A MMO with a pvp system where you must avoid this god mode attack or die instantly will fail to ever have a decent size pvp player base. MMO players dont like that kind of 2 second fights game play.
Without it Mesmer would be a free kill. Would end staff builds ending condition based mesmers. With the zerker bug greatsword is not in a good spot.
Keep defensive skills lower burst potential thats what the game needs to promote skill based play.

Its about a relevant as kitten talking a pug that got to the last game pugging and lost a 2 v 1. Your condition necro would not beat my condition mes not that it matters, but it could beat the power necro build I was running that day… however the guardians on your team could not beat it was not even a build made to break guardians its was a specific build used to stomp other first round pugs with all the thiefs and mesmers and HB wars you see round one. Also I dont know a Draaz and I remember all the good necros I fight.
Druitt I play a few classes but if you want to talk about top level play this game has none, only farmers I’m a multiple season deadly glad from a massive pvp population where winning and only winning moves you up. GW2 is a joke atm regarding pvp population and high level play, I hope it gets better but it is what it is.
I have never been the one saying necro is totatly broken else I would not play it so much, it however has more broken skills and traits then anyclass. Im a min/max type so when I test things and see they dont work as stated its pisses me off thats probably the main issue I have with Necro the amount of time i did testing to discover how many things are just wrong. I expect higher quality and testing from game developers.
Said it a million times condition necro is fine but its real use it utility slots. Most my negativity comes from not really just the necro class but the fact we still dont have ranked arenas… need those so bad to shut up farmers and seperate the real deal from those with just a ton of time.
Again and I stated this clearly a few times, everyone here needs to try other classes seriously try them at least to gain a better perspective.

Well been on my necro pugging tpvp that last few days test spec is working well have not lost a 1 v 1 other then to a mesmer. You beat me 1 v 1? I doubt it, likely I just got zerged by a vent team responding quickly as I soloed the bunker as a vent team should do. Have not even played that much only time I remember even facing a necro was one getting carried in a vent team on the last map.
Kept getting the bunker guardian almost dead and he would run in making it a 2 v 1. Was that you a Charr necro? If so lol, typical exactly what I would expect of a farm based pvp vent group braging about winning a 2 v 1 against a pug.

Arena is a must if this game wants a pvp population.
No I posted in the right place, I think you are average at best and know if a true rated system was done you would be average ranked.
I know the type seen it happen in WoW when rated Arenas came out.
In a farm based system people with a ton of time climb and mistake it for skill, rated systems remove all doubt about what teams are good and what teams/players are not.

Well proves two things other then one person all the people claiming games balanced dont tpvp. Second thing is even in that case its a player that has not played other classes seriously.
If you have seen me in tpvp Mammoth its pugging because thats all I do in this game it has no rated games. A deadly glad in rated match system play just cant take it too seriously at this point. All I do really is tpvp pug time to time I beat most pug vs pugs and the only pug necro I know worth a kitten is Well Whale Well and half the time he is grouped. The other necros I see are just farming pugs in vent with double guardian team makeups and rez sig running typical condition builds.
I hardly play anymore and when I do its on my mes. Few days ago did get some silver chests pugging on my test fear power necro build. Got one gold chest beating a typical bad vent team but for the most part non-vent pugs get crushed by vent teams on the last map.
If you played me possible you would remember as I tend to troll high ranked vent teams in free tpvp with hacks comments and stuff like that to see them yell noob and get worked up, dont take it personal I just dont have any respect in the guild wars 2 pvp system and never will until matched ratings.
tpvp is just about dead I do see the same people over and over and i dont even play much lol…. this game needs balance and matching else it will always just be a small group farming each other thinking they are good at pvp.

Say what you want but at least a good hard to kill bunker ele takes skill to play and they dont do alot of damage.
Hardwork and skill should be rewarded, not faceroll thiefs wars and easy to play Guardians.
side note: I think rangers can fill a role.

Condition ranger works ok, yes a thief or mesmer or eng can do the same only better….
But seriously a good ranger balanced build can fill as offense or off point defense decently.
If we are talking ideal the team should just have two Guardians, two burst classes thief, war, or mes and one specialized fight supporter based on map or other team make up ele/necro/eng.
Yeah I have a masters degree in EE, this game is played on computers and computers use electricity therefore its clear I have a plethora of knowledge on game balance Elguapo.
Nerf Thiefs
My slot 2 has the same attack speed as you, yet deals a max of 7k, while you can easily to 19k-25k. I am specced with 60% crit damage, 2200 power, I should be able to hit you witha 19k-25k, yet you have probably very close to the same stats and hit so much higher.
Your ranged ability which can be used on the move should deal as much as the stuck-in-place melee attack? Please tell me more about game balance issues and your solutions for them.
Turn it into a stuck-in-place melee attack that deals the same amount of damage. Being able to move while casting it doesn’t really help much to begin with, that’s a null-point. So make it deal more than 7k damage then, make it deal 10k-13k, it only has 600 range have to be fairly close anyways, you can always “dodge out of it” according to you, so I SEE NO ISSUE.

