Add to Destiny’s Edge!? I was kind of hoping they’d subtract from Destiny’s Edge. I’m thinking the removal of about five members would be just about perfect.
Darkace, you can have that without having both the city and the starter zone named the same (it’s already annoying that there’s an area in Caledon Forest named “Dominion of Winds” despite it not actually being within the Dominion of Winds city – now imagine if there’s that area, the city, and the starter zone all named the same…).
What I’m saying is that I hope the region is called “Dominion of the Wind”, which consists of a city and several distinct zones. I’d love to get four or so zones that run from 1 to 45ish, as I’ve already run the Maguuma Jungle leveling path twice since asura and sylvari share that region. I’d love if it turned out that way, but I seriously doubt it will.
I went back and talked to the Tengu there at the gate; and all he says is that this “is their dwelling, the Dominion of Winds”.
So it either could be1) Odd developer error
2) Or all the tengu lands are under the name of the “Dominion of Winds”
3) Dominion of Winds is a lot larger than previously mentioned or told.
I’m hoping this is the case. Otherwise we’re just going to get a starting city that funnels into Caledon Forest. Given the choice, I’d much rather have a starting city with at least a few lower level zones with a unique Tengu flavor (architecture, Renown Hearts, Dynamic Events, etc).
I hope not. It serves no purpose other than kitten wagging, and Guild Wars 2 would do just fine without more of that. If you simply must fight another player one-on-one, pick any of the empty sPvP maps and slap each other around to your hearts’ content.
Let’s discuss the possible addition of new weapon skills.
As someone with multiple “mains”, I’m spending an equal amount of time on each of my characters. Each is built in a way so that it plays in a completely different style than the next. I don’t switch weapons around on my characters as a means of enforcing this disparity in play style. And this has worked wonderfully at keeping things fresh. Any time I feel one character getting a bit repetitive I simply switch to another.
But if this game is going to last the seven+ years the original has, eventually the same five weapon skills on a given character are going to get old. So I’m wondering how, if at all, new weapon skills will, or even if they should, be added to the game. Possibilities are entirely new weapons (i.e. two-handed axes, crossbows, etc), customizable weapon skills, or some kind of “capture” system akin to Guild Wars’ elite skill capturing system.
If it’s going to be new weapons, what kind of problems is that going to create regarding traits? Are they going to have two-handed axes share traits with greatswords and crossbow traits share with longbows? Are they going to add entirely new traits? If so, where are they going to put them?
If they add customizable weapon skills, will that allow us to change the function of a weapon? Will it be possible to change a warrior’s sword from a condition weapon to a direct damage one? Will it be possible to make an elementalist’s staff more of a single-target weapon instead of an area of effect weapon?
And if we’re allowed to change the function of our weapons, will everything become homogenized? And how can PvP balance be maintained? In PvP, if you see a warrior with a greatsword, you know exactly what his weapon skills are. But if he’s allowed to change them, “know thy enemy” becomes less of a strength.
The last possibility I mentioned is some kind of capture system. I can envision us purchasing a Signet of Capture for a sum of silver (or gold) and a hefty sum of skill points. I don’t know if it would be better to a implement entirely new weapon skills to be captured, or if we used the signet to capture weapon skills used by other professions. Either way, it would allow for some small measure by which we could tailor our weapon skills to our desired play style. It would also open up another level of theorycrafting and meta builds.
So, what are you thoughts on the subject? Do you think they should implement new weapons skills at some point in the game’s future? If so, how do you think they should go about doing so?
In the first Warhammer MMO (the one that died during the development, not the one that died after release), they wanted to have single orcs “band” together when their paths crossed. This would continue until the band was so large it constituted a “horde”, at which point they would attack the nearest settlement. Of course, that game was never anything but concept, but I still think it was a cool idea.
Sidenote: Another cool idea was the skaven race was to be played by the developers. So any time you saw a skaven in a city, you knew trouble was coming. Again…concept; but still cool.
There is a chance the guild events will be hard and they say they reward new stuff. I’m not sure if that means new weapon/armor skins but I think there’s a chance.
I doubt it. If they make them difficult, the smaller guilds are going to complain that the large guilds have an advantage. And God knows there’s already enough complaining around here as it is.
I find it amusing that, as of the time of my posting this, the topic directly below this one claims content is becoming too difficult for casual players to complete.
They did. Tons of them, in fact. They come in two varieties: Dungeons and Dynamic Events.
