Obviously the OP doesn’t play a necro…
This is the second time I’ve responded to someone who assumes this. My main is a necro.
Then, will all due respect, you have no idea of how to play necro. Nothing to discuss here.
The gw2 forum at its finest. The OP likes the new Necro signet, other people don’t.
To each their own. Leave him alone. It doesn’t have anything to do with likes and dislikes. It is objectively worse in every possible situation in the game compared to our other heals. End of discussion. You can see the numbers, the situations and all possible (viable) builds in the necro forums for proof.
Evidently it’s not, because he seems to make good use of it. Maybe that makes him less efficient than all the pros out there, but at least he is having fun.

The Canthan district used to be there. As you may already know, Divinity’s Reach is divided into several districts, some of them assigned to refugees from the other continents.
The Canthan District however was removed at the last minute before release because Arenanet got complaints about it from asian countries. So they removed it and created the large hole.

As long as PVE and PVP balance are not separated this will not happen.
Because something that will make a class viable in PVE can completely break it in PVP and vice versa.

I love that EVERYONE keeps calling her a Mary Sue despite none of them really seeming to know exactly what a Mary Sue is…
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Sue
Taken from that page:
“Mary Sue stories—the adventures of the youngest and smartest ever person to graduate from the academy and ever get a commission at such a tender age. Usually characterized by unprecedented skill in everything from art to zoology, including karate and arm-wrestling. This character can also be found burrowing her way into the good graces/heart/mind of one of the Big Three [Kirk, Spock, and McCoy], if not all three at once.”
She can do literally everything and manages to get every evil faction under her banner, even the xenophobic Krait.

Sorry mate. There was an interview before launch where the devs confirmed that Abaddon is dead and gone for good.
Source?
Not that I don’t believe you, but I have some friends who believe Abaddon is still alive in some way and I couldn’t find any hard evidence that he is really and completely death.

edit: makes me think, cant they do something about the website thats selling gold instead of having to change their game?
It’s chinese, so no they cannot do much about it.
Actually since Anet is an American company they can. They go by the laws of the country the company is located in not the country the other guy is in.
Believe me, people have ways to keep their websites online, no matter how illegal. Just look at thepiratebay. Not to mention the law is filled with loopholes.
the piratebay is blocked in holland and belgium, we need proxy servers to loop to the website and they are closed all the time.
they can do the same thing with gold sellers, forbid them everywhere and eventually no one can visit their website.
I’m dutch and there are plenty of websites that give multiple means to evade this block and they always work, what are you on about?
This “block” is a joke.

Asura have mammary glands too I believe, which were visible back when that nude bug was still around.
That’s great; still doesn’t mean they can’t lay eggs. As someone else has pointed out , based on their head size live birth is completely unrealistic.
Anet confirmed that they give birth in the same way humans do, so that’s a fact.
Also, it’s a fantasy game, realism has no meaning here. :P
In matters of childbirth and early development, little is known outside of the knowledge that asura give live birth in the same manner as humans. According to an asura named Budge, a child’s first words can come as soon as the day after their birth (assuming that “Marnminum Numorocarb” actually means something; with the asura, it’s hard to tell).

Asura are mammals, so they mate and give birth to live young the same way humans do.
Being a mammal has precisely nothing to do with giving birth to live young. A mammal is a creature that produces milk from mammary glands (note the common word root).
Asura have mammary glands too I believe, which were visible back when that nude bug was still around.

Humans have been given a raw deal by the Lore writers of GW2 overall. They have been placed into a position they cannot recover from. Even their current holdings are far from secure – even around Divinity’s Reach.
Even there its citizens do not have a sense of security. In fact most are scared on some level. For the GW story to advance to the future many plot lines need heavy revision and in many cases reversed (also view my previous post – in the Lore section). The Centaurs for example should be re-cast as much weaker in numbers and level of organisation – thus giving actual and real confidence to players that humans will exist into beyond the events of GW2. And in Ascalon the people of Ebonhawke need to gain the ability to be self-sufficient and to pay respect to Gwen Thackeray and the men and women fort alongside her.
This is because if it becomes too obvious that humans are heading for extinction then there will be no interest in the game since there will not be a human race to speak of – just a few individuals scattered throughout Tyria.
PS: Its already obvious to all fans of GW Lore.
The devs will never let the human race go extinct, it’s too populair for that. The majority of the playerbase plays the human race (this is a fact).
~Sincerely, Scissors
While I can understand what you mean, I’m afraid I have to disagree (for selfish reasons I admit, so take this with a grain of salt).
I only play with female characters and for pretty much every armor that doesn’t meet these maxims I really like the female version and don’t like the male version. Every armor that does meet these maxims I don’t like at all.
Imho, armor for women should look feminine and armor for men should look manly.