I doubt he plays ele Blueprint, probably a faceroll burst class or guardian trying to get eles nerfed again.
Its not unreasonable to expect rated games… or even other game modes MMOs have had them for years. Even GW1 had rated GvG fights.
There are alot of good players, the problem is with no ranking systems they just dont care. If its not rated its farming and even average players from rated pvp games will never respect it or put any effort into it.

d/d eles are not really a big deal, thiefs are.
Right now burst is brainless faceroll in real MMO high level play burst had to be timed perfectly with CC.
Game favors burst the other end of the spectrum is just stupid bunker abilities no middle ground = dying pvp game.

Not really, I have been in plenty situations where it is quite easy to negate an entire duration of quickness by using a lower cooldown utility and/or a dodge roll or CC. There are quite a number of counters to quickness.
Here we go, if a burst class cant set up a situation that a player can’t dodge roll they are the noobs. Attack from behind join in a blow up a player engaged in a fight game over.
Lets be real the noobs are the burst players that fail at doing their burst its easy its faceroll its broken.
1v1 is not the issue insta gib while fighting someone else is broken skilless gameplay.

A good guard will take a little time to down when you finally down him support should have just showed up however you still have the edge if they send more people your roamer will cap undefended points…… Rez sig breaks the game because that guard will just pop back up.
Lets be real tho, downstates breaks the game.

That was one of the worst posts I have read and proves everything I have had to say about the joke that is so called ‘top’ players in this game.
I bet most the top players are nothing more then farmers that would be nothing if games were rated. WoW arena did it right good teams climbed up by facing other good teams and beating them. New players/ pve players making the transition to PvP faced others at their skill level and that keep a fresh growing population.
People that dont want rated matches deep down know they are not good because they have never been top at other rated games….. they are right and could not handle a non farming based system.
For one thing, new players and experienced players are playing two different games. New players don’t know how to counter Hundred Blades. Experienced teams now often don’t even bother to bring a warrior to tPvP because the warrior is shut down by players who understand how to counter the warrior.

Dont buff toughness would ruin the game for to many classes that do balanced damage. A buff to toughness would just make thiefs even better because they would also get the benefit while still doing unbalanced high damage.
Simple fix is nerf thiefs damage its must be done. Stun break is not always up its on longer cooldown then thiefs burst.
Side note: Most thiefs using the terms like noobs unskilled players would be nothing if they tired to play a balanced class like Necro Eng or Ranger and lack the skill to play something that takes skill like an ele.
If it was really just a noob stomper like people that want to have a broken faceroll build claim then you would never see it in Tpvp teams.
While you are engaged in a fight a HB warrior can one shot you without you having a chance to respond.
Thiefs ability to burst is even more broken the games is a skill less spam fest at time with fights that last a few seconds at best. The burst needs to be toned down.
Never do paids can’t say, but surprisingly I have seen a lot of these names in free tournies… must just be another sign of how small the actual pvp community is

Regarding the argument of some top players on teams using necro, they are getting carried or have comps that kind of fit the class but another could class could fill the role with no problems and probably do better.

I did the testing a bit ago, Scepter does more damage then axe in a power build.
The buff to axe number two did help but the issue is how terrible axe auto attack is.
Axe is useless.
Look at it this way, if a necro takes a skilled player to do well. What would a skilled player do with a stronger class….
Again there is a reason Necros are underplayed in Tpvp.
I put it down last post pick it up all you champion phantoms prove it and ill be shocked honestly will be, so post the SS of tpvp games won and title else stop talking.

For the record my condition Mesmer has smashed every single champion phantom I have played against. That’s not even considered the top Mesmer build but a tier 2 build. You think DS makes us ‘tanky’ lol you should see a Mesmer that does not spec glass cannon I have so many reset options on my Mes never taking damage in the first place is > extra HP.
Condition damage on my Mes is 1500 passive bleeds tick for 122-125 also have burning damage. Duelist bleeds on crit he stacks 5+ bleeds alone each attack cycle, thats just one ‘pet’, I wont waste anymore time I know the necro like the back of my hand and likely have more Tpvp wins on the necro then people arguing with me anyway.
If you think Necro is balance you flat out have not played Mesmer.
The casual pve and pvpers should be thanking people trying to get the Necro to a even playing field at high levels because someday you might want to play the class you main at a high level of PvP.
At least the class is moving in the right direction few bug fixing will put the class in a solid balanced spot.
Still a ton of walls of text from casuals saying the class is fine.
My win rate in Tpvp pure puging is 30% higher on my mes then on my necro, thats a large gap and im still fairly new to mes while I have hundreds of games under by belt as a necro along with WvW farming, yet I’m doing much better on mes in tpvp.
Why? Its simple Mes has game changing power that wins maps I wont go into theory crafting detail what the mes and other classes bring that wins games because i dont think any of you casuals care about the details in tpvp. I will again say there is a reason Necro is so underplayed in Tpvp and its a low percentage of top teams setup.
Show a few hundred games on another class in a screen shot because right now I dont think all you saying Necros are fine have played other classes in Tpvp or Spvp much.

