Whenever and wherever i join World vs. World always i have the buff “[Outnumbered]”.
oh not saying it doesn’t happen (it clearly does) and that people don’t go for the “better” servers when choosing one. But that only really affects the regular wvw maps, not EoTM which is a map with people from several servers and there are many éoverflows" of said map, so if you get outnumbered in eotm, either there rly arent any players at all playing at that time or you ended up on a new overflow. Anyhow, not really take a stance on your post ^^ just wanted to point the eotm thing out
Edge of the mists is a combination fo all servers that are x color, not just your own. So changing servers has not quite that much of an effect on said map.
While the biconics have more females than males there are other characters in the Living Story.
Yes and most of those other characters are female.
Arena Net does have a bias towards female, it is not bad but I would like to see another likable prominent male role, Braham does not cut it and Canach is not important enough nor is he often present.
Dare i say it…
..Trahearne
-ducks for cover-
i searched some firstborn on wiki and i assume that we’ll see those characters:
Dragonet: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Dagonet
Kahedins: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Kahedins
Niamh: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Niamh
Malomedies? probably yea. he’s the first silvary who meet asura: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Malomedies
Maybe we’ll se also this character connected with Faolain & Malomedies but i don’t know xD : http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Cadeyrn
Aife: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Aife
and Malyck? there’s a silvary during the trailer who seems him but i changed idea because if it was him, when you do the personal story Caithe, Trahearne and others would remember and knew him, i guess o_o
btw i’m so excited, can’t wait! i wanna play the ls >_<!
Thats not Aife in the torture champber :p and the sylvari you tagged as Faolin is male so cant be her.
Malyck wasn’t in the trailer, he only first became known in the personal story, no sylvari knew of him before that.
This looks great. Though I don’t recognize the woman (human?) who is turning into Caithe, anybody else recognize her? Also love to get Faolain in the story! Love that character.
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/trailer-seeds-of-truth-begins-december-2/
It’s the palyer character , i’m like 99,9% sure of that
Purple hair sylvari might be PC.
As for to catch a thief become a thief they probably talking about Caithe stealing the egg so she could catch somebody else…
The line probably referred that to catch caithe, you’ll get to see her past through her eyes , in a way “become her” trying to find out what her secret is.
I think the PC will be playing as caithe, but you never know.
Zhed’s dead, baby. Zhed’s dead.
As i said, it’s a glimps into the past. Who knows when they met.
Zhed is dead by that time though, the earliest they could ahve met was about 25-30 years ago, and thats still 225-220 years for zhed still to be alive, not to mention be on an entirely different continent.
Also, i think the purple haired sylvary might ahe something to do with caithe’s secret, maybe she killed her to keep what they found hidden?

Sounds like an interesting idea, but i disagree with one thing
- Our Main Protagonist could become after some Redesigns the Pact Marshall instead of Trahearne
The player character shouldn’t be the pact marshal, it’s a political position, being in charge of the entirety of the pact would mean settling difference between the orders, the various political heads of tyria and dealing with meetings and strategies. The pact marshall doesn’t go out on special ops missions like our character does, it makes no sense.
I much rather prefer to stay a commander in the apct, in charge of a special ops team that gets things done fast and silently, rather than have the player character having to deal with all the political stuff that comes with being a leader of said orginization.
I understand what you’re getting at Mad Queen Malafide. I mean, the Anet’s communication about any changes is basically nill. We have no idea they have done something half the time till long after the fact. I’m pretty sure I paid for armor repairs just the other day too. It’s not a universal swap yet.
And actually, as a new players starting out the inconsistencies do build up. I remember the other week, trying to help my friend and her husband sort out how to do a few fights. Both of them were veteran gamers, but the issue was that the consistency between creatures changes. With the Mordrim we’ve been learning to go ranged on the wolves, close on the squid plants (thrashers?). Otherwise death happens. WoW had a creature once, Anubisites or something like this, which spawned with a random set of abilities. Some of the combinations were impossible to defeat. That meant the raid was over for that week or until a means to go around the creature was figured out impromptu.I don’t really complain about the new goat-dragon with this week’s patch: new creature, new mechanics. However, when the mechanics are arbitrarily swapped it is pretty confusing what is to be done.
