How bout you already have a viable method of creating one..it’s called PvE. Heaven forbid you have to go through the same process as every other player to get one.

PvP in gw2 can in no way replicate the things a player has to do to craft one in PvE. This is reason enough that the PvP community are deserved on their own ‘ultimo’ PvP weapon(s)..something that says…“That mofo busted their nut in PvP to get that…and the that other mofo..they busted their PvE nut to get what they did.” The sheer elements of time gating, extraordinary RnG, the horrific grind of 2000 T5 rare materials, the crafting to 400,..the massive gold hoarding, the huge karma investment after it got so heavily nerfed just can’t be replicated in PvP which is starved for content. PvP needs it own status weapons.

Yes but i shouldn’t have to go into pve, grind for hours, just to get a weapon for pvp. That doesn’t make any sense, that being said I’m all for pvp having it’s own status weapons. I just shouldn’t have to go into pve to get a pvp weapon.

I don’t think it is the new heal skill, just the fact that we are so strong in 1v1’s and in tourney’s people might have rolled one to try it out. Recently yes, I have noticed an influx of mesmers, and wars (but that’s to be expected).

As is in another thread floating around, there should be a report button for said afker/leaver. It’s not fair for either team for someone to give up or leave and yes, they should be punished. I think a report button would just make it easier to track or punish the people who leave or afk.

I like the idea of an invitation to duel that you can send to someone, then they can accept or decline (or completely turn the feature off).

I agree, this would be an easy way to help phase out all aspects of glory itself, in this case, boosters. +1

Spending it tomorrow will have gold involved, but you may find the items available much more pleasing then the ones currently in the glory vendors. Personally I would wait, but I think the current glory vendors (on the stairs) will still remain for a while longer anyway.

Just get rid of skyhammer, spirit watch is fine. Skyhammer rewards someone with a fear, push or pull and can spam them, not someone with actual skill.

This would be a easy fixed with build/gear templates. We really need some as it would just improve the quality of life in pvp.

I like the ranks, given that it does take a ridiculous amount of time to rank up i think ranks are a good feature to have.

Today, again, i was paired with four rank 10’s and that experience is repeated a lot.
Looking forward to the blog post, and its also good to know that the match making system is on anet’s list of priorities.
Also it would be great if you could look into a way to make a support role viable in pvp, it isn’t a major concern or anything but it would be nice to see some builds emerging that are a bit “quirky” but also have a place in a team.

Are they going out of range? Because depending on the situation staff 2, blink and other stealth skills can take the mesmer out of range, causing you to target nearest clone perhaps?

If you are complaining about the cast times for phantasmal defender, go try out mantra’s. Even in pvp I have no trouble charging up a mantra through stealth, distortion, even aegis/stability has helped me in the past. Try some of the techniques people use to charge up mantra’s with defender.

Well really when we feel up to it. When there are enough people repping i put the call out in guild chat and see how many takers we got. Usually we get a couple of games in a weekend. But no real schedule :P

Basically, everything. If it exists in pve, make it available in PvP, and if it’s in PvP, make it available for pve. Magi, barbarian, knights, traveler, etc. Such things as runes, sigils, and stat arrays should be homogenous between the 3 game"worlds".

One question though, is where would you stop? Would you add food and nourishment to pvp since you can use it in pve/wvw? That’s another discussion, but for me, the runes, sigils, and stat arrays should be equal availability.

I remember stating a while ago that I could make some interesting builds if only I had “PvP shaman” gear. Within a few updates, we had settlers gear. It’s almost like destiny.

Agreed, all stat combo’s should be available in all game modes (pvp, wvw, pve). This would increase build diversity and overall would make for a much better pvp experience.

What you introduce stat wise in pve, I think it only fair to also add to pvp.
For example you add dire to pve/wvw you add it to pvp, I don’t see why you shouldn’t.
Same goes for runes and sigils to, giving it to pve/wvw and not to pvp seems biased to me.

Mesmer in my experience is top, on a condi or phant build.

-Make amulets and stat combo’s more versatile, and update pvp with new ones that pve/wvw get such as dire regularly .

I think it is on a list of things to consider but right now I think Anet have higher priorities such as making new game-modes etc. After pvp has a new foothold yes, I see no reason not to have them because it is the players choice if he/she wants to grind 1000+ hours, yet again it doesn’t have to be that way.

Meh, with balance issues and what not with incorporating new skills and traits, I would much rather them fix the current issues with traits and skills such as bugs or turning useless skills into useful ones.

In my own experiences, ele. I absolutely face roll ele every time, assuming your talking about a 1v1 scenario.

I have to admit this needs a fix.
We could create an entire new que line up for evening out 5v5’s for people who like to hotjoin and could fill in the gaps every so often, playing hot-join while they sit in que (which would pop every so often, not heaps as if to hinder their playing in hot-join).

Or we could put people in the existing que line into a match if someone doesn’t show at the start.
Just some thoughts, nothing more. But this does need a permanent fix regardless.

Good thing anet is discussing this, so everyone requesting new game modes will understand that something is being done about it, and you will just have to be patient.

This would be sooo much fun to play, and solve many people’s arguments over getting new content in pvp (for now anyway).

Yeah i’ve had the issue of my character not turning invisible when go stealth, however the invis icon still pops up above my utilities bar.

Yeah and it can also be really unreliable at times .

Don’t know how you would seemlessy patch them together even with the “jump between them” thing. Besides with all those mechanics even a 10v10 would struggle to do all of that, kind of wasting content.

Interesting concept and has potential just not sure this is the right way to implement it.

p.s. What happens when a new map comes out? It won’t be apart of this and then it kind of defeats the purpose of having a “slice of every map” . I’m pretty sure anet isn’t gonna update the map every time either because mechanics and terrain would change which could create implications.

I’d much prefer them to take their time, yes they might not have as many people working on spvp, yes they might be supporting the pve game type a little better through more frequent updates. But it’s better than nothing, they have said they are testing new game-modes and like Jon said in the other stickied forum about new game-modes, it’s easier said than done creating new maps and game modes.

Not to mention pleasing a player-base.