Go warrior or guardian they will always be in a good spot other classes will be nerfed if they are stronger then those two. Damage classes will/are getting nerfed based on Warrior, bunker classes will get nerfed if they are close to as good as a Guardian (see ele and eng nerfs)
So I made a Mesmer a bit ago because I thought they were unbeatable OP gods. After playing and learning the class funny thing happened, I got really good at killing mesmers on my other classes when they used to own me.
I really feel if Anet had a /duel command the Mesmer are OP cries would go away because people duel to learn how to play against other classes. Right now there is no way to really learn how to play against good players of other classes without farming a ton or learning the class.
That said Mesmer I still think Mesmer is a solid class and not weak like some people here claim.
I rolled a mesmer after getting sick of my Necro. I’m much better at killing mesmers on my necro now, know what to look for.
Really wish Anet would kittening make a duel option so you did not have to make a class and play a ton of games to learn how to counter them and what to look for.
Two ways to beat a mes, heavy AoE damage or finding the real mes.
pro tip: Clones do not move backwards or sideways, enjoy.
second tip: When all the clones run up to you, dodge/block.
Good thiefs will never lose to a mesmer.

It does not take long at all to cast and it give 3 seconds of AoE fear, broken.
Every one please listen to jumper he knows his kitten. he used to run or is still running (not sure jumper only played you a few days ago :P) the bleed point harass build and is rank one thief.
Right listen to someone that plays one of the most overpowered classes in the game and farm just with that class.
I would give his input a glance if he also had a few hundred Tourny wins on a Necro or a ranger.
I made the change to OP classes I dont farm like nuts but my win rate is better in tpvp with stuff i just started playing then Necro that I know very well. The more I play OP classes the more I see how bad the balance is in this game and the more I want to flame all the so called top pvpers in this game that Anet is wasting time listening too.
Go with the data who is playing what and what is the win rate. Thiefs are doing very well in Tpvp no matter what bad thiefs that want to ruin game balance like to claim.

Rally it’s one of the best things on this game, not like all MMO’s ok, i did a little mistake so now i’m dead.. here is a second chance
So the player that plays to perfection in the 2 v 1 loses because you get a second chance over and over again if the other player is a bunker rezzing you again and again.
Its a terrible system… but wait we are talking about rally not rezzing. Your team should have to work to bring you back alive or you should have to make a choice self heal or damage the target. Automatic getting back up because your team just continued to attack and killed someone rewards zerging and burst not tactics. Right now it rewards brainless play like so many things.
I will never understand the mentality that we should not have dueling because classes are not balanced 1 v 1.
Then dont kittening duel if you feel perfect balance is a must before you even try. The /duel command being added would hurt no one that does not like duels yet it would really make alot of people happy. Its a pure win for a dev working on a pvp game.
/duel gives players nothing win or die no glory points no edge over other players spending their time doing Spvp other then dueling sharpens players skills.
For spvp to have team joins is just a no-brainer.
I want to play with others even casually, not just with my guild and not get separated from them when the map changes.
No then vent teams would abuse and farm random spvp solos just like what is happening in Tpvp free join.
They need rated tpvp matches based on rank and joining as a group. Solos would start against other solos of close rank. Groups would face other groups of close rank, or higher rank solos would face lower rank groups. Anything is better then just a random farm fest.
I HATE rally so many times some clown gets himself killed when the other team has multiple people in the down state…… They all get back up not just 1 all 3 happened at a keep fight today.
1 person get up for one death I could live it but all three got up. How the kitten is that skilled based game play that fight started 4 v 2 and we had three down when another from our team joined (glass ele in tpvp) was downed and killed that fast now its a 4 v 2 again but we already used everything we had so lost…. went from epic play winning a odds against us to pointless waste of time lost node and got zero glory for it.

Going to a empty server defeats the whole point of /duel while you are waiting for ques to pop of just chatting in MIST.
Community you have it or you die slowly true for PvP, heck I think GW1 PvP community would of been larger and lasted longer if they had duel commands in RA/HA waiting area.
If it was not a big deal the outside of capital cities in other MMOs would not have been packed with people just dueling, nothing else just dueling unbalanced as it is.
Yeah I made a condition thief, its strong gives up very little. It was one of the factors that had me shelve my Necro, not the condition thief itself but how limited Necros really are with builds and even the ‘best’ build is very specific down to the utility level. Its also easy to replace a Necro with anything and do better as a team IMO.
Can Necros be good, sure if the effort is put into it.
I had a two 1 v 1 against a rank 39 necro today in tpvp solid necro crushed him with my condition thief and I only have a few games under my belt as a thief…. Does that prove anything maybe, perhaps I just know what to expect because I played necro so much he did seem confused when I did not burst on him and was not glass at all. I would recommend all Necros make a condition based class Thief Ranger Mesmer etc… see how it pans out you might be shocked I was.
Condition Thief is strong I think its better then condition rangers to be honest, the bleeds stack so fast while in evade mode.

Unblockable, instant, massive aoe marks from 1200 range troIoIoI.
Three bleeds low damage…. remove conditions, good thief with a shortbow softening me up for a burst is much much more of a danger.
