Basically they don’t want completely uninterrupted healing, unless you’re using a focus.
Well since they added mining to the newest dungeon, don’t see why they couldn’t add other open world stuff to dungeons, like pets (put it behind some optional boss) I wouldn’t mind doing an unorthodox run to help out the rangers in my guild.
There should be an option, I also want to remove the damage numbers, they are so annoying. You can’t see how much health the target has so what relevance are the numbers :/

Cool idea, more chains and dependancies is always good.
Why are people even talking about “easy”, the difficulty is irrelevant. It’s just not fun to have half your skills and traits become useless (especially as you don’t have an auto trait switch while underwater)
And you have no real weapon choice. Every class gets every underwater option they have at once.
If necro pets and engi turrets work underwater, so should my elementals. My engineer’s elixir gun can be fired at walls and objects to get the ground targeted effect. This should be the case for all of them, (my well necro is disappoint.)
I like the underwater combat but the execution is like some kind of alpha.
I’ve never had to farm, just stop being so impatient.

Grenades > Harpoon gun makes this almost irreverent. So much so that I refuse to even spend my money on a harpoon gun because of the fact that it has no effect on grenade damage.
I’ve not really tried grenades underwater (or at all tbh), are they better even if you aren’t grenade spec?
I’m loving the new turret so far, would be nice if it had some health though.
Valar, try placing the turret in places without aoes. I switched TO the turret in the new dungeon and my party loved me for it, first time ever using the healing turret and it rocked. Maybe you are too set in your playstyle to mix it up a bit :P

Really loving my engineer, though I should log into my ele, I often use a glyph/signet and technically this build is a bit of buff to me.
Been using d/f for a while just to get used to the style and it’s nice for tanking dungeons :p
Its 30 points in discipline. I wouldn’t worry about being suddenly blown up.

I find it fun to find cool new places and meet folks and do things. I don’t understand the living in poverty part of your question at all though. You don’t need gold to do anything fun in GW2
You guys are complaining about nerfs when they are buffing stuff as well. What they are doing is weaking some things and making others stronger. AKA balancing. Your making it sound like they are just nerfing everything to oblivion without giving anything back which is totally incorrect. We don’t know at this point fully whats going to be buffed or nerfed in this patch. People always complain about nerfs but they must happen. League of Legends buffs and nerfs things all the time to change the meta of the game. GW2 is fully capable of doing the same and it appears they are.
In theory they are buffing weak builds, in practice they are not. They even said they aren’t going to do anything for staff Eles in pvp.
They aren’t getting any more damage though. The unblockable signet removes the passive power bonus (when it used to give more damage) and boonhate is 30 in discipline.
tbh it’s giving more options for good play, timing your signet well rather than spamming it as often as possible for might seems like a better gameplay.
GW1 had much more boonhate and that was fine, also as said, 30 points in discipline.
Mechanics that target playstyles is not bad design, it’s counterplay. Just like equipping a sigil of nullification if you are fighting boon users.
In reality you don’t use 2 weapons at the same time if you want to be effective with either.
Many people leave at the beginning of any mmo, they buy it, they find out it’s not for them. Building a guild later after a game comes out tends to be wiser, as it’s the actual players that want to play the game rather than the people just trying it out.
The damage is against people with boons, not with boons on you (correct me If I heard it wrong in sotg).
Either way warriors need help in pvp, removing some flat damage boost for 3 unblockable hits isn’t a pve buff.

The problem isn’t any “lack of trinity”, it’s that there is no hard content that requires roles beside beserker.
In any trinity game notice what happens when people outlevel “trinity” content? They can do it in any spec/class. Trinity doesn’t make content challenging (say hi to dark souls)
I got a Dusk drop not long ago. So, considering it was selling for 700 gold, yeah, you are much better off being lucky. You will not accumulate 700 gold by just playing standard style.

It seems that the support mindset is infinitely more useful than any support traits or gear in GW2.
Any spec can support the party, but they have to want to help out if someone gets agro they can’t shake, pretty much every weapon has something that can help out, and if not there’s usually space for a supportive utility.

You don’t need trinity for a raid. A raid is just larger group content, for example, guild missions, which are being rolled out as they are made.
So nobody needs to ask for raids, they already exist.
Also there are world mini dungeons, and I did read in a thread a dev was saying that upcoming jumping puzzles would keep getting harder. Maybe at some point they get up to dungeon difficulty.
Elementalist / Engineer both have about the same gear and I have lots of fun on both, can’t decide :p

Making elites build defining (like in gw1) is the solution. Elites should be something you want.
lol wasn’t a revolution for esports so shortly after release, it takes a long time to get to that point. even starcraft was terrible for esports until 1.14
It doesn’t “interrupt and slow the pace of play”. IT IS THE PACE OF PLAY. kitten how can people not understand this so long after launch. Longer fights are better than shorter fights anyway.
If you see 4 people trying to revive you don’t all stack and stomp, that’s dumb, you aoe the crap out of them and get free damage on the ressers – stop trying to shoehorn gameplay from other games into a game that doesn’t use the same systems.
I’d prefer a 4th ability rather than bandage though, I don’t think you should be able to get yourself up (add bandage for pve only)
I had a random DC last night in tPvP and the game let me back in as soon as I re-selected my character. Then we won.
You can’t have kitten internet and want to be competitive at the same time (assuming your DC was longer than few minutes).

Try to avoid facetanking the mobs, every weaponset has the tools to keep pve mobs away from you.
I also vote for Rifle and Shield, something neither of the other scholars can use (bows also could work though I think they’d suit the mesmer more)
one trait should be lower cd in all attunements, one should be increased casting speed in all attunements, etc etc.
All traits should support attunement dancing imo, but with a flavour relevant to the traitline it’s in.
I prefer the new AC, and now I know why.
Reducing frivolous hp and increasing teamwork is my favourite kind of gameplay. Looking forward to this treatment on all dungeons. (hopefully more bosses with phases?)
Still I’d love for it to scale up so guilds have more options =p

Hmm well they’re both fun classes, If you can get a guild and some regular parties both classes have a lot of options for groups.
I personally have more fun on my engineer.
I’m kind of stuck at 80 myself. I’ve got the best stats on my armor and weapons, so what now? The one thing I don’t like about this game is the only other thing I can do is grind for skins…not higher stats. And honestly, looks/skins just don’t matter to me. higher stats yeah
If you only care about stats in other games and you get the highest stats, what do you do then? The same thing. pvp or stop playing.
Aurora Glade is awesome, since I moved here I’ve been having a lot more fun than on my old server ^^
My boyfriend and I play Ranger/Engineer respectively, I really love the synergy (he loves lightning arrows, I love blast finisher in water fields XD)
@Arekai you can join every group with every class already, especially if you have built in a synergistic manner.
If you want to get into 4warrior1mesmer groups though, you can go warrior warrior or warrior mesmer.
The main problem with the any class in the meta is just that beserker gear is the best if you’re skilled, the class itself doesn’t really make more than a few seconds difference (which is lost in searching for specific classes)

the more people you can get together to do events will increase the scaling, higher scaling = more mobs = more loot and xp. also you can get xp boosters in dailies and never forget the fact that almost all food gives 10% xp bonus.
Dungeons also give the majority of a level for each completion, so if they are in guild (on voice chat) you’ll be able to do them efficiently.
I just wish capital cities were part of the same map chat so you didn’t have to stay in LA to talk :p
And I’ve never had anything I’ve attempted to type be restricted (beyond when repeatedly lfg) so maybe you should stop being so vulgar.
