There haven’t been any more tournaments, that’s the problem. The whole weapon set is inaccessible.
its kind of awesome that way. the weapons all basically say ‘i am a wvw vet who competed in tournaments’. much more prestigious than if you could get them with badges from eotm.
im jamming clerics shouts (ham axe/sh) and it feels pretty tough to me. sure, not tough like pre patch and those shout heal nerfs hurt but still good for playing.

this amulet used to be great pre shout heal nerf. duel intel sigils for the big final thrust or evis. base heals got nerfed tho, and now we get a measly 15k instead of the old 2k pre patch. shout heals need about 300-500 added to the base 1k, or better scaling. clerics only gets 2.2k instead of the old 2.5k which is a shame considering how much damage increased.

i use clerics amulet in pvp on my warrior. however that’s the pvp amulet as gear does not matter.
currently you can change the stats on ascended weapons and armour for quite cheap, so if you end up not liking the clerics stats you can change them. zealots might end up being meta for rev anyhow.
why would anyone NOT want two handed battle axes?
same reason people didnt want Greatswords and1handed maces, back before the vanilla weapons were revealed publicly…

personally, while i do agree that peak performance causes issues with rampage i think both of these skills at base are fine. they make teamfights exciting and can be countered easily. I’ve had a bunch of games lately with lots of lich and rampage, and never feel powerless against them. a good counter to these forms, especially rampage is to kite the warrior (easy hes full melee) while killing and safestomping one of his pals.
im playing clerics hammer and its working just dandy.
its a weak condi build with good support. clerics shouts with ham a/sh has superior burst from eviscerate (with intelligence sigils ofc) and heaps of cc from shield, hammer, leg specialist, and of course rampage. condi warrior is poor for teamfights imo, power is much better than bleeds and the occasional burn.

How about just deleting the skills and creating something new entirely. Rampage already does/IS these physical skills. Rampage does stomp, kick and bulls rush (who cares about bolas).
Physical skills are bad because they’re a 1 time skill of the calibre that you’d see on a weapon skillset. No other class has such garbage utilities. Engineer has kits that each have 5 skills. Warrior has rampage that does these skills.
Delete them and create an entirely new skillset.
Or, replace rifle butt with stomp, make rifle skill 1 a 3-attack chain where the 3rd attack throws a bolas with his arm (good skill/animation like shiro sword) and change rifle 4 into kick which also applies vulnerability.
There, rifle fixed and physical skills fixed. They are now on a weapon set where they belong.
Now let’s make new skills – minions or something idk. Or meditations to be cool.

ele is mad strong. you should have some sort of cele ele on your team tbh. maybe even two.
fire field + 100% projectile finisher is a lot of burns if you’re a good shot. i use it in wvw on my p/p condi FT build.
to time to think got to be fast an aggressive. victory thru burns and stunlock
damage doesn’t seem that high when you get used to it. you get more out of playing well than you used to imo (because you get punished less).

In regards to cele engi, you are stuck in the past.
If you are nudging towards the power side you are wasting 2 stats, toughness and condi… Cele isn’t for engi anymore. Its okay on Condition based engis though.

peak performance is the issue not rampage imo
two of any class will kill you unless they are awful players. double endure pain will buy you time, but double zerk is not something you will live through.

Jeeze I don’t know what things are like on my server. I guess your right I just need to get in experience some wvw. I’ve been enjoying pvp and im thinkin I’ll enjoy wvw. I’m worried because all my Pve gear is berserker and I’ve been led to believe I’ll be an easy kill with that set up. I play guard, thief and necro. I Think it may be a bit difficult/expensive to experiment with gear in wvw.
it depends what you want to do, the builds for solo and small group are pretty similar, but it starts to change a lot when you hit 10v10, 30v30 etc.

I was running celestial before I read this thread, but I have since changed over to Rabid with Runes of Fire. With burning being as strong as it is and condition damage now being weaker until about 700 stat points, you really need that extra kick for your burns to hurt. And boy do they hurt.
This is what I’m running. It works quite well for de-capping, and puts very heavy pressure on 1v1 situations. It’s difficult to 1v2 with, but Elixir X is often very useful as a last resort.

if you go p/p run sigil of smouldering for another +20% burn duration, and chemical rounds for another 50% duration on your pistol condis. that gives your blowtorch insane burning duration, and gives you +40% with your runes for IA and IP.
Hmm, so drop Juggernaut if I go pistols? IP is really quite good, so I suppose it would mean my survivability is based on my ability to kill them faster than they kill me. Should I try to replace the loss in stability from Juggernaut with something else? Elixir B only does so much.

