They seem to be letting aspects of the update – mostly dialogue has been caught – slip into the smaller updates.

We’ve made some minor text and VO changes to the Personal Story since last fall (e.g. rewriting and rerecording select Trahearne lines) as a live test, but none of the PS restoration changes have been released yet.

I was in the recording studio with Matthew Brenher (the actor who plays Trahearne) recently. We had a good discussion about his character and talked about why we were redoing a bunch of his lines. We gave him better context this time around, and I think it shows in his new performances. I’m looking forward to hearing the feedback once people have had a chance to play it.

This is exciting to hear! I mean Traherne is sylvari….but that doesn’t mean his lines had to be so “wooden”. The few new things from Traherne I’ve heard in the living story are much more alive and make Traherne seem much more of a decent character. I can’t wait to hear & see what other changes get done.

As always, thanks so very much for your updates on this. I’ve gotten all of my characters that haven’t finished personal story up to where I want them and now just anxiously awaiting when we get to see the restored story. Thank you.

All of the collect things should go to the wallet

No, currencies should go in the wallet. I hope they add the historical ones there too.

Collectables (foxfire clusters, blade shards, etc.) should have a place in our crafting material storage.

I like the in-combat changes for chill/cripple not changing how your weapon skills function.

I do not like in any way whatsoever the out of combat swiftness doesn’t let me go father.

I guess they don’t want to trivialize the use of hang gliders by engineers (and others) super speed rocket booting from one side to the other in the new maps where you would otherwise need to use the hang glider in order to get from point A to point B.

I don’t think it’s about keeping us from mountain goating (which this will do) but making it so that the new maps stay fair for everyone.

I still don’t like the swiftness change.

See the spring cleaning at the bottom. we were notified it was going away.

It’s been over a year since they broke it and the only response that we’ve (my husband & I) gotten is from customer service telling us Oh why don’t you post to the forums to see if other people want the night animations back….as if it was intended.

They broke howler and can’t even tell us that they plan on fixing it.

I always thought that was a bug as no other race got their home instance waypoint automatically.

They’re hexagons in the trait lines, but they’re square in the side panel where you select the traits.

Yeah it looks meh now, but once they each have their own unique icon it’ll look better.

What I REALLY can not stand is when I buy a skin from the gem store. Then if I decide to wear another skin later (or change my armor to rebalance stats) I would have to spend even more gems to put it on again.

Yeah, but all you need now is transmutation charges to use that skin from the gemstore again.

I remember having to buy multiple sets of gemstore armor if I wanted to use it on more than one person or if I wanted to change it and change it back. That was a nightmare and I much prefer making a new character, mapping the cities for transumation charges (and then just going ahead and getting a key too) or doing the daily pvp to get charges.

The wardrobe we have works so much better than it once did and I’m very grateful for it. Yeah I’d love a way to save a look or at least set favorites and I hope someday we get that.

2. The loot from the chest doesn’t change based on the tier of the labyrinth.

It’s funny how many people think it does, though.

Not saying it does, but if it doesn’t, what’s the point of having a tier system that requires more pods to get to increase the tier? Why not just leave it at tier one and have the maze?

The loot in the LESSER nightmare pods gets better with the tiers. The greater nightmare chest stays the same regardless of tier.

I submitted a bug report in game about it. It’s been broken for a while now. Very sad.

It’s all white borders now and I hate it. I hope they fix this.

It does work a little better than during the first stress test where you had to spend a point to unlock each line before you could train it up.

But even still I found myself looking to see Um.. Okay I’ve equipped a mastery line how do I use the points. Once I figured out okay, need to fill the progress bar before I unlock being able to spend the point. And I need to spend the point in the line before I can use my glider (or mushrooms).

A little tutorial on how it all works would be nice. Ideally it would happen as soon as you hit 80 and there would be a small track as an example to show folks how it worked. (This should only happen for the first time you hit 80).

It is much better placed in the hero panel too.

My one concern I hit was as soon as I filled up the progress bar I found myself rushing to get out of combat so I could slot that mastery point because I didn’t want any additional XP to be wasted. It didn’t seem to go to the next progress bar until after I spent that point. Like when you just have a tiny bit left on a PvP reward track but you get 600+whatever points OVER what you needed to finish the track. All that extra progress is wasted because it doesn’t roll over to the next track.

I like doing map completion and I’m getting close to having all of my characters with 100% (currently working on #16).

I think it would be silly to have map completion account wide anyways as I consider it as part of my character’s personal progression.

Both sides here are at fault. It’s a matter of respect. Respect the farmers, and people’s farming and they’ll respect you.

This right here. My husband went and did this heart yesterday, there were people farming, he did the heart. He didn’t bother them and they didn’t get in his way either. Heart done quickly without issue.

The density of ambients or their respawn rate isnt’ the problem. It’s the people on both sides who think their way is the only right way and they go out of their way to try and ruin it for the other side.

You can do the heart easily without bothering maize farmers and you can farm with your maize without bothering those doing the heart. The key here is respecting each other and their space. The times I’ve been on that island the maize farmers aren’t using the entire island and there are plenty of critters left to do the heart with.

I did get mine, and also have a beta character slot on my account again.

The email basically says the day/time and make sure your client is up to date and you have to play a filthy human character again.

It’s 150-300 dust per day. The same is true for the star of generosity.

There is a way around it. For the first bit, jump across lightning platforms. The last jump, jump DOWN to the bit way down. From there, jump to the branch. Kinda scary but very possible. Go normally to get your attunement. Then suicide jump once through the portal. Go back to stormy, then go to the right hand side. Line up carefully and jump down to the branch just before the arrow platforms. You can get to the second portal from there, without jumpshot or anything else. Tested by an engi (cos i could) and a mesmer who said i cheated and then i had to go back and do it again. Give it a go. RoseofGilead, see if that makes sense?

