You can run any explore mode before 80 if you meet the right level. It helps to be 80 since then you can have access to all your skills, traits, and the tokens can be used to buy nice shiny exotic armor. Ive run and had others run explore modes with me that are not 80.

Just stun, root, chills, etc, you cant transfer a fear since you have no control during that time.

Yes jado i need to learn how to play when most of my skills and weapons need to have a target to hit, my stun breakers are 60 seconds atleast, my 1 root has a cast time, DS dark path does not move fast enough to track you, and my grasp wont hit anything that moves. So I have tons of ways to fight a thief besides using my few aoes from the staff, ds 4, and my 1 or maybe 2 wells at most. If they render correctly I can stack bleeds, have more time to maybe root you and apply some damage. So besides sitting there running in circles I have atm very little ways to fight you besides im going to just space out aoes and hope you run into my aoes I placed. I have nothing to make you fight me, my auto attack on staff is slow, axe auto does not track, dagger you have to be in my face longer then a second to matter. So again all I can do to they fix stealth rendering is hope my aoes hit since I cannot stop you from running or force you to fight me. I will not die easily on my necro but any decent thief will run before I can kill them and I can do nothing since I cannot track them or follow quickly.

It doesnt break but it will transfer it so you can move from that spot is all, same with dagger. They cannot be used while down but you can use DS fear while being knocked down.

They cant reduce the time you spend in stealth because it would destroy that for PVE and PVP alike and if you change the duration for just pvp like you did for guardian it just will not be the since it will hurt the class far to much. Patching the rendering bug will solve some class’s issues to fight a thief.

This wont help much but here goes

Skills that give Stability
- Lich form – you can transform then cancel the form and keep it for like 20 seconds
- Plague form – you can transform then cancel the form and keep it for like 20 seconds
- DS if you get it for the trait but doesnt last long, should be like 3 seconds long

Stun breakers
- Signet (actually cant remember its names atm but long cooldown)
- Spectral armor
- Spectral walk
- Staff 4
- dagger 4
- flesh worm teleport
- i think that’s it actually

We cant really do anything about that besides report them and be patient while they patch whatever it is allowing them to hack. Now providing pictures, video, and such to show how much rending can make a difference or showing how these to sigils can hit for to much is something we can do.

Portal Bombing

O i saw this a few times. One time a mesmer ported a group of players to him and they are starting to build a treb on this cliff. Normally my 1 second staff aoe fear has never saved me or anyone else but this time i got 3-4 kills because they ended up being to close to the edge of the cliff. Ive seen it other times and you can instantly drop some players. Down side to this is everyone the players who port in dont always know what is going to be there or exactly the location they go but it is a tactic atleast.

Must of us all know wells are good at doing damage if a player will stay in them for all the pulses which seldom works. Wells also have a really long cooldown to the time they are actually up. Power and crit based builds even do better with the well damage but being down for at least 35 seconds for 6 pulses of damage at most is not that great since again you have to be in them for it to work.

That’s because those 2 skills don’t hit anything unless the target is standing completely still anyway, I swear, these complaints would lessen if Anet fixed the bugs and useless traits/skills first instead of discussing balance.

Sorry it was meant to address the guy above me, but I agree so many complaints would stop coming up if things worked right. Like the rendering issue would solve mine about thief for my necro because then I could actually fight back quicker since i need a target for most of my skills to work on my condition build.

Remove bleeds entirely from Necro and give us Necrosis stacks instead.

Because power builds are so bland for a necro. Ok same for condition builds but overall necro is a boring class no matter how you look at it.

Orr is just so annoying to run around in, to many undead each with pulls, chills, and more pulls. The events happen way to often like to defend or take back a temple. Those have to have longer cool downs because players cannot go back to lesser zones to do them because they are so annoying and offer no reward to do so.

I should point out that there are a great many people who genuinely believe that due to you being casual, you don’t deserve anything from Arah. Because they are for “the elite”.
Unfortunately this attitude seems to be shared by the devs, who promised accessibility to all before release and now smugly proclaim “Do story mode!” to casuals, claiming explorables to be for those great awesome super hardcore players who are totally cooler than you (this ironically forgets that some story modes are, due to overtuning, harder than the explorables!).

If your definition of “elite” is “players that like to be challenged” while you define casuals as “players that want to steamroll everything without any problems” then I agree, otherwise you are wrong.
Arah is not only for “the elite”, I see newbies kill Lupi every day. It’s not easy, but doable.

Of course when I suggest that there should be a “hard mode” for the elites, not necessarily with extra rewards, just a mode to challenge them so they ccan feel good about clearing “top tier” content, they balk at the idea. I do wonder why.

