“You can’t have more than 10 HS decks because that would confuse people”
“30 fps is more cinematic”
Tbh Bazaar patch expectations were more than met, at least for me
Have you seen the last big balance patch? There’s no guessing.
Yes I’m lazy and it’s getting tiresome answering these stupid threads. Don’t get me wrong but all of your points are at best not well thought out. I’ll put it simply, because I’m lazy as I said.
>Arenanet keeps hiring people and announces increases in content delivery speed
>Concludes that Arenanet is “wrapping up” the game
Or
>Arenanet gives 60g to people playing hardcore for 10 months
>Market is now flooded with money
“Then we shall wait and see” is your rebuttal?
No, Guardians are meant to be slow. That’s why we pack a punch and are really though.
Flooding the market with gold? I’m sorry I can’t take this thread seriously.
I thought SC2 was built from ground up to be an Esport?
The recently released lore snippet (check GW2’s site home page) specifically states that the Zephyrites come from the Crystal Desert! Excited
Lfg CoF p1 weapon master warriors only plz
Oh and just in case you get PvP items that with a greyed out “deposit” option, it means that you already have one stored. You can salvage the items with PvP salvage kits bought in the heart of the mists or equip them on one of your character (if you like the skin and don’t want to forfeit it). Feel free to delete the basic PvP armor/weapons you get when into the heart of the mists as they can be bought for free.
Since for some strange reason all minigames/activities use the armor you wear in PvP, you might care a little about making a good looking PvP set. That is all, now go and multiply O.o
but that’s how I’m playing when my brain’s off.
Turn your brain on then.
Yes you got it right Vectoryzed. Keep in mind you can group up and play PvE/PvP with people from every EU server, but you can only WvW with your own server’s players.
And as Astral said, there’s some disadvantages to joining a lowly populated server, but you could sacrifice yourself for the greater good?
P.s. I’ve guested over to Vabbi loads of times and you guys have an average of 1/6th of SFR (medium server) on LA in EU prime time. Unless you are really spread thin or have a different prime time, you are as empty as servers go as far as I know :p
Welcome to Tyria!!!
The servers have been created (almost) at the same time, so we can’t really answer your question. As far as populations go, I know Vabbi and Fissure of Woe would love to have more players, as it’s quite empty there. Don’t come to Seafarer’s Rest because we have a medium tag but I see quite a lot of people around-
I have been very kind? WHAT?! NO!!! I meant to be acidic, condescending and annoying.
Pffff…me…kind…
Yesterday one guy in HoTM was pretending to be petrified by basilisk venom and to my surprise loads of players fell for it, trying to dispell him or suggesting him to rrelog…One guardian even respecced to get a trait that allows you to stunbreak AoE. LOL, wanted to share this with you.
GW2 is probably the most solo-friendly MMO out there, but that doesn’t you can solo 100% of it. The only events you can’t complete by yourself are group events and they are not that common, plus some of them can be done alone with a little bit of effort. I cleaered 2 out 3 camps from Karkas by myself, and solo the giant Ooze champion in Orr while afk and these are lv 80 maps for kitten sake. People should really stop making mountains out of molehills.
How am I supposed to take you seriously when you say that “only the starter area is solo-friendly”?
(edited by Wolfheart.1938)
So let’s see. Playing MMOs for longer allows you to judge what is content and what not. I’ve been playing MMOs for longer than you, so clearly my opinion is right and yours is wrong. This is the obvious conclusion of your logic, so let’s just call it quits untill someone who’s been playing MMOs for longer than me posts.
This is tiresome and I won’t post here anymore.
So I’ve been playing MMOs long before you, but I don’t see how that has anything to do with the discussion at hand? It’s not like playing for longer gives you the authority to judge what’s “viable, real” content.
Also I’m not spitting on Cantha, I loved it. I’m just stating that there’s probably plenty of players that would not care much about Cantha. As for Alliance Battles they were great but it’s highly debatable if they were the best PvP in GW1.
As far as we know that wikia is wrong. It has happened before.
