Back to OP, nice post and I mostly aggree with you. Dragonhunter is a very nice spec (at least for PvP) and doesnt need big changes IMHO.

a REAL Elite spec for Guards that actualy make sense………
Virtues should keep their passive after activation !
And lower their passive intervals by 50%
and active CD by 50%
then we can start reworking the virtue trait line to actualy do something…..
Buf jalis ? are you freaken crazy ? they allready almost unkillable Knock spamming CC machines lol
they should be reworked or buffed ALLOT
the healing Virtue needs like 50% buff to its passive healing ( Not the active one )
The virtue that gives aegis needs to apply it every 20-25 sec instead of freaken 40 sec ( 40 sec realy ? you engage in pvp and die or win befor it even reaplies itself looool )
The burning one is well not that bad like the other 2 realy ( i think the burn duration could be increased by 1 sec.
Not a single Guardian or Dragon Hunter in the world first raid kill.
I tolled you this would happen, with the constant nerfs to Guardians, the horrible Dragon Hunter, the constant power creep every other profession has received, and the new powerful elite specs others have received, there is no reason to bring us anymore to PVE content.
What is the role of the Dragon Hunter?
It offers less DPS, less group support, less healing, less everything! Our core traits, skills and virtues are far superior in every way! The only reason to go DH is if you want to roleplay or do open world zerg content.

Well, they’re technically not the only profession that doesn’t have a spec that fits. Druids don’t fit rangers either. :>

abilities that are actualy make sense as a guard….

just replace Traps with ground targeted consecration skills
and rename the spec
and bam allready better ( could go into it waaay deeper but whats the point )
now i just gonna buy Hot and predict that my guard don’t have an Elite Spec……
as a guardian player atm i feel Shafted ignored and screwed over

I´ve been training Martial Arts for half my life and I personally don´t think this is a very good addition. I know, suspension of disbelief and all, but unarmed combat has only been used on the battlefield as a rare necessity, and even then usually not in military style conflicts. It just makes no sense to move into battle unarmed in a medieval fantasy settting. Historically, unarmed martial arts has only been used against armed opponents due to oppression (not allowed to own weapons, eg Okinawa) or because of ethical restrictions in an act of self defense (eg. Chinese monasteries).

well, your flaw here should be rather obvious even to yourself, but I give it a shot and try to explain. Even suspension of disbelief is based on adhering to concepts you create within your fantasy. An example: Premise A – Magic exists and can do x,y,z things. So you can do that in your story/world. you cannot do u,v,w without breaking the suspension. Weapons and armors exist in GW2, so there are rules similar to real history in this regard. This isn´t really too hard a concept to grasp. Next time before you try engaging in satire you´d like to check the premises for a minute or two.

Devs could implement ANYTHING AAAAAAANYYYYYTHIIIIING.
they just need to find a way to make it Fit into the game World with Lore/game mechanic.
the DEVS choose if they Wan’t to folow some Rules from IRL or not when designing basicaly ANYTHING.

I think specialisations and the new class revenant are the most important stuff.
you know BIG fundemental changes to your character that you play and control and fight and immerse with , 100% of the time while playing …………….
you know one of the MAJOR stuff that is unique in this game. the Combat. and these are changes to that.
everything else just filler for me and for allot of others.

the build is rety good with Both berseker and cele amulet.
but you need to move traits arround depending what amulet you choose.
but always take the meditation healing trait.

so there is NO issue with that name for a guardian.

personaly im playing on MAX and outside of HUUUUGE Zergs i don’t have a single issue with the game.
and i don’t even have a BEAST PC lol.
this game just needs More game modes like 2-3 each of them with atleast 2-3 maps
and a working Ladder system.
and a reward system that rewards you with Unique stuff that only can be get from PvP.
and from here we can start talking about esport and Actual balancing.
i sometimes just wan’t to left the NPCs behind and go do the stuff myself without them screwing everything up arround me when i finaly start making progress.

No, we need to go further than just dual wielding them. Warriors need to be able to wield four greatswords at the same time. They will have to wear jetpacks to move though, because they will be using both of their arms and both of their legs to wield the weapons.
need an 5th in the mouth.

I guess players, like me are waiting for more…important information, I mean yes it’s a nice touch, we hope it will be well implemented and not something we get sick of in 20 minutes and turn it off. But this is not something we really wanted to know…there are far more important things in HoT players are interested in. And the last weeks blog posts were really bad and time buying in my opinion…dissapointing even.

They said themselves somewhere the Revenant is sort of a “brawler” class, even reflected in the traits such as ones that reduce damage taken beyond 600 range and so on. It somewhat will be, but inevitably it will also have some ranged options. But unlike anyone else, it will likely be made to be the most viable “melee only” pvp class otherwise many weapon sets will be useless.
Another thing to keep an eye out on: Hammer Engineer. And Sword Ele.