What about an “easy mode” without any rewards instead?

Congrats on being lucky enough to find a group that clearly knew what it was doing.
No one ‘learns’ lupicus and dies once in their first attempt in a group full of inexperienced casuals, especially if they’re a ‘terrible player’ as you claim to be.
If it was that easy, no one would be complaining.

If that is how you want boss fights in GW2 to be than we have nothing more to talk about. If you don’t want a learning progress involved it’s fine, but it doesn’t help your argument.
In general, GW2 is neither exclusively for casuals nor for non-casuals players, it’s a little bit of everything. There are a lot of things that can even be done by casuals with ease (e.g. every exploreable dungeon expect Arah) but certain things need a little more knowledge and involve a learning progress. So, if you can’t do Arah – whyever – that doesn’t mean that you can’t do anything at all. There are still enough dungeons to run, designs to get and titles to earn. Do what you can do instead of trying to take the fun away from those who like a slight challenge.

Well, I’m a necro with 20 points in toughness and he only spawns a grub out of my Jagged Horror every once in a while (maybe 2 out of 10 times). But, if he does it’s a guaranteed Empowered buff for him, that’s true.

That horror has more grub spawns for me then i think should be possible so i guess im the really unlucky one. They need to fix that thing so we can turn it off or on because it has caused me more trouble then its worth so many times.

Thief needs to be reworked completely.

Revealed buff does not apply if you only use CnD so you can move from target to target and never be out of stealth fore more then a second. Atleast this was the case for me last week as I was trying to figure out how I would better follow a thief. best way to fight a class is play it and tbh im at a lose for trying to stop one of you from running. Also rendering does not always show you visible to others after you exit stealth as well so combined with rendering issues a player might not see a another player exit stealth.

I can be built to be fantastic bunker build with ok bleeds and can survive things well enough but we are not OP in anyway. We cannot chase down other class’s, our spectral grasp and dark pact often miss targets, our corruptions beside epidemic are not that good. Our minions do poor damage, have poor health, and like to attack whatever they want. We have numerous bugs in our traits. O and our traits are just boring over all. If and when they fix our traits and change reanimater for the better of the class I might say we could be OP but no more OP then any other class for a change. I will admit though we are a very boring class to play since we are a attrition class over all.

Yes you can prevent players from hitting you every other attack if they are in range. This is very easily countered by other class’s.

It really did give a unfair advantage to a server with more players and having all three orbs making it harder to fight back. So I do few its more even now that they are gone for now. Although i would prefer they gave like more money, karma, badges based if you had one or more orbs then stats.

1 vs 1 would be perfect to test bugs out in the game though. This way we could confirm easier if necros get more lifeforce from that tree, show to devs grasp never works on a moving target, show them how easy it is to avoid necro root from the dagger. Show them that thieves and warriors and such can easily burst out 12k+ damage in a second. 1 vs 1 would be perfect to test out many many things.

I don’t think they need reworked, I think toughness needs to work better for everyone else and once rendering works it will solve the issue of them remaining in stealth for so long so it gives you more time to fight back. Cloak and dagger should apply the buff so they cant cloak so quickly. Once that is done players should be able to fight back more then.

Far to many thieves will still get away from fighting me because I can do nothing to keep them fighting me on my necro which annoys me but they are meant to be the most mobile class so little I can do until they fix grasp, dark pact, chills to last longer, and make my bloody root instant cast so it will work before a thief can stealth.

Once you know what mobs you have to kill in TA and which you can run though it takes maybe an hour and thirty minutes to run all. The catacombs is shorter but sometimes hard if the burrows wont die quickly since necromancers and others have a hard time hitting them sometimes. Cad manor can also be done easily as well. Those are the three easiest i think.

Attrition is fine and all but so many times we cannot actually stop them from getting away. Our dagger root is just to small of a range to work most times when we need it to and why does it have a cast time anyways, dark path seldom makes us catch a player running away to work right. We have chill on blind for a trait which is nice, shadow minion blind takes to long to go off, we also have chill in staff attacks. Then we have spectral grasp which almost never hits anything that moves, long cast time and huge arc. Then if it hits they might not be pulled back all the way, a hill can stop that from working right. We have one minion that can root but the cast is horrible for it go off. We have a cripple from the scepter, and another chill on the focus. I would say we could use fears but 1 second is just not enough, 2-3 seconds without having to spec traits to extend would be perfect since they allows us necros to spec into better things.

So yes we have some chills and some root type things we often have to be in a 600 range for them to actually be effective to hit, they dont last long enough unless you want to just get runes to extend durations so we can actually keep a foe chilled long enough to maybe slow them down while they escape. I would rather spend runes to extend my bleeds or make me harder to kill.

I have had so many players run away from my necro. They cant kill me ether so its just a stalemate. Most times this happens is because when I need something to pull them back, slow them down, or catch up to them it does not work or they are out of my range. I am having better results with a carrion set of armor in a bunker build so i can bleed them to death just they still often get away if they notice they wont kill me anytime soon.

So that’s great mammoth you tested it, thank you for testing a bug which most of us still believed to still be bugged since we used to have players rally for no reason during 1 vs 1 fights and the jagged horror was the only thing that died. Now go test to see if it makes arah last boss any harder because of the horror. How about you see how often it runs off and try’s to attack a mob, or why does it cause us to be stuck in combat sometimes taking longer to get out of combat since we have to wait for it to die. Why is up after we kill or down a player, what god does 1 little horror do at that point?

I didnt even know there was a hack like this, I saw a teleport hack on another pages teleporting to get supplies very quickly to build siege weapons but I didnt know it could be used to attack orbs. Both need to be prevented from happening since it actually does ruin the fun of the game even if you dont know its happening for your server or against.

Maybe land based mounts like the cows :P. I would never actually want a real mount to get around normally, sometimes like though orr because of the 10k undead each one with slows, yanks, and other things in each area but never though the other zones since its not a issue to get around.

Wow Daimius that is sad to hear actually I have much better luck on my guardian who i have a very similar setup with all magic find gear, using foods, and even guild banners and I get at least 1 one a hour and normally more. Still I have never seen 1 exotic from a drop or chest though.

I still think they need to fix all the skills and traits for all class’s that are not working before deciding to nerf the damage. I think once they fix the render issue it will solve alot of the thief problem to be honest. Prime example mesmer illusions do damage trait, they dont do damage to begin with so its pointless now. Another spectral grasp for necro, that thing will only grab something if it never moves. It also has a long cast time and huge arc so it takes forever to get to a target. Another example again from necro siphon traits which are beyond low amounts of health restored. Look at the signet heal for thieves as well, its health restored on hit is also very low so most thieves do not use it. Number of traits and skills are just not worth using.

Now i would love to see another melee type weapon besides daggers and a axe since we have so many skills that use melee like our wells, spectral skills to get up close and personal, dark pact to kinda teleport to a player and such. Now I say kinda teleport since often times it go no place because ive noticed if hes on a different level then I am I cant get to him, even if its just a hill and withen range.

I completed this for 4 of my buddies in real life. I had to use my own laptop though to do it. For whatever reason there was always this small lag i couldn’t adjust to when using there desktop’s. I showed them in person that the camera just didnt turn fast enough to allow me to make some of the jumps on to gears and beams I needed to make while using there machines. Still not sure what caused it for them but there machines are much better then my laptop is according to specs just something was not causing the camera to move right. I suspect alot of players had this issue.

I miss all my minons from gw1 and all my health drains i had. I miss how necro worked in the first one and i understand somethings wont work in this one but they tried to make necro into a completely different type of class from the first one it feels like instead of adjusting it. In gw2 necro doesn’t feel like a necro.

I miss all my vampire like skills from one so much i basically had a vampire build, a minion master build, damage over time build, and a very good healing build, now i have a condition, power, and bunker build. Two of which are the same thing and even my bunker build now does slighly decent bleeds so its close to a dps build as well.

Death shroud doesn’t feel like its something a necro should have since it doesn’t summon minions, is not good at applying conditions, or even healing yourself since it doesn’t do a health drain. it can heal others but not yourself which is odd. It just feels right with condition builds and over just clunky to most players. In the betas I loved it I cant lie about that since I figured out how to work with it but since then it feels just off with its changes.

I understand the pain but its easy enough todo if you goto a keep fight normally very quickly. Sometimes this is harder to do based on how you are built, skills, etc you use. I find conditions much harder to apply at keep fights from the top of walls so I prefer rawr damage to get this done on my necro. It would be great is spec grasp worked so I could pull a player from a wall but that works maybe 1/10 times because my targets side steps even slightly it misses. Now fun thing you can do is apply marks to the side of keep walls along with wells if you have the trait to place them from a distance. Ele’s are great for attacking foes on top of walls and taking down siege weapons as well.

Yeah i have never seen my bleed crit before, nor any other condition. More stacks, long lasting durations, even things to buff my base damage of my conditions I do but ive never seen it crit for more damage. You can crit and add another bleed and such. So what do you mean when you crit Sheo.

DanH, the only reason you into so many players now running bunker builds beside players who like to is because of such high burst damage warriors and thieves.
