By correct positioning you mean stacking in melee range so he can’t hit you with his only dangerous skill in path 1?

You don’t need much dps to keep wraith aggro’d, but if you attack him with projectiles only he resets.
DM has never been an evidence of skill, even for people who actually completed path 4 and not bought the run. During my path 4 run I wasted at least 30 minutes because two people in the group couldn’t keep the aggro (attack and tag it) of the wraith and it made him reset his health and go back to his first spawning point. Could you ever possibly call those guys skilled ? but they will still earn the ability to get the DM title no matter how much they messed up. In particular we had a ranger who insisted for most of the time to use his bow to kill the adds that were attacking other people once the wraith switched his target and once the wraith came back to him he didn’t attack/do enough damage quickly enough, making the wraith reset, for a whopping 30 minutes.
Didn’t it strike you strange that he couldn’t damage wraith fast enough as ranger with a bow? Seems like reading comprehension in gw2 is a skill.

i See 10 in zeal and this trait in a Lot of Builds with this argument. Fact is to utelize These 10% you have to keep your target constantly burning and Even then its pnly singletarget if you dont go for a Long burn aoe skill.This trait is the Most overated trait for guardians – hands down

Not really true even with perfect spark runs if you didn’t have enough DPS it wasn’t going to happen.

I’m sorry to burst your bubble but the typical, strong arah group looks a lot like CoF : 3 war, 1 guard (for the utility), 1 mesmer. Conditions? What conditions? We take things down as fast as it could be as it is with power/pre/crit builds.
It’s the result of same thing, skipping. Take you average puggers and they will wipe against champ spider or giant.

How many people after they die analyze what went wrong? Not many I assume. Same cries when anet disabled wp-rezzing. It’s always easier to bruteforce encounter than analyze situation and adjust.
Issue with pre-nerf Simin wasn’t dps requirements, it was “dps forgiveness”. Having a party with a really high dps allowed you to make mistakes during sparks run or just plow through her with 4-1. If you had average dps, this fight was fully doable but harder because you had to pull sparks properly which most teams couldn’t do.
On the topic of Subject Alpha, he’s okay, but stacking in melee shouldn’t make this fight autoattack fest.

I don’t play wubwub, just pvp or pve, but imho mf is better in pvp, at least if you’re roaming.

I haven’t said it’s better, just more fun. AH means you would rather use shouts while MF means meditations.
I would personally recommend 10/30/30/0/0, the only flaw in this build is the lack of vigorous precision. Other than that, it’s very solid build. Though I think running monk’s focus instead of altruistic healing is much more funny, however you may not have same opinion.

Yes, she was bugged and once I joined them she wasn’t anymore.
Strange, I have yet to meet a single person in-game who thinks that there’s nothing wrong with that encounter. I’m willing to bet that the people who claim it’s not bugged are always using the 4-1 sparks bug to defeat that boss.
Strange, I’ve joined teams stuck for hours just to complete it in ~15 minutes. They were often saying that’s she’s bugged.
With a really low dps party she kept hiding at 25% but after better spark runs she died. I’ve never got this “bug”.
Seems like you’d want to change 18k to 10k and get various boons. Besides, you can’t get perma protection on elementalist, only on guardian and if you stay in one spot all the time.
When you get experienced you don’t need that much effective health. At the moment I have 12805 hp.
Wubwub is another tale where I can’t help because I don’t play guardian there (or at all).
For pvp, it’s much easier to optimise builds because of simple stat distrubution through ammy+jewel.
It depends what you want to do.
Do you want to faceroll content while carrying your teammates? Go something like 0/5/30/30/5 or 0/0/30/30/10, I agree it’s rather great support-ish build.
Want to deal some damage? Go at least 10/25/x/x/x. What you’re missing from those traits are +%dmg and those traits stack multiplicatively so with radiant power and fiery wrath it’s +21%. You can get build with ~6.5 effective power while maintaining similiar level of support.
Next thing, from pve strict pointview, oils/stones are inferior in every aspect to potions in most dungeons. Only place for oils/stones is wubwub.
This is really funny because I still remember how a lot of warriors were bragging how vigorous shouts was great trait. I heard something about “heal 5k every 15s while still doing 30k dmg with 100b”.

I tried arah3 once since patch and crusher is still pullable to the first area (though he might res 3-4 silvers but they shouldn’t aggro you if you pull him properly) while hunter has like negative armour (though in reality it would make him taking negative damage, seeing as damage formula was made), I was hitting him for 7k with thief sword autoattack.
I prefer changes to stagnant gameplay.
I don’t know how you get those results because autoattack with hammers has better dps than gs. Though, in real situation there are other factors influencing dps.
2. Lets assume it’s 4 stacks only. It’s still more dps and its party wide.
3. As everyone likes to say, dps is equal to 0 when you’re dead. I prefer active defense (vigor) than passive.

Now, don’t get me wrong. If I could, I would probably run something like 10/30/30/5/0 with MF because meditations might offer more complex gameplay than shouts. But seeing as I can’t have 75 traits, the only alternative would be 0/30/30/5/5.
The whole point of my exposition was to make you (and others) realize that going 30 in valor for critical damage isn’t always the best case scenario for dps reasons.
Doesn’t mean it costs 5 trait points. They put points there for attunement recharge bonus. And what’s with ele now, want to get their damage on your war? Highest hitting ability in full zerker for ~15k with 30s recharge, self root and 3s channel. Compare it to 100b.

Hammer builds usually get as much in honour as possible (symbol traits) while GS build should have 15-25 in zeal and at least 10 in radiance (until they fix blind exposure). I guess you could make 15/25/0/30/0 for hybrid build for both gs/hammer.
You should make a build with weapons in mind.

2. My build has 91% to crit with gs and 106% to crit with 1h sword so it’s almost always 5 stacks.
3. I went yesterday to solo lupi with 10/30/30/0/0. Couldn’t live through phase 3 because vigor > passive heals from valor in most harder fights. I’ve done it with 20 in honour easily.
4. Build I posted doesn’t use elusive power which I pointed out.

Pure breed glass canons would be around the 11k. And thats 30/30/0/10/0 with crit hitting 90%. But eles weren’t designed to be glass. They were meant to be partial support and the other part being dps. This is a stark contrast to gw1
Zerker amulet and jewel puts your hp at around 14.1k without any traits.
The fact that ele’s were nerfed is a testament in intself to show how over-powered they were, and still ARE. Clearly the character is broken, warriors do not compare.
They were nerfed mostly because of pvp. On the other hand, warriors rule in pve.
yeah, 15 seconds to go back to the attunement you just came from, not 15 seconds to change to another attunement, you can do that instantly. By the time you cycle through all of your skills in each attunment, the first attunement is readily available again.
You’re not supposed to cycle through your attunements but use them when situations calls for it.
