i dont think we need new ways of spending adrenaline since it depletes so fast anyways….
I actually ran a Mace/Shield, Sword/Sword build when testing out plex runes way back when, it works ok-ish.
Thing about M/S – LB, you have 0 mobility…
short answer: no
long answer: open world pvp is not necessary, that would be best kept to some kind of instance that a guild could que into instead. And trying to utilize the entire game-world for it would be a waste of time.
Special Learning Time!: The name “Guild Wars” has nothing to do with player guilds fighting eachother, it was a name created for the old guilds that occupied tyria who were at war already (Kryta, Ascalon, etc.)
1. This does not fix the root issue.
2. This will MAYBE cause people to play this build less, even though it honestly isn’t any different thanks to the root issue still being a problem.
3. Turrets needs a REWORK.
4. So its now encouraged to attack the turrets?
5. See attached :
I saw your attachment…do you remember Warriors still exist?
Not a hack.. there were quite a few ways to get out of the map but I thought all those methods were patched up.
it is a hack, actually. it’s a paid-for hack with a free trial. i personally know someone who’s tried the hack with the same effect (can go as high or low as you can, teleport around, etc.)
but let’s just say for a moment that it is NOT a hack. he’s obviously exploiting it to troll others in a game. that’s definitely a bannable offence.
It is also NOT a hack actually, it is a bug that was introduced with their spectator camera update. It causes a player to randomly spawn inside the Blue Team base (happens often btw, only on Foefire) and can sometimes spawn you outside the regular base boundaries which lets you free walk outside the map (on the mountains as well)

How about something like:
Power Tethering:
While within range of turrets, the engineer will take a small amount of damage when a turret takes damage.
-or-
Remote Backfire:
When a turret is destroyed, causes 1/2 second Daze to the owner.
-or-
Overheating:
Turrets build up heat while in combat, if they remain in combat for 5 seconds, they vent heat and become disabed for 3 seconds.
Hi all,
Trying to achieve the Lavish Llama at the current rate would be, as someone aptly noted, madness! The good news is, next week will bring some concrete details on how you can start earning them at a much more rapid pace through participating in select tournaments.
-Josh
And the reward for winning wvw week after week is …drumroll….6 greens after you make 3 more wvw levels.
Maybe Josh can take a look at the wvw achievements and fix those too…
you can blame Josh for a LOT of things, but don’t blame him for WvW or the rewards.
With that said, Weeks of busting your butts for rewards you can easily get by spending 5mins in Silverwaste.
Awww, thanks fo…..
Wait…
All shall be forgiven if you can pass that WvW achievement nudge onto the right people though? right….right?! 1,000,000 objectives is probably even more madness than 27 llamas :/
Hmmm, the Lavish Llama will now require 1,000,000 Mini Llamas.
well then, that sounds about right, how can you be so dapper, when all the other chaps in town have the same miniature! Preposterous!
1,000,000 seems adequate for such a luxury, to prove one’s worth in miniature format I suppose.
But all-in-all, the Super Miniatures are much sharper than a debonair Llama regardless good sir!

getting 30 points with heroes/hench is fully possible, getting 40 even
Added a video for clarification
So it seems to be directly related to Sons of Svanir it seems, I didnt get the same response from Separatists in Deissa….maybe i’ll try a few more, where is a decent place to find sitting/sleeping bandits etc.?
Seems like some of the NPCs in Wayfarer Foothills are non responsive.
In particular the Sons of Svanir who had pre-defined animations (sitting, lying down, etc.)
Do NOT attack back at first, in fact, they back pedal away from you with no combat at all, then start fighting a few seconds later.
I have never even seen a non-player backpedal before, it seems to be completely new tech/AI behavior.
Perhaps to be utilized in new AI function to move out of AoE or dodge attacks?! (that would be fantastic)
I will provide video proof if it is needed, easy to replicate though. But if asked, I shall make a quick clip.

