And I believe 5 man teams should only ever face other 5 man teams (as in queued with a full group). There was also no guarantee that pre-mades would win vs full pug groups, but I’m sure it was a source of a lot of rage posts.
This Evan guy seems alright. The season changes look good to me. I only play ele and don’t feel any need for a balance patch. Nerf warriors and condi mes to make my life easier tho. tia.

Geez. A lot of replies. I’m not against kiting and resetting at all. But come on, it’s not even using stealth to reset. It’s shortbow x 1million with endless cc removal.
I play an ele and I know all about movement nerfs. I have agility on my MH dagger so that I can maintain some sort of movement while running without air in my spec. I can’t catch anyone without air in my spec. Period. Oh wait. I can catch some people with fiery greatsword, and break combat with it. But vs a thief, not even close. The problem is also with my class because it was stripped of it’s former roamer glory. Have mercy.

Using the same build as above in wvw is very lackluster because it requires players be cc’d or they move out of meteor easily. And you’re easily at risk to dying on the outside or to condis. You need at least 2-3 other dps eles to be efficient rdps.
I had an okay time in spvp this morning as maurader staff, scholar, air/force. A/W/T.
Basically range, cc, and meteor. Overload air and fire on people. The new map is fun. That’s the only one I played. Averaged 9-10 kills per game. Maybe like 1 or 2 deaths. I found it extremely difficult to get lightning flash off in that place. The wood floors seem buggy as hell.
I’m very bored with the game right now.
This game is so imbalanced. Thieves have always been OP. So what if there’s a bunch of threads about it. How about anet actually does something about it? You shouldn’t get to shortbow away endlessly. And cleanse on dodge , etc . It’s dumb. Also, if a thief dies to wells, they are awful at the game.

Now that that’s cleared up. Thieves are still dumb with the constant uncatchable movement they get. The class is designed as a troll right now in HoT. The SM troll ones that port through every floor is like a minstrel ele.
Ele is garbage overall. lmao – I’m not salty. WvW is also garbage. I stopped playing spvp after season 2 or whatever one it was when they dumped cleric amulet. I pretty much just farm achievement points when there are no guildies on to do anything worthwhile.
The point of the thread was about there being all these sperg moves that people have where they just outrun every time they get pressured. Engie can do it, too. Ele was the best at it, now the worst, so I am allowed to point fingers at the other classes. It’s just I’m going to get slammed by all the people playing them right now. Idc.
The only problem with condi is tick speed. It spams combat log. You can’t do that with power attacks, really. There’s only lbow ranger, and lightning storm type skills that spam power attacks in a row. Overload air was nerfed in all game modes because of ranked spvp.
Because it’s dumb right now.
Most obnoxious: Thief (you could play with a blindfold on)
2nd: Warrior (doesn’t take skill)
3rd: Trap ranger (takes skill)
Debatable: Mesmer (due to stealth, double blink, and alacrity). PU condi needs nerf for other reasons than movement. It’s probably the most successful solo roamer, but it takes somewhat skill to be unkillable.

They just run forever, stealth, put a few condis on you, and downtown forever. Rinse and repeat.
I can’t cc burst them. I can’t burst them at all with scepter/arcane because it does no damage whatsoever. And I can’t heal after trying to burst them.
The only thing I can do is kill both of their pets and hope someone keeps them in combat until I can recover health. But that never happens because they have endless quickness.
Imo nerf druids and daredevils. They are so cheese and it’s obvious.

These lag spikes have been happening to me since Friday’s reset. It’s only this game. It happens in WvW and PVE. Got d/c’d twice today in pve maps. Friday I was skipping around all over the place in EBG and even OS.
Was there ever any discussion about having an arcane elite skill?
What do you think would be a good thing for it?
I think having something that fits with the 45(s) timer on certain sigils would be cool. Not sure what effect I’d have it do, though.

To be constructive, I think unsteady ground should not have a cast time, and everything in fire should apply a burn.

Anet really screwed up scepter for ele. Being squishy needs to give a high damage reward. It’s like they want to continuously push one class into the healing master and leave it there. I hate it.

