I would like this, might even give me incentive to buy the carpet.
One annoying thing I just found is with the stand in the wrong spot, you need to stand in exactly one spot. I was under the dragon, got knocked about but did not get the achievement, if I was 1 pace forward I would have. A little too finicky for my tastes.
Still think the fight itself is fun.
Why Anet? Why would you make such a gold sink for an armor set that looks EXACTLY the same as the old ascended gear. What a pathetic design. There is absolutely no point in crafting the new gear. Unfortunately, I learned this too late.
Well, if you, for example, have a zerker ele, you’d probably want to craft a brand new condi armor for your necro instead of simply converting your ele armor (unless you want to delete the character). Also, I have both ascended celestial set and zerker set on my ele, because crafting celestial armor is timegated so I don’t want to just convert it to zerker stats.
So yeah, there is a point in crafting new gear
No, what you do is craft a new set of ascended armor, soldier or some cheap stuff and then you convert that to the new stat you want. Way cheaper than actually crafting the new stat armor
I’m too lazy and horrible with numbers to do the math here, but does that actually work?
Depends, the new items that need jewelled patches with the fulgurite quantities make it very worth while just converting. Otherwise can’t see much point.
You can ‘make’ a precursor exactly the same way you could ‘make’ a precursor before HoT was released. Craft weapon of choice either rare or exotic and throw it into the Mystic Forge. Odds are not huge but no one is stopping you. The crafting option you get with HoT is frankly long, expensive and you are still better off crafting 3 or 4 ascended weapons of choice with different stats and using them, the legendary skins are very much a personal taste type thing.
Need to do all the released and to be released wings to get it, not going to be in game for quite a while.
People seek conformity. They want their opinions validated. If their ego is big enough, they believe their opinion is the right one and will freely tell everyone around them that they are wrong.
Many complaints stem from their belief what the game should have been. A false construction based on what they picked and choose and read into from the news and rumors. And when the game doesn’t resemble this ideal image in their mind, they feel betrayed even though it was of their own doing.
Honestly their should be a Psych or Soc class on game forums.
I am sure a university somewhere has courses on online psychosis, games just fall under that category.
Because they can. Can you imagine having a conversation for longer than a couple of minutes in reality with some of the more vocal people on these forums? I personally would go insane if I could not walk away.
They said Shatterer would be level appropriate for that zone. Was not surprised at the difficulty. Kind of a fun fight actually.
Need HoT, level 80 and have started mastery of gliding. Then Tuesday it is game wide.
why necro this?
Grats on the two guilds getting their halls. Now the collecting of stuff begins. Rumour has it though that the crafting aspects are going to change, probably not the base requirements of stuff though.
Do you need LWS2 to unlock the purchase of these Sinister Trinkets at the Bandit Crests Vendors such as the one found in Blue Oasis – Silverwastes?
I have the trinkets from completing the story achievements yet earlier today when I traded this Vendor in Blue Oasis I saw she had a selection of ascended trinkets, among which an amulet belonging to the old Master of Whispers with the same stats as the “Caithe-Amulet”.
If these trinkets can be purchased without even owning LWS2 then your argument is slightly invaled. they’d be locked behind a wall made out of Bandit Crests instead of Gems.
Only unlocks when you have done the achievements in the story.
Why?
The game is set up so that you don’t lose anything by visiting lower level maps. Sometime it is even very profitable to go to lower maps since the bags you get on maps drop map level loot and mid materials are really expensive on the tp.
As was pointed out as well there are always several maps at the same level range so if you want you can’t move around easily that way as well.
The stats on those weapons are slanted towards what the strengths of the elits are. Easy enough to make or buy an exotic inscription of your choice and change in the mystic forge. I have 2 sitting in my bank from the collection and probably will have the shields sitting in my bank as well since I have several staffs (sorry staves for the easily upset) and greatswords already.
Items that are not white in the crafting menu give exp. Brownish color gives the most then yellow, green to blue. The top selection on the right side is the discovery tab and you can always play around with those materials to see if you can make a high level item that was not on the guide you followed.
They released last year, won’t go on sale until the fall if that. Retailers can be found that sell for less than the ANET site look around.
Doesn’t count because it is not symmetrical?
Yeah, wasn’t talking about Lions Arch.
I see where you are coming from, usually it is high volume items they do this on so not in the tens of gold. It does add up though, you spot it by seeing the gap between the low sell price, the asking price and the next high sell price. Usually they want enough profit to be able to see again to recoup the 15% commission of the system.
Humans have 2 cities.
It’s funny because I made a thread offering to show people how to get around HoT and not a single complaining person took me up on my offer.
As I’ve said many times, and will no doubt say again, it’s better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.
I might consider taking you up on that offer. I love VB… I love gliding, so this makes sense. I have literally completed the VB map 23 times — no exaggeration, each of my 80’s has completed that map. That said, I can not stand TD. I’d like to think that I’m a decent player, but that map just annoys the crap out of me. I’ve been playing MMOs for almost 15 years now, and I’ve never cursed at my computer screen while trying to navigate a game map, like I do what I’m in TD.
I don’t know if you have re-done the map but gliding is really good here. Glide from the whisperers wp to Teku Nuhoch with minimal ground time, two different routes. Glide from whisperers to dragon passage wp without actually touching the ground more than twice. Use the wallows to get everywhere else. It took me a while to find these routes and I am positive there are others but it is possible to get around without interacting much with mobs.
Do not post anything, leave the blank as blank and problem goes away.
Don’t post a second time is the best fix for the bug.