Raising the level cap serves no purpose at all.
It serves the same purpose the original level 80 cap served (as opposed to Guild Wars’ level cap of 20), a time sink for players who need that constant stream of “’at a boy”s.
Wish we had climbed on his back
No thanks. I’ll take boring over ridiculous every day of the week.
Casual Player = someone who enjoys a game for the gameplay.
Hardcore Player = someone who feels compelled to obtain the best items, complete the achievements, climb the leaderboards, etc.
One can be a hardcore player despite only playing an hour or less a day just as one can be a casual player while playing a great many hours each and every day.
Thanks for the replies, guys. I appreciate the feedback, and hope to receive more.
I guess I should have gave mention to my utilities. I run Arcane Blast for self-combos, Arcane Shield for when things start to go badly, and the Signet of Fire for a bit of extra damage against trash mobs or a long-lasting burn against Veterans or better. Against burning enemies, I’ll be inflicting an additional 10% damage, and another 10% while in Fire Attunement.
A rotation of Eruption, Unsteady Ground, Frozen Ground, Ice Spike, Flame Burts, Meteor Shower, and Lava Font is usually sufficient to kill any enemy before they get to me. In the case it’s not, I usually knock through Static Field with Gust before starting the rotation again (CD’s permitting). Burning Retreat helps against melee attackers, Magnetic Aura helps against ranged attackers, and Arcane Shield helps against both.
I haven’t quite settled on a healing skill, but I’m running the glyph at the moment. For my elite skill I’m running the Glyph of Arcane Summoning, as the Earth Elemental makes a nice tank when soloing.
I am a writer. I understand WHY people think the end is unwhelming, but I didn’t find it underwhelming. Other people in my guild didn’t either. That’s because you’re playing a game, and I’m reading a book. It’s a completely different approach to the game.
Okay, take the game out of it. Assume what you see on screen is the mental imagery inspired by the words you’re reading from a book. In what well-written book does a dragon the size of Zhaitan with the powers to raise armies from the dead and reshape the planet lose in such a meek fashion?
Hello all. I’m turning to you guys for help tweaking my build. I’m mostly an open-world PvE’er, and I spend more time soloing than not. I intend for my final build to be very much a glass cannon, but I’m not sure exactly how to finish it. I will be running a Berserker’s Staff with a Sigil of Air, Bererker’s Armor with Superior Runes of the Elementalist, and Rampager’s Trinkets with Coral Gemstones.
30 trait points will be in Fire with the Ember’s Might, Burning Precision, and either Internal Fire or Pyromancer’s Puissance traits. 20 points will be in Arcane with the Elemental Attunement and Blasting Staff traits. For my final 20 trait points I’m having trouble deciding between Air and Earth.
If I go with Air I’ll get extra Precision and Critical Damage, and I’ll take the Bolt to the Heart and either Arcane Lightning or Air Training traits. If I go with Earth I’ll gain extra Toughness (which, along with Vitality, I’m sorely lacking at the moment), Condition Damage, and I’ll take the Salt Stone and either Stone Splinters or Serrated Stone traits.
Any feedback you guys can give me would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
This is where ArenaNet’s lore team made it’s most egregious mistake. They gave us dragons the size of mountains with the power to corrupt life and literally reshape the planet. They wrote them “big, bad, and scary” to give us the impression that the world really is in need of saving. But they wrote them too “big, bad, and scary”. The dragons can’t win, but there’s no way for them to lose without destroying any suspension of disbelief.
A party of heroes…even the greatest heroes on the planet…wouldn’t scratch one of these dragons with a sword or a staff. Just look at the size of Jormag’s tooth in Hoelbrak. Now use that to extrapolate his full size. What could Hundred Blades, Heartseeker, or Churning Earth possible do against something that large?
And if Kralkatorrik created the Brand with just a passing breath, imagine what he could do to a party of 5, or 50, or even 5,000 players. I suppose the Elder Dragons could just stand around while being beat upon like pinatas, as is the case with their champions; but that’s hardly an epic way for these “big, bad, and scary” foes to be dispatched.
That leaves us with the “Press Button to Kill Dragons” machine. Be it magical or mechanical, a device we all work together to build so we can kill the dragons is boring. It’s trite. It’s been done to death; and it’s usually done poorly. But it’s by far a better option than us whacking them with our weapons until they die.
