Example on weapon traits for Hammer Warrior
Minor Weapon Traits.
- All hammer skills decrease cooldown by 20%. The standard one.
- Staggering Blow now knockdown instead of pushback.
- Hammer Swing and Hammer Bash are now AoE but do less damage.
- Hammer Shock immobilizes foes instead of crippling.
- Fierce Blow do high amount of damage instead of weakening your foe.
Backbreaker is the same, let’s not change that one.
Earthshaker is the same.
Major Weapon Traits
- All hammer skills have 5% chance to cause vulnerability.
- Staggering Blow cause 5 stacks of vulnerability.
- Hammer Shock have a bigger radius of 240 degree.
- Hammer Swing and Hammer Bash have 10% chance to stun.
- Fierce Blow ignores armour.
- Backbreaker now hit up to 2 foes near your target.
- Eartshaker has a decreased cooldown by 20%.
Earthshaker Burst ¾ 10 Jump to the targeted location and slam your hammer down, damaging and stunning foes.
Hammer Swing ½ Bash your foe.
Hammer Bash ½ Bash your foe again.
Hammer Smash ½ Smash the ground and damage nearby foes.
Fierce Blow ¾ 12 Weaken your foe with a fierce blow.
Hammer Shock ½ 12 Smash the ground and send out a crippling wave.
Staggering Blow ¾ 20 Push back nearby foes with a staggering blow.
Backbreaker 1 30 Knock down your foe.

Make these scrolls increase your level by 20 even if you’re higher than 20. I have a lot of these on my alts and want to level them up and they are above level 20. They are pretty much useless unless you start a new character which i won’t as i already have like 10 characters.
We need a whole new traitline for weapons only for all the weapons for each class. You don’t want fear on staff for necromancer? change it with traits, make it do something else. Rather than swappable weaponskills i think this would be better and easier for ArenaNet to balance.
GW2 had traits for weapons only in alpha but ArenaNet removed it.
Most conditions stack in time and not in intensity. If all conditions stacked in intensity and had different active times depending on what they are used for that would be a lot better. Poison is pretty much crap in PvE, unless you do fotm and there’s a lot of healers in a zerg.
I rather have all conditions stack intensity and not duration. Bleeding is the best for damage, yes.
That’s a bug reported a long time ago but ArenaNet haven’t fixed it yet. Don’t know why.

I hate the pets for Ranger. They are poorly done and suck.
More skills for existing weapons, let us change skills.
Any class as long as you have gear for your level or near your level and put trait points into offensive/defensive traits. Elementalist is easy to die with if you don’t know what you’re doing, same with Thief.
Capture points is a solid PVP mode and shouldn’t be removed,
but I do agree that we need more modes. Capture points gets boring fast.
We need an arena mode – last one standing wins.
Capture Points is far from solid. It doesn’t deliver in fun and it’s not fun to watch. Not e-sport material.
GW2 SPvP with Capture Points can never become an e-sport, it’s boring and it’s boring to watch. There are a few examples on ideas to make it better, but Capture Points was the worst thing you could have chosed ArenaNet. When have Capture Points mode ever been fun in any game? it was ok in Unreal Tournament but there were much better modes.
Onslaught mode is a good mode, kill each other and the one with most kills win.
Then there is MOBA-style modes (one of the best for e-sport)
Then there is a new mode which is like arenas but more complex. This is inspired by Hunter X Hunter and the Heavens Arena, which is a tall tower you fight your way up to the top.
You start at the bottom and the higher you get the better the enemies and better rewards and if you defeat a floor master you become floor master of that floor. If you lose too many matches you have to start over.
You can challenge a floor master whenever you want.
When you get to 200+ floor you only fight for glory. No rewards. So only the best would fight.
Then there’s Battle Olympia which is the top fight and if you win you get to live on the 251st floor in a penthouse.

This would be the ultimate PvP. Please remove Capture Points and add this instead. This would be a lot more fun watching than the current SPvP. These would make great tournaments and E-sport material.

Let Ranger use Dagger in main-hand and Sword in off-hand.
Dagger in main-hand: Skills cause Bleeding, Vulnerability and Blindness
Autoattack bleeds on third attack (cause Bleeding)
Second skill is a short leap and 1 sec knockdown (cause Vulnerability)
Third skill is a high damage attack (cause Blindness)
Sword in off-hand: Skills cause Fury and Might (both buff pet as well as you)
Fourth skill is a high damage attack (cause Fury)
Fifth skill is a 1 sec stun attack (cause Might)
An easy fix for targeting with skills etc. Whatever your cursor is targeting is what will be targeted by your skills, like in Tera. ArenaNet chosed to go with oldschool targeting instead, which is boring. I want real action combat.

I haven’t read it all but i think i know what you’re saying. You want the pets to attack with you and dodge with you and let us customize more skills, like adding a F2,F3 and F4 which you can activate. I think so to, the current pet is just so weak and you have little control over it.
Sorry pet, if you don’t function with me, why would i want you as my pet? bad pet, no food for you for three whole days. If i could i would release all my pets into the wild.
You can’t evade when using sword autoattack. The only thing that sucks on the ranger sword. Timing becomes..non-existant.

