those 2 sets.
I dont think berserkers was an option. I went for celestial stats, +22 to all stats. 3% crit damage.

Im sure they gonna pull 2 devs from the balance team and get right on it.

The prices have to drop 15% for you to break even, that is quite a margin.
I would only sell, if you are in need of immediate gold and dont want to craft yourself.

Artificers can upgrade them at no cost, so you dont need to click through your stacks of blue essence.

I got 10k green weapons from the trading post and salvaged them after the patch. If i remember right, i ended up with around 30 stacks of blue essence. Upgrading those saved me alot of time consuming it.

I never bought gems with real money but I think I bought more than 30k gems with in game gold.

I run Perplexity runes with a mostly celestial build. I do 2.5k damage with confusion at 18 stacks (easy to deal with 8 interrupts at my disposal) while my Armor and Attack rating are still around 3k each, 30% crit chance and 55% crit damage. I get another 55% pure damage increase from traits when my adrenaline is full, my target is stunned and i have 5 boons on me.

Hmm, I think your opinion doesn’t corelate with what the devs said about ascended access. I just wish they’d get around to fixing this. Hopefully when jewel crafting gets upgraded.

Im not a big fan of Fractals either but somehow got 2 essences already.

If they would change the recipe, i think they should swap the mist essence for one of the ascended mats. 100 Empyreal shards or Dragonite Ore sounds fair.

As 90% of stat combos for back pieces are available now through mf recipes, i doubt that they will introduce it as part of jeweler 500 crafting.

10 commendations is alot for them, i would buy from tp for a 6-7G buy order.

I don’t think you could slot a stat infusion into a utility slot anyway, so you aren’t sacrificing anything by bringing an ascended amulet with MF infusion.

However, you could get the same stats with an offensive or defensive slot, so giving you the choice between combat stats or utility stats.