Now, could players work together? Yeah, sure, but I’ve quit blaming players a long time ago. If you don’t make your game so that players have to learn to work their brains they won’t have brains. That’s like a parent doing their child’s homework and then being upset at the child for failing their tests in school. “But they do fine at home…”
Any change is always written down in the patch notes, it takes a couple of minutes to read through them at most. And i’m pretty sure you didn’t pay for armor repair awhile ago, since its been about a year or so that’s its free and its not a process that takes time, it was a one time change taking immediate effect.
Really? I always go melee on the wolves (since tehy are pretty kitten hard to get away from anyway) and range the trashers to avoid the gooey path they leave behind and the healing circle on the other one different tactics, that isn’t an inconsistency.
Not quite sure what you mean by mchanics being arbitrarily swapped so won’t comment on that
Or why not simply not damage the armor of players? Isn’t that a more sensible solution? If armor repairs are free, and armor is not needed in the maze, then why damage the armor at all?
if you don’t want to go to repair everytime you get killed in the maze, get naked doesn’t make a difference.
As for the rest of the game, the repair function is to make dead matter, the more you die in a fight, the more armor breaks. Hence, pushing the players not to die so tehy don’t break there armor and have to face a bos naked.
(edited by dsslive.8473)
This is just so confusing. I’m pretty sure I was paying for my armor repairs yesterday at Camp Resolve.
The design seems all over the place. Now you pay for armor repairs, now you don’t. Now you have magic find, now you don’t, and now every boss drops champion bags which negate magic find entirely. Now we have bosses that have indomitable, and pretty much negate half the game’s combat mechanics entirely! Some items are account bound, some are not, and some are character bound on acquire. Some items can be salvaged, some cannot, even if they are of the same item-type as items that you can salvage (which is especially fun after doing Fractals, and getting that gold item that you cannot sell, thanks!). Some transformation tonics can be traded, some cannot, because they are account bound. Now we have dye drops, now we don’t, but now we do because they still drop from quest rewards. Now we unlock skills as we use a weapon, and now we unlock them with every few levels. Now we buy traits with skill points, and now we have to unlock them by killing certain champions.
-Breaths deeply-
Speaking of which! Veteran enemies, Champion enemies, Elite enemies, Legendary enemies! Some champions and elites take a lot of players to take down, some can be easily taken down solo. I no longer know the difference. Now we have red rings of death that you have to dodge, but we also have red rings that hardly do any damage at all. And now with the living story we have orange rings of certainly death, and we have exceptions where the orange attacks are still painful, but not deadly. And now we have a maze filled with enemies that insta-kill people, for no apparent reason. Want to bet that these very same enemies will not be insta-killing us in the next Living Story chapter?
This game has turned into such an inconsistent mess!
It isn’t really an inconsistent mess though, changes happen and you can learn about those both in the patch notes as well as just by playing and paying attention.
Armor repairs have been free for about a year now, just because you didn’t notice it doesn’t mean it is confusing, just that paying a bit more attention would help a lot of heartache.
All those things were either explained during their respective intro-patch or have been so since the start of the game which means there’s been plenty of time getting used to it all
The reason why champs/elites/etc can sometimes be easier with lower amount of people is scaling. While sure it may seem bit weird that its easier with less than more ppl it also make sense that the more people who are there the harder the boss should be to avoid a complete steamrolling of the bosses.
Red rings = bad, no need to know any more than that, orange rings are just fancy red rings. Whether they kill you instantly or do little dmg still better to avoid them.
Now to the Labyrinth, no it isn’t enough to get to the center with the first flower buff, there is a second near the center path you can pass through to extend it if you really want to get to the center at the very start (bad idea since those wolves come from the center , so better to walk around a bit first) but besides the buff which doesn’t always last long enough, here’s where your skils do sort of matter, speedboosts to outrun, invulnerabilities/dodge abilites to avoid dmg and dodging the wolves works too. A simple speedboost can keep you ahead of a wolf long enough to find another blossom (if you don’t trip or make a mistake ofc)
And no these creatures likely won’t be in the next living story, they weren’t in the story part this week either. The labyrinth is basically a nice minigame you can do after defending those towers and the rewards arent that bad. The little chests gives you greens and T5 mats sometimes T6 mats and champion bags and even a full key for the center. The center gives 3 champ bags a rare and some other stuff which isnt too shabby.