The Elixir Gun also has 2 elixirs built into it, so it actually seems to be more useful for HGH than an elixir would be. I liked Elixir U, but if they stun me right after activating it, then it is wasted.
Never thought I’d be earnestly running FT/EG in PvP and expecting it to work this well.
it’s actually got three elixirs built into it. Healing Mist, Acid Bomb, and Super Elixer all work with HGH. Egun is my favourite engi kit and i nearly always run it, but im so stoked that FT in finally viable. cool thing is both of these kits have blasts for the HT water fields.
i made a wvw p/p build and my blowtorch does 21k in burning its insane.
curse voice integration or something similar could be a nice half way solution.
skill requirement gone up alot, before you can play a dd or shoutbow and be just as useful as a good player.
now if you have no idea you get insta reckt, i like it when the skill gap actually means something.
same. its rad. people are like ‘warrior rampage 3 shot me OP’ and they dont even know the skills on rampage, then you see they ate boulder which has a 1sec wind up. the clueless get owned.
blast finisher heals scale with the healing power of the player blasting. so healing builds are even better at blasting than 0healing power builds, its why engi and ele run cele and zerg guardian runs clerics and hammer. why nerf healing and improve scaling, why not just improve healing scaling on class healing mechanics and leave blasts alone.
pve has awful ai and is mad easy, nerfing water fields wont change bad design.

Sorry if this didn’t work for you. Maybe you just had bad circumstances.But also almost every post of yours in this forum is kinda pessimistic and in negative connotation. You stated several times that warrior has no place in Spvp now , that warrior is only worth because of rampage and that all classes can beat warrior with minor to medium difficulty. I do not have these issues.
I won’t try anymore to justify this build to someone that thinks that warrior has no place in spvp. But i hope you change your mind about warrior spvp place in general.

my cele has the burning kick. trust me. Incendiary Ammo is doing 2800 per two stacks for me, and I’ve still got all the benefits of cele rifle (cc + power burst). sure carrion does insane burns, but you loose many cele benefits. it’s all about the aim of the build.

It’s also more of a Hambow-like role with a bigger focus on CC since you don’t have to disengage or pop a defensive cooldown everything someone looks at you.
BigZan played a great soldiers engi in the last EU monthly. it’s a valuable build. just watch the games to see.
why balance for people who don’t know what skills people are using and don’t recognise tells? normally the complaints from these people boil down to ‘they used cc then damage OP NERF NERF NERF’.

Engi was always a solid class, with many tools making it possible to deal with changing environment. All classes should be balanced like engineer.You didn’t get magically good since this patch – majority of other builds got nerfed to oblivion by enormous power creep. Engi will be always more or less okay thanks to the good class design.
never said i got magically good homes. just that i have to play better, you know like double blast my f1 water field an all. i didn’t have to do things like that pre patch because i didn’t need the sustain. i need it now, so i have to combo harder. it’s nice.
on the topic of nerfed builds, cele engi got hit hard by the patch. IP was moved out of explosives and and a bunch of other stuff were changed. healing bombs that used to be the base of my old engi build got deleted from the game, and bombs are bugged. i’m running builds that look nothing like what i was running before, and i’ve had to adjust my play a lot. old builds die, but new builds rise such is the nature of a revamp. abandon the old ways and move onto the new. i still see people trying to run old meta and getting owned, ya gotta move on.
engi has mad bugs atm. like bomb kit is unviable because of radius bugs smh

sounds like warrior on BDO. chain grabs and slams. so brutal. grabs in gw2 would be a dream come true.
the ability to wield an Axe two handed with a sized up model would be the most creamy thing anet could do. won’t happen tho, so i guess im just gonna be partially hopeful for duel pistols.

that’s what i run for m/sh ham. more cc (imob and fears) mo support. still debating sigils and perhaps moving back to mainhand sword instead of mace for final thrust and more mobility. i feel like if you are going to bunk you should run the AOE heals.

tbh you should just transfer to a t4 or above server. i used to be on a dead server, and the move was well worth it. i hardly miss fergs at all.
