It sounds like there is a voice saying something at the beginning there… can anyone make it out?
So diid anyone get the last one?
nope not yet… start searching map by map?
how do you discover the hidden ones? I got the first 2 by typing in the coordinates on MMORPG, but I don’t know how to reveal them otherwise.
The logical place for one of the hidden items would be somewhere an elder dragon would be…
I’m only at 6/9 and only 1 video… I think I suck at this…
The biggest risks have the biggest payouts and the biggest losses.
The best thing to do is diversify. I always keep my investments spread out over at least 6 different things. My payoffs are generally pretty low, but it provides a steady income with the occasional jackpot.
I’ve never lost money, mostly because I buy items near the vendor price when possible, but I have only broken even a few times (stupid gossamer and silk).
And other times I kick myself when I sell too early (stupid ancient bones)
It comes down to the chat logs:
If you kick someone with no discussion near the end of an encounter for no perceivable reason then invite a guildy to complete the encounter, you will be banned if the person reports you.
If you attempt any negotiation at all then you are safe.
It was pretty obvious they were faked. They actually fixed necro and made them a viable class, something Anet would never do.

The jetpack was always just based on luck. I ran that stupid dungeon 78 times during F&F to get it and it never dropped.
All the jetpack signifies is Anets stupid policy regarding temporary content and RNG.
Opened over 300 alliance bags...

Heirlooms come from rubble piles (40 per day) and citizen saving bags (minimum of 1 from each standard bag and 4 from each ultimate bag, but they can contain stacks of 5 at random)
You need to save citizens if you want the heirlooms.
I highly doubt this. And I find it dubious and a foolish attempt to insult the poster. How do you know he wasn’t joking around?
Because we seem to get this kind of thread started almost weekly? Anyone can create an account to do a bit of trolling you know.
well anyone that spends $50 to buy the game…
To the OP. The game seems pretty stable population wise at this point. People will argue til the end of time about what that population is, but as long as you play on one of the big 3 (BG/JQ/TC) you will have plenty of people to play with. Most of the other servers are struggling but the only thing that effects are the major events like Teq and Wurm.
Warriors are hands down the most popular PvE class and for good reason. They have the following:
1. Highest base HP
2. Highest base Armor/Toughness
3. Highest landspeed/mobility without having to waste multiple utilities to do so
4. Highest average damage (ele can get higher in ideal situations, but that never happens in normal fights)
The only thing they don’t offer is the team defense abilities of a guardian. So unless you want to be the team defense then there is no reason to play anything else other than a warrior.
$12.50 Charge for Convenience of Lions Arch
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: ZudetGambeous.9573
This shouldn’t be surprising to anyone, they’ve done it before and they’ll keep doing it more and more because as you can see people love being taken advantage of.
This is why you should always play games with a sub if you can. They don’t charge you for convenience, they put it right in the game. They don’t charge you for new armor, they put it right in the game. Content is permanent in sub games because you pay a sub for it. You get expansions because they don’t need to waste all their development making cash grabs because you pay a steady fee. P2P games will always be better than F2P games.
Go play sPvP if you want 0 progression.
WvW is designed to reward participation and commitment.
you only seem to have 16 vision crystals worth of frags… that’s not even enough for 1 precursor. Might want to keep saving…
Did i miss somethings. I’m pretty sure Anet never talked about the price of a precursor crafting yet. Maybe some leak? Do you have a source for that?
There is no confirmation that these would be involved in precursor crafting. It would also be curious to see how a T7 mat would result in an exotic weapon (precursor).
However, be prepared to have non-tradeable/time-gated materials to be used in precursor crafting in order to keep the value of precursors from crashing.
-T7 mats
-Mithrillium/ResidueThere will also more than likely be other materials that will act as sinks that can be tradeable. I honest to god hope that leather will be used to make the precursor/legendary books.
I fully expect precursors to be upgraded to ascended when they introduce crafting for them. That’s just what I expect, no real reason.
Zodical Armors : Lore breaking content