And no matter what means we use to kill them, an Elder Dragon’s defeat isn’t realistic. If Zhaitan wasn’t a Saturday morning cartoon villain, that is to say if Zhaitan wasn’t created for the sole purpose to be defeated by the heroes, he’d destroy any force sent against him without breaking a sweat.
I cant wait until we blast him out of the sky so that we can land in his lair and fight beside Destiny and slay him with our own blades.
I’d rather read a 500,000 word poorly written wall of text detailing the Elder Dragons dying to influenza than fight them alongside Destiny’s Edge.
As has been said many times, the engineer really has nothing it can do that can’t be done better with another class. Sad but true.
No, it isn’t true. I can’t think of another class with better crowd control, and I know no other other class can get more versatility/utility out of a single build than Engineers.
You can, if you own them, place the WoW tracks in the music file and listen to them while playing this game.
PS – I do not share your opinion that WoW’s music is better than GW2’s. I think this game’s soundtrack is every bit as good as WoW’s.
Two points:
First, you’re violating the spirit of WvW. The achievements are supposed to be earned in the course of participating in WvW in a manner that aids your server’s attempts to win. By building siege engines where they’re easy to build rather than where thery’re needed, you’re not doing anything to help your server.
And you’re occupying a slot in the WvW realm while someone more willing to help the team might be sitting in a queue. Ideally, one would enter WvW to actively participate in a way that helps his server. Entering just to spam something for the sake of a personal achievement is, in my opinion, selfish. You’re not doing your share to make the community better.
Second, while I feel you’re violating the spirit of competition and community, you’ve done nothing against the letter of the rules. ArenaNet will not punish you. And unless you care about your reputation among your server’s WvW community, there’s nothing the players can do to you either (short of insulting you, which you can and should ignore).
So just ignore everyone else if the only thing you care about is achievements. But I hope you’re reconsider the means by which you’re attempting to earn WvW achievements. Who knows, you might even have fun.
Thanks for the replies. I didn’t know Scope was bugged, so that’s certainly good to know. I don’t want Speedy Kits because I’m usually not in that big a hurry to get from Point A to Point B; and the times I am I’m a WP away from being there in no time at all.
Yesterday I stepped back to evaluate my build (or future build) as a whole. And I came to question the use of the Rifle Turret to up my damage output. “If I replaced it with Utility Goggles, coupled with Analyze, would the combined Fury and Vulnerability not increase my damage output by more than that of the Rifle Turret?”, I asked myself. This would also give me a reason to run Speedy Gadgets.
Then I asked myself, “If you’re going to do that, why not just run Elixir B?” I’m assuming, of course, that the overall damage output would be increased more by Elixir B than by the combination of Utility Goggles and Analyze; but I don’t know if this is actually true. If it isn’t, please correct me.
So I’m still sitting at not knowing what I want to do. Maybe I just need to completely rethink what it is I want out of this class. Do I want to continue to strive for the Jack-of-all-Trades PvE balance I’ve used as a model for all of my other characters? This involves a bit of offense and a bit of defense and a bit of flavor to set it apart from my other characters?
Or do I want to specialize solely in the “flavor” (the playstyle upon which I focus the build) with just enough offense to keep killing mobs in PvE from becoming a tedious chore? This would obviously be at the expense of well-roundedness, but it would give my Engineer a more distinctive playstyle; which is always a good thing when one has four other characters he plays regularly. In the case of my Engineer, the flavor would probably be crowd control.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback. And, please, keep it coming.
This isn’t TOR, where every race is just a re-skinned human. The difference in a human’s body and a charr’s means adding new armor to the game will not be a quick process.
If you’re a weaponsmith, grab a stack of pick axes and logging axes for whatever tier you’re on and run a zone harvesting everything you see (preferably one you’ve already cleared). For fine crafting materials, you’re either going to have to farm Dynamic Events with waves of enemies that drop bags containing what you need, or you’re going to have to buy from the Trading Post. Refine materials until your experience gain halts, then maximize your experience gain by discovering new recipes (as close to your crafting experience level as possible). I hope that helps get you started.
They will most certainly release an expansion laden with PvE content, but no word on when has been released. The original Guild Wars game saw it’s first expansion released a year after the vanilla game was released, but there’s no reason to expect the same with GW2.
Hello all. I just hit the 10-point mark in the Tools trait line. I’m going to put 20 points into this line for the Scope master trait to complement my rifle damage/crowd control build, but I’m not sure what to do with the adept trait.