It seems that the standard alphas/textures for the water in several PvP maps have been replaced.
The river in Forest of Niflhel and the water near the Waterfall point in Legacy of the Foefire are very noticable.
The effects seem overly bright, and do not blend with the edges of the terrain at all, making them look out of place, especially so on Foefire ( water seems to be flowing into the ground and disappearing into nothingness)
It definitely looks like the wrong texture or alpha is being used over the water there for sure.
I wonder if they could make it linked to the players pvp panel in a way. Like they have it set up for leveling characters. (higher level dailies do not appear for players with no access to them level-wise)
In order to try and get players to try new things, but giving them the option to not need to in order to complete the daily such as:
- Win 3 matches in sPvP
This would be standard, but would have an extra optional:
- Winning a match as X Class, X Class, or X Class counts as 3 wins towards the Daily Counts
These 3 classes would be chosen from the least played of that accounts spvp statistics.
For example, my “bonus” daily classes would be Elementalist, Necro and Mesmer, since they are the least played for my account. If their % threshhold exceeds one of the other classes, that class would take its place.
This would let people play their mains, win 3 matches, and be fine…or play as one of their least played and gain the daily requirement in 1 go.
I would love to have the option to drag-and-drop or just select and pool certain finishers into their own category, which I could randomize when stomping a foe.
Currently the random finisher option just chooses every finisher, but having categories we can customize to would be much better.
In the 5 games I’ve played the supply depot has tons of action early in the game and less so once a team or both start to lose gates.
At the very start of the match, ya, it is pretty much a team fight. Then after that people split up across the map, and it turns into a cease-fire zone almost :/
Currently the middle point is designed to be ignored as a point of contention. Players simply walk in, stand on the obstructed side of the supply depots and then run out (both teams)
Sometimes there are fights, but since channeling can only be stopped with CC, it is not worth the time.
Proposition:
- Reduce the number of supply camps to 1 in the central area to 1 and place it in the center. (encourage contention)
Optional Proposition:
- Lower the supply into a pit, removing the obstructed nature of the object.
Optional Addition:
- Add a flag/beacon to each teams base at the start of the match, if a player successfully brings the beacon to the supply depot they will gain a buff that awards each player 1 supply every 1:30. The enemy team can remove the flag and replace it with their own through the same process and flags only respawn when they have been removed.