Based on the number of people wearing it I’m going to go ahead and say they don’t give a kitten because they have a freaking money swimming pool.
People have to keep in mind that they can’t really balance stuff based on player-controlled things.
Yes, today it is much cheaper to do it with Leatherworker than with Tailor.
But what about in 1 month? Maybe the materials would cost much less and thus a lower requirement tailor recipe would suddenly become MUCH cheaper than everything else and so on.
I would agree with this argument if this wasn’t a LS item. However you can only obtain the mats for this item for the next 2 weeks. Hopefully Anet can figure out what the prices for things will be over a 2 week period.
Also Anet did control player prices when they made bolts of silk take 50% more resources than the steel and 100% more resources for the damask over the deldrimor.
The price of the damask is pretty much exactly 150% more than that of the deldrimor which is the price that Anet set.
If you are referring to the leak from December that was admitted to be fake like 100 times then no they were not in the patch because they don’t exist.
you only seem to have 16 vision crystals worth of frags… that’s not even enough for 1 precursor. Might want to keep saving…
Recipe: Sharpen stone station. Single use?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: ZudetGambeous.9573
Yes they appear to be single use and are NEVER under any circumstances worth the price.
You would need 180+ people to use the station to justify the cost of making one over distributing the regular version to everyone. Since most maps cap at 150 people it will never be worth it.
Well i sure hope someone died in the attack, for now it seems everyone and their grandmother survived-its kinda silly.
Where did you get that idea? All the main characters survived… but of course they all knew the attack was coming so that makes sense.
Otherwise we only saved ~1500 people lore wise. Since the city has a population of ~50,000 I’d say that quite a few people died…
Let’s not forget the enemy casualties… I’m pretty sure i’ve killed more aetherblades then come countries have people.
Cost for a single use superior sharpening stone = 12s for 30min or 24s an hour
Cost for a single sharpening stone station= 7g*5 + 20s*30 = 41g for 1hr
Number of people who would need to use the station for it to be worth it =
4100/24 = 171
Since every map has a cap that is lower than that there is NEVER a situation in which you should use the station.
Is everyone’s server so empty that they can just willy nilly go to WvW for these things?
It would take me 2+ hours to get to WvW to craft or use a laurel vendor…
Child casualties despite evacuation events?
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: ZudetGambeous.9573
Well in the other lore present in the game LA is estimated to have a population of ~50,000.
We rescue 1500 people on a “perfect” evacuation… so yeah…
One word, Districts
Let everyone choose where to meet up at.
you do realize those have a cap that fills up and forces you into a different district as well right?
It is literally the same exact system… the only difference is one has a number at the end.
Lion's Arch burning in the PS. (spoilers)
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: ZudetGambeous.9573
Psst, technically its not happening in the past. Its all happening at the same time.
Granted, it does feel a lil goofy, but their only other option was completely re-doing the whole thing, which means getting voice actors to re-do lines possibly in a new setting, and yeah…just not worth the actual money and time to re-do that content. Go with it.
Huh… it’s been confirmed like 100 times that the personal story takes place 1 year before the current LS.
OP report this as a bug, it can’t possibly be intended, not even Anet is that lazy.
Keil is just your typical democrat, spend other people’s money to make yourself look good!
I won’t be happy until Leather sections hit 20c at a minimum. Hopefully that happens during BoTW
I’m hoping it goes up to 2s just like silk… then I will be happy.
That would turn my measley 200g leather in the Pick-up tab worth 4800G.
But it would have be an awfully huge sink considering hundreds of other players are probably hoarding leather as well.
I highly doubt that t5 leather will skyrocket as its consumption is tied to consumption of t2-4 leather. In relation to those, there is just too much thick leather in the game.
Rugged Leather Sections already hit 5s because supply is getting low.
It will not likely spike unless they change it to 100 sections instead of 50 like they did with silk.
Or if the new precursor crafting books use 100+ sections each and aren’t tied to lower tiers.
There are certainly ways for it to be done, but there is a lot of excess right now that will need to be drained before that happens.
T5 and T6 are crashing as well. Not sure why, those don’t drop in the LA instance…
I won’t be happy until Leather sections hit 20c at a minimum. Hopefully that happens during BoTW
I’m hoping it goes up to 2s just like silk… then I will be happy.
Yeah they shouldn’t go that far. The event should end at the portal.
Also make sure you kill enough to get event credit. This is obviously not what happened here, but I have heard a lot of people complain they don’t get credit simply because they didn’t actually kill anything during the event. You need to see at least 2-3 +800xp’s pop up during the event or you won’t get credit.
I’m really not following how this is ANet’s fault, nor problem. ANet doesn’t control the market, we do. If Tailoring is so expensive that’s not ANet’s fault it’s ours. That’s what supply and demand means. Obviously the demand for cloth is high, therefore it’s expensive.
Besides that, complaining about it like this isn’t going to do anything good. They’re more likely to increase the required mats in leatherworking to increase the price than they are to lower tailoring.
you’re right, I forgot that I programmed the game to:
1. Make silk bolts take 3 silk instead of 2
2. Made damask take 100 bolts of silk instead of 50 like all the other items
3. Made damask used in all 3 armor sets instead of just 1 like elonian and steel
we the players are so foolish for programming those things that made silk so expensive. That will learn us to do that again.
Why exactly is this a problem? You think Anet is going to constantly adjust the mats required due to current prices?
Let’s say Damask becomes cheap and Elonian becomes the most expensive in the game.
You think Anet would reverse the recipes then? When should they be reversed? By how much? It opens a pandora’s box.
Just suck it up and be efficient. Use Elonian Square if you are so paranoid about gold.
Why not? They consistently do it the other way around.
When mats become too low in value they change the recipes and make them more expensive and nerf the drop rates. So why exactly should they only adjust it one way and not the other?
Of course they should adjust it, one profession shouldn’t have easy access to an item that another profession can not hope to possibly obtain when it is meant to be a limited time LS item.
Here is a list of problems currently being experienced at least on JQ:
1. Civilian Counter doesn’t reset between rounds. No awards for civilian saves are given since we are permanently over the threshold. (currently at 7700)
2. Lawson event is stuck permanently. Since the instance does not reset neither does his event, cannot be completed.
3. Moa racing event does not award achievement for saving all 7 moas even if you save all 7 and get event credit.
4. Defense events have just stopped starting. Have been unable to get hold the line daily achievement because there are no more defense events to do.
5. Rubble piles respawn but the items inside them don’t. I don’t know if this is a bug or not, but it is annoying to search for them when you keep coming across ones that don’t contain anything.
Hopefully these issues can be solved soon, thank you.
I don’t understand why you would save these… This happens pretty much every patch… yet every patch people are surprised. You should always use up the limited time items/rewards before the end of the patch cycle.
The Tailor version of gift of blades uses 15 bolts of damask… while the leatherworker version uses 15 elonian leather squares….
I mean seriously? How did that make it past QA? One of those things costs a total of 15g while the other costs 300g….
The new back piece needs the following items to upgrade it to max level:
50 iron ingots
50 steel ingots
50 mithril ingots
25 ori ingots
10 shimmering dust
10 radiant dust
10 incandescent dust
25 crystalline dust
500 watchwork sprockets
15 of either Bolts of Damask/Elonian Leather/Steel Ingots depending on your crafting profession… i.e. leatherworker or kitten you.
(edited by ZudetGambeous.9573)
lol 3s… you should have been looking at the ignots… they went up to 50s. easy 100g.
Dust too.
kitten… my download is going at the speed of Anet…
I just thought (as I’m downloading) – what if my character is in LA? Will they load outside a gate or what?