Because I primarily play open world PvE (solo more often than not), I’m not sure I’d get much use out of Always Prepared. And because the goal is to not be put into the downed state, I tend to shy away from traits that only activate when downed.
The only gadget I run is Slick Shoes, and I only use that to get out of trouble when things go south. So Speedy Gadgets isn’t going to be of any use to me. I do run the Flamethrower for “farming” DE’s with lots of mobs, so Kit Refinement, too, would be of limited use to me. And I’ve completely ruled out Deployable Turrets and Speedy Kits.
That leaves Static Discharge. I’ve got a turret on my utility bar giving me access to a Toolbet skill with a short CD timer. So I’m thinking this is probably going to be my best bet. Does this trait get the thumbs up from you veteran Engineers? Or would I be just as well off taking Always Prepared for emergencies? Thanks.
I just paid your server a visit over the weekend to hit up your uncontested Temples for some exotic armor (ours were bugged). Your vigilance is appreciated. You guys outta set up a “tips” jar next the the karma vendors in the Temples.
Great tool! Thanks for the link!
i’d like info thats is niche and hard to find, with visual explanations. Like woodenpotatos videos on the various consumables (that you’d need hours to find and test reading the wiki) or lore (that requires a deep knowledge of the world, gw1, and flavour npc dialog that no one reads)
I dont really care about seeing some random guy play, or talk about HIS opinions on builds/balance without backing up with facts.
Emphatically seconded.
It’s weird that they would try to prevent people from getting the things they need to level crafting…
I always saw it as a means by which they could encourage players to actually leave town and explore some of the world they’ve so meticulously crafted. /shrug
It’s also amazing to me just how many peppercorns and walnuts there are but 0 fruit off anything.
The NPC from which you must purchase the fruit already beat you to the trees; hence they have them and the tress do not.
I am not upset about it, but it comes out as a really bad surprise when you discover that it happens after you spent all this time making a Legendary.
Fair enough.
The very moment i login, there is already 1 blatant bug right in my face, and that keeps reminding me of the sheer amount of known bugs that i am going to encounter if i decide to play, among the new bugs that i am about to discover.
Then i am just going to report the bugs, add them to my list of known bugs, and the next time i login, i will be reminded that there are even more known bugs.
Discovering the game is fun, discovering bugs is not, whether they affect you positively(harr harr banhammer snowflake exploiters) or negatively(incomplete completed world map).
Bugs are a fact of life when it comes to MMOs. That’s always going to be true. And by MMO standards, this one isn’t all that bad. Sure, there are plenty of bad ones (Temples being forever contested come to mind), but engine runs smoothly and overall there aren’t many bugs that hinder one’s ability to have fun, regardless of what one chooses to do for fun.
6 – 8 hours a day is not casual. I play 2 hours tops – that is casual.
My guild has dwindled as well, going from 25 members to 4 members… we have a 5th we ask to come along for dungeons just so we can actually take part in some end game content.
I agree with some of what you are saying… i’m certainly not bored. I would like a legendary and have tried saving, but the loadstones are just not coming… i have about 1 – 2 loadstones of each variety. Kind of pointless saving all my other mats for this weapon if i’m not going to be able to get a pre-cursor or loadstones.
A-net really need to address drops in this game and they need to remove DR. I just went through a whole HoTW path and got nothing but blue weapons and the obligatory tokens… not even a green weapon – seriously?
Disclaimer: I use “you” as a means of addressing the collective community, not specifically Avigrus. I’m just using his post to make a point (hopefully).
What then? Say you’ve got your Legendary. Now what? Are you going to enjoy the game any more once your weapon has flashy particle effects?
If the answer is “no”, then your pursuit of a Legendary is a waste of time; obtaining one won’t magically make the game interesting. If the answer is “yes”, then you’ve got a whole other set of problems that would probably be best addressed by finding something more fulfilling in real life into which you can pour your free time.
Post after post in thread after thread speaks to what a problem the task of obtaining a Legendary weapon is. I GUARANTEE that if they’re made easier to obtain, you’re going to have an equal number of posts and threads of how there’s nothing to do once you reach the level cap.
Short attention spans are short. If the only reason you log into the game is because you simply MUST have a weapon with particle effects, then save yourself the time and go ahead and quit now. Why delay the inevitable?