Humans are good at Scorched Earth tactics. If we can’t have our land, no one can! If we go down, we’ll take you with us!
If all humans are Margonites and Abaddon is fighting ahead of us, we won’t need to scorch earth. Charrs are the ones that will be scorching earth.
Even elder dragons will tremble in fear when they see us.
So similar to how Balthazar commanded the humans to essentially commit genocide on all the races of tyria and claim the land for themselves, and then left when things got tough. (I know this isn’t exactly true). “It was Balthazar who urged humanity to engage the other races in battle and claim the world for themselves, believing the other races would fall easily.” So invaders from another world come and try to wipe out all opposition, but they fail and instead claim and settle in the lands they have conquered and you expect the native races of this world to not hold a grudge, hmmm.
Not our fault the gods dumped us here. For all the we know the gods were aliens who kidnapped us from earth and dumped us on Tyria as some sort of wicked experiment. And because they were so advanced they might seem as gods to us.
In any case, we do not know anything about the origins of humanity. All we know is that they came from somewhere else.
So the confusion and disorientation, as well as possible memory loss led you to take up weapons and massacre all native species…until you could kill them no more (“in all honesty my sword arm was getting tired”).
shame on you (for defending this kind of behavior)
So you put words in my mouth and ask me to justify them?
Nice try.
Humans wage war for the same reasons other races wage wars. The one thing I hate about GW2 is that humans are suddenly portrayed as the big badguys and every other race is a victim of their cruelty.
please…

The only reason why I don’t want dueling is because I don’t want anet to start balancing PvE for 1v1 fights.
PvP nerfs are the worst of all and I don’t want them in PvE.
Are you implying that anet hasn’t already made any balance changes to PvP that effect PvE? Have you ever played an elementalist? haha.
I hope you can rest easy now knowing that 1v1 fights already occur, without open world dueling, and Anet has already implemented pvp balance changes that also effect PvE…again without open world dueling.
Several balance changes are already limited to pvp. My elementalists dodged the bullet on several occasions because of this.
But yes you are right, many pvp changes still make it to PvE. But I’m sure this will lessen over time. Hopefully, it will be like gw1 soon, where pvp/pve balance was completely seperate.

Indeed, CULTURAL armor. Specific to a CULTURE, not a race.
If it had anything to do with wanting to belong to another culture you would be right.
First you admit, it’s indeed cultural, but then that you don’t want to belong to that culture? Even better: It shouldn’t even be “culture bound”.
But it has to do with looking good, …
Sorry, but this whole discussion is like: “Hey, I’m with the Whispers, but I want the Vigil stuff!”. – " Then transmute it to a white item to make it account bound! "
There, fixed it for you

If it had anything to do with wanting to belong to another culture you would be right. But it has to do with looking good, regardless of where the armor is coming from.

Completely Disagree!
It’s a CULTURAL armor – not the usual anybody can have it stuff. Removing this would take a “special feature” away and make the races even more interchangeable and less unique.
Indeed, CULTURAL armor. Specific to a CULTURE, not a race.
The feature is special alright, special as in

Screw immersion and realism. You roleplayers can do whatever kitten you want but dont drag us in it. I dont care about so called “realism” or “Story” You dont like it you dont use it. What has it with us to do that it breaks immersion for YOU that I can change race.. Do what you want but dont drag us in it……
We can already change gender so yea…
Not to mention that in a world of magic, nothing is impossible and things like realism don’t exist in a fantasy world.
~Sincerely, Scissors
Physically, both sexes find good ears to be indicators of sexual attractiveness. Some dialogue from GW1 suggested that female Asura like larger ears on males, although it is not known if male Asura like females with smaller ears.
We have no way of knowing if that is typical or not though.
It’s like a guy saying he like a woman with a big butt. Lots of guys do, that’s his thing. I however disagree, a big butt on a woman is not a turn on for me.
What he means (I think) is that instead of things like breasts and butts; ears can be (but not necessarily are) a turn on for Asura.

During GW1, female Asura had a tendency to have smaller ears, but in GW2 ear length no longer appears linked to sex.
I think this is a gameplay over lore issue. Because we can create/play asura characters ourselves now.
~Sincerely, Scissors
regardless of gender.
I don’t think this is correct. Sure there are lesbian/homosexual asura out there, but I don’t think their entire population is bisexual.
Also, (besides intellect) the ears are one of the physical features that make them attractive to other asura.
So your saying the Asura are Genius Intellect versions of these?
When it comes to having a fascination with ears yes.
~Sincerely, Scissors
shame on you (for defending this kind of behavior)
