Have to admit i have wondered from time to time while running past some of the Charr equipment.

You guys have a 30ft tall tracked fortress with 4, 6 inch cannons why the heck am I defending your camp with a rock tied to the end of a stick?

We see nothing wrong with this just and lawfull treatment of the Separatists, these radicals formenting revolt against the crown refusing to pay taxes or respect our authority.

After studing forums, my first choice was D/D and I was immediately disappointed by very limited range of all spells. I looked like I played a melee caster, which was exactly opposite of what I wanted. Every fight included insane kiting and trying to stay in very limited range of my spells and at the same time avoiding enemy melee because of next-to-nothing defense. A veteran mob could two-shot me very easily.

Ok i have altitis and 8 character slots so i was going to make an Ele eventually and last night did. 80 ranger 80 guard 80 thief 30 -40 mes war necro so ok not new to the game but D/D ele is awsome at least at low levels ok its not a warrior but facerolling the key board just isnt fun.

Spider event 6 waves 4-5 spiders at a time np, veteran wolf ok a tough fight but a win, yes standing in the one spot facetanking the mobs is not the way to go and if you prefer a root and nuke style a D/D Ele isnt going to be your thing but the damage they can put out is fantastic.

Look up the WvW tables find a server that is anhilating the other two, transfer.
Take off all your armor to avoid repair bills run round naked for a night picking up the locations job done.

To maintain a stable economy Anet wants x drops say for rares thats 10,000 a day game wide.
Come November that Rare “pool” is now shared with fractals as well as the previous areas to allow for the rares/ectos etc dropping in the fractals the loot in the other areas of the game must be reduced to maintain the same level.

Anet sees 10,000 rares dropping pre november and post november and says there is no problem nothing has changed.

People who dont run the fotm gravy train see a change from a rare a day to a rare a month and are justafiably saying WTK.

Yes yes Guardian can tank to an extent, but if everyone except you is running away and you can’t follow them, you’re gonna die.

This isn’t to say mesmers don’t have it rough in the movement department, but it could be worse.

I usually play a guardian and after watching the zerg disapear over the hill so many times descided to muck about with my baby mesmer, a comparison.

If you look at the price of lvl 80 gear on the TP MF stuff is almost always the cheepest apart from the sword of lameness type items

The market simply isnt working, speculators driving the price manipulators chasing bugs we had 70s potatoes for a while. Its not just the price of precursers its the whole trading systems needs work.

Only had a rate of 20% myself its the problem of rng to get items rng to get ectos breaking them down rng to get the clovers from the forge.
Some people will get lucky some people will take 4 times the effort for the same result.

I never understand this line of thinking and it always happens in the WvW threads. “You guys brought 400 people to take a tower, bunch of zerg noobs”. Why wouldn’t you bring that many people if you have them on the map?

Well they could just walked in and looked. That tower had no walls or defenders for about 10 mins before the golem showed up. I was starting to wonder. Maybe they were scared of my lone Charrdian.

I am wondering if its a bug or some thing was changed but last night i saw the way point wasnt contested ported into a kitten nightmare. What about half a dozen catapults Champions and half the zombies in Orr isnt contested?

When a way point can be locked down by a spider and 3 spiderlings i doubt this was working as intended.

Might be nice though to be able to use contested way points ( at your own risk armor repairs will not be refunded ) land sprint for the dungeon/node/POI rather than having half a map locked down.

Ectos get the stains out make your gold whiter than white

15% to launder cash is probably a pretty good return if you get away with it but with all the ways of tracking transactions you can bet they know who is trading what not just who is transfering gold. A guildy got flagged just from breaking down large numbers of items for the ectos when the price was over 30.

More likley what your seeing is people loosing thier shirts trying to keep the ecto price up, look at spidy when prices peaked there were 3000 for sale now there are 500,000 and the price has only droped 20%. There will be a break, some one will dupm the 1000’s of ectos they have been hording waiting for the price to hit the high 30’s again and accept better to get 25 than 5. At the moment there are just too many people making ectos and too few buying for the price to stay where it is.
Perhaps when they are some where in the 15-20 range things might stabalise.

400 in 5 crafts dabbled in the others maybe broke even on a few but no way to make money. Sure if i was lucky like the guy that threw 40 daggers at the forge and got dusk yea but knowing my luck it would be like the guy who sank 200 rare swords into the same pit for 0.

Dynamic events sure in october before the nerf bat hit every event that gave you more than porusbone and a few copper.

TL;DR – Everything in the Gem Store has no value. They are virtual items that give you benefits from the game, such as boosts or different looks/skins to weapons. You cannot sell these items for profit. You cannon sell these items for real money. Therefore Anet is doing nothing wrong. Case close.

You do how ever buy those items with real world money. A 50 inch plasma TV has no real world value once the 60 inch comes out

At least in Arizona those “virtual” goods are real enough to be included in divorce proceedings a grey area and far from case closed.

Gems on the currency exchange are in limited supply. Only the gems sold for gold are available for to buy for gold.

Actually they arent, gems and gold are all just number on a server, those number can be changed at any time by any amount for any reason the people controling those servers deem neccesary.
It would appear from the trending of the spidy graphs that some market forces are in effect, that does not mean that tommorow some one will not descide that the rate will be set at one gem for one gold or 10000 for one.

Past performace is no indicator of future results in a completly artifical market.

Again, I really need specifics. I’ve never into this issue on the live server, or while testing, so I’d need to look at the exact spawn to see if anything odd is going on.

Wish i had recorded where now i know there is a min time i will keep track of where and when but there are times, there is a sort of double spawn.
mob dies, bing same mob type same spot in 0.0001 seconds
Ok im a guardian things take a while to kill some times, does the respawn timer start from when the mob dies or from when its killed? Though even with a 30sec respawn mob it seems more like some thing is triggered on the death of the mob
