Lets face it there are three types of people in pugs.

The hey im happy your awake resonably sober and at the key board during the run and can listen to the occasional suggestion. Your build doesnt matter.

The sprint sprint sprint..your running past every thing not fighting your build doesnt matter.

The i play an every thing better than you you should have different weapons/stats/armor/sigils/ utilities etc…donest matter what build you have or how much you do they will always tell you you sux and they could do it better.
You build doesnt matter because nothing will make them happy.

tldr: Play what you like and enjoy it.

OP’s complaints are valid, and are easily remedied if ANet makes laurels purchasable through karma/badges of honor/skills points etc.

Which defeats the whole point of getting people out of LA and playing the game. If you could trade tokens for laurels people would just do speed runs for them.

The same for doing them on multiple characters, start toon do daily delete start toon etc etc 30 laurels from a weekend grind.

Ok in a few months when people have rings and amulets and laurels are sitting in the bank if you “miss” a day wont seem so bad but i understand the OP’s point i feel guilty if i dont do the daily atm.

If once a week you got a daily double ie miss the previous day you do twice as much today for 2 laurels it would give people a little more flexability.

a 30 day limit on buy and sell offers would clear a lot of crap out of the TP perhaps one day

The keys and chests are obviously a ploy to get people to buy them for gems. However, there is an easy way to get a guaranteed key every time. All you have to do is level an alt to 7 or so and do the level 10 story quest. The reward is always some junk and a black lion key. Can be done unlimited times so long as you keep making alts.

only problem is there no longer seems any thing in the chests worth the 30 mins to level up an alt

Have an 80 guardian and 80 ranger pls a baby ele and mesmer i play the Guard and ranger because they are so different.

The guard you know the ranger compared to that is dancing like a charr on a hot tin roof i may not have the strait dps of an ele or the group utility of the mesmer but the ranger is just fun sword dager, zephyr, quickness sigil quickness on pet swap Ye haa

I though i would farm there a while for flowers spent hours there for 1 flower, farmed the Kakas easy enough on a ranger, pet takes the machine gun opening after that their easy, some thing like 6 shells from three days and some junk

Not an easy place to get about, not a beginer friendly place and not worth your time drop wise i like the zone i wish i could find a reason to go there but there isnt.

It should be a choice you want to sell advertising space on your toon or their items Anet should ask if you want the logo on the rump of the Unicorn.

That said Anet can advertise on the back side of my Norn if they like, considering the size i think a free precourser would be adequate compensation for that much add space.

Thanks for the reply Ursan i do understand “inflation” as a term what i am missing is the term for a single item break out. As Eolirin pointed out the market as a whole is not inflated just a few items or sections of it.

The non economists here have been calling this inflation which is incorrect if we had the correct term we could avoid some of the angst and allow us to get the conversation on a more productive track.

Slightly aside but if there are people with too much money and many with too little, yes grin you know where im going Viva la reveloution.

Why not a sliding scale on the TP? People starting out say till they have their first 20g (based on gold held or gold earned over time in game ) pay 0% first 50 5% up to say for those with 100,000g in the bank or a single item over 500g a nice Francois Hollande rate of 75%.
You may need to rename one server Belgium for those wanting to jump ship or if you set your language to Russian you get a flat 30% rate.

I feel like you still don’t understand inflation in an MMO economy. Inflation will only occur when gold taps outpace gold sinks. Players farming more is offset by players buying these “luxury” items at a higher cost (more listing fees). Rising prices of luxury goods will NOT cause inflation. Our understanding is on the level of i killed 100 skrit yesterday and could afford 10 golden sheep with the drops today i kill 100 and can only afford one sheep what happened.

I see much the same with legendarys ok there is no "inflation " in the economy what do you call it when one section of an economy takes of like Usain Bolt with a habanero in his shorts while the rest of it is stable perhaps if we were all using the same terms people would be less confused.

continue till you hit snow forge glade

dodge, harvest,craft and events done all while picking up the new title

Elementals telegraph pretty well, dredge cannons.
Anything that has multiple projectiles can proc at least once but probably more if you dodge it.

Dredge cannons are your friend slow easy to time attack they sit there and dont chase you plenty about in starter areas with no other mobs about.

try the ones near the new refugee event while your doing the quest.

also at least in my audio setting i hear an audible note when i get the dodge right, if you just watch the cannon ball and listen its simple with a minutes practice to get right every time

Actually i probably would, i have no interest in Dusk mains are ranger and guardian. If i got lucky tossing trash in the mystic toilet i would rather sell it to a guildy for 500 than sell it on the market for 900

There is a simple solution its called being nice to people who dont play US times some servers realised that and no longer have a problem

That said lets not stop at tanks the Charr death star is almost operational get the asura to work rather than a fortress for the centre of the eternal battle grounds a 3D sphere now that would be a fight.

By unsustainable price he means that people have manipulated the price of claws and fangs above their equilibrium price. Therefore, without constant intercession by the manipulators the price falls back to the equilibrium price. Hence the price is unsustainable.

In contrast, if someone buys up all of the stock of some item (precursor), relists it a higher price, and that higher price becomes the new norm, then the higher price is sustainable.

Yup what he said. Mid January the prices on a whole raft of crafting materials jumped in price by roughly 100% both t6 and t5, the cost to craft any thing was becoming prohibitive. I and other crafters i know stopped crafting and sold off mats because i could make more from the raw items than i could making and breaking or crafting for sale.
People who craft one item to use may chose to pay a higher price but they dont burn through many mats. People who make large numbers of items burn though hundreds of mats when the components are priced too high to make that worth while in my opinion that price is unsustainable.

That said i like the new dailies, they take a little longer but the rewards are way beyond a jug a coin and a silver, people to rez are easy to find, NPC’s seem to die in droves, dodge find any event that uses siege weapons wait for a red circle …dodge, gather easy, kill things doing it any way.

What is destroying the climate is the lack of Pirates, those few that are left are in Orr and with the changes are now endangered..

Reloaded GW2 yesterday after a rebuild and yes not all of the download was gw but 16g total. Now considering the amount of code that is if Anet says nothing has been changed its safe to say nothing was intentionally changed.

It doesnt preclude that variable 103963b in line 9345772 of the code wasnt changed instead of variable 103963c when they adjusted the number of feather on the chickens in queensdale

That said the peak appears to have bee 38s slight increase in number of ectos and slight drop in price now

Unless you have inside information no one else has how do you know people arent leaving in droves, i would say 80% of my guild are no longer playing regularly of the firends that were all so excited about the game during Beta only one now plays and that time is shared with other games. Of the 3 mil boxes sold how many still play on a regular basis?

Well 2000posts and a couple of months later few answers fewer solutions, seems that Fractals are the New Game Enhancement moment for GW2

People posting whats your drop problem i get 6 rares a lvl10 fractal while people in Orr get one a month. The result of that feed back OMG people in fractals get drops nerf them.

Now on the eve of the 28th the new system arives.
There wont be any drops you run on your little wheel like a good hamster ( ie do the daily) get your token and eventually buy some thing.

Dont expect any replies dont expect any fixes this thread did its job to minimise the fall out till the new system was introduced now you have drip feed rewards for any thing else buy gems and convert them or do what most of my friends have done go play some thing else.