Fine, they lied to you and should burn for it. Live life to its fullest I guess.
They did not say they were not working on an expansion. Not even close to that. They said they were not sure how they where going to release the content. The debate was whether to do so entirely through living story or through a traditional paid expansion or through a combination.
That’s actually not correct.
Eurogamer.net (03/07/2013)
“So right now we’re not really looking at expansions as an option,” lead content designer Mike Zadorojny told me[…].
“It’s something that’s on the table but it’s not something we’re focused on, because what we want to do is – our idea here is that with Living World, we can do what expansions would have done but do it on a more regular basis.”

And so on. What they actually not said was: “expansions will never be an option”. But it is safe to assume that the development of the expansion as an actual expansion began relatively late. It includes content or features which have been developed before the decision to release them as part of an expansion, but in order to release an actual expansion they shoved systems and content out of the door before they were throughoutly playtested and ready for the live servers while holding back finished ones resulting in the content drought before the HoT launch. The result is are the varying degrees of quality and some larger and quite a lot of smaller issues and questionable design decisions that they might have been able to avoid under other circumstances.
How is what I wrote any different then what you quoted?
failure? i dont think it is, not from my perspective and i doubt from anets either since they are sticking to that plan of making more xpacs
it had flaws yes but what we did get was very good
If you remember a few years back they said they weren’t working on an expansion and didn’t not want to as they wanted to do more living story big patch content dumps. Well in order to make money they needed an expansion and finally made one and well it definitely feels rushed.
They did not say they were not working on an expansion. Not even close to that. They said they were not sure how they where going to release the content. The debate was whether to do so entirely through living story or through a traditional paid expansion or through a combination. They choose to do it via the traditional paid expansion route. There were people on the videos explaining various aspects of the expansion pre release who said they had been working on the content since soon after the main GW2 game released.
I just claimed Gilded Hollow for one of my bank guilds and it took 4 of us to do so. The only problem is that there is a mob spawn site near the centre of the map that the target is not in the same place as the actual damage zone but aoe an untargeted attacks work on it. I would just try it with the numbers you have, it does not cost to do it again. Also the more you have you run into 2 spawn sites at the same time, with 4 there was only 1.
Got I hate this song. Keeps getting played over and over again.
where do you get blaming the community from?
If you are half asleep maybe wait to wake up.
There is something I hear a lot….why is my bar not moving? I have points but have not spent them yet.
Well, I found out that once you get enough points to spend on any given mastery that you have chosen to “train,” you need to actually spend them before you can collect any more. I could not figure out why mine stopped after a time until someone told me this.
So double check those items you have check to learn (train) and see if you can complete them. If so, that might be why you are not acquiring any more yet. Seems you have to spend what you get before moving on to an new item to “train.”
This does not make any sense. Have never ever seen this getting 9 characters their new elite specs.
I am a solo player and really, really do not support this at all.
You need to jump through hoops to get to a place you want to get to by getting there in the first place? Odd.
PSA: infinite gliding is no longer infinite

Lean techniques also comes with the opposite effect.. use your backpeddle key and you practically stop in mid air (losing altitude while doing so) … there’s literally no reason to close your glider.
This.
You ask a games forum to post what they don’t like? Forums as a general concept hate everything. Change flips some people out.
Have never seen this myself. Only thing my pets won’t attack on those two is the icewall at Jormag’s Claw.
Do you have to go through Dry Top to get to Maguuna Wastes? I’ve been all through Maguuna (HoT) south of the wastes, and no way to go north. I can’t figure out even how to use the “lights” to go through Dry top.
Also, in Silverwastes, there is a small area to the north that I can’t figure out how to get into.
Your 1-3 keys (1-jump in the air, 2-move forward through things like sand falls, 3 teleport a short distance) will change skills with the ‘lights’. The northern silverwastes requires you to use a skritt tunnel from the middish area of the map.
Masteries.
You have used 15 points in your masteries towards something, either old tyria points or new HoT points (gliding etc)
Not a threat, just another game. Some people who play this game will try it, some will like it some won’t. Flux of every game in existence. Looks completely different, have not tried it yet so no clue but from a first glance it seems a fairly standard Asian type MMO.
EDIT: a quick glance at the forums and it looks exactly like this or any other forums for a game.
Frankly how you describe how you play is very similar to how I play now (and pre expansion). It is not a big deal, the only difference is that I am part of a small guild that does Raid attempts every week. Gold is not a problem since I get a solid amount just from what I do play, PvP I am not interested in. Dungeons I did when I needed to finish the only 2 legendaries I thought where cool.
Play around and don’t worry about lack of knowledge you will develop it.
You could try a bunker ele, or the fallback of warrior. It will be tough if you want to play in the HoT zones. You could always play the old zones when you are not feeling so well.
I personally really, really dislike when those are open when I log in. I always thought it was an annoying bug that hopefully would be fixed in the near future. I do not support the idea at all.
Would be neat. Would also be a huge investment of graphics design and coding which would spawn bugs, probably will not make it into the game.
What?
It says on it before you buy it. What more do you need in terms of hand holding.
So they got the item back plus gold but not enough gold? This is a huge issue?
In my head.
You get the cash or items for the legendaries then go from there.
You decide which route, buy everything or buy x and sell y.
Decide which you want to do first and start there maybe.
just by the waypoint to the priory at the head of the corridor is a NPC that will let you into the area and you can access the office.
About a game? Never.
If you mean you where verbal in PvP and people remember the toon name, no never then either.