You’re just going to be bored again after catching that carrot? Or you’re going to complain about a lack of carrot until they give you another one to chase. Then you’re going to complain about how hard it is to catch the new carrot and about how much you hate grinding for gear. Repeat ad nauseum until the day you either quit, or you learn to enjoy video games for their gameplay and stop playing the ones featuring gameplay you don’t enjoy.
The game is so repetitive right now. Im not even sure if the next patch would make things more interesting sigh.
What, exactly, is it you want to see added? If leveling an alt in PvE, grinding dungeons for gear, farming for money, competing in PvP, running in WvW, or simply playing the game for the gameplay isn’t enough to keep your attention, what would? Without knowing anything about you, I’d wager the answer is “nothing”.
The problem is that we don’t have the metrics to see which weapons are “under-used” and I don’t think Arenanet will release that data. Would be cool if they did, though.
One peak at the “post your stats” thread on this sub-forum will tell us everything other than greatsword is underused. But that’s not necessarily AN’s fault. Like insects to a bug zapper, the vast majority of players gravitate towards whatever weapon/build gives them the highest damage. The higher their damage output, the happier they are. Weapons that function as DoT, CC, healing, or support will ALWAYS be “under-used”, but that’s on the community.
1. Sunrise or Twilight do NOT count as Legendary, did you expect this?
Time spent on getting a Legendary that is not Legendary
So you’re upset that you missed out of a few Achievement Points and a virtual gold star? Sunrise and Twilight are now somehow devalued because teacher didn’t give you a smiley face sticker on your report card? You guys NEVER cease to amaze me.
Edit: There is NOTHING casual about playing a game, any game, six to eight hours a week. And with that much time spent doing ANYTHING, you’re bound to burn out and lose interest sooner than later.
I keep hearing the phrase: “You are not playing it right.” So I was wondering, what is a typical day/log in session like for you?
For me, in the morning with my coffee, I log on and generally I will log onto my main, a level 80 ranger and go and get small scales. I am working on a personal goal (the same one I had in Guild Wars 1) and that is to have a full stack of every material. If you are wondering, no, I never actually completed this task in GW1, as I depleted my gems when I needed them for Vabbian armor for my hall of monuments.
I never thought I’d see someone make this claim. I thought I was the only one in pursuing this frivolous endeavor. I never came close in GW, and I suspect I’ll never come close in this one either.
Is this really a problem, though? When was the last time you said to yourself, “Oh crap! I’m out of lemons/apples/cherries/etc and I don’t know how I’m going to get more!”? It just seems like an answer to a problem that doesn’t exist.
If you honestly think that i should have less fun in WvW because of my class choice then i don’t know what to tell you.
And if you can’t have fun in WvW except when dealing significant damage from range then I don’t know what to tell you.
At the moment i have no reason to do WvW on my guardian main when i can do it on my low level ranger and be a lot more useful to the team.
I imagine somewhere on the Ranger forum there’s a post in regards to Rangers needing heavy armor because they can’t survive focused enemy fire that reads:
“At the moment I have no reason to do WvW on my Ranger main when I can do it on my low level Guardian and be a lot more useful to the team.”
It took me a while before I realized this was a “post your stats” thread. For the longest time I thought it was a “greatsword gallery” thread.
As it stands now:
– Attack – 2653
– Defense – 2502
– Health – 17,885
- Critical Chance – 10%
– Critical Damage – 4%
– Condition Damage – 319
– Healing – 328
Bearing in mind I mostly play open world PvE (usually solo or duo) with occasional dungeon runs, on what attribute(s) would you guys recommend I focus my attention? I’ve already got a full set of Soldier’s exotic armor, so that leaves my weapons, trinkets, and runes for possible means of upgrading. Again, thanks to everyone for your counsel.
If you are looking for secondary stats the first thing you should look at is your primary stat….I know that sounds stupid. With Soldier’s armor and Zeal traits you will have very high power from the get go.
Now look at the secondary stats you already have covered. You have vitality from your Solder’s armor and 20 points in Honor. You also have toughness on your armor.
Your weapon choices are very defensive and have lower damage output.
All things considered you have your defenses covered and an abundance of power. If I were you I would go for Ruby Orbs because they will have the largest multiplicative effect on your high power. If you would like more fire damage you can trait Supreme Justice and run Rabid Crests or Coral gemstones.
Thanks for your reply.
I’ve got Absolute Resolution filling that slot at the moment, but I’ve considered swapping to Supreme Justice. The hangup is the mace’s slow attack speed, which doesn’t make the most of Virtue of Justice’s passive. I usually just leave Justice on passive against trash mobs (which die quick enough) and pop it against veterans or higher to gain a bit of a damage burst.