After you suicide jump you can also jump from the first platform down to the arrow platform provided you have your fall damage trait equipped. That’s how I got through yesterday.

I have my mesmer parked at the end now if anyone wants a port in the meantime. Just contact me in-game.

sometimes I lose things in my bank and it’s simply in a slot I didn’t think I put it in (lost in the mass of stuff in my bank). Have you tried using the search function on your bank to make sure it isn’t just in a different spot than you think it might be?

If it isn’t then I would contact support and tell them what happened, they might be able to replace it for you.

Yeah, the description should definitely mention that it isn’t salavageable.
But, to make sure, can’t you just put it in your inventory and double click a salvage kit? If an item is not salvageable, it will be dyed red in your inventory.

I realize it’s too late now though, I hope you find a solution.

That’s fine when you’re salvaging things, but I’ve found some weird ones on the trading post that you can’t salvage and it’d be nice to know that lvl 4 sword you bought you can’t salvage for luck or whatever.

If there is something out of the ordinary about an item you should be able to see it in the tool tip. I lost a bursting sigil in a rifle because I forgot I bought it from wvw….I now don’t buy any gear from wvw.

I’ve always wished that unsalvageable items had a warning on them.
And if it cannot be forged it needs a warning for that.

WvW gear would read: Cannot be Salvaged, Cannot be Forged.
Karma gear would read: Cannot be Salvaged.

Seriously, there’s warnings about every dang thing else, but not that.

It depends on how the room owner has it set up, when you look at the room in the list if it now says “No progression” then you won’t get progress on achievements, dailies or reward tracks.

Most backpacks are way too low on asura…just as twilight/dawn/eternity are excessively high on norn females. They do need to check vertical placement of stuff better.

You can swim down on the other side and swim backwards through the puzzle to get to the water spout. I wound up doing that myself since I couldn’t get in the proper way.

You can get Onyx lodestones from Earth Elementals, Dust Mites (who also drop charged lodestones) and I’ve never had a problem getting them. Dust Mites seem to drop onyx more often than charged (which is what I want).

Farm Dry Top or the Silverwastes and you’ll have no issues getting lodestones and/or cores to upgrade to lodestones.

You realize there is no reason to carry your bandit crests & geodes with you. You can spend them from your bank.

Other stuff like writs, scrolls of knowledge, etc just store in your bank. Pony up for a permanent bank access and store most of your gem store items there too. It’ll save you lots of space.

This isn’t a nerf…it gives you more which is the opposite of a nerf. They buffed salvage kits and you’re complaining because you have more things to vendor.

I would also like to see who has the largest amount of fall damage received. I’m sure someone out there has me beat, but my best so far has been 3.5 million damage received.

I’ve always hated that invisible wall. It would be so much easier to get to that vista from there, but apparently we must take the long way around.

I’d rather we get daily mystic forger more often (I need more mystic coins).

They’re expandable up to a point. Sometimes the largest possible version of the chat box / minimap is still too small.

Like when we had the stronghold beta test the mini map was tiny tiny, you couldn’t zoom in and the largest possible version of the mini map was still way too small.

The only option is to make all of the UI larger (but sometimes you don’t want everything bigger just the map).

Yeah, mine would be from Pugquest 3. I decided not to try another event until I was sure that I’d actually get a Llama from the event. Seeing as how tomorrow marks 3 weeks and I still don’t have it I’m starting to doubt I’ll actually get it. I’d like to get one of the fancier Llamas but why participate if we don’t get the prizes?

Some of us wish they’d at least restore the night time effects that they BROKE over a year ago.

Yes, I wish it had a better warhorn sound to help distinguish it from other plain warhorns (the SAB warhorns have a unique sound…why doesn’t Howler?)

Aura & footfalls are fine as they are. They are more subdued than others but that’s how it should be for Howler…..but fix the dang night time effects.

The moon should glow all night long and you should hear a wolf howl when you take it out and use it. The night time sparkle is gone. Howler is dead and they broke it when they removed the endless (actually probably bugged) howl loop sound effect.

Broken legendary is broken. It’d be great to fix it to restore it to what it should be.

I’d use my scrolls now, but I don’t feel like clicking that much so they’re sitting in stacks on an alt awaiting conversion to the new currency.

I kinda want another host that isn’t Ruby, she’s monotone, enthusiastic and dry. But yeah, “Chronomancer! Whoo! Dragonhunter! Yeah! Necro…..meh, lets go for a ten minute troll stream!”

I <3 Ruby. She’s friendly, keeps the conversation going without awkward pauses, and I would never characterize her as monotone just because she doesn’t do crowd-revving calls to action. That’s not her role. She’s there to guide the guests along, to monitor chat questions for things to pass on to the guests, and to help the guests speak more naturally even if they aren’t comfortable with the camera. She also has to be alert to any possible leaks of info that isn’t cleared for release. But in all that her love of the game and of the people she works with comes through loud and clear. She’s doing a fine job.

I don’t like Rubi for the elite spec previews. She talks over the guests and for the regular POIs her fangirling is fine…but for trait reveals it sucks. I hated her on the mesmer reveal because she kept interrupting, talking over and the mesmer reveal barely got any information because of it. Can we keep the trait reveals on the Ready Up stream? The information we got in the guardian steam was so much better and more professionally presented.

I wish I could delete my two human characters but they know recipes no one else does so they languish at a crafting table. :P