They will still be accessible from Vigil’s Keep as far as i’m aware, they will just be more spread out and more laggy. The airship just puts everything closer together and makes it a smaller instance so you can load faster and get things done faster.
I think we should expect the Tengu soon™

I firmly believe ArenaNet has stretched their resources so thin trying to maintain the bi-monthly release schedule for the Living Story that they don’t have the resources to work on things like new races. I wouldn’t hold my breath if I were you.
Completely false. Anet’s LS team is very small compared to the rest of the company. Many other teams are focused on balancing, marketing, and even larger more pronounced projects for the game. They are the ones who have the potential to add new professions, races, areas etc. and it’s been a year and a half since they’ve released anything. So believe it or not the company isn’t spreading it’s resources thin at all, it’s your pop that makes it look kitten. LS is what sets up the lore and explanation for the larger updates to come up.
All these mythical employees… yet in 18 months they have yet to actually release anything…
I’m pretty sure if they had all these mythical “big” projects and “huge” balance teams they would have done SOMETHING by now…
the LS teams are it. If 18 months isn’t enough to prove this to you then I don’t know what to tell you. If there are some other teams that it takes them more than 18 months to add a single feature then they really aren’t worth having anyway imo.
woot another blatant cash grab! thank you!
lol lol lol that’s a good one, tell another.
New armor, lots of new LS items, and a chance at all previous LS items… nice…
This patch seems like a good one.
I know, stupid Anet… it’s like those kitten Russians… I mean how DARE they hold the Olympics according to their time zone. I work all day come home and they are Kitten Sleeping! They should be doing the events I want to see on my time, i’m a kitten American!
Oooh, good idea on the mini helmed Moa, just grabbed one and there only need to be 10 sold before I make profit (and it’s a price they’ve recently reach anyway). Fingers crossed Moa racing is gone for good
The helmed moa hasn’t been obtainable for almost 6 months. It isn’t likely to increase in price at this point since everyone who wants one already has one.
The mini yellow moa on the other hand was obtainable until this patch. That one will no longer be available after today and will likely go up 2-3x in price at least, if not more.
People are starting to sacrifice themselves in LA by jumping to their deaths… It is getting ugly in LA already…
5 minutes until it is officially “afternoon” for Anet.
Prepare to post about how it is afternoon and still no patch!
As per one of the path previews they said that the toxic alliance is going to destroy the races and they are unsure if it will be rebuilt, and even if it is it will be a long time from now.
Spend the tickets now, or say goodbye.