As to your idea that a tower defense kind of game would have been better i couldn’t disagree more. There is no reason why everything should be the exact same thing, defend here, defend that, kill those, kill that. We’ve got plenty of that ingame already and its nice to actually have something else to do. I enjoy very much trying my hardest to stay alive as long as possible. My best on my ranger was dieing only twice the whole time (i’m not counting attempts on my thief coze its quite easy with stealth) It’s a nice change of pace and still gives nice stuff to do. You’ve spent about an hour killing and defending stuff, now here you can ust try surviving and having fun doing it. It may not be you thing and thats okay
hopefully they’ll add something more to your liking next patch.
(edited by dsslive.8473)
What do you mean? There is repair anvil right next to the entrance and repairing is free.
Is it really? So wait, if I repair using that anvil the repairs are free? But if I repair anywhere else, it costs money? Argh! Why is this game so inconsistent?!
repairing armor is free everywhere, has been for awhile now.
@dsslive: well that was very badly written, imo.
Not really, i had no problem figuring out that dialoigue when you’ve just talked to the rest of Destiny’s Edge and know their plans.
I’ve been doing the entire LS on my mesmer, and i simply can’t say i’ve had any issues at all. Not with these bosses or the ones from the last episode.
I didn’t have an issue doing damage (was able to kill the bosses quicker than on my engi/thief) or keeping clones alive (aside from the light facet which was easily put down using sword).
And this is coming from a pretty average player.
can somebody explain me this conversation:
PC: Maybe you should help me and Rox find the Aspect Masters.
Caithe: Three humans who are used to flying around on ships are going to leave a trail a mile wide.
PC: What if the ships leave without you?
Caithe: Then I won’t be going with them. Is that a problem?
PC: Not for me.I really have no idea what are they talking about.
We ask caithe if she watns to join the PC and Rox, caithe then comments that people who are used to travel by air will be easily tracked down. the PC then asks what caithe wil do if the rest of destiny’s edge leave without her (the frist conversation you ahd with them that isntace mentioned them preparing to leave). To which caithe says she simply wont be going with them then.
Female norn 1 has an alternative in the black lion hairstyle kit. Human 2 has been transferred to norn female. Human 3 is the only one truly missing, which is a shame beause it’s a good one.
Ya I know that already, but I would like to have these back as they should be back, both for Human and Norn.
Though I am loosing my hope about this…I would love the third one, don’t really care for the first one, but the second one isn’t going to be added to the human females, hairstyles are race specific so they won’t add a norn hairstyle to humans. (even if it was there during the beta)
Well, Human female and Human Norn do actually have one same hairstyle.
Can’t find the picture atm, but check it yourself. :p
It’s a long hairstyle with some sort of thing on her head. And yes, I just love the third one aswell, that’s one of the reasons why I created my main as a Mesmer. I was so sad when I didn’t find the hairstyle or the armor ingame after the Beta.
Totally forgot that one i stand corrected. The second would be nice to be added to humans indeed

How do I do to go directly to event I want to reperform in the Story Journal ?
Seems I can only restart the full story for episode 5 which is kind of annoying.
Folow the purple stars, those are for achievement and don’t require you to start the episode from the beginning.
Yes, it’s only natural evolution…
The Zhaitan fight was just spamming “2”, it’s only normal that the next dragon will require no gameplay at all.
That would be far too confusing for new players.
I don’t think you quite understand, he’s not saying “replace the fight with mordremoth with a movie so we don’t ahve to do anything” he’s simply suggesting that at the end we get a cinematic that captures the journey we took to get there.
I played through the story with my mesmer and i did way more damage than a simple 5% per turn. That’s got to be a mistake lol
Yes the figths were long which may be boring to some (these days its all about the fast kill) but i liked them, tehy didn’t require a high skill level, all that was needed to fight them was a simple understanding of the mechanics, which could ahrdly be called difficult.
And no, i’ don’t do speedruns (i barely do dungeons anymore) i don’t do lvl 50 fractals or am that great of a player. It’s a simple case of understanding the mechanics and than just putting in the time to kill the boss using them.
(still, using my mesmer, i ahd zero issues gettting the facet of light down, at most it took 5 turns, at the least 3 turns)
Thanks for trolling and derailing the thread.
@OP: nice ideas!
He isn’t really trolling , he answered a question asked.
Also, those items are technically mounts, tehy jsut aren’t animals
the sonic drilling tool, the flying carpet and the broomstick.