Obviously my Critical Hits are paltry when they do proc (which isn’t often), so I was considering beefing my Precision a bit. Are you recommending Ruby over Emerald or Coral? And should I abandon any notion of Sapphire?
Typically, it seems the consensus is that 30 in Zeal is lackluster so there isn’t a lot of information or collective experience about builds that use it.
Yeah, I’ve yet to see anyone, outside the occasional Spirit Weapon advocate, recommend Zeal. I run it for the extra Power and the extra damage from Symbol of Faith, which is traited to last longer. This squeezes a bit more offense out of what is essentially a defensive ability. I’m sure Radiance, with VoJ spam, would put out better numbers, but I’m committed to Zeal (for better or worse).
all i want really is dusk and dawn for my legendary greatsword eterinty. i know i need to make twlight and sunrise
Really? That’s all you want? Just two of the five most desired in the game? So that you can turn those into the rarest weapon in the game? Well I certainly don’t think you’re asking for too much. It’s perfectly reasonable to expect the rarest weapon in the game to be easily obtained.
Make Lengendaries easier to obtain, and you can replace all those “Precursors are too difficult to obtain” threads with and equal number of “Precursors are too easy to obtain” threads. If you guys really everyone and their dog to have one (hyperbole…calm down), then let’s change them from Legendary to Ubiquitous and just have players select the one they want during character creation.
Awesome tips, all, thanks a ton. I’ll give my ranger another go. I think the problem is, I rolled a Sylavari Ranger…and can’t stand the race! Ugh. Maybe I should reroll a different race to enjoy the profession more.
Because of the personal story, the voice acting, the aesthetics, and the atmosphere of the towns and zones, race selection is almost as important as class selection, in my humble opinion.
I’m not saying you should, as that’s solely up to you to decide, but if you do decide to delete your sylvari, remember to bank his gold and spend his currency on account-bound items (salvage kits, gathering tools, weapon/armor skins for other characters, etc) before sending him into oblivion.
I heard though that they are quite squishy in PvE and dungeons. I am not a big fan of a squishy class.
Though somewhat squishy when hit, Thieves can be spec’d to avoid many (most) hits via dodging or stealth.
It doesn’t matter what salvage kit you use if you want just glob of ectoplasm
Is this confirmed to be true?
In my opinion, crafting isn’t as valuable of a resource as it should be. I think allowing every character access to every craft, coupled with no competition for resource nodes, has lead to the market being inundated with so many finished goods that most people sell for a loss simply to clear their inventory so they can continue to power-level their crafting skills.
So I propose the following change: Crafting Specialization. What is it? It would be a system in which a player can select two crafting disciplines in which to specialize.
Benefits of Specialization:
– Can gain experience levels beyond 400 (if/when the cap is raised)
– Chance of some of the materials used to craft items being refunded
– Greater success when salvaging items matching your Specialization
(salvaging upgrades, more materials or materials of the next tier, and rare materials)
Downside of Specialization:
– You can only Specialize in two crafting disciplines
– You lose all progress gained in any crafting disciplines in which you are not specialized
Now since players have already invested a great deal of time, gold, and materials maxing out all crafting disciplines on a single character, the "cannot progress beyond 400) limitation might have to be waived to avoid forcing players to choose between hitting a ceiling and throwing away their invested time and money.
This system would hopefully entice players to specialize, which in turn would hopefully cut back on some of the glut the market’s seen since launch. As supply shrinks, prices would rise. In theory, anyway. So, what do you guys think?
Here’s how I like to play:
-mostly solo PvE (I’m not antisocial, just too busy to group at the moment)
-prefer range over melee (but don’t much enjoy kiting, but can if necessary)
-like joining quick WvWvW matches, time permitting, and following the zerg
The Ranger class more than meets all of that criteria. You can solo very easily, traps and pets can tank for you while you attack from range, and they’ve got some decent AoE burst when zerging in WvW. I’d suggest giving the class a look to see if they catch your fancy.
1. Elonians
2. Canthans
3. Dwarves
Hey all. I want to put together a comprehensive checklist of everything an adventurer should have in his pack at all times. The obvious stuff like gathering tools, salvage kits, and food are obvious. But what about the other stuff? What equipment along the lines of Ash Legion Spy Kits should no adventurer be without? Thanks.