4 Achievements that require A MILLION of their respective requirements?! WTF!?
The max level requirements are absolutely abhorrent. I million objective captures will take a lifetime, and all the achievements are like this
Interestingly enough, I was discussing some of the Swtor PvP gamemodes with someone and brought a few things up similar.
Huttball though, I would prefer to not see, even in Swtor it is heavily in favor of movement buffs/leaps and CC knockback/pulls….it would be even WORSE here
But something like Novare Coast would be interesting, conquest with a 2 cap requirement to gain points.
Or spice up the entire aesthetic of Conquest making it more akin to Civil War. Where you owning cap points has a visible queue on your progress of the match other than the score numbers (pew pew l4z0rz)
Voidstar, a simple 2-round attack defense on a timer, would cause some hectic battles, but may favor “defense” classes like Cancer Turret Engi a little too much.
And Hypergate is a cross between team deathmatch and capture points.
and the Arena battle mode is basically exactly the same as Random/Team Arenas from Guild Wars 1 (which was fun) 4v4 TDM.
What is the best looking? That is something that is completely subjective.
Like asking someone what the best flavor of soda is, everyone likes different things.
Choose what you like, but a few things to note:
Human/Sylvari/Norn are all very similar in how their armors look on models. Humans have no defining features on their models, they are pretty much “default”, Sylvari are more colorful and have a glowing effect in certain areas of their models, and Norn have the massiveness and tattoos which define them.
Charr are large, but their posture make it difficult to see some of their armor pieces, and they tend to have the worst issues with armor clipping and leg skirts.
Asura have some of the best animations for their attacks, but are very small, meaning it is difficult to see details in their armor and weapons, as well as have a very 50/50 look to their character models which can be hard to work with unless you want a “cutsie” looking character, or an insanely ugly one.
For the Asura rush, it happens to all races, same with sword 2, sometimes your character just flies in random directions, that is more of a game issue than a race one.
Personally (my opinion) I chose Asura for 50% of my characters (I wanted other races made too for story achieves) simply due to their animations and stances. Greatsword on Asura is a good indication on the vast difference in animations.
(edited by Zietlogik.6208)
The Devs seem to forget they had a previous game with good ideas in it.
While engineer jumps with a rifle, there’s a little glitchy twitch at the end of the animation.
it is like this for several characters, usually with a staff
it was actually from the March 16th patch…
Turns out that walking into the Idea Incubation Lab in Rata Sum now insta-kills you.
The new FoV is still broken when entering sPvP arenas due to the Spectator camera applying its own camera settings that override the new applied ones.
If he has no characters above level 22, you need to use the portal in Lion’s Arch
The shortcut does not work, and the screen button does not work until level 22 on brand new accounts, if it has a character above 22, then the shortcut will work, but the button will not appear until 22.
Just encountered the sound bug again, the one that removes all sound except the background ambient sounds, and crashes the game when trying to exit (hangs/stops responding)
I don’t have issues with most warrior builds playing pure glass LB/GS ranger….least of my worries is the completely immobile hambow, kite and shoot, you win.
It isn’t even about utilization, you have an Aoe Cripple, knockback, stealth on one weapon set, and a charge/leap, daze/stun, block-knockback or ranged cripple on the other…also the last auto attack in the chain evades.
(edited by Zietlogik.6208)
I think my charr Warrior just said “Lyssa confound you!”
I can’t be 100% certain since there might have been a human nearby… I thought it had been fixed, anyone else noticing anything…?
I haven’t heard the voices in a bit, but I have heard ranger’s pet whistle from across the map a few times.
I’ve started running into this weird problem ever since the latest update. It doesn’t happen every time, but it happens enough that it’s starting to really annoy me.
Whenever I WP or go through an Asura Gate, my camera gets stuck at the WP/Asura Gate, but my character is clearly moving. I can see the little character tab on the mini map MOVING, but my camera is stuck, and it’s not stuck for a second. Sometimes, it gets stuck for maybe 10 seconds, if I’m lucky, but most of the time it gets stuck for 20-30 seconds.
I attached a picture where you can see the WP I’m at, but in the mini map my character is far from the WP.
You are the only person so far, from what I’ve seen to have this, or at least report it….but that it a strange one, the camera doesn’t even move on the minimap either which is strange.
it was like this before as well, it just makes a call when you get hit by any skill that would CC you, and applies stability :/
In case people didn’t see it:
Bug Fixes:
- Updated condition damage. Previously, a condition that had a fractional remainder of time after it dealt damage would not inflict the rest of its damage. For example, a 1.5-second burn would deal 1 second of burning damage, then fail to inflict the remaining 0.5 seconds of burning. Conditions will now deal this fractional damage either at the beginning or end of their duration, depending on when the next damage pulse would occur and their remaining duration.
I think conditions are still broken. Etc burns from my guard are ticking inconsistently at times still. Would be helpful if someone can post kitten of this happening cause I didn’t ss at that point ><
By the sounds of it, they changed how conditions work at the end of their timers now, so its a mechanical thing, not part of the bug…maybe :/
1350×690? might be the problem, weird resolutions will do that to any text sometimes
So they re-broke guild chat it seems? or was there a workaround people needed to do?
It is strange, I did some tests in sPvP as well and noticed alot of obstruction for no reason too. We both stood at opposite ends of Foefire mid point and show arrows and strafed back and forth (normally would just dodge the arrows)
But 60% of the time it would actually show “Obstructed” which is strange.
I had this happen during a match against a thief, they attacks all came through fine, but they were still invis and untargettable.
I have it in my list: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Bugs-from-16th-Patch/first
Updated the OP with some of the fixed stuff, and added the music bug
EDIT: Updates my OP with new entries after looking over the thread.
Please only try and post new bugs below this point.
It makes it easier to manage
The voices seem to be even more frequesnt now than they were before, perhaps it has something to do with buffs applying to people around the map?
They fixed 2 bugs with the last patch, some server crash and the vendor bug…that’s it?
every time you go into a pvp map it resets this way too. They made a huge mess of this patch
What if, instead, they opted to have a system that would sub a player out of the opposing team?
Say the match just turns into a 4v5 (someone leaves) a pop-up would appear asking who would like to volunteer to sit the match out (15 second timer) if noone chose, a random player would be put into spectator, making it a 4v4.
Very rarely does a match go below 4, so it would work in theory…maybe
My PoV resets after entering any PvP map….every time…
But another list of bugs for you to pass on:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Bugs-from-16th-Patch/first
May as well make a collective list of random things people have found during this patch:

What is this thread about exactly?
Nothing in your daily routine is the same as mine, does that mean the game should cater purely to you?
If all you do is run dungeons and craft, then perhaps you should either a.) branch out and start trying new things, or b.) find a new game to fill the needs you have as a gamer.
I play meta builds on classes I don’t enjoy playing, just to attempt to get into their playstyle, but end up hating it.
But never play meta on my main because I enjoy playing it how I want.