It’s the mask of the Bloody Prince outfit. It’s available every halloween, so you’ll ahve to wait till next year to get it i’m afraid.
The use of the Home portal stone was very clear, if you don’t think it’s worth it then why buy it in the first place?
There are things to do in the home instance for thsoe that have gathering nodes in their home instance.
Why buy something of which the purpose is very clear and then complain that you don’t like it? If you didn’t like it, you shouldn’t ahve bought it.
How do u know he is in the south west if the new map opened up above and the plant thing that we don’t have access too yet, is in the top left corner of the map implying it would open up to an upper area?
Not saying u are wrong, but i don’t see what gives u the certainty he is there. Maybe i missed some piece of info.
The cinematic of Mordremoths awakening. He is shown to lvie somwhere past rata sum in a heavily forested/jungle area. Whic is something quite different from the wastes we’ve been in so far.
The reason why we are going northwest and not southwest to meet mordremoth is becuase other ways there might be blocked off or because we are going after the master of peace who is looking for something hidden there.
-snip-
Go easy on the guy, not everyone knows everything about glint’s lair and such, we can’t all be knowledgable in the lore of the guild wars universe
But yea, the Master of peace is heading in the opposite direction of where glint’s lair is to be found. Most likely looking for a magical place to hatch it.
Also, the dragon in the vision was indeed the shadow of the dragon (with the whole trees and shrubbey on his back) this new dragon minion we see in this video seems more like bark and seems way smaller.
sorry for bumping my own thread but the recent trailer made me want to say this:
i think the egg might be taken to Glints crystal place. you know, to take advantage of what glint left behind, ion cannons, crystals, egg. in many movies and games, crystals can be used to purify energy into beams (real life as well i guess).
the vision seemed to make that obvious if you ask me.
also, people told me the dragon in the vision that is being deterred by lasers was the shadow elder dragon, but it looks similar to the dragon weve seen in the recent trailer.
[tl:dr] were gonna get egg, take it to crystal place, almost kill the dragon in the trailer, then mordremoth is gonna interrupt us and do something to the egg.
Glint’s lair (the crystal place) isn’t located where the MAster of Peace s heading with the egg, it’s quite far from it really
You can use the challenge motes to reset the fight for achievements , i believe
Tengu Warrior/Ranger
Largos Mesmer/Thief
I guess it’s because the voice actors can’t use the characters actual name. And commander isn’t appropriate either, since they aren’t in the Pact.
Yes, I understand why they did it. But it’s weird to call someone “boss” all the time. Real people don’t talk like that. I think it would have been more appropriate if they called us sir, or my lady.
That would be equally weird. People that have become your friends and that you work with so often don’t call you “sir” or “my lady” all the time either. I’d rather have boss, even though it’s still weird, than sir or lady :p
Probably because we needed a chopper to get us out of there and needed to let siad chopper know where we were.
My wishlist would contain:
- Countess Anise’s Armor (armor yes, not as an outfit )
- Angel wings (white/black) backpieces
- Gw1 armor sets
- Race/Professioin change
Abaddon didn’t go insane, he wanted revenge for what the gods did to him just because he wanted to go through with giving the humans magic, whereas the other 5 turned on him and told him no.
That is why he flipped his kitten.
Some believe it is because he thought we needed magic to even have a chance against the elder dragons and he was going to stop at nothing to try to get it to us.
It’s possible the other 5 gods decided that they were going to flee while the dragons were awake and let civilization die and start over, and Abaddon was trying to save us by giving us the weapons to defend ourselves.
Ever been to the realm of torment, I’d say he went nuts alright :P
Except, you know, Abaddon basically made the Realm of Torment his kitten. Yes he was still trapped at the heart of the realm of torment, but his influence started turning it into his own world, all the while still plotting Nightfall and figuring out a way to get back into the mortal realm.
Yeah I mean that he did that to the realm, that is not exactly a sign of sanity is it
The whole place just screams, someone went nuts here!!!
Not necessarily an effect of insanity, could very well be intense anger and hatred that caused the realm to twist like that.
You are late to the party.
The amber chest farm have been fixed. And even with that chest farming it was fully possible to get the bosses killed.
