But small unit take out 5 things while the Zerg is still bogged down on one keep
Herald running wingman to the leader necro laying down mini mine field or just Mesmer having fun roaming
Beats pve kill loot rinse repeat
No build/gear checks Perhaps the only part of gw that is still play your way

what would have been nice to know that fractals would be required before spending 3 weeks making two thirds of an item.

all the useless foxfires and gated mats made from junk sitting round in the bank i could have sold off for a nice pile of gold. Now i have some thing that looks like a particularly agresive melanoma. thank goodness i checked dulfy for the recipe for the third stage before i wasted even more time and gold.

If only there was an alternative, make fractals the “quick” way for those that like them and give those that would contemplate root canal as a better way to spend an afternoon a alternative, say 25 exotic essences .

Yay for the people that want OMG thats hard content if one little corner of sparkly fen is dedicated to then i dont care i just wont go there and it wont affect me.

What is still true for most people this just isnt a fun way to do it.
I have what i think is a good system 8gig quad core HD7800 but:
with the ping all the way to little old NZ and the crowds needed for the event
I find it becomes a game of whak a mole where im the mole and i start one step behind

Simply coating all of an area with overlapping one shot aoe adding a horde of champions doesnt make things fun it just makes things hard.

I rez people because it helps some one else and i appreciate it when some one does the same for me.

If the game where we work together has reached the stage where people cant spend 10 seconds rezing some one with out getting some sort of beifit for it there are bigger problems than whats in the daily.

We need two versions of the cursed shore.

Version one for the first time you go there, the way it was where the mobs were so tightly packed get arround was like comuting in the Tokyo subway. Version two how it is now so people realise how much easier it is.

I gave up my first time trying at 75 went away leveled to 80 got full exotic and went back and could just get from a to b alive on a guardian with a golf bag of condition removal.

Now ok it is bad in some spots but i made it on a level 75 in rares right round to pen with one death in one trip i know i sound like the “get off my lawn” guy but really in my day you couldnt see daylight between the mobs in Orr it is a lot easier than it was.

When i was doing the quests i thought the same, killing 100 mobs with the new weapons i though there might be a chance for a ticket to drop during the instances or one as a reward for completing everything. Ok stick extras in the box you want a 2hander and a bow you need to play BL lotto but the rewards did seem a little underwhelming.

Helped the walking wounded check
Found the lost carkeys check
Did both instances check
reward about as much karma as 20 minutes of pen/shelter events and a cute fire boost that was opps single use.

Good point the Drop rate could be equal but i guess a lot more 2handers go into the magic toilet

I may be mistaken, but it would be my guess that “all precursors are created equally” in the eyes of ArenaNet and the calculation of the drop rate from a loot table. What I mean by that is that if comparing Dawn, Dusk, or The Hunter…..their chance to drop from a mob is equal to the chance that Venom, The Bard, or Carcharias could drop.

Based on your data i would question your assumption. You see legendary two handed swords every where you go how many times do you see the predator? 15 dusks for sale no hunter. If The Energizer droped as often as Dusk the tp would be swimming in them. I would assumn that there is a bias towards the “more popular” skins some where in the code, which has been thrown out a little now some skins got an upgrade.

The question would be is OCD the correct diagnosis and or are there multiple reasons for obsessively collecting skins/pets/titles?

But if your always number 1 dont you end up controling every point on every map at some stage? If you were always last i could imagine a problem but not one being always first.

Perhaps a solution, a WvW sit in, get everyone on JQ to sit around a camp fire and refuse to fight so you get to be blue ( this suggestion is in no way affected by my current server….. well only a little )

The problem with DRB’s is they got tired of floppy eared purple elf land and the grind of a game where every 6 months there is a differnt colored sheep to ride and gear with 0.5% better stats that means you have to throw away all your old stuff and get the new stuff or no one will play with you.

Sadly the DRB’s leave FPE land buy other games and then demand they be changed to be the same as the game they just left.

This game does not have raids it does not have vertical progression ( well almost) it doesnt have mounts and does not and hopefully never will have pandas.

This was all explained many times as the game was developed, if you failed to read a single review before buying the game i am sorry this is not what you expected. However the game is ( for the most part) how I and many others like it, it is unique it breaks the treadmill aproach of just about every game on the market please dont try and change it to a clone of the 50 other games out there go play one of those and let GW2 be GW2.

Have both and really the ranger just doesn t compare, on both you shouldnt think of just one weapon think rifle/xxxx long bow/ (on my ranger) sword dagger.

Ok you dont have a pet to hold things off but then pets are prety much broken any way.

I usually start with rifle 5 them when they get close then swap as they run in the second time works and i can kill things on the warrior i couldnt on the ranger.

Just dont get wrapped up in one weapon warriors can use the whole golf bag carry them and use what works

I think there’s only 16 aces in a deck, but this is a good idea. Fortunately, the RNG item this time is weapon skins, and, as they look a lot like the kitten weapons from GW1, I have no interest (so, no desire to waste real money on them).

look at the back of your computer, you will see a cord ( usually black) extending from the computer to the wall.

Remove the cable, no more titles.

A: Scrap PvP there will never be PvP balance so trying to achieve the impossible just wastes Dev/programer time
B: Make every one in WvWvW a D/D Asuran Ele, class balance solved, you only load one model for every player lag/culling solved, stealth problems solved, pet problems solved.
C: Work on PvE with out breaking things trying to fix “problems” in the other two.

Content added to a lotto system that 500 “tickets” get you nothing is basically content not added.

Dev: I could do some awesome new flame coated ancient weapons people would love but it will take me 3 months to do the programing and check all the clipping issues for every race.

I admit im a slow learner my first toon in GW2 was an engineer, my second a ranger, my third a thief i also tried the others but i realised before the patch that if you Pve on any thing but a warrior your just making things hard for your self.

The devs even used the word “insane” to describe how good warriors are in pve yet another patch with warriors up rangers down and eng still broken.

Say my 1% damage per unique boon idea is right, and you have 5 boons up during an engagement. That’s 5% extra damage that’s coming to you. If one of those boons up is protection, which gives 33% damage reduction, you’re still reducing 28% incoming damage even with someone who has boon hate hitting you.

Only thing is if the boons are stripped i dont have that 33% reduction any more, i guess we will see.