No one like rangers? hah. All classes are pretty much even, just 1-3% between the least played and most played, Warrior is in the lead. If minis are so easy to produce, then make them follow you better and not 500 meters behind you or even add some other mechanics to minis.
GW1 had ranger pets which was hard to get and took a lot of time, which was an achievement in itself. Current pets are normal animals, nothing special. I don’t care if they copy pasta skills from other pets, i just want them to look better, as ranger have pet 100% of the time unless you stow it (but then you lose dmg and F2 abillity etc), i’m tired of my ugly bear, of the spiders and the birds, birds got nerfed hard in damage by 50% and are easiest to kill ,lowest hp and armor.
Running away is still not a counter or a counter against stealth thieves. This new addition which reveal stealth is, it will be in next update so not really worth discussing how i should fight a stealth thief without it. In next update Rangers will be the best counters against stealth thieves. People will appreciate Rangers more in wvwvw now.
I don’t like the minis, they are too far behind you and don’t follow you properly. If they change how they follow you and so on they would be a cool addition, but as it is now they shouldn’t prioritize them at all. I rather see them work on new ranger pets than minis, minis aren’t a core-feature or not a core-feature to any of the professions, it’s really just useless crap. Ranger pets, new ones, exotic pets, legendary pets. Make it happen.
100% uptime build on stealth thieves are useless. their only purpose is to survive. Quit chasing them and the build will disappear. because their only purpose is to trade one usless build on their team (theirs) for multiple useless builds on the other team (anyone who wastes time on them). When you don’t chase them, they are only a liability for their own team.
Still, there were no way to counter a stealth thief before, unless you could stunlock him which rarely happens. It was either be killed or run away. Running away shouldn’t be a counter, running away should be an option to a sitatuation in a fight, just like dodging enemy attacks.
I like how ranger will get skills to reveal stealthed enemies, that’s a great counter. When thieves can be stealthed almost 24/7 they are almost 100% sure to always get away and survive to come back and kitten your life up. This new update will change that ridicilousness.
Good idea! especially the first one. That gives it extra immersion and a better bond to your characters and makes it more personal. They have to work more on immersion and bonds with NPCs, that’s for sure.
I’m pretty sure everyone remembers Trehearne, but everyone hate him and i’m sure most remembers Tybalt with his apples, but in a positive way and Destiny’s Edge are also memorable.
Not many other NPCs are memoreable, which is a bit sad and if you look at your own character, who are you? i know who my main Sylvari Warrior is but that is because i’ve been roleplaying with him for a bit, which gave me immersion and personal characterics to my character. With my other characters i don’t really know who they are.
Edit: I think ArenaNet should have focused more on NPCs in the story and outside the story, like in dynamic events and bring forth chemistry between characters and also bring forth characters and give them something you will remember about them, either if you hate them, like them or they scare you, disgust you etc. They did a poor job on this with most of the NPCs in the game.
Do anyone know or remember anything about the leader of the Kodans? i sure don’t. I probably have to go to a website or watch woodenpotatoes videos on youtube to get a grasp on who he is, but if he lack personality i maybe won’t even remember him, so it really doesn’t matter.

Mechanics or skills that one shot you and are instant are the worst. How do you counter? you don’t unless you’re lucky or have block/blind up at all times.
Yes please. I don’t know why they didn’t do this from the start, they are account bound so you can’t profit from crafting them.

It’s a rework, not a revamp. Some of the ideas are good, but i think they can do more things that that, more interesting mechanics.
I don’t want it to turn into another Tequatl fight. Make each boss fight unique. The branded idea is good but should be done in a different way, it would be unique for The Shatterer fight.

It’s something else to whine about a new feature coming out and just a few days before its release they announce it’s going to be in beta and only for a limited amount of players, while they have advertised this new LFG Tool to release with the update 17 september. Players will be coming back for this update, a lot and they can’t use the LFG Tool. Not a very good strategy.

There’s a really unique and cool looking necromancer armour from gw1. One of the henchmen have this armour, i don’t remember her name but it looks like this.

Staggering Blow: This skill can now be used while moving. Reduced the cast time to 0.5 seconds.
Wow, just wow! now it’s going to be even more fun to play hammer warrior. I really disliked the slow activation of hammer skills and how you would be stationary at times. This is a great change.
Also healing shouts got buffed, which is good.
Vigorous Shouts: Increased the base healing by 25%. Increased the healing stat scaling from 80% to 90%.
We need new ranger pets. I’m really tired of the mini pets you can get in every update and they don’t even follow you properly, they stay too far behind you.
If you add new pets you should rank them with exotic and legendary and make them look really cool, exotic wouldn’t take a huge amount of time like legendary but the pets still look better than the current one and the legendary pets would take a lot of time and look really awesome, like the phoenix in GW1 etc.
I have this really cool looking gear and my pet is either a bear, a drake or a spider. I want something more, something that shows i have explored and played my ranger for a long time. It shows i’m a dedicated ranger.

The content wasn’t really much tougher in beta, if at all. It’s mostly perception based upon unfamiliarity at the time.
It was much tougher in beta, at least in the first cbt but got nerfed in second and third and at release it got nerfed again. A lot of dungeons have gotten nerfed as well.

I think we can all agree that mobs were overkill in the betas, but at release it was actually good and the reason why people got turned off is because they didn’t know how to function as a team without a tank and fully dependent on your own skill to support your team and yourself.
The current game is a bit easy, i think they should buff mobs more and add more mechanics but with this buff they need to sort out CC which is the kind of support you would use a tanky character. CC doesn’t really work very well in PvE and is pretty much useless against bosses with their defiant which ignores the next X-XX CC skills.
Game is too easy now, you need to make it as it was at launch (tougher mobs) and with a few changes to support/support skills, mostly CC. Also add new skills and traits.

I agree, but cc is worthless in PvE. So it comes down to just timing a dodge and auto attacking.
CC isn’t useless in PvE. It is useless against bosses though but not against thrash mobs and veterans. You can slow, chill, poison, stun, daze, blind, torment etc. If they made condition builds more viable CC would be much more appreciated and also do something about CC on bosses.