Oh, that’s why everything is dead and everyone left. I see.
from EU, i see plenty of people do the events still, so doesn’t quite look dead or abbandonded to me at all
I wonder if that’s alluding to something. Glint was a dragon prophet. Was she a prophet simply because she spoke of things no one but her knew? Or because she could actually see into the future?
Could part of Glint’s soul have survived? Hidden within her realm?
Or hidden in an egg that was conveniently kept in stasis
But it would be Glimmer (the baby dragon) using his connections, those who are bound to protect glint and as a result her offspring, to do this for him. We know that the Zephyrites took over that position and that tehy are mainly humans, so they wouldn’t stick out in DR. Ofc a dragon can’t jsut walk in DR hold a knife over her throat, don’t be silly :p
Still hits two roadblocks:
- E is the person Marjory met. So if the person Marjory met is not ‘Glimmer’ then Glimmer is not E.
- Why would E focus solely/mostly on Krytan politics (everything has been LA or DR politics, or related to the Krytan nation) if he/she was a Zephyrite?
.
Well did the person who held a knife to her throat tell her he was E?
Anyhow, ofc there are roadblocks, there are roadblocks with every theory out there ^^ so much mystery.
Anyhow, i know very well that of all possibilities this is the one thats most farfetched. But its also the most interesting :p
A fair point.
One more thing: according to GW2 lore, Mursaat learned an ability where the would phase out of the Tyrian reality and escape the ED the first time around. Who’s to say not all of them came back when the events of GW1 took place?
I think the more important question would be, if they ran the first time, why would they return now when they are all awake again ((well aside from zhaitan who went byebye)
Reading the GW Wiki article on Lazarus the Dire
[…]Lazarus is one of the few survivors of the Flameseeker Prophecies.[…]
[…]He fled to go into recovery, but not before vowing vengeance against “countless generations”.[…]
Not only it is stated that he was not the sole survivor, it is implied that they can live for quite a few human generations.
The first line doesn’t take into account the Battle for Lion’s Arch, where a lot of mursaat lost there live and afterwards we only knew of Lazarus.
That said, i don’t think its impossible that there are still mursaat around somewhere
Wrong, Mordemoth woke only 7 years after Kralkatorrik. Also, Primordus originally was going to wake in 1078, around 90 years before Jormag’s rise.
You seem to have missed the entirety of season 1 so let me put it short, Scarlet FORCED Mordremoths awakening. You’re welcome
I know that, if you count this in, then our forces pushed back Primordus’s awakening by 42 years. Jormag’s rise was also accelerated by its worshipers. If we put mortal’s influence away, Primordus and Jormag’s rise would have a huge gap for at least 100 years or more.
Might i ask for a source that suggest that Jormag’s awakening was affiliated by his worshippers?
Wrong, Mordemoth woke only 2 years after Kralkatorrik. Also, Primordus originally was going to wake in 1078, around 90 years before Jormag’s rise.

Oh am I imagining all the gold bubbles and melted gold?
Care to share a link/source/picture of kralkatorrik having control over gold? I have honestly not seen a single sign of that. Everything of kralkatorrik ahs allways been purple roccks and crystal, the only thing gold about him is apparantly his breath, but the color gold and the material gold are not quite the same thing.
What VitalSuit said, you don’t change map by waypointing, you change map by accepting and lfg and joining someone else or when a request comes up or by relogging (doesnt always work) but yea, next time you want to change map, use the lfg
Another example, would be Nick’s book about the Bloodstone – how could Nick know this stuff? I mean, the Priory had to learn it from somewhere, sure, and it’s plausible Nicholas Sandford could know the Seer’s ties to the Bloodstone and the truth of Abaddon’s gift of magic, but the chances of that are so unlikely even given his travels and ties to Durmand.
The description says “Notes taken by a young Nicholas in discussion with his friend Durmond”.
I’m aware of this. But that doesn’t answer my question of how Nicholas – especially a young Nicholas – could learn things long hidden from human history for centuries/millenniums.
Also: I don’t think Nicholas knew Durmand until after the Searing – he was no longer “young” then.
Depends on your definition of young
anyhow, it’s not completely out of the range of possibilites that his connection with Durmand led him to learn more about this. He was quite the traveler afterall, maybe his travels have led to him picking up some stories here or there are things that not many know off. (God i hope i’m talking about the right nicholas ^^ the one with the dolyak right? )
Yes i know this could be a bit of a stretch, but it’s not impossible.
