Not quite sure which server they are helping but any of IOJ or BG feel like they are having spy building tons of rams or being sabotaged when ninjaing? :\

Necro buff icon also still says 10% (the tool tip is correct). However, it is certainly giving 25% speed bonus.

Meh. Who really cares about kill totals? A little can be said for your kill to death ratio, but total kills is more about time spent playing than anything else. People put far too much weight into meaningless stats like that.

Just 1 tower (and a supply camp, I think…I’ve only seen the event once and it was already at the tower). After the tower, the NPCs despawn.

I’ve never fought so hard to keep BG and IoJ out of a supply camp as we did last night. We had to death train just to keep them from taking that supply camp. 3 times they tried and all 3 times we saved the camp. It was the most fun I had on a supply camp to date.

That was so much fun. Words cannot describe the insanity and excitement from that battle.

Yep, unless an application takes advantage of hyper-threading (most games do not) an i5 is effectively the same as an i7. Save yourself $100 and just get the 3570 instead of the 3770. I recently overclocked my i5 3570k and my graphics card and this is what I found:

CPU: i5 3570k (3.4ghz factory)
GFX: 7850 OC edition (920 clock 1250mhz factory OC)
Other: 16gb ram, HyperX SSD, etc.

Settings are everything high/maxed, Vsync on, 1920×1200.

Before OCing my CPU and graphics card, I would get about 40-55 FPS in normal zones/situations, with FPS dropping to 20-25 in large WvW zergs. After OC’ing my CPU to 4.2ghz and my card to 1000 clock and 1300mhz, FPS is consistently at 55-60 in normal situations and was literally just at 30-38 FPS in a large zerg attacking Bay.

Less scientifically, I notice things running “smoother.” Significantly less initial zone/area stutter, etc. Hopefully this helps.

I play all 8 classes. Only 5 are lvl 80 so far but I found that playing a thief through to 80 made it far easier for me personally to combat a thief with my ele, mesmer, warrior, or even ranger.

I do not personally slot daggerstorm.

Cannot stress this enough. I have all professions except Necro and Ranger at 80 (working on Necro now). All were heavily leveled in WvW. After playing a profession, you really learn their weaknesses.

DS is one of my favorite thief skills to run into actually. especially being a sword/focus mesmer. most of them are the try hards that think they’re invulnerable so i just port to them and blurred frenzy them down in 4 hits while remaining untouched.

My main toon is a Warrior in full Knights armor/trinkets, Soldier runes, with 30 in Toughness and Vitality lines (shout heal build, of course).

My new favorite activity is straight-up tanking Thieves who are Daggerstorming and melee’ing them down in the process. Gives me much joy.

I’m on Sanctum of Rall, and have been since the beginning. I’ve also done WvW since pretty much day 1. In Blackgate’s defense, WvW is so chaotic that I may have taken that portal myself if I was solo.

Reporting the exploiters is the absolute best thing that can be done. Turning keep ownership back over is honorable, but optional. Making an example of the whole server though for the actions pf a few, I totally disagree with unless there is more evidence.

Part of the problem is all the BG members coming here with denial, excuses and no word of remorse. It’s all about image, for example SoR had a hacker they got him banned, apologized and showed how they worked to eradicate it. They aren’t really OP but it does require understanding how the thief works in order to beat them.

I have an 80 Thief (see below) so I know firsthand how ridiculous it is. Perma stealth (by virtue of the rendering bug) is broken.

I’ve abused it myself many, many times in WvW. I will continue to until ANet nerfs/fixes it. On that day I will feel no pity for all the Thieves who have defended the bug so vehemently, since all their eggs are in one basket.

Superior Flame Ram does ~12k, while a standard Flame Ram does ~8k. So 50% more, at least for the Ram.

Not sure about others.

If you want to gear for WvW you have to do PvE.

That’s the thing that’s bothering people about Ascended gear. You can’t (yet, if ever) get it via WvW.

You can get exotics from WvW in 3 forms: crafted (save your gold from WvW), Invaders (use your WvW tokens), or with karma from all the WvW DEs.

I don’t remember where I read it, but someone put it well, I thought:
