yeah all these changes should have come 2 months ago, at the latest. when i watch sotg people like jon sharp and peters know wut their talking about that seem like decent PVP players, but i really think the company is not giving these guys the development resources they need tomake a great pvp game.
seperate PVP and PVE. just make PVP a seperate game competely different abilities that will be tweaked and balanced to the PVPer’s heart’s desire
who cares bout PVE players not getting used to it. better have a great PVP game that they need to master rather than a crappy PVP game

its “in the right direction” but god its sooo slow. nerf haste is good, but doesn’t mean that’s all the game needs. stealth nerf good too. we need bi-monthly updates and seperation from PVE. but PVE is holding pvp back
make banner like a secondary weapon replacment u can swap back and forth when the duration of the banner activation.
and give banners a burst ability like “impale” or “heart stab”
pvp needs balance. pve does not. u fight NPC monsters in pve. why does that need balance

Good suggestion I hope they take it to heart. Although to be honest they could of done a lot of things for months now. The ball has been in their court for a long time and their actions has shown us where their priorities are. Or whether resources are lacking.

custom arenas should not be free there needs to be a money barrier. otherwise nobody’s gonna be playing the matchmaking solo free’s. we need casuals in solo que

Okay then let’s drop the issue of evading to the side or backwards. Let’s just talk about when you’re out of evades and your only option is to run. When it comes to a warrior a thief doing 100 blades or pistol whipped, I can just run straight through them and be out of their hit box very quickly. But I can’t do this with the Mesmer because he automatically turns around and continues to hit me.
Yes you can run side or backwards, but you don’t move as quickly and also you don’t move out of the hit box as quickly because there is a 130 yard melee frontal cone.
evading backwards or sideways is not always an option because sometimes you are against the wall or maybe on a ledge and evading backwards is impossible or because you fall off the ledge.
Of course you also have a limited number of evades. When my evades run out and I can dodge anymore, then moving forward through the enemy is the quickest option because moving sideways or backwards means not only I move slower but there is also a wider hit box arc that I stay in before I’m able to move my character outside of the hit box. Of course this isn’t always the case, but when it is the case having the option to move forward through the enemy is possible with warriors and thieves, but currently not possible with Mesmer’s because they will automatically turn around to continue the channel.
In that case thieves should not enjoy the advantage of having their dagger throw be disabled if they are not facing their enemy. That means they can spamthe button regardless of direction they’re facing and not have to worry about wasting initiative if they are not facing the target. why do thieves get to enjoy this advantage when warriors do not?
Yes I know that great sword cripple will land no matter what direction you’re facing. I’m not talking about the great sword cripple. I’m talking about the ax throw, the hammer shockwave, and to a certain extent the one-handed sword cripple.

Yeah I wouldn’t care if we just didn’t get the full heal at all for activating the Signet. The point that I take the Signet for is the regeneration that’s what differentiates it from the other healing abilities. Right now the healing regeneration from the Signet is so ridiculously underpowered that anyone is crazy to use it in PVP.

That’s only for the great sword. I’m talking about the one-handed sword and ax. That’s why said sword and not “great sword”. and now i editted it to specifcy “one handed sword” to be 100 percent clear to people like you.

Warrior cripples suck
The thief dagger throw that cripples is spammable., But most importantly the ability does not activate if you are not facing the target. I will repeat that the ability does NOT activate if you’re not facing the target. That prevents you from wasting your ability.
On the other hand the warrior ax and one handed sword cripples will activate even if you are NOT facing your target which means you will have wasted the ability and puts it on cooldown.
Please tell me, game designer, why the thief gets this easy mode training wheel on their cripple? Shouldn’t the warrior enjoy this benefit as well?

Heck, even the warrior one-handed sword burst ability “flurry”, as weak as it is, doesn’t allow you to turn during the channel.
if I’m standing in front of the Mesmer and he casts blurred frenzy and then I run through him until I’m behind him he will automatically turn around and face me continuing to cast blurred frenzy. He doesn’t have to do any of the turning himself.
With similar channeled melee abilities of other classes , you can’t even turn your character during the channel, let alone have the 100% automatic turning that the Mesmer enjoys.
With something like 100 blades, I can run behind the warrior and the rest of his 100 blades will miss because he will continue to be facing forward.

What’s the reason for having Mesmer’s automatically face their targets 100% of the time no matter what even during the cast of blurred frenzy? I haven’t seen any other ability in the game do this?

yeah u guys dont be dumb it was also cleared up in SOTG by the dev’s, not once but twice.
If that’s true at least get to find out who the biggest nerd basement dwelling no lifer with one millionglory points who that person is. I don’t think I would be very proud to be on the top of the leader boards if that was the case. I would be quite embarrassed.
Yeah and even though that they have separated a few spells from PVE, they clearly try to avoid this is much as possible in order not to alienate the PVE players. And I think we would be getting PVP updates much more quickly if it were for PVE taking up so much of their time. I doubt there game director even plays S PVP, and that’s why all his posts are about
PVE and wvw. Instead all we get on these forums is the PVP designers who are at a position on the company ladder to be disciplined by the higher-ups if they leaked too much info.
The last time I watched the state of the game, Jonathan Sharpe talked about getting in trouble with some higher up in the company named Martin because Jonathan leaked too much information. That’s ridiculous because I don’t even recall there being anything significant leaked in any of the state of the game’s and I’ve watch them all. To be reprimanded for leaking too much information is just ridiculous and lets me see that the developers are actually afraid to talk to us truthfully about the game and they can’t badmouth their boss either for obvious reasons.
Well it’s the complaints on the forums for leader boards that push the devs to implement leader boards. I have no sympathies for arena net because they do have the manpower to make S PVP much better much faster, but they choose to diverge those resources to PVE and wvw. So I will complain all I want.
“As far as MMO’s go the balance in this game is good” that doesn’t really say much when this game is trying to become a top-notch PVP game. The PVP in other MMO’s have pretty low standards and aren’t even close to being a fair competitive game. I’d rather have this game have high standards and try to become a popular PVP game rather than some PVP tacked onto an MMO like the ones you find in all the other MMO’s. Who cares if it’s an MMO. The point here is the PVP part of the game, not the PVE or wvw.
The progress that S PVP makes is just ridiculously slow. At this point I’ve pretty much given up. I login to play when I get the itch, but my hopes of this becoming the game that I dreamed of is long gone. I feel like I spend money on a mail-order bride convinced that she would be the love of my life. When I found out that she is annoying, lazy, and farts openly around the house I became depressed for a long time. Finally I just accepted the fact that she is only human and my standards will cease to be so high for my own sake. And now I just go about my day focusing on other things in life rather than letting the negativity take over.
Not to mention going on Internet forums to chat with other men who also suffered from disappointing mail order brides.

I think if you gave the proper buffed to the healing Signet then it would do a world of wonders in making the warrior a better bunker in PVP.
Make it so that the regeneration takes heal for more that way we can survive long fights with big HP problems which will maximize the potential we get from a constant health regeneration.
I don’t even care so much for the healing that occurs when you activate the Signet. I just want the regeneration to be improved.

hasnt been mentioned yet, but i for one took mcuh time to admire the well-defined bone structure of xeph’s face. very lean and healthy looking, resembling an aboriginal human breed which is rare nowdays. as for the nero fellow, his softer boyish looks are a fine addition as well. certainly some fine qualities in the charm of his dismeanor reminds me of an english youth.