Warrior because it takes a month before you can even start damaging them. Then you have to try to catch up to them.

lol. that video is still funny, and still true. look at all those useless sigils they worked so hard on trying to make good. and moving stun breakers from useful things to put them on useless skills because changing things is what gets developers paid faster than fixing them. note that they didn’t need fixing or changing. ele skills were never imbalanced imo. the only thing that did massive damage was meteor shower into tornado. that was gutted, meanwhile a rifle warrior can still do those numbers easily.
Lets breakdown the Lol-factor changes over the years (you can look up the links on your own): Glyph of Elemental Power as a stun breaker, the inability to heal in mist form, ride the lightning range nerf, ride the lightning requiring a target for short cd, ride the lightning no-longer lets you cross gaps (you sperg rapidly downward and smash your keyboard), every remaining amulet choice in spvp, the warhorn LOL, that change to air one in scepter that let us aoe 5 with it that lasted about a month before it was stealth nerfed, the cumulative ramp-up number on scepter air 1 making it feel like you’re doing huge damage when you’re basically doing the first hit of what any other damage class does, immob in vapor form GG.
Staff is the only weapon they haven’t destroyed.
D/F is the go to surivability in WvW and Spvp. There are no other choices.
Here are some completely unnecessary buffs: making ether renewal a cantrip (ok so you can now get the old cd of the skill by specing into cantrips when cantrips suck compared to shouts with trooper runes).
I only play ele so I know all of the trash they keep doing to this class, all the while buffing the kitten out of warriors since the dawn of time.
I hope pvp dies and twitch stops letting anet broadcast.

The amulets in spvp were only “op” because they gave you 1200 healing power. You only need like 800. Hell, you can keep the boon duration, just give mt TVH!
Also if you chose heal on aura you would be getting stuck in every DH trap by not having stab on overload. The ele needs healing power because that’s the direction they took after expansion. It’s not even the best bunker, engie was/is. Chrono is also amazing self-sustain.
Cleric (no longer available) and menders are both horrible choices.
The amulet that has boon duration on it is not viable.
Trooper are way better than durability in pvp/wvw.

People don’t like Mag because we have an ego from being the best for so long. Most of us only PPT to stay in whatever tier we want to stay in. Right now we wanted to be in t2 because t3 is nothing but siege wars.
I play WvW because I like pvp with the stats I like to use, not the garbage they make eles use in spvp. I spend most of my time roaming because I’ve never been much of a follower. While I agree Mag has a lot of skilled players, we also have a lot of horrible players that I don’t even know where they came from. I troll Mag pugs hard everyday. I legit feel there is way too much stealth in the game now. (Yes, stealth. Not condies). Fighting roamers where there’s 4 out of 5 that can stealth whenever they get any pressure put on them.
RE: the current matchup, I have been getting ran over by 30+ jq, and 20+ fa when fighting already outmatched roaming fights on the regular.
I wish there was an easy way to calculate the kills and deaths for your own individual character each day in WvW.
This game is boring 90% of the time because the enemy plays 2 ways: sit inside a structure and spam siege, or wait until off-hours to ktrain 10 players.
Also I’m tired waiting for reset AT ELEVEN PM my time. DUMB

Home Instance via home portal stone: It’s 900 gems – that may be an “only 900 gems” for you but 900 gems could well be too much for others.
You quoted me saying “only” when I didn’t. I used achievement points to cover 400 of the gems, and spent around 200g for the other 500. I do consider that a lot of gold. I don’t ever use a credit card to buy gems. It’s one of the items I’ve always wanted and only got it recently, and I wish I had it earlier.
Can you show a hammer over someone’s head when they are repairing siege, like the fractal for cliffside?
Can you also reduce the repairees stats as if they were in a transformation?

I’ve never seen more than 4 people at a given time at the crafting stations in WvW, and it has never been a problem. Now, not only has the most convenient thing in the game gone, but LA takes 10x as long to load.

I find staff works for every level. Water/Fire/Tempest. Full zerk. Build
I’m not meta with this, but I use it because it’s what I have. I actually use strength runes because overload fire is used every cd or to kill trash. Exchange frostbow for anything else useful, such as cleansing fire. Exchange elite for either fgs or rebound. It’s fast and fun. That site does not let you put in max AR. S/F would work better with my runes, but those weapons don’t have AR in them for me. I find staff extremely useful as heals, cc (breakbar included), and rdps are all top notch.
This [&B2gBAAA=] is an extremely underused trait that I’d like to see go away for a place in water that gives a boost to health like how water used to give way back when.
Anything to get up from the 11k hp range. So say a vitality from prec, power, or ferocity. A baseline of 15k is the goal pretty much so you don’t get insta-gibbed. This is more of an issue in WvW, (and PvP, but almost no one is a dps ele in PvP, so I won’t even go there).
I know marauders was made to help with this issue, but I’m focusing on traits here, and thus feel this is a feasible exchange.