I’m sorry for your condition but you don’t get to say what’s “real” content and whatnot. Dungeons are “real” content to some and not every player can do them just as a lot of WvW/SPvP players couldn’t care less about Cantha
Agree wholeheartdly. We could use more JPs/minidungeons whose focus is puzzle solving/exploration rather than difficult jumps or quick reaction. I like both types, but right now there’s maybe too much emphasis on the platforming.
That being said, check out Labirinthyne Cliffs. If you master the movement skills there’s some creative ways of getting to certain crystals.
In this thread: " GW2 players that have no clue on how PvP works" with a hint of “evil money making schemes tinfoilhattery”.
If you click the crossed swords in your UI you will see a button that says “go to the heart of the mists”. This is the PvP lobby and in there you can find a wardrobe that stores all of your PvP skins. Storing can be done through the “deposit collectible” option and once an item is stored, all of your characters can pick it up.
“But I don’t do PvP!” you say: that’s too bad! Arenanet is rewarding items that are used in all aspects of the game ( PvE, WvW and PvP ) so store them and enjoy the rest of what you got. And no, you can’t get tickets for PvE skins because skins in PvE are meant to be obtained through specific means (dungeons, crafting, karma, etc ).

9 months after launch, this game introduced a grand total of 3 festivals : Halloween, Wintersday and Dragon Bash. We’ll probably see another for GW2’s first anniversary. 4 festivals a year don’t seem too much to me.
Where have you been in the last 7 months you and your 27 pages worth of posts, if I may ask?
They are not simply bringing it back, they (supposedly) have a team working on it to expand it. When it first came out, SAB had:
- 1 World, made of 3 levels + end boss
- Easy Mode
- Normal Mode
- Some special skins for certain weapons as a reward
- Sneak peek at the 4th level
The whole project includes 3 (or was it 4?) Worlds, an Hard Mode, skins for all the weapons and special titles and whanot for people completing the whole thing. We haven’t heard much about it lately though
So yeah again, keep an eye out if you are a fan of 8-bit games!
No, no LFG tool has been added as of now, but if it has been in the works for a while now, so expect it shortly.
All of them fit the bill really. Guardian would be a great choice, but as Vayne said, Mesmers are overpowered so that’s another possibility. Elementalists would be the third choice and I’m leaving Necromancers out because their support is not comparable to the other 3 classes.
The Super Adventure Box or SAB (the 8-bit thingy) is going to come out probably in a few months, so keep an eye out for it because I have this feeling that this time it will be HUGE.
A thanks. I totally missed that Ellen was up for election and the wohle part with Gnashblade. Where did you get that from? I played all of the
story instances during Dragonbash and Skypirates but that was never mentioned.
I like what Anet is doing with the world and all but the storytelling
is really lackluster.
You missed a very short istanced mission in LA where captain Magnus tells Kiel about the election.
Nice summary but could use a little more depth :P
I think Zenith just wanted an excuse to open a thread about zenith weapons :P
>two Jumping Puzzles have been released in a row
>GW2 turned into a platformer
Yesterday’s LA chat on Seafarer’s Rest (EU) went for about 15 minutes like this:
“Hodor Potter”
“Avenged Hodorfold”
“Grand Theft Hodor”
“Medal of Hodor”
“The Hodor of Oz”
“Need for Hodor – Hodorground 2”
Draw your conclusions.
I wonder if gritty dark and violent games like say, God of War, are more popular amongst teens or mature people
Hello there Defketive. I’ll be quick, as I don’t know much about the new event. You said the new armors are awesome…what armors? Radiant & Hellfire armor? That’s tied to achievement points and you don’t need fortune scraps for it. The only skin you can purchase with scraps is an helm with colored crystals on it.
Fortun scraps + helms are temporary, the achievement point rewards are permanent
Oh and by the way, the answer to your 3rd question is obviously no
So im presuming that all living story here in will be jump puzzle related, most jump puzzle players have already blitzed tho this its those of us that hate jump puzzles I suppose we can always hope the next one gives us something to do.