Also, when people talk about Glint’s baby, tehy don’t mean the egg. They are talking about Glimmer, the baby dragon that we protected in guild wars 1.
Uh… Where’d you get the name Glimmer?
I think Glimmer is a great theory.
To you and all those who think that Glint’s child is E, explain to me this:
How can a dragon cover Marjory’s mouth and bring a knife to her throat, in the middle of Divinity’s Reach?
Honestly? i jsut saw someone say the name and thought it sounded cute, so now i refer to the child dragon as Glimmer :p (just like the DSD is referred to as bubbles, and yes it is confusing to not add “baby dragon” to it i guess) The name doesn’t really matter though :p
I actually touched that in an earlier post i made mentioning this theory. As this is just a theory by no means confirmed and could be 100% nonsense. Thus meaning i don’t “think” it’s glimmer, it’s jsut a fun theory that could or could not be true.
This is just a simple theory that doesn’t have anything really pointing to it, but sounds interesting nonetheless.
This is the biggest reason I wear headphones when playing. Sometimes, little sounds like these are drowned out. For example, did you know the mini pet from Halloween, the Mad King’s pumpkin head?
It laughs.
But, as far as the voice, yes I heard it too. Distorted, but definitely there. Figured it was Glint. Could be this happened before her death? A ‘just in case’ measure before everything fell apart.
We’ll see.
It isn’t Glint. We know her voice and its a very clearly feminine voice. (she spoke to us in guildwars 1) While the mysterious voice was rahter masculine, low and heavy voice
There isn’t anything to “fix”
The reason for one waypoint both make sense lorewise and make the map feel the way it should feel, like a forward push in enemy territory.
We are only jsut beginning to set up a forward base, for the pact to be able to get people out there to set up more waypoints, they first need control of the area. Which is what we are fighting for in this map.
Also, the map isn’t that big, it doesn’t take very long to run back.
Hi everyone !
Warning !Spoilers if you didn’t already finish the Chapter 5 !
It seems to me that nobody is talking about the Voice who gives the Egg to the Master of Peace.
Probably because nobody is hearing ‘the Voice’ thanks to ANet’s shoddy programmers.
I heard to voice, so have others, so obviously it isn’t “nobody”
One of the things that bothers me about the “Tyria is imbalanced without the EDs” theory is simply that I don’t see an imabalance after Zhaitan’s death. Zhaitan was defeated two years ago and aside from Tequatl getting a mechanics update (which is suggested to be lore, but it’s a single thing) and another functional update (increasing the size of some risen models to better communicate their animations) I have seen almost no change in the parts of Tyria which would represent Shadow or Death.
If Tyria is out of balance, how is the Living World communicating with us to show us the spheres of Shadow and Death are out of balance without Zhaitan? Wouldn’t necromancers (death magic) and thieves (shadow magic) sense something about a change in the world’s balance? Wouldn’t there be a rise in shadowy or undead creatures?
Tyria has been rather peaceful for the last two years. Primordus, Kralkatorrik and Jormag have done squat aside from what they were already doing. Mordremoth would likely still be sleeping if it weren’t for Scarlet. Aside from Scarlet’s mess and the Consortium upsetting a few karka, Tyria has been looking pretty good these days.
If killing an Elder Dragon causes an imbalance in the world, where is the imbalance caused by Zhaitan’s defeat?
It is said that they will cause an imbalance, but they never mentioned the how long that imbalance would take to create a visible effect.
There is also the theory that dragon champions would be able to become an elder dragon themselves over time (like Ogden believing Glint would have been able to become one). This could explain the strenght boost Tequatl has had since Zhaitan’s fall, that he is absorbing some of Zhaitan’s magic and that in time he can become his replacement.
anet has stated several times they won’t make an expansion as long as they believe the living story can hold plenty of material. That being said, an expansion would likely take a whole year at the very least, so it wouldn’t even be coming anytime soon.
Plus, new races, professions, lands, abilities, all those things can be introduced through the living story. And ritualists were removed because their main purpose was information exchange long distance (according to lore, my ritualists never did anything exept spirit spam). Since technology has passed 250 years, ritualists have become unnecesary. The only ability they would have returning for is carrying ashes and summoning spirits.
Their main purpose was information exchange long distance? huh?
Technology doesn’t make magic void. Has an elementalist become unnecessary? have necromancers?