Oh and in the meantime make those waypoints free if you fall to your death, even some of the sky crystals dont even have a way back once you dropped down to them and you have no choice but to waypoint out. (i know its only 1.39 but its soon adds up if your crap like me)
Yep, that is why I am not going to bother doing them and wait another month.
Why not the next two weeks?
Stop joining 8 vs 8 hotjoins and getting roflstomped by zergs. There, now PvP is interesting.
As much as I would love to revisit the Crystal Desert I don’t think it’s really close, it looks like we’ll get a piace of the Shiverpeaks or Dominion of Winds first.
Not sure if troll…
Props to Piken Square for holding its own even against servers that outnumber them. Would love to give a shotout to a bunch of extremely hard to kill Pikenians (?) on Elona border, but I forgot their guild name
Also, looks like we are showing Elona that they are nothing but a shadow from the past (rough quote)

And now for a few days, back to PvE! Wheeeee!
(edited by Wolfheart.1938)
More of this again, oh noes. At least the condescending tone towards players that don’t agree with you is gone or toned down.
Now for the answer to your topic: they are amping up on the permanent content with the following releases.
As someone who hates using Dulfy and the likes, simply don’t go there
Guardian’s offensive builds will always be inferior to bunkers due lack of mobility, poor ranged options and well-telegraphed burst moves. That is not to say the suck, or have absolutely no place in a team, but that other classes can do a better job 90% of the time.
To answer the OP: In TPvP
Posting in a “trinity is the only way to have deep combat” thread. By the way, elementalists are pretty survivable.
Holy batman necro! Lol I got fooled.
(edited by Wolfheart.1938)
PvP in a PvP zone is not griefing.
The conclusion is that CoF rewards too much, I agree
This whole deal is so disrespectful I don’t even understand how people could support you in such a stupid decision: having less players on your side doesn’t prevent you from having fun, especially when one side (the server that is not doing GvG) is likely to have more people and thus is pushing you. A GvG going on doesn’t automatically negate you the possibility of having fun, purposefully interrupting GvGs negates the fun of the 50+ players partecipating. You can’t outblob JS and that makes u mad? More reasons to hate Vizunah.
I’m not posting here anymore because soon enough a mod will close this and because frankly, since my guild doesn’t do GvGs, it’s not really my concern. I just wanted to share with you how much I loathe such childish reasonings.
Or play an engineer because you are not a baddie and you are not gonna give up as soon as pressing 123 doesn’t let you win
Engineers are really hard to play.
A simple “last time logged in” timer would go such a long way…here’s my +1
Wrong, Nord are an entirely different race according to lore. The fact that they basically look like oversized humans doesn’t make them a “type” of human.
If you don’t care about lore and don’t mind being a Norn, then go for it.
New professions? Sure, probably an heavy armor wearer. Monk-Dervish-Paragon? Nope, not a chance unless they completely rework those classes to the point of not resembling their original counterpart anymore.
This week is going to be my Big Water Match week. Fun fun fun for me!
Appears some ER folks don’t like coming in the water unless there’s at least 8 of you. I /beckoned to the three that were in the water supply camp on PSBL, but only the ranger would dip his pet’s toe in
I figured 3v1 would be a nice fight, but noooo …..
Come swimming with me! I promise to only give hugs. Honest.
*crosses fingers
No? How about cookies? I have cookies in the water! Come get them!
What waters do you lurk in? I might think about giving you a visit unless you are a ranger (sorry ranger underwater downed state is kittened )
First of all i would say Irulh is clearly wrong about GC’s position.
Second, GC is an ally of several guilds and each one is free to do whatever they like on this particular topic. Some of us don’t like GvGs, some do. Some of us will interrupt GvGs, some wont.
See you on the battlefield
Please don’t speak as a representative of gc if your guild isn’t even mentioned in the list Troma posted. From what I’ve understood gc has yet to decide their position, correct me if I’m wrong. I cannot possibly believe an alliance worth their salt would simply ignore such childish acts.
I give up, I don’t have enough patience to deal with these forums.
